I got my mani pedi done here few days ago. 1)I had requested short nail for both mani and d pedi . The mani lady suggested something and before I could understand what she is trying to say started to attach the false nails . When I told her I don't want that she made a face and then in her language mentioned something to her partner. 2)The manicure and the pedicure was not even okay. The manicure lady did not massage the hands The pedicure lady showed me the watch and showed she is doing massage but that really was not massage . 3)the color is chipping though they applied Gel 4) and for all these things they charged me $125 by adding things that could very well be part of the "Spa Mani Pedi ) Please make sure how much money they will charge before u start the service . Walked in for a pedicure & an eyebrow and underarm wax. I was told the pedicure would be $20, eyebrows $10, and underarm $15. I probably would have chosen one of the upgraded pedicure options if I was given a choice, but I wasn't. The $20 pedicure comes with a 1.5 minute massage, which was very underwhelming. My nails did turn out nice. Both my eyebrow & underarm wax left a ton of hair left over, particular the underarm. I got home and had to tweeze a ton of hair left behind (see pic). When finished, she told me the underarm would now be $20. I was told $15 initially so when I asked why, she said that underarm is "$15 + ". I was still confused why I was charged extra as I wax every 2 weeks and have sparse hair the length of a grain of rice. Would $15 be only for someone with 5 hairs to wax off? After asking why, she said "ok $15." I didn't appreciate the arbitrary pricing or trying to see if I would pay the extra money "just because". read more

I went into Purely Polish Nails this morning with no idea what I wanted done, other than a mauve color. Tiffany did my nails, and she is truly something special! She is simply a sweet person. She thanked me for waiting, asked my name, told me about her kids, etc. I genuinely enjoyed chatting and spending my time with her. They did not have the original color I picked, so Tiffany helped me find one to match it. She checked with me to make sure that I liked the shape of my nails and ask if I was okay paying additional for a cuticle service (which was only $5). After she put on the first layer of color, she asked if I wanted any design, in which I asked what she thought, and she suggested sparkle to make an ombré-like effect. Her creativity left me in awe as I watched her put a pinch of sparkle on the end of each nail. As you can see in the photo, my nails came out FLAWLESS. I left today feeling very happy! I am looking forward to getting my nails done at Purely Polish Nails again. :) read more

I will be going back! The man who answered the phone was unbelievably rude. He told me multiple times how I needed to be on time. I don't mind a nudge to be on time but multiple times is not necessary. When I arrived, there was no one in the room other than the employees. My techs were friendly, but didn't really interact with me, mostly just chit chat between the two of them ...no big deal. I cashed out, I gave the tip to the tech doing my hands. Five stars goes to Ken and his technique. He does do a great job and he can copy any designs you show him. His dipping techniques are clean(doesn't put your entire finger in the jar but sprinkles on the dip) which I find more hygienic. Heres where this nail salon loses stars...pricing. I feel like Im being nickeled and dimed here. And prices are not transparent. Yes its listed on the menu but they somehow add in fees at the end. Example: $5 to take off dip (if you get new set) $15 to take off dip (if you don't get new set) $7 for french $5/ per 2 fingers for design At the end of the service, its always a different charge. They use to be super busy but not so much these days. I don't know if its the service or pricing but I do hope they can make some better management changes. Ken is very good as a nail artist but their level if service and pricing can be more transparent. As a newer client who was referred here, I would visit with caution. Get some clarity beforehand. read more

Let me start by saying that I am extremely picky when it comes to my nails--so picky that I make the trip from LA to OC just to see KEN and the rest of this amazing crew! I've been coming here for almost a year now and everytime, I leave in awe! Whatever design I find on IG/Tiktok, he is able to match--he's honestly just SO talented and experienced at what he does. Moreover, my nails last for WEEKS. Y'ALL, this last set I got lasted almost 2 months and I STILL got compliments towards the end of the 2 months! The prices are unbeatable for the quality. Parking is super easy (huge lot) and they're always on time/efficient. I decided to try this place based on the reviews and because a friend recommended it. I was disappointed. Not only do they not have a big selection of gel colors but my nails started peeling after a week. Paid so much for nothing. The color peeled off entirely on one of my fingers and some of my nails have also already chipped. And between me and the two ladies that were doing my nails we took a good like 10 minutes trying to find a shade of pink I wanted because their selection of gel colors is minimal.Wish my experience was as good as how everyone has talked about. read more

I came in for a gel French mani and regular pedicure. I had Ken do my nails and it came out gorgeous! I only ever had this done 2x and it was better than the first time I ever did it ( at a diff salon) Ken took my fingers at the end and matched it next to one another to make sure it was the same top length and that really caught my attention cause of a lot of nail techs wouldn't even check! First time coming here. I came with my boyfriend and he got a mani/pedi also. My lady did a decent job and I was a bit picky with my nails. I wanted matte and also a design. I ended up not liking the design at the end and asked her to remove it and just do the plain color. She did it and even didn't charge me for the design bc I changed my mind. I don't remember her name but she was an older lady. Very sweet. I got a mani/pedi with matte top coat. Matte top coat is only $3 so it was nice. Also, got the callus treatment. She did an excellent job with the pedi and did a great massage. Only thing that wasn't too great was that there was random white flakes that were on my nails and the way she fixed it was taking it out and painting over it but it wasn't even. I have dents in my nails where the flakes appeared out of nowhere. You see it in the picture. Also, towards my skin her matte top coat didn't reach and it isn't as clean. As for nail shape it's something I did on my own but she rounded it out a bit which made me a bit sad but I couldn't tell her to let me file my own nails. My boyfriend did the deluxe pedi and he enjoyed it. The lady who did his was older but younger than mine and wore glasses. She worked his legs but he was very relaxed. The lady who did his Mani rushed it and messed up his cuticles. She did not do a good job at all. She was a younger lady with bangs. Overall it was ok. I'm sure your experience depends on who you got but we had a mediocre experience. Although the lady who did mine did warn that she was not good with designs and didn't complain when I asked her to change it. read more

I came here to remove a acrylic set only since I was in the area. About 3 nails had fallen off and it was time for a break. This was my first time visiting this salon (I had gotten my set done elsewhere). My experience was lukewarm. I had made an appointment over the phone and when I arrived, everyone just looked at me, looked away, and it was a couple minutes before one person who worked there finally greeted me by saying, "can I help you with something?" It was awkward to say the least. Then he kinda threw his hand in the air and I didn't know what that meant, until a woman waved for me to come over. I explained that I just wanted my nails removed. She asked if I wanted a manicure, and I declined. She offered to do another full set of acrylics, again I said no thank you. I explained I just wanted my nails to take a break and be able to breathe. Here's where I went wrong: she asked me if I wanted my cuticles cut, and I said yes without asking how much she would charge me. In fact, I didn't know how much the nail removal would cost. I didn't see a pricing list posted anywhere, until I finally was leaving and noticed I had missed the digital signage near the front which is only viewable if you're standing right there in the doorway. There was no price listed for nail removal or for cuticle cut. I was astonished in the end when she charged me $33. I couldn't question it m, since these services were not listed anyway, and it was my fault I didn't ask upfront. I will say she was very kind through the entire interaction, I just didn't think it was worth $33 + tip. My nail bed on one finger hurt really bad and was bleeding. The next day I had the worst hang nails from the uneven cuticle cutting that caused me so much pain until they had grown out enough for me to get my own cuticle cutters and trim. The lady who did my nails was so nice but my nails look horrible. i asked for hearts and the hearts look so bad. the lady also cut my skin and i started bleeding so she added a liquid and put the top of the liquid holder onto my skin. i have no idea how many other peoples skin it has touched. not only were my nails bad but they had the audacity to charge me $62 for nails i could've gotten else where that would be way better. i'm really disappointed. if you have any ideas of how you'd want your nails please don't waste your time and come here.
