The strip mall this place is in has a bunch of great casual food options. It would be difficult to live here and not have to workout every day so as not to gain 100 lbs. I came here for the first time a few years back and I was impressed with the freshness of the salsa's. I hadn't been to Chipotle yet (which is a notch better) at the time so I had nothing to compare it to. At that time I was disappointed with a few things there which started with the attitude. There was one guy who seemed to be doing all the work while a couple other girls who seemed to be hired on looks alone stood around waiting in dread for the next time they would called upon to lift a finger. I wish they did lift a finger because the place was sloppy, tables needed wiping, floors swept, etc. The design of the dining area was a little cold and metallic but modern. It would have been cool if it was clean. I went back there recently and things have changed nicely. All the people working there were very pleasant, it was nice and clean, the lighting was warmer and toned down a bit and some of the food options seem better. I love Qdoba. Lately, though, this location has disappointed me. 1. Customer service: I feel so very rushed when I'm ordering. I feel like I'm holding up production on their assembly line of burritos. It's not like I'm ordering a million things and am indecicive. I know exactly what I want. Let me tell you without being rushed. 2. Amount of toppings: I always order the vegetarian burrito, which consists of beans, rice, salsas, and guacamole. I'm paying about the same price for this non-meat burrito as I would for a meat burrito. So why, exactly, are you skimping on rice and beans? I should not have to ask for "a little more rice" after you give me half a scoop. The burritos are HUGE, so I'm ok with eating a smaller burrito, but please sell it to me for $4 instead of $6. It's just not priced fair. 3. Undercooked beans: Just, no. Gross. Please cook the beans fully. I'll keep eating here occasionally, but it's not my favorite location. I eat at QDOBA pretty often and have always been fairly pleased. Generally I go to the location by my home out in Rochester Hills. Today I tried this location because it is close to my work. It was a totally different atmosphere. There was no line and yet I waited a surprising amount of time before even being helped. Then after placing my order I was quickly switched to another person and had to repeat my complete order. Not a big deal alone, but after waiting so long just to order it seemed ridiculous that suddenly there were multiple order takers. The reason for my review though is specifically my experience with the employee sprinkling an embarrassingly light amount of steak onto my 3 cheese nacho. I asked if he could add just a little more to my meal. He quickly and harshly spouted back that I'd be charged an additional $2 for extra meat. I said no, I am asking for the general serving, not double meat. After refusing to add any I asked why he wouldn't provide the normal amount, as I've never received so little before. He sharply replied indicating that he is the manager and even though his employees may have over served, he would not be doing that. Then he proceeded to try to shove me along through the line. He made no attempt to satisfy my concerns by even adding a couple more chunks of meat. It really wouldn't have been hard to do that and then explain that he is working with his team on portion control. I said forget it, they can keep their food and walked away. I wish I had gotten this manager's name. I may call up there and get it. If I do I'll add it to this comment. I hope he felt accomplished by standing firm and making his point. I like qdoba's burritos and nachos and the food is always consistent. The pick 2 menu is nice because the portions are smaller and it offers variety for a decent price. Service at this qdoba isn't always consistent though. Slow one day, quick the next. I ordered a taco bar for 20 and added queso cheese. All of the toppings (lettuce, salsa, cheese, etc.) come with the taco bar and a large bag of chips. When we picked it up, there were two large bags and they said we were all set. We figured we were good to go but once we were home, we realized ALL of the toppings were left out. We called the store and they delivered the missing parts of our order within 10-15 minutes. While it was an inconvenience since my guests were all waiting to eat, I appreciated the willingness to make it right so quickly. Horrible experience. After being rushed through the line there was a plastic string in our food. This could be a choking hazard especially for children. When it was brought to the manager Samantha's attention she first said it was cheese. Then she changed her story to it was the plastic string from the black beans. We did not have black beans in our food. She said that the string is normal and if you see something plastic you shouldn't eat it...really? I told her if she saw plastic she shouldn't serve it. Standards here need improving. Got a burrito bowl and the guacamole was gray and tasted terrible, like it had been out for hours (it was early evening). The rice and beans were also tasteless because they needed salt. I've been to other Qdobas where the food was pretty good, so I know they can do better. I'm giving them one star for cleanliness. I can't believe the amount of dust and debris hanging from the lights over the food preparation area. It's clear that this area has not been cleaned for several months. There's massive amounts of prepped food sitting out on the countertops. The soda dispensing machine is horrid it is covered with fingerprints and sticky residue of sodas past. I was in there well after The lunch rush. It isn't the food that's terrible, but a couple things that could improve. Such as, the very friendly employee licked his fingers a couple times while grabbing a bag for my food and that made my stomach feel a little unsettled. The food is always good here, the customer service is decent, but my main problem with this location is the HUGE amount of dust clinging to the walls and light fixtures directly above the service line. Food is amazing but staff not so much. if you are going to enforce a mask rule you have to follow that rule as well. i walked up to the window of the restaurant and saw that the guy behind the counter wasn't wearing a mask. so i walked in. he then puts up his mask to tell me i cant be served without a mask. i'm gonna assume he is the shift leader. i go outside and grab the mask come back in and he gives me rude looks while the sweet little old man takes my order. the manager then goes to take a smoke break but is by the food without a mask? which he just told me to go get one or leave. then comes back inside goes to the register to cash me out when i then kindly remind him to put on his mask. he then huffs and puts on a mask then touches the change with his gloves he just touched my money with and goes to the back and touches more stuff. i don't mean to be rude but if you are gonna tell me to put on a mask when there is a sheet of glass protecting the food then you have to wear that one too. but the street tacos were amazing :) read more

Some of the best chips and queso outside of Moe's. I always get my quesadilla to go but have never been dissatisfied. I will say however make sure everything you expect is in your meal before leaving. This was my first visit at this restaurant. It was the absolute best quesadilla I've ever tasted in my life. The fact that they make their tortillas fresh each time is awesome. I highly recommend this place I will be returning. The manager went above and beyond in making sure that we were happy with our meal.The customer service was exceptional. I feel almost guilty giving a good review to a "Mexican" food restaurant that is laid out like a Subway, but the food is just hard-to-argue good. I haven't been to Qdoba for at least 4 years, and I remember it being good. But I forgot how fresh everything tasted. I got the Flank Steak burrito, and even the meat was very tender. I'm not a huge fan of the burrito itself, because it had a gummy texture that almost sticks to the roof of your mouth. But I can understand it needing to be a little sticky in order to stretch it and be pliable for wrapping. The only negative is that it's still $9 for a[n admittedly] good burrito and soda. My wife also got one, and could only finish half of it. She's a picky eater, and she was really happy with hers, too. If it were cheaper, I'd come here more often. As it stands, nearly $20 for a burrito lunch for us seems steep. But that's the only reason it got 4 stars instead of 5. Great food, large portions, and good quality ingredients. read more

It's like Chipotle but wayyy better. I was on a burrito kick and since qdoba and chipotle are both minutes from work, I went there back to back (separate days of course)... Chipotle was good, Qdoba was much better... They just load those burritos up with so much goodness!! In doing so you get a HUGE portion for a fair price, almost too much food, but I always seem to manage finishing it... It's just sooo good. read more

The staff here is great they are so attentive to the customer. I have dined here many times and they are so quick and accommodating. The place is clean and there is always iced tea made. Absolutely horrible customer service. The manager, Jessica, was some weak spoken girl who didn't know how to handle a customer issue. I waited for 30 minutes for a curbside online order and when I called to check on my status they said they didn't know when my meal would be ready. Then I asked to have my order cancelled and instead of cancelling my order right then and there so I could receive my refund, she pushed it off. I followed up an hour later and asked why I hadn't received my cancellation email, she responded with "I haven't gotten the chance to cancel the order yet". So naturally, I ask, "well can you cancel it now?" TO WHICH SHE RESPONDS, "I will get to it later". I'm sorry but I am pretty sure it takes less that 2 minutes to cancel an order, and I've called twice now, so you think she would cancel it? NOPE. I waited close to FOUR HOURS for my order to finally be cancelled. She can believe shes going to get some major attitude from me if I ever chose to eat here again. First let me start off by qualifying that I am not really much of a mexican cuisine lover. I am more of the Taco Bell level when it comes to the whole Mexican Food Thing. But having said that Qdoba is a happy medium between paying $30 for food I don't really love and a 89 cent floppy taco. $7 - $8 gets you a belly full of food that is at better than fast food quality. Usually I really enjoy my Qdoba experience. The one at this location was not enjoyable. I went in to get a taco salad and they did not have lettuce. Had to settle for a whole wheat burrito. Qdoba does have a bunch of delicious ingredient that definitely made my meal worthwhile. Very yummy guac. The 2 star rating is a 2 out of 5 regarding just Qdoba. There was also a huge kitchen but only 2 employees were on duty at the counter and nobody in the back making food?.....during dinner time?? The staff was friendly until they started getting a big line behind me. Then they tried to rush me out of there and I did not even time to look at all the ingredients to decide what I really wanted. There was just something off about this Qdoba. Chipotle has 12 employees behind their counters and this very large restaurant only had 2 in a very busy area? Chipotle also may have bacteria in their salad but at least they have lettuce! I enjoyed my meal but the experience could have been better. read more

I had the worst experience here today. Now I eat Qdoba once I week it's a must have However I walked in and the first thing I seen was a floor fan up on the counter blowing towards the food (knowing that means dust is blowing that way). Then next to the fan is a worker standing behind the counter licking on a ice cream cone. Now the place was not busy at all, so I proceeded to the counter after the worker comes from mingling with another guest that was telling the worker that he was going to give them a good "yelp" review. So he comes behind the counter to make our food but didn't wash his hands but put gloves on. I look at the counter and it was filthy food everywhere, now I know since I go once a week that you at least clean your mess up as you go or after you're done but again they were extremely slow. So I asked him why was it dirty and it looks like they didn't stir any of their sauces...... he just laughed. So I started my order to order steak nachos and he barely put me any steak on there so I asked for more and he told me it was extra.... again I go here once a week so after turning around and seeing food all on the floor and tables I told him that is ok. He put my food to the side and made my brother in law's food. And I said to the manager that they have a worker standing behind the counter licking on a ice cream cone and he told her to leave. So after making my brother in laws food we start leaving and leaves from behind the counter and still didn't throw my food old food I did not want away. This Qdoba ROCKS!!! I absolutely hate Chipotle and even more so Baja Fresh. This chain has the freshest and most flavorful ingredients for a psuedo Mexican place. Let's be honest this isn't authentic Mexican food but its better than Taco Bell and puts a nice twist and upgrade on things. My favorite entree is the Naked Chicken Fajita Ranchero Burrito w/o beans and loaded with 4 different salsas and extra fajita style veggies. It is absolutely AMAZING!!! They also have a wonderful rewards program that has saved me a ton of money. I've been a customer for so long they've actually changed the look of the rewards card but as long as it works I'll keep using it. LOL! I really enjoy my food when I go here. The only issue I have is that because the guacomole is made fresh it depends on who is making it whether it is good or great. Other than that this place is my favorite. I've been to the other two chains and find them tasteless and not so fresh. I bet the people that think that those chains are better than Qdoba also think that it is okay to only season food with salt and pepper and nothing else. Try Qdoba and you won't be disappointed. Experiment too... they do allow changes to what you put on your entree. :-) read more
