The new AC unit was installed quickly in spring of 2023 which I appreciated. It is under the 2-year warranty, but now it is shorting out. A technician was sent to fix the issue on 4/17/2026. I'm thankful that he arrived less than 24 hours of my phone call. He diagnosed the problem and replaced the part in the same visit. But now it is 4/20/2026, and we are having the same problem again. It is already expensive even for labor. I don't know if it is comparable to the market for such services. I wish the diagnosis included the why the unit is having these electrical problems. Update: A experienced tech was sent to our home on 4/21 to diagnose the problem which was a loose wire. No charge. The technician was understanding and explained what was going on as well as checked the heating just in case there was a problem. I appreciate the time he took to throughly let us know what to expect. AC has a time delay as a safety feature for the compressor. It blinks "cool on" and takes time to turn on. If switching on and off, the time delay is extended. Praying all runs smoothly from now on. Btw, thank you for wearing shoe booties to keep the inside of my home clean! read more

We really love the mini splits that Qualtech Heating & Cooling installed in our bedroom and office. They work fantastic. Erika Thompson handled the project and did an excellent job managing all the logistics. She was always available whenever we reached out with questions, support, or paperwork, which made the entire process smooth and stress-free. The installation itself was quick and efficient. Willson and Josue arrived right on time, worked very carefully, and paid close attention to detail throughout the installation. They were professional and respectful, and they left everything exceptionally clean and well organized when the job was done, which we truly appreciated. We did experience a small bump with the city permit, which had nothing to do with the quality of the installation and more to do with extra city requirements. It was handled very professionally. I am requesting a resolution regarding what appears to be an improper initial installation that has led to recurring system failures. The following timeline details the ongoing problems: - 3-4 Years Post-Installation: The AC began blowing warm air. A technician found the refrigerant low and refilled it for $260. - Recent Visit: The system failed again. Your technician found the refrigerant completely depleted and quoted $1,500 solely for a leak detection test, excluding repairs. - Third-Party Inspection: I hired Service Champions, who performed a leak test for half the cost of your quote. They replaced a leaking Schrader valve but found no leaks in the AC unit, furnace, or liquid line. - Current Status: Despite the repair and refill, the system still fails to cool in hot weather. Service Champions returned and identified likely contaminants in the liquid line. Service Champions noted that the filter now requires replacement--necessitating a refrigerant recovery and line purge--which typically occurs if lines are not properly purged after brazing during the initial installation. While your installation warranty is only three years, Service Champions offers a lifetime warranty on their work. Had this system been installed correctly or backed by a similar guarantee, I would not have incurred these significant costs to diagnose an installation-related issue. read more

We were referred to Qualtech by Mitsubishi. From planning, to site survey, contract, and installation, the service and sales from the Qualtech office staff and the crew was excellent. Everyone was very responsive. We replaced our 50+ year-old central forced-air gas furnace. They installed a 30k BTU Mitsubishi Mini Split heat pump with three zones and completely demoed and removed the old furnace (more space in the basement!). Our installers, Elijah and Eddie, were punctual and neat, even while cutting and framing three ceiling holes for the ceiling cassette units (we preferred these to the typical older-style wall mounted min-split units) and we had no errant dust in the house. I never spent so much time writing a review. But this time I really have to because I am quite upset with the whole situation. Be very careful with this company. The tech who came to service our AC unit was terrible. He only show up about 10 mins and left, charged me $125. He didn't bother to thoroughly check and inspect the AC unit. He said the wires were not hooked up. I told him that the previous tech intentionally did that for safety issue. Then he said, I need to charge you for hooking up the wires again. Without hooking up the wires and check to see what exactly was wrong, he said you need to replace the whole unit. I asked what is wrong he said it's the compressor issue. So I asked how much is the compressor he told me $5000. When I called into the office next day, he told the office woman that it cost $5000 just for the labor cost, does not include the compressor. I googled the cost for compressor and labor, it's around $1200 to $3000 the most!!! But for sure not $5000 just the labor cost, that is insane!!!!! I also asked about the warranty, he told me that they don't do warranty job for Carrier. But they actually are an authorized dealer for Carrier, did he lied about that so the client do not bother to call the factory and ask about the warranty? Don't ever trust this company, their techs are pretty bad. They do not do a thorough job, they want to charge a lot and they are not honest, don't trust them at all! In response to the manager Myriam/Owner, she called me right after I posted my review on yelp. She was very rude on the phone as well. As a manager, she should ask me what happen and try to understand the situation, but NO she was accusing me of everything, and said I already reported you to the Carrier factory about your case, that the wires were all disassembled and their tech was not able to hook it up and and diagnose the issue. She kept yelling on the phone and not allowing me to talk and try to explain the situation but keep saying that I reported your case to Carrier. His tech clearly told me that they don't deal with any warranty work! Why in the world would I want to make this up and lied about this???????? It doesn't help me in anyway! That was ignorant of her! I never talk to any manager like this before. Didn't bother to understand the whole situation with their client but accusing their client for everything! Horrible customer service! read more

I was having a problem with my thermostat. When I sent info out via the Yelp app, they responded right away and had a technichian come out within a few hours of my initial call. The technician, Omar, was very knowledgable and friendly. He diagnosed the problem and we had a new thermostat installed the next day. I echo some of the negative reviews. Qualtech installed the ac units on our house. We are the second owners. The capacitor burned out, and the wire was noted to have melted. Typically this is due to a loose connection, likely from qualtechs initial install. The tech denied this, and even though they were the original installers, they would not honor the original labor warranty, instead wanting to charge $300 for a repair that takes 5 minutes. They were also refusing to obtain the part through warranty, and trying to pass the cost on to us. I attempted to speak to their office manager about this but she was terse, and showed little empathy. We ended up finding a company which performed the repair at half the cost. I would not recommend qualtech for the following reasons: 1. Poor initial workmanship on the original install 2. They do not stand by their labor 3. Pricing is not transparent 4. Poor customer service at middle management level. Given the plethora of choices in the area it is probably worth going with another company. read more

With kids and puppies who are heat-sensitive, a broken air conditioner on a week that was 100F-plus temps was considered an emergency. Qualtech was able to have someone come out the next day. I called over 5 places, and Qualtech responded the fastest. Francisco came out and worked on my unit. My A/C unit was old and needed replacement, but Francisco informed me of the various degrees of repairing it so that I could best evaluate what was best for my situation and budget. I don't think they are the lowest price but they are dependable, efficient and professional, which go a long way in my book when it comes to home service! I would use them again if I needed heating or A/C serviced. read more

After this review, the nice / well put together original sales person called, apologized, said the owner had seen it and asked to call and what they could do to make it right. I offered they either return to finish the job as the original contract described it or change the price to whatever not cleaning / re-sealing the bottom plenum connection should have cost. They said they would return and fix it and asked me to change the review to five stars. I said I would once they finish the work. He said the office would call me to schedule that, hung up, and I never heard from or saw them again. Again, they did decent work, that appears to have held up, but I do wish I had personally supervised the job a lot more closely. read more

I hired Qualtech last minute to install new ducts and upgrade a 75 year old furnace. Daniel was my contact and come up for an assessment and estimate. He communicated the issues and options very well and patiently and quickly sent over a proposal for a new system. Miriam was my office contact and she was very effective in handling scheduling and billing. The work was scheduled quickly and seamlessly. During install day, Daniel called me and said they noted there were no registers in any of the 3 bedrooms, and recommended adding 3 new registers. The change was approved for a reasonable price. I really appreciated their attention to detail and concern in making sure the new system would serve us well. The lead installer Abraham then took over communication, and he was nothing short of amazing. We communicated over the phone with sketches, photos, and video calls to discuss options for register locations. He was incredibly patient, knowledgeable and really seemed to care that we were happy with the result. They even cut out a cardboard template matching the grill sizes and sent over photos showing how registers would look. I would 100% go to Qualtech again for any HVAC needs. Update: 2 months after installation, Qualtech was able to help us complete the permit process AND apply for a rebate from Bayren for $1,250. On installation day, Leandro and Erie showed up on time and they were professional and polite. They were both so careful not to damage my walls and floor. Leandro focused on installing the furnace and Erie was busy replacing the exterior a/c condenser. They finished the job in 1 day. They took the old system and didn't leave any debris (and there was plenty debris). Erica, in the office, was helpful with scheduling the system inspection.
