2nd Visit Update: I promised Noy (the owner/chef) that I would be back today to try her Pad Thai, and she absolutely delivered on her promise, of being delicious! I returned for lunch with my cousin and son, and the Pad Thai was spectacular. The flavors were perfectly balanced and exactly what I search for in this dish--a dish I usually refuse to order because I am so picky. This is easily one of the best Pad Thais I have ever had. Once again, the spice level was spot on, flavorful, and perfect. Noy even came out to check on me again, knowing I returned specifically to try the Pad Thai and wanted to make sure the flavor and spice met my picky expectations. That level of personal attention is unheard of! My son and cousin also reconfirmed that the Pad See Ew is one of the best they have ever tasted. Pure Thai is a family oriented eatery, and was the perfect place for our family to go to catch-up in conversation. The highlight of the meal was the Khao Soi, extremely flavorful, with great chicken and left us wanting so much more. The Tom Kha, Drunken Noodle, and Thai Fish Cake we also very good and would be recommended. Gotten delivery from them a couple times. Got some curry dishes and also the Tom Kha soup. Both were very good. I do wish the curry dishes had a little more of the coconut flavor. The dishes are very spicy if you pick extra hot. I love spicy food, usually when I get the spiciest option it is still only what I'd consider medium. When they say extra hot they mean it! They also have extra extra hot but haven't tried that yet. The price seemed a little higher than similar restaurants in Uber Eats but after seeing the portion I was happy. Admittedly ecstatic to have Thai in our neighborhood and given our visit is in the pre grand opening phase I know it will only get better as they hit their stride. It is clear the family running this restaurant cares about quality and customer service. The pork skewer appetizer with papaya salad and sticky rice makes for a great start. Perhaps the skewers could have a bit more char but the bold and balanced flavors are there. The drunken noodles also had a great flavor I first thought was ginger but the owner indicated it was finger root or krachai. There were also green peppercorns and many Thai restaurants seem to skip both with a less authentic approach. The green curry was spot on and the fresh vegetables were perfectly done, especially the eggplant. I can't wait to visit again to try more of the dishes and support their success. read more

This is a newly opened restaurant, so some leeway is due. Clean and well appointed for a small space. About nine tables. Servers are polite and very attentive. Problem is that my wife's meal came out 15 minutes before mine and she was nearly done before mine came. Portion sizes are relatively small, smaller than I would expect. This may be because, the dish was almost all protein with very few vegetables. Seasoning was simple, lacking in complexity or layers of flavor. Thai ice tea seemed " weak ". My wife and I have been going here about once per week since they opened. We're not the type to write reviews (this is our first) but felt compelled because this place is so consistently good with such friendly staff it has become a staple in our routines. The ambiance is very comfortable and clean and we love to dine out on the cozy little patio when it's not too hot. My wife almost always gets the Veggie Delight because its so light and healthy made with fresh vegetables and herbs and the sauce is just incredible. I'm still trying to pick a favorite because I love trying new things - and there's a lot to choose from here! You can't go wrong with the Yellow Curry, Drunken Noodles, Lad Na, Pad Thai, Spicy Tom Yum or Tom Kha. But whatever I have next time will likely be my new favorite! read more

Pure Thai Kitchen is a family-owned Thai restaurant that opened on North Cave Creek Road just south of Tatum. It opened earlier this year. I have eaten there about five times since it opened,and every time the food has been carefully and thoughtfully prepared. They high-quality ingredients, and the owner has assured me that they use authentic family recipes. I do not believe that they modify their family recipes to suit non-Thai tastes, thus the "pure Thai kitchen" name, which is a very good thing. And the result is some of the best, if not the best Thai food I've had in a long time. On top of that they use the best ingredients that they can find. Particularly they don't skimp on the quality of their meats.. Many restaurants serving "guisados", that is a protein stewed or cooked with vegetables, sauces, and/or starches, use tge cheapest-quality meat possible. But not Pure Thai. I have been pleasantly surprised by the high quality of the beef, shrimp and pork in the dishes that have tried. In particular the beef has been outstanding. And it makes a real difference, as it makes their food excellent. On top of all thus, everybody is very nice, attentive and very pleasant. I have enjoyed every single meal I've eaten there.
