The Sauv Blanc, the Brutal Hill Blend, the Beast, honestly, there's not a wine they make I don't enjoy. The personal craft of each wine is apparent from the first sip to the last. The next thing is the Cheese Shop, I don't eat a lot of dairy, but the choices they offer make it worth the indulgence. They have the best charcuterie board in town, the purses with the balsamic glaze is so luscious I crave it. Then call a friend to join me. And both Lorraine and Mike are such great hosts! I feel at home there, with the engraved glass, the seating arrangements where you can have a personal conversation even if all the chairs are taken. They organize fun events with different organizations, we joined in martini week last year and plan on doing it again this year. Such fun. Love this place! The staff and owners are so kind and attentive. Our group decided to do the wine class, and the owner personally sat down with us to go through each wine. His wife kept checking to make sure our food was good and that we were enjoying ourselves. They complimented us and were so kind that I think this is the only winery I want to spend my money at when I come back to Napa. The staff was even gracious enough to give us a private tour of their land, so we got to see their beautiful koi pond, wedding ceremony areas, cows, horses, and we even met the family dogs . We had a brief tour and learned a lot about how they grow, harvest, and create their wines. Interestingly, their winery just received authentication as an organic winery and their practices are clearly about sustainability. Their wines are quite good to my palate. The Syrah Rotie is full bodied and will age well. The Oro de Plata is a lovely light wine, very drinkable. And my favorite was the La Cruz Chardonnay, with a light touch of oak.
