I actually tried to go to another smog place closer to my house but got turned away as they weren't accepting walk-ins and the next available time was in two days which didn't work with my schedule. I'm glad that happened so I was able to come here instead! Getting a smog check plus an oil change (with Yelp check-in discount) the price was still waaaay cheaper than the first place I looked at. The lowest priced place I've been to... ever. Note that for the special they use synthetic oil, but I'm not picky on my oil and use synthetic oil regularly since I got high mileage so it worked out. I came on a weekday morning around 9:30 am with no apointment and got helped right away by Amin. Since it's adjacent to the mall it's convenient, you drop off your car and do some shopping and they'll give you a call on you cell when your car is ready. The estimated time of an hour was accurate and I appreciate that they do a through look through of your car for other issues. My car is older so they did find some other problems and gave an estimate. I'm wasn't ready to have work done that day but I will keep them in mind as they offer a one year or 12,000 mile warranty and also will price match any other place's offer. They didn't pressure me on making a decision and or sell me on services. Satisfied with the price and customer service provided. Amin was courteous and prompt with acknowledging my needs while Ali was very friendly, helpful and informative about services. My car was due for an oil change and needed to go somewhere to change it and I happened to stumble across this shop. Excellent customer service and the lobby waiting area was cozy and entertaining. The front desk told me how long the job would take and how much it was without beating around the bush. The job was done rather quickly and I was on my way. However, what really impressed me was not only did they change my car oil, but they also filled my windshield washer fluid and inflated ALL 4 TIRES with no charge and I did not instruct them to do so either. Very rare that mechanic shops will go the length for their customers, so I am again very happy and impressed with the overall experience. This place is great they've been doing work on my cars for about 6 years now not once have i been disappointed. The owner has changed but service is still great and the new owners cool as hell which was also the case with the last owner. I don't care that this place is out of my way i come here because i can trust them with my vehicle. One purrfect example was the time the excalibur claimed they didn't break my door handle and i had to pay out of pocket to fix it, mercedez said 1,075 dollars i called john and asked how much they would charge me, he said lets just order the parts come in on Saturday well get it fixed 350 dollars parts and labor they did a great job. I came in last week for my window regulator. I called quite a few places; 5 to be exact. I came in by chance on my way to work to receive a quote. Service was fast and friendly. I was updated and called before any work was done, and I was quoted near $100 dollars less than most mechanics. My "trusted" mechanic from home wanted to charge more for the same service. Perfect customer service, perfect work, perfect price. I can't say enough good stuff about this place. I drive a 2013 BMW currently at 94k. I bought it in to perfect auto for maintenance, not only did they go above and beyond, they were very informative and helpful along the way. John, who was overseeing my maintenance, notified me that they noticed my vacuum pump was installed wrong by the previous mechanic and was causing damage (I already noticed it beforehand, but didn't tell them anything). I was having work done to my engine already, and John only charged me for the part, didn't even charge me for labor, which is just a valiant display of the honesty and integrity of this place. German cars like mine that's getting high in mileage and age needs proper maintenance. They are just as sturdy and reliable as Japanese brands like Toyota and Honda, the big thing is that YOU NEED TO BE ON TOP OF YOUR MAINTENANCE. Granted that it isn't as cheap to maintain as your Toyota and Honda, but my statement still stands. It's the labor required on these cars that'll start draining your bank account and Perfect Auto definitely make the labor part ALOT easier on your bank account. Not to mention, if you bring your car in for a big maintenance like me, they give you a bunch of free complimentary services like, tire rotation, free 20 point inspection, inspect and adjust brake pads, rotors and calipers. I have been coming to Purrfect as long as I can remember. I've had to go in for a ton of stuff over the years since I drive a bit of an older car so I've gone through most everything from replacing my clutch to oil changes, to getting new brake pads, etc. Even though I've moved about 45 minutes away, I continue to make the trek because I KNOW I can trust Sergio regarding what needs to be done and what doesn't need to be done. I've gotten quotes from other places that told me a handful of things were wrong and he was the first person to tell me that they were wrong and probably just trying to get money out of me. From that point on, my loyalty has been with him. The whole staff has never been anything but kind and polite, the waiting room has been totally re-done, it's beautiful, clean, and if you're a snacker, they've got coffee, soda, and snacks on hand at all times. DAY -- PURRFECT AUTO SERVICE - ARCADIA, CA 10:45 am I drive up, see only 2 cars in the repair bays. Not too busy this morning, says I, should be quick enough to go in and out with a simple oil change. 10:46 am walk in towards front desk, I see Alex, and he greets me "How can I help you?" "I'd like an old change, a standard one, please." I reply. He asks for my car model, looks into his terminal for what seems like 5 seconds, and replies "You're car should use synthetic." So, I've heard the car can use synthetic, but never SHOULD it need it. "I've been here before, it takes 5W20 bro." and he says "pop the hood." 10:47 am We go to my car, pop the hood, he points to the oil cap, and walks away. We go back inside, he says "hey, I don't mean to sound like I'm upselling. Some of the generations do require synthetic, just saying." I don't know if such is true, but nor can I say he's wrong and I know it, so I shrug it off. As i'm about to give him the coupon to save a bit, he places the document in front of me, with the standard price. I say to him "I'd like to include the coupon that's from your store's website." I show him the coupon, and his says "that's only saving $2" K, current bill says $20 and some change, and this coupon is going for $11.99. Do the math, apparently Alex didn't. I tell him "ok, well can we have it changed?" And he says "what's 2 bucks?" K, perhaps I was a little bit edgy, but I didn't have my coffee yet. So I reply, "A cup of coffee, and we'll call it even." I suppose Alex didn't appreciate that. "Ya know what, you can take your business elsewhere." At least he gave his name. I see other yelp reviews mentioning how good Mr. Huerta is. Perhaps you had a bad morning? Main takeaway from this is lack of customer service, and boy did Alex pay this in spades. Not exactly justifiable, he's fortunate that one lady, who I think is either asst. manager or manager, wasn't next to you while this all went down. So Management, if you're seeing this, please remedy. Get some coffee, Alex, its only $2. read more

I was in desperate need of new brakes and have been putting it off for the past few months. Clearly, not the safest thing to do, but the thought of dealing with an auto shop and all the headaches that come with them plus my lack of car knowledge, made it at the bottom of my priority list. I happened to be in the area meeting a friend at the mall when my brakes really gave out and I needed to find someplace that would fix them quick. Purrfect Auto Service has some pretty bad reviews, but I was desperate and hesitantly gave them a shot. Boy, did they deliver! Firstly, as mentioned before, I don't like auto shops as I always feel like I'm getting ripped off. These guys definitely changed my mentality. They were so informative, professional and honest. Turns out they have a new owner. I never write Yelp reviews, but these guys were so great that it made me want to help get there name back up there. I'm don't live in the area, but I would consider planning a day in Arcadia just for a car appointment at this shop.
