    Peach mint hookah

I've returned here after years. The hookah is the best here! I usually get a kebab plate but today I tried the Alfredo pasta and it's really good.

Hummus Shawarma (beef) and Greek Cheese Feta Plate (substitute: Cucumber)

Life poses some difficult, unanswered questions: Why is it called a "pair of pants"? How many licks DOES it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Roll Tootsie Pop? And of course: How is the food at Pyramido SO exceptionally delicious? Pyramido is another new establishment to add to the growing number of businesses in or near the North Hollywood Arts District. Unlike some of the other newbies whom have firmly ensconced themselves in douchebag culture; Pyramido is bringing fresh Greek and Mediterranean faire to the table in a classy yet comfortable environment. The spacious interior (no tables squished like sardines here), corner bar, and lovely outdoor patio area with a firepit and twinkling lights; will transport you to a Mediterranean isle without the hefty price tag. Arriving to a relatively empty restaurant, red flags may go off in your head. But fear not, this isn't an indication of poor service. Pyramido is just a new business which needs to catch-on (and with its amazing food, it should have no problem). My boyfriend and I arrived during Happy Hour (3-7pm) in order to try some half-price appetizers and beer/wine. Almost seduced by the bar (although very small and almost naked in the corner) and its offerings of fruity cocktails; we opted for the outdoor pitfire area (granted the fire was not yet illuminated at 6:30 pm). The patio area is very quaint (yet large) with a view of the Noho Sign. The tables are a bit high for the chairs which can be awkward, but I'm just being picky. We ordered some goodies from the Half-Price menu: Hummus Shawarma w/beef, Beef Souvlaki Wrap, and Mythos beer while also grabbing some regular-priced dishes (only because we decided on them after happy hour was over): Falafel Plate and Greek Feta Cheese Plate. The Hummus Shawarma (hummus topped with beef shawarma -- $3.95) was absolutely delicious. The hummus was moist with the perfect blend of tart lemon to tahini ratio while the shawarma was made with divinely spiced, tender fillet mignon. I could eat this all day. The Beef Souvlaki Kabob Wrap (fillet mignon cubes in a warp with tomato, red onion, lettuce, and tahini -- $4.95) was light but tasty and filling. The Greek Feta Cheese Plate (feta, tomato, olives -- but we substituted cucumbers-- topped with oregano and olive oil-- $6.95) was light and summery with delicious feta cheese pieces while the Falafel Plate ( 5 pieces -- $6.50) was probably the best falafel I have had, to date. Crispy on the outside but soft and moist on the inside, it was almost like a perfect crab cake. This was all washed down with Mythos beer ($2.50) which topped the airy meal with a bang. The waitress was informative and had the aire of a family-business versus trying too hard to earn a tip. She did know when to spice it up, though. Some questions are meant to be unanswered. I don't care to know WHY Pyramido is good; it is enough that it IS. Whether dinner, a cocktail by a firepit, or Happy Hour calls your name, head to Pyramido for a light, refreshing experience.

16 dollar shawarma plate ! Fail

16 dollar shawarma plate ! Fail , two veggies , chicken not that great , no pita bread , yeah not worth 16 dollars . Looks chill for Hooka , maybe drinks . But was definitely disappointed with the food . Thought i had found a good lake Greek place . But maybe not

Bite marks from the bed bugs on their couch that bit me.

    * THIS PLACE HAS BED BUGS * I used to come to Pyramido at least 2-3 times a week to study and smoke. Mido was always very friendly with me until this situation. I had noticed after I started coming here that I was breaking out in what I thought where hives. I truly believed these breakouts where due to me being very stressed out. One night my friend decided to join me and we sat where I usually did on the couches inside the restaurant. As I was eating the food I ordered, my friend noticed a bug crawling around my chest area where I had been "breaking out" in hives. She immediately told me to not move because she knows I am terrified of bugs and she flicked it off of me. She told me not to freak out but that I had a bed bug on me. I had no idea what a bed bug looked like. She then flashed her cell phone light on the couch and noticed there where a bunch of bed bugs all over the couch. That's when it all clicked. I hadn't been breaking out I had been getting bit over and over again every time I came to Pyramido. I immediately told Mido and he LITERALLY DIDN'T CARE!!! HE DIDN'T EVEN APOLOGIZE!!! oh and he still made us pay the bill! I asked him for a claim form from their insurance, in case I would end up having an infestation at my home and he refused to give me one! His whole demeanor changed with me. I couldn't believe it! I ended up calling the health department and informing them of what happened. They said they would go and check it out but I'm not sure if they ever did. There are hundreds of other hookah bars in the surrounding areas. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else because this place truly doesn't care about their customers at all. I have never been back and I have told everyone I know to stay away from here.

    Alfredo

I am addicted to pyramido it has just the perfect flavors and freshness. I have been coming here for two years now and it has never failed me.

    Hookah 5 star quality
    Harut Y.

Ok. After my first review of this place, I found myself coming back frequently, as my friends are usually chilling in the patio here smoking hookah. The place has grown on me. My first visit here was not the best, as this place lacks customers and has no popularity, thus having only one employee is sufficient to run the place. Hookah has been swell recently and is only getting better. This is one of the few places that has good hookah now.

    Gorgeous bar!!

Ate here for the first time this afternoon. We started off with the hummus and cheese sticks... both were great and not too oily. Then had the garlic fries with Parmesan cheese and herbs... WOW! After the appetizers, our food came out. I ordered the Penne Chicken Pasta with sun dried tomatoes.... TO DIE FOR! My boyfriend got the Beef Lulu plate.... he was very satisfied. Overall the food was AMAZING! Our server was really nice... very talkative and friendly. The owner was a sweet heart, coming out to see how we liked our food. Made us feel welcomed and appreciated. Def will be coming back! And def recommending this place for to my friend and family. 5 star cooking and 5 star service

This place is located in a plaza, with a billboard that just says Hookah Lounge so might be easy to miss by first timers in the area. Parking is in the plaza, sometimes it might be full, but when we arrived, there were many spots in the front. Just make sure not to park in 30 minute marks, because there's a few of those! Walking in, I wasn't sure what to expect. There's black curtains covering the door, which makes it seem a little bit sketchy, but its super intimate! Its both indoors, and outdoors they also have a couple tables. There is no hostess, so just take a seat wherever you'd like and you will be approached by a worker or owner. Comfortable couches, that are great for group seating! The whole vibe of the place is very club like with the black and red, and chandelier like lighting. I love love love the music! For once a hookah lounge is playing loud enough music, with all good vibes. The best part about the lounge is the air ventilation! I can't do indoor hookah lounges, but this one was really comfortable, even though we were indoors, it felt like we were outside. There was constant air flow. Facilities are clean, hookah hits really good! Big ups to you guys! My hookah lasted for 3 hours with 3 rounds of charcoal and I didn't even need to get a refill. It never burned or went bad either. Btw: There is no food here, but there is a FatBurger in the plaza and is open late! You are allowed to get food from outside and bring it in and eat it at the lounge. There is also a Chinese place across the street. That's a big plus! - Overall great place and I'm sure it'll grow into something greater!
