    24. Kung Pao with extra veggies
    Emily S.

Came in around 7pm on a Sunday. More than half the tables were open. We were seated right away and the table had rice on it. I requested to sit somewhere quieter and that table was sticky. Took a while to order, staff was busy busing tables but the food came out fairly quickly. We ordered the kung pao with extra veggies (not Thai, I know!!). It was very average. The chicken tasted microwaved :( the veggies were crisp and plentiful! The sauce was a little watery and there weren't any Szechuan peppercorns or more authentic ingredients. The bathrooms were pretty dirty and the soap and toilet paper were out. Came here out of convenience as I was in the area and found myself hungry; however, I probably wouldn't come back :(

Had some time to kill and wanted quick lunch so I came by here. Lunch menu price looked reasonable and there were some people eating so I said why not. I ordered the chicken panang lunch special with salad. I was briefly worried when I told the waitress I wanted thai hot and she stopped, looked at me and asked me again if I wanted thai hot.. I said yes, snd I thought to myself oooh it's going to kick my booty.. Well, salad was ok with the ginger soy flavor dressing. My panang came out pretty quick. I usually don't order chicken for lunch special because I don't like the taste and or texture. Well. I was right. The curry was little on the too much sweet side and had little kick. Chicken was little bit on the tough over cooked side for my liking . Over all was not bad. I ate half way through and expected the heat to creep up on me, but didn't. This place thai hot was like maybe medium level. Over all not too bad of a place for decent priced quick lunch but I probably won't be coming back.

Stopped here on my lunch break, the food has blown me away!!!!! The flavors are bold and delicious, the portion sizes are huge and the vibe is super chill. I keep getting distracted eating while eating because it's that good. The staff are kind and were very understanding of the initial mix up we had when we arrived. Thank you for the yummy food Thai House!

Service was good, kind and prompt. They didn't really anticipate my needs and offer items such as to go boxes but were responsive when I asked. Well priced lunch specials. I went with the 1/2 charbroiled chicken but honestly disappointed. There was no char. It seemed dry and had a bit of a glaze I didn't expect. A lot of bones in the pieces I started with. Saved most of it to take home so I could dress it up with more flavors. Well-portioned though. The egg drop soup was great. The side salad was great. I also tried the fresh rolls. They were very good. The sauce was a bit too sweet and I couldn't really taste the peanuts with the sauce but not bad. The place seems to get popular at nuts so assuming order items are popular. I saw a lot of folks ordering noodles.

I was driving somewhere else to eat a salad, when I saw this place. Some Tom Kha Soup sounded good! (Never-mind the fact I ate some at a different Thai restaurant yesterday. ) I still wanted it. A small portion. I am trying to be mindful of my food portions these days. I ordered their Tom Kha soup with chicken and a side of white rice. The portion was perfect for me. Restaurant is clean and busy. Service is prompt and friendly. Country music is playing in the background. My soup was spice level 2 and perfect for me. Goldilocks would say it's just right. I peeked at other people's food and the dishes I saw all looked good!

The service here was excellent and I really enjoyed the quality of the food! Will be coming back again

Their panang curry is one of the best things I've ever put in my mouth. It's even better reheated as leftovers. Highly recommend

Absolutely by far the best Thai restaurant I've ever had in town. Recommend this Thai restaurant if you're from out of state or out of town.

Wonton soup is a joke. $14 for 3 wontons and a ton of cabbage. Not even very good wontons either. Don't waste your money.

Our drinks were refilled at just the right time, and each dish arrived perfectly paced. We never felt rushed, yet there was no unnecessary waiting. The portions were generous, and the spice levels were well balanced to our taste. We especially recommend the Tom Kha Gai--particularly the seafood medley version. Overall, we had a very enjoyable dining experience.

She's from Korea and lived many years in Los Angeles. Currently, she lives here in Phoenix. With our backgrounds, we know Authentic Thai Food. One bite, I was disappointed. The second bite, confirmed the taste was NOT authentic. Many complex ingredients were missing! Where was the tamarind subtle flavor? Where was the Kaffir Lime Leaves? Where was the fish sauce? Where was the thick gravy sauce? No use of cornstarch.... If you want Authentic Thai Food, please do not go to this restaurant. However, if you are a person who likes plain food, with no depth of Thai flavors, this is your place. My friend and I just played with our food after the second bite. Even the Thai Iced Tea tasted like a premixed drink that came from a carton. It was like a Chai Tea watered down by water and ice. I took the food home, hoping that I would be able to doctor it up. Nope! I didn't even bother to put it in the refrigerator and immediately place it in the trash. Very disappointed. As for the service, it was very questionable because no one even SAW that we went eating. Finally, after 15 minutes or so, I say our food was okay. I lied!! And asked for the check, like we wanted to escape an establishment that was based on a sham. The decor was nice and the location was quiet for an afternoon weekend. That should have been our clue to avoid the place. You can definitely get plain Americanized Thai food from this place.

The space itself is small, but the interior is surprisingly aesthetic and cozy, which makes it feel intentional rather than cramped. I usually gravitate toward the green curry, which hits that perfect balance of creamy, aromatic, and spicy without overpowering everything else on the plate. The flavors are bold but still refined, and nothing tastes muddy. The tom yum is another standout for me. It's bright, tangy, and comforting all at once, with layers of flavor that really pop. Even the side dishes shine. I'm a big fan of the chicken wings and skewers. They're seasoned well, cooked perfectly, and never feel like an afterthought. What really elevates the experience is how balanced yet distinctive everything tastes. Each dish stands out on its own, but the overall flavor profile feels cohesive. Service is always attentive, and the staff is consistently smiling and welcoming, which makes the wait feel easier. I also love that it's BYOB. It makes it super easy to enjoy a relaxed night, especially when I'm just snacking on appetizers with my own drinks. Sala Thai is a gem.
