Our problem was a simple one: sediment had collected in the head of the faucet over time and was blocking the water from coming out. The water heater project was more expensive than we'd expected, but that was because they insisted on doing things to code; they said that if we didn't want to do things to code, we'd have to use someone else. We didn't bother to get alternate bids on the repiping because we knew their work is solid. Jason, the owner, prepared a very detailed bid. We had a number of questions, and he was very good about answering them. The repiping itself took about four days. The work was far less intrusive than we'd initially expected. They replaced our old steel piping, which was giving us a lot of problems, with copper. During the work we questioned why they were putting in single-handle shower valves when we'd had two-handled valves before, and they gave cogent reasons for doing so. Alligator said that their rates are about average, and we believe them. Perhaps we could have gotten the repiping done by another company at a lower cost. But we'd rather contract with people who have already done good work for us and whose work we trust. We've always believed that the most cost-effective option is to go for quality, and Alligator certainly delivered in that regard. Highly recommended!
