We moved about three weeks ago and used QShark Moving. I'm finally getting around to writing this review. Obviously, moving is very stressful, but the team at QShark was fantastic. We reached out to several other moving companies on Yelp and got the same boilerplate response from all of them. QShark communicated with us very well throughout the entire process and was the ONLY ONE that did a FaceTime walk-through (at my request) so they could see in advance what we were moving. Many of our pieces are mirrored furniture and very fragile and delicate. We chose to go with a team of four movers. It was a little more expensive by the hour, but in the long run it's saved us a lot of time. The four movers all seemed very experienced and worked well as a team. The main person, Martin, communicated well and was very honest. I say this because he did not start the clock until all four movers arrived. Stopped the clock when they took a lunch break, etc. The team we had was the driver Martin and three helpers Johnny, Chris and Isara (sp?). These guys work their asses off and moved quickly. My fear was that when you pay by the hour the movers would be slow and unorganized, but these guys were a fine oiled machine and never slowed down. All in all it was a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend QShark. read more

Legit moving company! I had the absolute pleasure of hiring three top notch movers, Joseph, Eric and John. They were extremely fast, yet didn't break a single item. My four bed two bath with a garage was completely packed and delivered in four hours. Now that is what I call fast! These guys are awesome! We hired 3 of them for a 3 bedroom plus loft move. Joseph the foreman was a beast, he led the pack and pushed the other 2 guys- Erik and John to the max. There was no slacking off. You hear stories where they take their sweet time to wrap or slow moving... not these guys. Just tell them what you expect them to do and they'll let you know the realistic scenario of it. We ended up doing about 4.5 hours, which is really good for all the shit we have. The items that you want great care make sure you let them know! They will handle with care. They were working super extra hard... I've never seen movers so motivated. IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING A CROSS COUNTRY OR OUT OF STATE MOVE WITH COMPANY, READ THIS REVIEW!! This was absolutely one of the most stressful and horrifying experiences I have ever experienced in over 20 years of business. DO NOT believe the reviews you see on this company, their entire strategy revolves around taking a loss on bad moves to increase their rating. If they aren't out of business soon, whether for bad practice or class action lawsuit, or both, they will be. Initially, I provided the company with a list of my items as well as a video of my business/warehouse which was being moved along with a residence. I was quoted by Tracy, who, after 24 hours of correspondence and reviewing my items and video, said it would be NO MORE than 18k for the move, which was all in writing, signed by both parties. So I made the deposit to lock down the move, thinking everything was fine but when the movers arrived, late, and as the majority of my stuff was loaded, and after I was assured by Tracy they would have enough space (even when I have all the emails saying to her that I think they needed more space and her saying she was sure they didn't), it was a classic bait and switch - all of a sudden the rate increased from 18k to 25k and they were going to unload the trucks if I did not agree. Because of time constraints on my end I had no choice. I was also told that this would include full service, assembly and unloading of the trucks along with placing the items where they belonged. Started off bad, got even worse..... After I verbally agreed AND sent FULL PAYMENT of 25k, I did not hear anything from this company for over an entire business day after asking for a delivery date update. Literally, this company had my entire business and home packed up and after promises of "real time GPS updates", it was radio silence. Then they resurfaced saying that if I did not sign their new agreement, they would not deliver my items, basically holding my items hostage and forcing me to sign something I didnt agree to which is totally illegal. When they arrived, late, only one truck arrived because the other had broken down. That truck was unloaded and the next truck arrived the next day, however there was no crew besides the driver.... I needed to hire an entire crew, after paying 25k and promises of this being included. Then on day 2, the crew shows up at 5:45 PM, blasted on some sort of drugs or something, this was just insane, and my guys had already done all of the work. I am out of pocket over 7k in having to hire, plan, and account for the faults of QShark in addition to them raising the price and being outside of the time frame the guaranteed. One of their trucks broke down but since I had already paid, management wasn't willing to go the extra mile to get the truck fixed properly and delivered to me by their guaranteed due date. NOTHING this company promised in the beginning was true, at all. After doing some research on this company and talking to current and former employees, here is what I found. - I was told this company has a high turnover and is completely shady - I was told by a current employee that they knew my move was going to go horribly from the start and that they are not equipped to handle cross country moves - I was told that their management didnt even see my list, videos, or speak to me when the quote was issued - classic bait and switch - I was told that the manager has been physically attacked by staff- numerous times. - I was told that as soon as I paid, management could care less what happened with my move - I was told there will likely be lawsuits against this company If you have a cross country move do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. read more

These guys are amazing. Set up my appointment through Yelp after quotes from multiple other vendors. They have more than reasonable pricing and we're very responsive. Day of we had a slight hiccup as their movers were delayed in the morning. Sorry forgetting the names but someone called and let us know the change in schedule and that we our rate be fairly adjusted. The movers themselves were amazing. We had a team of 3 that were fast, efficient, and careful with our stuff. I'm still amazed at how fast they were able to disassemble and move the stuff into the moving truck. I was even MORE awestruck at how they were able to get everything into our new place. Expertly navigate everything through upstairs and even a spiral staircase into our loft. 2/28/2021 Services were rendered successfully with an A+. We were contacted by Chase and they were on time. His team included Lester, Joe and Tyler. We did the initial walkthrough of our home along with our storage unit that could be a studio apartment in size. We live on the 2nd floor of a large complex. The challenge would be the journey with each stage having its' own set of obstacles: house-to-elevator-to-truck. The long walk from the elevator alone with our furniture created a strongman-esque competition. Our belongings fully packed their large truck. There were no complaints or slowdowns. I was kept up to date on progress. Questions were asked by both parties and things kept on trucking. They were done after 8 grueling hours. Way to go Qshark! Made our moving so smooth ‍ I was a lil' hesitant at first only because when I sent them a request for a quote I had a male respond back. Then I had a few questions and a female responded. Once I knew I wanted to go with this company I called and a female with a thick accent answered (very nice but hard to understand) she scheduled me. Then the next day I called back to get the protection warranty and another female answered. So I spoke to about 4 different people. I had 2 trucks and 4 movers. Martin was awesome and the movers were quick. Non. Stop! I don't think they took any breaks to be honest. They worked a full day. They moved me and my family out all in one day. Of course I only wanted them to moved out all the big items... bed, drawers, couch, tv's etc. I had a few boxes. They wrapped all our furniture so it won't get damaged. Our move was back at the end of August 2020, but I forgot to post my review. We hired four movers and the truck to move us about 30 miles. The movers showed up on time, they loaded our furniture and boxes with care, and they unloaded with care as well. It took about 10 hours total but we had the majority of our items packed. We had some heavy furniture and I appreciated having their help. We have a baby grand piano that they wrapped tightly in moving blankets and moved to our new home without a scratch. I shared my experience and he investigated the GPS used in my move and concluded I was over charged. I've added a star for the great customer service from their claims team, specifically Wesley. I honestly wasn't expecting anyone to reach out to me regarding my move and when he did he let me talk and explain to him why I was disappointed. I honestly thought it was just going to be a wash and wasn't even concerned about getting money back because I was just glad that the move was over. Wesley called me and we discussed my concerns and my damaged appliances/furniture. He was quick to get me a refund based on insurance and reassure me that this is not the way they work. Like I previously stated, I've had family use this company and they had good experiences. I guess I was just the one who had the bad luck. I don't know if I would give this company a try again if I move again, but I will say they did have great customer service on the claims side which can normally be the most frustrating part. read more

Below is my original review and I had given them a low rating. After posting the review I was contacted by Elena and Wes (Manager) from Qshark. They were both friendly and apologized for the poor experience. They showed genuine concern for what happened and wanted to make things right. After talking to them I believe they sincerely want to ensure that they are providing great service and experience to their customers. Although there are many moving companies and hard to differentiate yourself, the promptness with which Qshark handled the situation shows they are invested in the business and care about the company's reputation. They acknowledged that things could have been handled better during the move and offered me a refund in order to make things right. While my original moving experience was not ideal, the prompt follow-up and resolution by Elena / Wes makes me feel that my experience was probably an exception or anomaly then the rule. Decided to go with Qshark based on the good reviews on Yelp but our experience was pretty bad. We received a quote of 3 movers + truck at $129 per hour cash payment. We had packed most of the stuff and moved it to a storage unit. Needed to move the stuff in storage unit and remaining items (furniture, daily use clothes, etc.) from the condo in Irvine. Issue # 1 - Qshark sent inexperienced movers. Only 1 guy looked experienced and acted as the lead. The other 2 guys were pretty clueless and just waiting for instructions from the lead. Issue # 2 - Movers were not coordinated and complained a lot. We have moved in the southern california region before and have also moved cross-country so understand the process. Movers generally work in coordinated fashion to get the job done as quickly as possible. The movers that Qshark sent were uncoordinated, tired and complained the whole time Issue # 3 - Movers damaged stuff Broke the hydraulics on the king size bed and dents / scratches on the refrigerator ($1200 refrigerator purchased brand new just 6 months ago). The scratches are in the front on the doors of the refrigerator so pretty visible. Issue # 4 - Movers were slow leading to an exorbitant bill Because of the inexperience the movers were slow (literally carrying one plastic shopping bag at a time. Should have taken a picture. I was shocked at the incompetence). The slowness can be gauged from the fact that moving a 3 bedroom condo took them 6 hrs on Aug 14 with overnight pause and 8 hrs on Aug 15 leading to a bill of almost $2000. I later negotiated it down to $1500 after a long argument with the manager but Qshark did not acknowledge damages to the bed or refrigerator I had a pretty bad experience with Qshark and would not use them again. read more

Best moving experience I've ever had. Started off by requesting a quote through Yelp, and David responded to me within the hour. He was able to schedule me on short notice and gave me a breakdown of cost (the best price I had seen compared to other Yelp quotes), what would be included, and how they work. The movers I had, Tye and Angel, were incredibly nice and helpful! Tye explained the process at the beginning, took a look at what we were working with, and let me know that there's guaranteed time of completion, but he and Angel would be working as quickly as possible. Both movers wore masks the entire time which was great to see. They also took the time to shrink wrap and cover all large furniture and fragile items with padded blankets and even advised the best way to move large furniture safely. They even provided us with 5 wardrobe boxes at no extra charge. Best deal and crews around. Super fast, super friendly guys, did a lot of little extra stuff I forgot to prepare (plastic wrap some things, protect some stuff I overlooks, even unscrewed a few things off the wall with their own drill). This is the second time I used these company (last time in 2016), so they are definitely consistent. Moving is expensive already, with deposits and misc. costs, so having a moving company not "break the bank" and also make you feel confident your stuff is being handled well - is priceless. I used them for a temporary move into storage back in January, and I plan on literally using them again this week. I"ll submit another review after that, to confirm their consistency. George and crew, Gio and Terry hustled for us today. They just dont stop moving- they were always working. They were efficient and did the job. They were masked up the whole time and would wear booties/remove shoes when we asked. I chose Q shark after looking at a couple of companies and I'm so glad that I did. I was really happy with the price and the job they did in helping me moving from San Diego to Colorado.My five star rating is primarily due my moving consultant Tracy and to Josh the team member who did the cross country trip and unloaded my stuff in CO. As I was shutting down my life and selling my place in California. Tracy was so flexible and helping me set up dates and times. Always willing to adjust based on changes that may have happened on my end. I can't thank her enough. Josh I know how to repack the truck before the drive. And single-handedly unloaded the full two bedroom belongings into the storage unit. He was great on time and thoughtful about putting my stuff in the unit. Only part of the process it wasn't perfect was the packing. I feel that they weren't as efficient and thoughtful about putting things together as they could've been.
