My usual mechanic was very busy so I thought of David. I left the car with him and he told me that it would take about 1 1/2 hours. After an hour he called me and said that everything on the car was fine and that whatever my mechanic is doing, he's doing right. One of his mechanic's Chris who was also very nice, told me that the car is in great shape. I asked David how much the check-up on he car was and he said not to worry about it, "No charge!" I couldn't believe it! In this day and age you just don't encounter this kind of thing often. One thing I know for sure, from now on David and his crew will be getting more of my business! Daniel took the time to thoroughly inspect the vehicle and clearly explained what they found -- loose rear suspension hardware and a missing trailing arm nut that could have turned into a serious safety issue. What I appreciated most was Daniel's professionalism. He walked me through everything step by step, showed me exactly what was going on, and answered all my questions in detail. He was calm, knowledgeable, and transparent. He also stayed completely professional and never made negative comments about the original installer -- he simply focused on fixing the issue and making sure my vehicle was safe. They properly re-torqued and secured all the suspension components and performed a full alignment to ensure everything was dialed in. The truck now drives perfectly -- stable, smooth, no more clunking or sway. On top of that, their pricing was very fair and reasonable, especially considering the safety issue they corrected. It's hard to find a shop that combines honesty, skill, and fair pricing like this. Steve and his team got me scheduled quickly, took it for a real test drive, and actually listened to what I was describing instead of brushing it off. They found some toe-out in the front alignment and redid the zero-point EPS calibration -- no charge, since they'd done the initial alignment. That kind of follow-through says a lot. What stood out most is Steve himself -- down to earth, genuinely knowledgeable (especially on shocks/suspension), and not once did I feel like I was being upsold. He cared about actually solving the problem, not just closing the ticket. You can tell he's into these vehicles and wants to be a real resource for the local off-road/overland community, not just another shop. This is going to be my go-to shop from here on out. Highly recommend RPM Garage if you're in the SGV/SoCal area and want a shop that treats your vehicle -- and your time -- with respect.

I recently took my car for just a regular oil change to Purrfect. They have been advertising by sending coupons in mail for an oil change for just 10 or so dollars. But thats where the catch is, or a sthey say when it sounds too good to be true probably it is too good to be true because no one else does it for less than $20. Thats how Purrfect auto lure you into their trap. Anway, just a few weeks before that I had gotten my car checked by a well known auto store and they said everything is fine. They took my car and even before the oil change this employee com to me and says that you need to change your transmission fluid. I said well I had it done it less than a year ago and its OK for almost 30, 000 miles. Feeling that I'm not falling into his trap, he took me to my car and show me that my brake line is leaking. I was surprised because if my brake line was leaking from before I would have been dead by than plus I never spotted any oil leak from my car on my garage floor. I smelled ssomething fishy but because I was afraid for my life with a leaking brake line I agreed to fix it for another $60. Then he tells me well my rear brake pads are also almost worn off and if I dont get them them fixed within the next few days its going to severly damage my car and also cause an accident. Knowing that I was not free for another 2 weeks becuase of my job to take my car to another mechanic I agreed to have my rear brake pads chnage for another $200. I had changed my all 4 brake pads or whatever you call em an year ago and I drive my car less than 8, 000 miles a year. I knew I was getting ripped off because I know quite a bit about cars myself but couldn't help it as it was a matter of brakes you know. At the end of the day I spent more than $260, when I was only planning to change my oil for $10. Later I took my car to another mechanic who said my front brake pads were not even 75% worn off yet. (As I said I had changed them less than a year ago, all 4, so if front ones were only 75% worn off, which are used more, how come the rear ones wore off so fast). Plus, the rate for two wheels brake pad change is less than 100 dollars at most mechanic shops, while purrfect charged me $200. To all you innocnet and unsuspecting people, PURRFECT auto store is a rip off. read more

I came here for a tire rotation and an oil change. I called half an hour beforehand to make sure they were not busy. I arrived at 10am when the mall is just opening so I wouldn't have to wait. I came back at 1pm and the owner Harry said my car was ready but needs major service. He told me that my brakes were worn out and that he had a special price for $200. You would think he would stop there but that wasn't even enough for him! He also told me that my fluids were low and that he could give me the better quality ones for $50? And to top that off he told he was only going to charge me $100 for service which didn't make any sense to me. I politely said I will think about it however he got upset and kept on repeating his words. He tried to persuade me that if he only provided oil changes that he would run out of business. THAT IS RUDE! How can you make the customer feel like they should be obligated to pay for your expensive unneeded services? So in the end I said I needed to go after 15 minutes of nonstop talking from him. He just couldn't stop trying to push all kinds of unneeded services. If I was you, I wouldn't trust this guy! Take it to another auto shop before you accept his advice. Because under the law, he can charge you any amount for any service as long as you agree to it. TOTALLY BOGUS! Long story, short...This place is overrated and overpriced. AVOID at all costs! read more

I hate to say this, but this garbage dump deserves less than 1-star. They will do the bare minimum, sub-par work and use the cheapest, lowest quality parts. They put in used parts and scammed me. I found out that they are being investigated and have ve been flagged by the California State Bureau of Automotive Repair. They are also non-certified and also being investigated for threats by John, under the supervision of Stephany Zeng, who is also posting all the fake, positive reviews. The Westfield Santa Anita Mall in Arcadia is also investigating Stephany Zeng and Purrfect Auto Service. There have been reports of their mechanics stealing cash and valuables from customer cars. Read the other awful Yelp reviews and Google reviews. Do not trust them with your car. read more

I feel so lucky that after Several phone calls.i decided to come to Purrfect auto service shop . John , who answered the call was very personal and Professional. And there was no waiting he said . Sure enough I got here and they took my car in immediately . The price wasn't the cheapest but consider the 36 points change , my engine light check and tire rotation. And they use Mobil 1 synthetic oil. Hey , you can't beat the service and price afterall. I am very happy with the service and will definitely recommend them and come back again . They also provide repairs for car and body work and window tanning. I came here for their $11.99 oil and filter change. I knew I needed front brakes from my last oil change done at a Econo Lube. The Econo Lube quoted me $350 for the front rotors and pads and rear brake shoes. The manager was very polite and friendly, he took me to the car and showed me my brakes and rotors. It was almost metal to metal. He only charged me $300 out the door for everything, including the oil change. The only reason for 4 star was because of the wait for the parts. I guess their part supplier sent the wrong part and they had redeliver the parts again but it wasn't really their fault. I will go there again as its just a few minutes from my house. read more

This is an awesome place where I was exactly looking for!! Guys, come and visit this place. The price is reasonable and Kelly, the owner is the most kind and generous man. Purrfect Auto deal with everything, including tires, oil change, smog check, etc. One more blessing added to this shop is Family friendly. You drop your car and then you can shop with your husban and kids because Westfield, the biggest shopping mall in Arcadia is right next to it. I have a 2001 Infiniti I30 that was giving me difficulties with random misfires... if anybody knows what's that like then you know the headache I was having. I work out in Pasadena and called a couple places and stumbled upon Purrfect. I must say, I am IMPRESSED with the customer service, time in which the job took, and the environment of the shop waiting room. Did I mention this was my first time here?! Harry is a total FRAUD and will always try to rip off his customers by putting fake 5 star reviews on so many different sites like Yellow Pages, City Search and etc! It is outrageous how the 5 star comments are all posted within days of each other. You also notice similar usernames used such as jenbets then jen.bets!! A period doesn't distinguish anything but just makes you a FRAUD. STOP SCAMMING EVERYONE HARRY. By creating fake accounts will not make you any money. Lying to your customers how they need a new timing belts, new brakes or even a fluid flush will ultimately cost you your entire business. read more

I have an appointment with Land Rover Dealership, the earliest time for me is two month later. But I don't think I can drive my car like this any longer concerning about the safety for my kids. (Obvious something wrong, I can feel it's kinda shaky and waddling) One of my son's parent recommends this Purrfect Auto, so I decided to give it a try. Don't trust this place!!!!!!!! They lure in with the mailer coupons 19.99 for smog and other deals that seem to be to good to be true. They always come up with lies that your didn't pass the test because they disconnect a vacuum hose so it FAILS then they rope you in for extra charges. If you have a coupon they will always come up with a reason why it will be a lot more expensive than the coupon price. Take your car to a place that charges normal prices because if it seems to good to be true than it is a CON JOB these guys are Certified Con MEN!!! read more

I have been here 3 times. For my wifes car problems. Awesome work and very nice people.. I was actually taken to the car each time i went there and the mechanic would show me all that was wrong and explain to me in plain english what the problem is and what the solution to fix it. After picking up my car I was given my old parts in a box and they showed me the new parts on the car. Now that is a place with honesty. Absolutely great place. Have gone in multiple times without an appointment and was always taken care of. They have low prices but always do an excellent job. The mechanics are very personable and remembered me from the last time I went in. Once I even got a free oil change when I went in to get my brakes checked. This is my regular place for my oil changes, I have been to the guys at Purrfect auto over 5 times to have my car serviced and every time I get treated with the highest quality of customer service. One day after parking at the mall I hear air coming out of my tire. Realizing I had a flat I quickly drove to the auto repair shop I remembered was here at the mall. They were very busy and it was late in the day. They said they did not have any plugs to repair my tire but they were gracious enough to add more air into my tires and gave me directions to a near by tire store that they knew we open. Can you spell RIPOFF? Avoid this place like the plague, folks. I brought my car in for one thing (water pump), and they tried to sell me on five other things that did not need fixing (including new brakes, and my brakes were only three months old! HA!) Excellent place. I am in college and drive a 8 year old car. Dealer wanted $1300 for front and rear brake pads and rotors. George the manager did the same work for me for half what the BMW dealer wanted and used original BMW parts he ordered from the dealer. They took my car, and in less than 5 minutes the tech came back and explained that my car's computer had been reset and the readiness monitors weren't complete. I had recently changed the battery, so that made sense. He told me I just needed to drive it another 50+ miles. What I didn't expect was the $40 charge for that check. At my usual place, if the car doesn't pass, the fee covers retesting within 30 days. I assumed most smog shops worked similarly, but that was my assumption. Here, the $40 was just for running it through the machine, and when I come back it will be full price for the actual smog test. What confused me was that the manager later mentioned that if I had told them about the battery, they could've checked the readiness monitors in about a minute with a different device. That part would've been helpful to know upfront. It seems like offering that quick pre-check automatically could save customers time and money, especially since battery replacements are common. I paid the $40. That's on me for not asking more questions beforehand. But for anyone going in for a smog check, especially if you recently disconnected your battery, I'd recommend asking them to check your readiness monitors first before running the full test. They were fast and polite. I just think clearer communication about pricing and the quick pre-check option would make the experience much better for both the customer and the business. I understand every business runs differently, but this pricing structure just doesn't work for me long term, so I'll be returning to the shop I normally use.
