Here's what I liked... first, their choices of protein. They had some choices that you don't see at other places. For something different I ordered the octopus. Second, all the ingredients were super fresh. Third, I liked that they had three sizes. The small was perfect because that's all that I wanted to eat. Fourth, their prices. Found them fair and reasonable for the quantity and quality that you receive. Fifth, FREE miso soup. Had just a little bowl. It warmed me up on this cold December day. Nice touch and welcomed differentiator. Six, sauces... they had a good selection and they were thick not runny. And Seventh, loved the chopped sweet pickled jalapeños. We been coming here for a year now and it used to be our favorite but the last couple of months there has been a significant change. The fish and ingredients are still super fresh but there is no longer any consistency in ordering. We used to get a regular and be left feeling full, now we are having to order a large and getting the container barely half full. PurePoke is my new favorite poke shop in the DFW metroplex. COVID concerns*: All employees wear masks & gloves, hand sanitizer is provided, I grabbed take out so I didn't stick around long enough to see their sanitization procedures. Poke: I built my own regular sized bowl (half & half sushi rice, medium spice, spicy tuna, salmon, onion, avocado, green onion, corn, masago, sesame seeds, furikake, and crispy onion) and it came out to be $12.45 after tax - which is an extremely good price compared to other poke places I've had. The fish is extremely fresh & veggies are all clean and crisp. My only small complaint would be that the mixed greens portion was a bit small, and the rice seems to be just white rice rather than sushi rice with actual rice vinegar in it. The medium spice tastes great, but it didn't give me that kick I was expecting, I will definitely be grabbing their "spicy" dressing next time! Pure Poke has a new fan! I'm fairly particular about my poke bowls and pure poke knocked it out of the park. The staff went above and beyond to make sure patrons felt safe whether that be dining in or ordering takeout. Everyone had on masks, gloves, and all of the stations were constantly cleaned. I got a large bowl for $14, which consists of 3 proteins and whatever toppings. You can choose a scoop of each! Complimentary water, miso, and sauces are available at the condiment bar. The Dole whip is a pineapple soft serve that's flavorful and delectable. Lastly, they offer green tea and have a natural soda fountain, among several beverage options. Almost done with my meal as I happily swipe and type. There's an older Asian man cleaning extra restaurant surfaces, disinfecting the door handle and such. This was my first visit to PurePoke. I went here based on some other Yelp reviews. I wanted the option to have half brown rice and half salad in my bowl. This restaurant focuses on "build your own" Poke which I love. I had the spicy tuna but there are tons of protein options. I ordered a small and while it seemed like a small amount of food it really was very filling. The container was full of yummy deliciousness, which makes me think I might want to size up on my next trip. This is a great to go lunch place. read more

Our favorite poke place in the area! The food is so fresh- all of the toppings and the sauces seem fresher than most places. They have more sauces to try than most places, and the sauces are so good! I really wanted to love this place, but I just can't get over its flaws: price, failure to properly thaw frozen fish, & the staff. The photos look pretty & great, but the food isn't. First, it's overpriced. It's about $15 for a large poke bowl with toppings. Second, on two separate visits I've had issues with their ahi tuna being improperly thawed out. I ordered my bowl, sat down, bit into the tuna, & it felt like I was biting down on shaved ice. It wasn't frozen, but it definitely wasn't fully thawed out. Also, their fish tastes bland. Third, the staff handled my complaint poorly. I complained & let them know about the ahi tuna. They proceeded to hand me an extra cup of ahi tuna to "fix" the issue. I looked at them really confused that they were giving me the exact same improperly thawed tuna from the container they had just served me with... Additionally, it got worse when I sat down to pick through the rest of my bowl & watched other customers come in & order ahi tuna & the staff continued to serve people with the same unthawed fish after I had just informed them of the issue!! Overall, I don't recommend this poke place & there are better options in the area. read more

Ordered thru Grubhub. Wish I would've read full reviews prior to ordering. Ordered a bowl w 2 protein spicy tuna and shrimp. Spicy tuna was about the size of 2 tbs. Shrimp tasted "bad" and was cut to appear like the portion size was larger. $18 for lettuce and rice. RIP OFF! read more

Incredibly SMALL portions. I ordered a large bowl and if you took off the seaweed salad on top, the bowl was only about half full. I got a mix of salmon and ahi. Ordered takeout and it did not disappoint ! Made my own bowl. The fish was fresh . It was filling . I really have nothing bad to say . I also tried their coconut slushy which does travel very well ! I just threw it in the freezer when I got home and it was perfect . I also tried their macarons. I ordered the dark chocolate ganache and fruit loops but they decided to send me 2 fruit loops instead - which I'm not too upset about it . More importantly I'm diabetic and only eat a limited amount of rice so I request half brown rice and half kale spring mix. I got a bowl full of rice and no spring mix. Also utensils. I know this may seem trivial but it happens EVERY TIME I order from here where they don't include ANY utensils of any kind and I always have to ask for them directly, which is irritating when they have a line of ppl and I have to stand there and wait instead of just being able to grab my bagged order and go. I cannot express how great the food is, the customer service, and the quality! John and his team go out of their way to ensure that they provide the best experience every single time! PurePoke is my new favorite! They offer 3 sizes of poke bowls and the large is really large. They don't overstuff you with rice and portion sizes are great. Prices are pretty standard: $8.50 for a small, $11 for medium and $14 for large but you really do get a good amount of food. They also do not charge extra for a scoop of avocado. WIN. If you're not really feeling poke bowls they do have some basic rolls, a tuna tower and a "sushi donut". Miso soup is complimentary. Customer service is also really outstanding and friendly. I decided to build my own large poke bowl with half spring mix and half sushi rice. You go down the line "Chipotle-style" and build your bowl as you go. At first I was like "yowza" because they gave me a lot of rice but when I chose my three proteins: salmon, spicy salmon and spicy tuna...they gave me a lot of proteins as well. My bowl was practically overflowing but hey, I ain't complainin'. They do not skimp here, it's a really good ratio of rice/spring mix and proteins. The quality of the tuna and salmon are great and they taste fresh. They have a good number of fresh toppings and garnishes which are unlimited. Like I said before, avocado is free BUT you only get one scoop which is all you really need. After you pay for your bowl you can make your way over to the drinks/sauce/miso soup station and add whatever sauces you want and however much you want. I really prefer this self-serving sauce station. Poke is really simple but my bowl was delicious. At the end of our meal the staff offered us complimentary macarons as well. My kiddos favorite place for Poke and the Miso soup is fabulous. I knocked off one star because if you go inside to order it is actually kinda painful - the workers have a difficult time understanding English (I'm sure the mask doesn't help) but if you place the order online in advance, no issues at all. Good place for a decent poke bowl. However, the service is slow. I ordered ahead for pick up, expected my order to be ready at the time it stated and when I arrived, it was not. There were lots of people inside making their dine in orders and they're to go orders, there were about 3 people out front working as fast as they can. I can tell that they were trying their best to keep up. I still had to wait about 15mins for my call ahead. Bless their hearts. I got my bowls and the order was correct and it tasted as good as usual, and they were moving as fast as they could. Hopefully they'll be able to hire more help Bc once people goes back to work they're going to need it. I will definitely be back but I'll be sure to time it right next time. read more

FRESH! is the first thing that comes to my mind as I write this review. This is my all time favorite spot in all of Frisco/DFW, you feel like family walking in. Workers always remember my boyfriend & I, and they treat their regulars well with small gestures (like a note or a piece of candy here and there). I come here at least 1x a week, and if I could afford it I'd be here a lot more often. This place serves amazing high quality ingredients that beat out all of the competition in the area, especially for the price. If you are looking for fresh fish, crisp veggies, beautiful sauces and marinades to create an absolute flavor bomb for a great value then you have found that spot. I highly recommend their Ahi Tuna, Spicy tuna, and Scottish Salmon for your meat, along with the spicy mayo and eel sauce. I usually get the Regular/Medium Size or a Large if I am starving, but you always get a huge portion of rice, meat, and veggies no matter the size you order. FREE AVOCADO AND CRAB! MY NEW FAVORITE LUNCH SPOT! I'm a beginner to poke and sushi. This place totally has me hooked. First, I love the concept, it's like the "subway" of poke bowls. You go through the line and pick out your toppings, then they assemble it for you. My virgin bowl was ahi tuna, a mix of brown rice and spring mix, mild sauce (I'm a wuss, don't judge me), cucumbers, avocado, carrots, edamame, onions, green onions, crunchy onions, and sesame seeds. It was pure, yummy deliciousness. They have macarons (I'm going to try one the next time I'm in) and FREE miso soup! They also have the usual sushi sides, like spicy mayo, wasabi, and ginger. The mild sauce was pretty mild and I can take a little heat, so next time I'll try medium. I also got a "side" of california rolls for my evening snack tonight. It was super busy while I was in, but they were friendly, very efficient, and the restaurant was SUPER CLEAN. The fish was fresh and everything was presented very nicely.
