I hate to write a negative review, but if this can help them to improve, I will post. I want Chicago Pizza in Stuart to survive and thrive but it has to be done right. We've tried this spot twice once two years ago and recently. Each time we chose to eat on the Tiki back porch. Environment is fine, silverware clean and service VERY attentive. Server was super kind and this is not a reflection on her. But honestly, I got food poisoning. The timing of when I ate and the fact I hadn't eaten all days leaves no other suspects. I had two Parmesan fries and found them saturated in a pool of oil. I could not tell if it was butter or olive oil but after one bite I was out. I was the only one that ordered gluten free crust and it was burnt and tasted like charred matza cracker. The sauce was so light I could barely taste it and the cheese was omnipresent and hardened. I was starving so I ate the whole thing but it wasn't good. My husband had the sausage sandwich and said it was thin and bland, no discernible spice. Now my son loved the regular sausage pizza and it looked and smelled good. It's possible husband and I simply chose poorly. But given full blown food poisoning with fever etc. I'm not willing to try again. We are from Chicago and call talk with love about deep dish, thin crust, Neapolitan style, wood fired. We're not out to take down a local business but it may be time to overhaul practices by cleaning out the fryer and investigating what may have caused a patron to become ill from the GF cheese pizza. Note son and husband had no health related food issues. read more

I totally love this pizza place. The sauce is remarkable. One of the best pizza places in town for sure!

I had been wanting to try this place for some time and was very disappointed it didn't go well. This was my first visit to Pusateri's. I am a year-round resident, but don't get downtown very often, so I thought I would finally try them. It was midweek, well after lunchtime, and only one, or two other customers in the place. I thought great; it won't take too long to get my order because the place is almost empty. Wrong! It took 40 minutes to get served! It took so long I almost walked out. THEN, the order was wrong in TWO ways. I got the larger size, instead of the smaller size I ordered. AND there was NO sauce. It was supposed to be a garlic cream sauce instead of the red sauce (I cannot eat.), but there was NO sauce. Why all the screw ups AND taking so long when they aren't even BUSY??? Of course, they only charged me for the smaller size I actually ordered. (Complementary would have been nice, but whatever.) However, I didn't even discover the NO-sauce-at-all, DRY crust under the toppings until I arrived back home. Aw man! No sauce! So I heated up a bowl of jarred alfredo sauce and dipped it. The crust, cheese, and toppings were ok, but I've had better in both Chicago and in Martin County. I doubt I will be back, although I would like to have tried the garlic cream sauce I paid for, but didn't get! Oh well. I'm only not giving it 1 star because the waitress was polite. read more

The good: Great sausage Enjoyed the Italian beef/sausage sandwich Cute place Reasonably priced The bad: Sausage pizza just ok at best. Crust was way too thick for a thin crust Chicago style pie. Also a bit sweeter than we like. The bathroom doors are so gross. You have to touch them to exit the bathroom. They have literally never been cleaned. Super gross. Makes you wonder how the kitchen is kept. We were a group of 6. All agreed it was OK but nothing worth coming back for. Which is a bummer because we have been meaning to try it for a year. read more

I am a one-time a year visitor to the Stuart, FL area. I have been coming for the last four years. Over that time, I'm slowly starting to find regular spots that I want to hit while I'm in the area. Pusateri's is on this list. First, let's start with the obvious. The pizza. It's THIN crust Chicago Pizza. I admit - I didn't know this was a thing. And, it's delicious. I've tried a couple different ones. First - the Chicago Fire. This is not something I normally would go for, but I was intrigued by the idea of Giardiniera on my pizza. And, boy - it was amazing. I couldn't stop eating it - even though it was a little spicy for me. I also tried my old standby - pepperoni and extra cheese. Also, so good. And, they slice the round pizzas in squares. Somehow, I think this makes me eat less. I like it. Now, let's get to the item I can't stop thinking about. So much so that I had it twice during my last trip to Stuart. The peanut butter cup dessert. It is to die for! The only thing I can compare it to flavor wise is the peanut butter ice cream topping at Friendly's (and the small ice cream shop I was a scooper at as a youth). That layered between a chocolate cookie crust and ganache. It's amazing. I also want to note that the customer service here is top notch. And, I've only ever gotten takeout and still sense it in my very brief interactions with them. The staff is all energetic, friendly, and helpful. And, by the looks of the crowds I've seen on each of my visits, I'm not the only one that feels this way. Check this place out. You won't be disappointed. read more

This place has great ambiance, I ordered a personal pizza and did not care for it at all but I probably ordered the wrong toppings. The sauce is sweeter than I thought so it threw me off a bit. My fiancé got the hotdog which he enjoyed very much as well as a sausage pizza with peppers that he seemed to like a lot. Awesome lunch specials for personal pizzas. Pizza was great! I chose my own ingredients, +pineapple which I was unfortunately missing (that is why 4 stars instead of 5). Lots of ingredients, very rich flavor, cheese was perfectly melted. I wish the pineapple was not forgotten, given they upcharge you for each item, but overall happy.. Also, ordered baked ziti with mushrooms and onions. They gave us toasted bread with butter. That meal was just ok. I think the toast has a butter substitute or smth similar to it, it tasted odd. The toast was inside the ziti meal, so the steam made the toast soggy, which is not ideal, but the pizza rich flavor made the order from this place worth it! read more

I love this place and it's pizza. It truly is the best in town... that's why I want to say this. You've changed a couple things that didn't need to be changed. You changed your ranch to Paul Newman... not near as tasty as your previous. The packets were annoying to use too. The pizza rack for the table was in the way. It's easier to take out of the pan while on the table. The fresh Parmesan was a nice touch but not necessary. It seems you're trying to be something you don't need to be. I plan to make this place my new regular pizza place. The crust is good, the cheese is melted perfectly, the Alfredo sauce is to die for and I'm sure the red sauce is delicious too. Was craving some delicious pizza and this place nailed it. I always judge pizza by the crust because if you have tasteless, chewy or rock hard crust it destroys the pizza toppings no matter how good they may be. This place had incredibly delicious crust!!!!! So so so good! We tried the Chicago Fire and they ain't kidding when they tell you it's spicy haha it sneaks up on you but it's a good spicy, it tastes delicious!!! In fact we ( 2 of us) ate the whole giant medium, just couldn't help ourselves. We also tried a cheesecake slice as if the entire pizza wasn't enough lol, the cheesecake was great solid cheesecake. !!!!!! I am a true Chicago native. Born and raised. I found this spot just browsing through Yelp earlier today. I decided to just give it a shot because why not?? So I ordered the medium half sausage, half cheese pizza & an Italian beef, super, super, super dipped, with cheese and mild giardeneria peppers (I know I spelled that wrong!) Let me just say.... I smiled SO HARD after each bite of the pizza and I literally jumped for joy after my first bite of the beef. It TRULY reminded me of home. ESpecially the beef. It had that mom and pop shop taste. Special homemade recipe. I will absolutely be back. Thank you for this! Whoever the owner is! We sat outside and honestly it was so dirty. I was picturing all the rats that probably go all over the tables and seats during the night looking for crumbs. We didn't care for the pizza. Great pizza. The pizzas are huge and weigh more than a normal pizza, so lots of ingredients. I like their signature sausage, but pepperoni is great too. Came here last night with the family. The food was good but our waitress ( older lady ) wasn't. She seemed annoyed, very rushed and not very welcoming.
