Stopped by for a quick bite and grabbed the house bánh mì. It was fine -- decent size and price -- but didn't really stand out. The pâté lacked flavor, and the bread could've used more toasting. The meat selection was solid though, definitely the highlight of the sandwich. The pickled carrots were okay, but I missed that classic radish kick and tanginess you usually get. Just felt like it needed a bit more brightness overall. Cute little place with a very homey, handmade decor vibe. There's technically one indoor seat, but it's more of a grab-and-go setup. I went around 2PM on a Saturday, and even though it was empty, the sandwich still took a while to come out. Not bad if you're nearby and want something affordable and filling, but probably wouldn't go out of my way for it again.

The banh mi here is amazing! The crispiness is on point here. Best banh mi I've had in Philly. Decent portion of meat, and the sauce is very savory. The staff is friendly. This is a whole in the wall place so take-out only. It's in a very central area so parking is kinda difficult.

Stumbled upon this place after discovering every other banh mi shop was closed. Small place with lots of sandwich and drink options. I did eat this sandwich after it cooled, so I may not be giving it an accurate rating. However, it tasted just like a good sandwich vs a banh mi. There was a unique and yummy black-pepper based spread though.

QT Báhn Mì's delicious QT Special Vietnamese Sandwich with combo of BBQ Pork, Vietnamese Ham and Meat, Pate and garnishes on a crusty roll.

QT Báhn Mì is a super hole-in-the-wall cheap eats adjacent in Chinatown that offers reasonably priced fresh Vietnamese Sandwiches and other specialties. There is a single small table to sit, but it's really more for a grab & go place since there isn't much room in front of the counter. The friendly clerk recommended their QT Special, which includes a combo of BBQ Pork, Vietnamese Ham and Meat, Mayo, Pate, Cucumbers, Shredded Pickled Carrots, Cilantro and Jalapenos on a crusty hoagie roll. I asked for it only mildly spicy. It was delicious. Next time, plan to also try their Summer Rolls. Would recommend QT if you're in the neighborhood.

Recently I went to Philly for some event so I decided to stop by here and grab some Vietnamese sandwiches to go on the way back to NYC. I was hungry so I picked one out of the 6 sandwiches that I got to eat in the car and unfortunately the sandwich that I picked had some unidentifiable objects in there. They were few of them around the bread. They looked like either white fibers or white furs which I couldn't tell exactly what they were. Since I was starving I decided to cut out the bread parts that got the things on and I only ate the stuffing. It was very annoying and disappointing experience because I used to like this place a lot. I don't even know if the rest would be the same because I got those to give away. I didn't call the store because I wasn't sure how to explain to them.

We were looking for a good place to get a banh mi and came across QT. They have ample vegetarian options too. QT is an unassuming tiny hole in the wall kind of place. There's one table inside with two chairs, so don't expect to dine in. I got the lemongrass tofu banh mi and a side of tofu egg rolls. Our food was freshly prepared and we were in and out in about 10 minutes. It was also inexpensive. My sandwich was actually bigger than I had expected and it had the perfect amount of spice to mingle with the lemongrass. I devoured it and shared the egg rolls with my friends. QT absolutely satisfied my banh mi craving. I would definitely return if I'm in the area.

Still #1 for taste and convenience. Quick service and great value . There's just 1 table to eat at but most people take it to go.

I'm not the biggest fan of banh mi sandwiches, but I was walking around Chinatown in search of something new. This place kind of stuck out. It's a small mom and pop shop that gets good reviews on Yelp and it's reasonably priced. So I figured I'd give it a shot. Ordered the qt special, which is a combination of BBQ pork and Vietnamese ham and meat. I also ordered the summer rolls. The sandwich was a good size and was pretty filling. The quality wasn't bad either. The summer rolls were about average. I will definitely be back to try more of their menu.

I thought this sandwich was just okay. The bread was really hard. There's a Difference between hard and crispy... Cashier was nice and it seems like a hole in the wall spot. For a banh mi, it was also really over-price-which was the first red flag... this one was about $9 or $10. Would I come back? Not sure... I had higher hopes. But if you're looking for a quick banh mi in China town this might be it.

I paid $6 for a drink that was mostly ice

I thought it was just okay ... the sandwich was nice, but should have been stuffed more. Also, I paid $6 for vietnamese coffee that is more than half ice ..

    Qt sandwich special.

Delicious sandwich. Fresh and crispy bread. The cold meats good and yummy. Seasoning was slightly salty a bit. Otherwise good sandwich overall. Great staff service.

Not tough but a nice, soft seeded sub roll. Seeing it arrive was a little overwhelming but I kinda thought the thing was light and was easy to finish off 1/2. The Fig and Pig - the fig jam was outstanding. Great sweetness with the saltiness from the prosciutto and then to top it off, the crunch of the cutlets. Excellent. As I was leaving, I saw a cutlet, with mutz, broccoli rabe, and roasted red peppers. I WILL be back for that. That looked amazing. Service was very friendly, prompt. We sat down and within a few minutes, our sandwiches came out. Looks like they were working on takeout / delivery orders and I thought, oh crap, am i behind all of that. But I guess they were either done or they prioritize the tables. Place was small but at 2:30 or so, it had a couple of tables open. They had tables outside but a little warm and in the sun for that. I went to Middle Child a few weeks ago just after 3, only to find it closes at 3. Today I returned, around 1, and there was a good crowd there having lunch. I ordered the Surfer, and the Hash Brown Potatoes. The Surfer is Middle Child's most popular sandwich. It's made on a Ciabatta bun, and has a thick layering of tender, lean, House Turkey breast, with melty Swiss cheese, arugula, blueberry chutney, and Duke's mayo. It's hard to describe just how delicious this sandwich was. My biggest concern was the Ciabatta bun - it's not one of my favorites, as I've found them to be tough and difficult to bite through. My fears were quickly put to rest after the first bite! The bun had a slightly crispy exterior - and when I followed through with my first bite, the tender, soft interior of the Ciabatta was a pleasant surprise. In fact, it complemented the thick savory Turkey, arugula, chutney and mayo! It was one of the best Turkey sandwiches I've had. Now, if that wasn't enough, don't forget, I ordered the Hash Brown Potatoes. It said Hash Browns on the blackboard, see attached picture, but these 'weren't your Mama's hash browns'! They are described online as Latka'd Hash Browns. They are thick crispy squares that combine a potato pancake latke with a hash brown texture. The interior reminded me of my mother's potato kugel, which I still reminisce about. In one word, those fried crispy potato squares were outstanding. It's 'a must try' and goes so well with the Surfer! Last, but not least, the Limeade! It was so refreshing! Not too tart, not too sweet... just right! I'll be returning to Middle Child in the not too distant future!

Turkey was tender, bread (ciabatta I think?) held together fine even though the sandwich was pretty loaded. Definitely a lean-over-the-plate kind of sandwich, got some chutney on my fingers, but that's kind of expected with a sandwich like this I guess. Also got one of the latke hash browns on the side and that thing didn't last long at all - crispy outside, soft in the middle, I finished it before I was even halfway through my sandwich. Might've been the better item honestly, don't tell the sandwich that.

They also have sides that include - tots, fried pickle chips, onion rings, fries, fried mozzarella and Zayda's pickle spears, chips and cherry pepper shooters. They have a couple of vegan options and GF rolls for extra $$. The staff was more than happy to give recommendations and their favs. My first lunch was The Eye - $15 Ribeye steak, Cooper Sharp American, fried onions came on a seeded Liscio's roll. If you enjoy the somewhat newer Cooper sharp style that's out there you'll like theirs. The Cooper sharp was gooey, mixed in well with the meat and on the heavier side. The ribeye was thin cut, delicious and the portion was pretty hefty. Second visit I went with - The Nad - $15 Chicken cutlet, fresh mozzarella, prosciutto, arugula, Mike's Hot Honey that came on an unseeded Liscio's roll. The portion size was good, chicken was fresh with good breading, the hot honey was a tad on the heavy side, but the flavors all came together pretty good on this one. Sweet, salty, light bitterness from the arugula and some heat from the hot honey. I added Thin Cut Idaho fries to make it a combo for $3 extra and I have to say they were delicious. They smelled like McD's and tasted similar. They are cash only, but have an ATM on site. You can use a card if you order online. The one bathroom they have was pretty clean and organized. I will certainly stop back for a visit if I'm in the area to try out more of their menu. Thanks guys!
