Based on some of the recent reviews I was a little Leary of trying this place, but a love of sushi and a desire to try everything that Spokane has to offer won out. I got my order to-go so presentation was not part of the rating. I was very pleased with the size and content of the rolls. The tuna and salmon seemed fresh. The sauces were flavorful and unique. The waitress was knowledgeable and and had a sense of humor. My only complaint was that the restaurant was busy and cozy. Saki or sushi.com are a better place for a quiet dinner. Overall I was very pleased and will be back. I would recommend this place to anyone who enjoys well done sushi. read more

QQ really rides the line between 3 and 4 stars for me. Prices for most of their sushi should merit 3 stars, because most things are overpriced but not all. However, QQ has awesome quality food, a great location with great ambiance, and excellent wait staff. Price is the primary determining factor for my ratings on Yelp, but this restaurant manages to earn a star back by being great at everything else (except leaving your wallet fat). Easily the best sushi in Spokane! I have tried 10+ sushi restaurants and this is easily the best. The prices are very reasonable and the service is great. The only downside is that there is very limited seating. Arriving before or after the dinner rush would be your best bet if you wanted to try this place without waiting. read more

I had a terrible experience here. I waited over 30 minutes before my order was even taken then another hour before I revived an appetizer. I could see all of my food places on the counter and it sat there waiting for 15 plus minutes before the waitress even took it over to our table. I'm giving this place 3 stars because the servers nasty attitude tainted the experience. My friend and I were excited to eat here having never been. The food was pretty good but the server- a male with short dark hair in his mid to late 20s was blatantly rude as soon as he came to our table and then argumentative with my friend who asked about the cold air blasting on us. Had dinner here last night and loved it! I had the pineapple shrimp curry and it was amazing, a good lunch of heat and lots and lots of fresh pineapple. The place is tiny and cramped so I think I would do takeout next time, but will definitely be ordering here often! read more

HORRIBLE SERVICE! I had an order of bad sushi something that happens from time to time when you get sushi. It just wasn't tasting right and I know what proper sushi tastes like. I called because I ordered to go and they said to bring it back I figured for a refund so I brought my $70 order back and instead of getting a refund I was told I was wrong the food was probably fine and that I just didn't know how eel was supposed to taste (I eat almost only eel based sushi so I know) he then proceeded to complain that my order was $70 and it was just so much but eel is the most expensive fish he refused to refund my order and gave a gift card for a fraction of the price. Today is my worst dining experience at QQ SUSHI! ! ! First, the waiter service is very poor, I sat there for a long time, a blonde male waiter and another waitress wearing glasses only chat! ! ! Second, very bad and rude sushi master! ! ! Loose sushi rolls, smeared sauces, and his rude and impatient attitude! He is more energetic in chatting with a mobile phone and a waitress. I often come here to eat, and their other sushi chef is more professional and will greet customers with enthusiasm. Definitely not the best sushi in Spokane. I came with my mom in on a busy Saturday night, so naturally it was very busy and there was a wait. Which was fine. When we were finally seated at the bar it was quite uncomfortable... the music was way too loud and there were people getting (and complaining) about to-go orders right be side me, leaving me and my mother no space whatsoever. Sushi was very disappointing. The avocado and cucumber rolls were not good at all, neither was the salmon roll. They were all larger than usual, letting the vegetables or not-so-fresh salmon completely overpower the rice and seaweed. Then it seemed, to make up for the blandness, there were weird designs or smiley faces made from spicy mayo or siracha. All in all, they need a bigger restaurant space. Traveling from ND to Seattle we decided we needed to get out of the car for a real dinner. This place was small but what it lacked in space it made up for in delicious, large portion entrees. Even though it was busy when we arrived we received our food promptly and we enjoyed the Volcano, the Boom China Wow Wow, some salmon sashimi and spicy scallop hand rolls. All very good and fresh. Wonderful! First time there tonight for my husband's grandmas 74th birthday. She really wanted a good bento box... we drove all the way here from Hayden based on the reviews and it was well worth it! They were really accommodating with the kids even though they don't have kids menu, they got the sweet and sour chicken and they loved it! The kids even devoured the gyozas. We also ordered crab and cheese won tons and those were gobbled up by us very quickly. The grandparents and my husband all got the bento boxes and I ordered the sushi (Hawaii and mexicali) everything was delicious. It is small inside so beware of that, although they sat our party of 6 immediately. Very fast friendly service, what are you waiting for? Try it! read more

Definitely one of the better Sushi and Sashimi spots in the Inland Northwest, we were with 3 other couples that had never been here before. I mentioned that the last time I was here in May with Dennis and Neal we all couldn't believe the quantity and quality of the Sashimi. So the journey began with numerous platters and they didn't disappoint all items were incredible, of the 12 items we ordered to share, all hot food was hot and cold was cold ......the way it should be. Service was quite good, but needed to wait too long for beverages. We will all definitely be back here again for a great evening out on the town. Went in and ordered a poke salad to go. The waiter said shouldn't take more than 10mins. It took 30mins to get my food, which itself isn't too bad since they started getting a lunch rush after I came in. My issue was that the two people who came 5-10mins after me got their food before me and had ordered 2-3 items a piece. I asked 15mins in about my order and the waiter said the chef wasn't working on it yet then walked off. I asked again after the 2nd person got her food before me and the waitress said it happens and then walked off. I want to think it was a one off based off other people's reviews but probably won't try again for a while. read more

The service was impeccable. The staff was helpful regardless of whether they were ours or not. We got a complimentary appetizer and were never thirsty. The rolls were very large. I finished my roll and was stuffed. I got the rainbow and the Seahawk roll. My husband got the Pretty Women roll. I would definitely come back here. Love the regular menu choices, but there are specials as well that provide yummy variety. My wife and I like to go and each order a favorite roll, then we try something new. Honestly seeing the bad reviews I thought I would still give this place a try but the food was not great at all and the waiter was just horrible. We waited for our food for a long time ...I'm not even gunna say how long we had to wait for our check and in the end he had someone else bring it out for him. I just wanted to let you know I updated and changed my review. I was here a little while ago and had two poor experiences. I gave a 2 star rating. I said I'd never come back. Well, I gave it another shot. The food here is always amazing, just poor service. I just tired it again a couple of days ago and everything was great. Our server was kind and very attentive. What a find. Likely the best sushi I've had outside of Seattle. The portions are very generous one piece of tuna here double what most places serve. We sampled the Pretty Woman and the Rock'n both were fantastic and just the right amount of spicy. The atmosphere is great and the service was prompt and friendly. So, I really want to give this place 3.5 stars. I have eaten here 4 times in the last 2 months. The food is great. Presentation is meh on some and great on others. What frustrates me is that every role I have had falls apart. I have never had sushi that falls apart like these roles. I have to eat with a fork or my hands and I am not particularly fond of that. Again, let me stress the flavors are fantastic, which will keep me coming back. My kids absolutely love this place. They actually like the small dining area. I don't mind it, except in the winter, the cold blows through every time the door opens, which is a lot, as they are a pretty busy place. The service is ok. Read other comments and that is what you will get for service. I have seen the same people getting take out on multiple occasions and the same people dining in as well, so they have a strong following, my kids included. read more
