We ordered four Italian beef sandwiches and two hot dogs. I was SO excited. Cons: Maybe it was because we ordered multiple sandwiches or because they were "busy"? Or maybe it's just the norm now with everything being pricier, but the beef sandwiches felt extremely skimped on meat. They were not bountiful and stacked with meat. All five of us were unimpressed. Also, we got sides of peppers (two hot, two mild); it would've been nice if they labeled H or M to differentiate them. Pros: the quality of meat was excellent in both the Italian beef and hot dog. Confirmed the order and got an email saying order was placed and my card was charged. 90 min later got an email (not a phone call) saying my order was cancelled and my card would be refunded in 7 days. Could have at least called. I get staffing is hard now, but it's also hard finding reliable places to eat. Very disappointed in the customer service. Pusateri's used to be a favorite of mine. Thin cracker crust, good flavor, and super friendly waitresses. There was always a little bit too much cheese for my liking, but no problem, I just asked for light cheese. I used to go here weekly, when I was in Stuart each week. I was up north for a few months to escape the Florida summer, and just returned. My first time back, my light cheese pizza was smothered in cheese. When I asked what happened, they explained that the new girl making pizza doesn't speak english, and she likes to put extra cheese on the pizza. Last week I tried again, and the pizza had too much cheese. This time, I did ask for the pizza to be remade. You can guess what happened, all tomato sauce, almost no cheese.. I figured I would just suck it up, eat the crust and not come back. As it turns out the owner's son saw the pizza, was super nice, and didn't charge me. He invited me back. In my stupid mind, I tried again today, armed with a picture of a light cheese pizza. The waitress was super nice, told me no problem, we want to make the pizza exactly the way you want it. Only problem was the non english speaking girl didn't understand what she meant by showing her a picture of pizza. She explained that if you wait 5 minutes the owner will be back, and we can make your pizza the way you like it. When the owner came back and came to my table, he explained that they made me 2 pizza's last week and I wasn't happy. I explained 1 was smothered in cheese and 1 was all tomato sauce. He said they weren't going to make any pizza for me, if I didn't want it the way they make it. He was an older guy and a bit grumpy. It's his business and I guess that's his right. My right is to write this review. I guess if you want your pizza custom made go to someone a bit more customer focused. read more

I have never had Chicago pizza but I have heard it's thick pizza. Not a fan of thick pizza, more into New York style. We ordered the Hancock pizza without the mushrooms and the fried ravioli for an appetizer. The pizza was amazing but we weren't a fan of the fried ravioli. It didn't have much flavor to it. We also ordered a bottle of wine which was pretty good. It adds up cheaper to buy the bottle then order a couple of glasses. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. It's a very small location inside but we were told they had a court yard in the back. It's way to cold and wet to be sitting outside right now. Maybe when it starts warming back up. Super thin crust pizza If that's your thing,. I personally love the Detroit style pizza with the cheese crust sides however, since I live in Florida and can't get that, I also love the extremely thin crust. I've been wanting to try a new pizza spot and after seeing the good reviews and pictures on this site I figured I'd give it a try. So we ordered the combo appetizers with onion rings and mozzarella sticks. The onion rings were perfect, but the mozzarella sticks were too hard. Then we ordered a large pizza with meatball, pepperoni and mushroom which looked freakin amazing but I hate to say it didn't have much flavor and the crust did taste like a frozen pizza crust. Although the next day my husband and I reheated it and it did taste a lot better and the crust was nice and soft. Others seem to really like it but we wouldn't go back. read more

Love it! My buddy and I do little weekend pizza review tours. I came here by myself and I really liked the pie. I know my buddy is even more of a critic than me, so I tried it again to make sure and I couldn't doubt that I loved the pie. Were more nyc-nj-new Haven pizza guys, and they advertise Chicago thin crust. We're not Chicago deep crust guys at all, so we were a bit reluctant, but we had never tried Chicago thin either so we stayed open minded. I am so glad I told my buddy and we came by. Excellent pizza. We just absolutely could not doubt it or find flaws even when we really looked for them. The crust had no flop, not greasy, crispy with a nice amount of chew, cheese is delicious and there isn't too much or too little, sauce is nice and right in the middle meaning not too sweet and not too bland. We were seriously surprised. Chicago Thin Crust has earned our respect. The staff is great, the restaurant has excellent indoor and outdoor seating. The tiki patio in the back is awesome. It's right in downtown but not in the annoyingly busy part so you can still park easily. I don't know if I'm telling my girl to put on her little black dress and come here for date night, it's just not quite that kind of place, but it's great for a casual spot. Actually, my girl loves the sliced beef sandwiches here! We're going to come by tonight for a pie and I'm super excited for it. I actually went here twice today. Two very different experiences. This afternoon I went in for lunch to see if the Chicago dogs are REALLY Chicago dogs. Afternoon visit: 4.5 STARS. Everyone was extremely friendly. The French fries were not up to Gene's and Jude's standards at all. They almost looked... healthy. The hot dog bun was not properly steamed either. The hotdog itself, however, was excellent. It had that tell-tale snap when you bite it and the taste sent me back to River Road. Well done. And very reasonably priced. What really struck me was how incredibly nice the server and cooks were at the restaurant. They made one small mistake on my order and fixed it immediately. The service was fast, polite, and personable. I knew that my family wanted pizza for dinner, so I placed an order for pickup and was once again treated so kindly, I was deeply impressed. I got home and told my wife how nice everyone was and bragged about the experience. It should be noted that at NO time during the lunch - which was over an hour due to the wonderful atmosphere and friendly conversation with the guests - did I have on a mask. As you may or may not know, in Martin county only employees are required to wear masks. Customers are NOT. Though it is recommended. Evening visit: 1 Star for service. 3 stars for pizza. When I returned later this evening to pick up our pizza, I was immediately accosted at the door by the cashier who informed me that I must wear a mask. Before I had a second to respond, she told me to get outside and she would be "with me in a minute". Standing out in the rain, watching people inside seated and not wearing masks, she came out to ask my name. I gave it to her, and she left without another word. She returned to inform me my order was not yet ready. I waited in the rain, watching people talking and laughing inside not wearing masks presumably because they were seated at a table and thinking to myself: this makes no sense. If I stand up, I guess I need a mask (even though the law says I do not) but according to the cashier I did. But if I were to sit down in the same place, magically Covid would know I was obeying the unscientific and arbitrary rules and refuse to be transmitted. Interesting. I waited five or so more minutes, nicely dampened and feeling like an outcast because I was dumb enough to believe the news on tv and not bring a mask with me to pick up a pizza at a place i had been to a few hours earlier for an entire meal without one. I had also been to three other business running errands prior to lunch today and did not wear a mask nor was I accosted by a single employee at these places, regarding my "missing" mask. Needless to say, the whole experience was very disappointing as we moved from Illinois to get away from this baseless, unscientific, non-sense. The pizza: That being said, the sausage was very good on the pizza, but the sauce was too sweet. Not quite Chicago pizza. Lou Malnati has nothing to fear. I may have considered going back and trying a beef with the family, but which employees would I get? The nice, courteous ones? Or the Covid Nazi? Probably not worth the time to find out. To all the uninformed NY pizza aficionados (Jon Stewart, I am talking to you!), in Chicago "everyday" pizza is our version of thin crust, dense but thin crust, slightly crispy and topped with tangy cheese and garlicky tomato sauce. Pusateri's nails true Chicago thin crust. So much more flavorful than your typical NY/NJ joint. I tried the Italian Beef as well (another of my favorite Chicago dishes). Very flavorful and a huge portion. Tender thin sliced beef, dripping in garlic and oregano flavored gravy on an authentic Gonnella french roll. Staff was friendly and we chatted about our shared Chicago roots. The interior looks like any pizza place you would find in Chicago, lots of pictures of the city, team memorabilia, etc. read more

Pusateri's is an absolute gem...this might be the best pizza I have ever had in my entire life, and that's no lie. They serve Chicago thin crust style pizza...I think they have various pastas, subs, and even Chicago style hot dogs, but I know I'll never be able to comment on any of those things, because the pizza is what it's all about! The sauce is absolute perfection- slightly sweet, slightly tangy, perfectly seasoned. I also order my pizza with "extra sauce"; that's how much I love it. The cheese is tasty and plentiful, and the toppings are fresh and high quality. They cut their pizza into these perfect little rectangles that are small enough that you end up rationalizing that it's ok to eat about 8 of them. Some things you should know: -Closed Mondays and Tuesdays. -Not open for lunch on the weekends -Soft drinks come in cans. -The dining room is VERY small- if you intend on dining in, come early or expect to wait. As a Wisconsin native, I take my Chicago-style pizza seriously. Most FIBs claim they know pizza, but the people at Pusateri's actually get it right! Great thin crust, good cheese to topping ratio, etc., but it's the Chicago hot dogs that will have me coming back! Had one with the works last night and it was perfect. And the service from our waitress, Philly, was tremendous! She was extremely busy but made sure our every need was fulfilled. And the fact that Philly and my wife, a Jersey girl and lifelong Eagles fan (yes, football season is interesting in our house) hit it off will ensure we will be back again soon! my inlaws and wife are from chicago been there multiple times. this place is small in the inside but the pizza is great and there chicago beef is great as well. im in coral springs and this place is an hour away and definitely worth the trip. if your from the chi you will love this place. the decor is everything chicago they even have chicago dogs. you can also order the pizza to to cook at home. they pre cook it for you so that way you can freeze it and then make it at home. read more

Once again, I need to rate a restaurant 3.5 stars. I grew up in the New York City area and that defines my taste in pizza. The two times I had pizza in Chicago, it was deep dish. I obviously have no idea if this is good or bad Chicago thin crust pizza. All I know is what I like. I like thin crust, but not hard crust like this pizza had. The sausage was tastier than most, but there could have been more of it. My favorite chain pizza is Papa Ginos. This was better than Papa Ginos, but not enough better for me to go out of my way to return here. The staff was very pleasant ad efficient. There are less than 10 tables so a long wait is likely. Service was pretty poor, silly things like no refills on drinks no napkins etc. pizza was ok but really nothing you'd go back for. Tomato sauce tasted like it came right from a can. Crust was pretty good tho. The beef sandwich while tasty was 2 strips of meat on a GIANT roll. So not overwhelming there. The only reason I could suggest this place is the outdoor patio in the back.
