This review is for their matcha and beignets. I only came here because I've heard it has good matcha. I got their signature Uji Matcha Tofu which consist of matcha with some silky tofu in it. By default it comes with oat milk. It turned out sweeter than I thought and much have preferred it less sweet. The tofu in it was nice and can easily be slurped up through the skinny straw. The actual matcha though didn't taste of high quality. It sure was not ceremonial or organic and the color was a dull darker color. The person I came with got their matcha coconut water drink. He said it was okay. We shared their beignets which the smallest size comes in a bag of 6 beignets. Some were powdered with sugar but some barely had any powdered sugar. I've been wanting to try this matcha tofu pudding for the LONGEST time. I loved how smooth the tofu pudding was and it was the perfect sweetness. Came here on a Thursday evening around 645pm. There was fortunately plenty of parking, so that wasn't an issue. Great plaza, good location in Little Saigon with plenty of other great Vietnamese businesses nearby. Ambiance - blends well with the Vietnamese culture scene, but still maintaining a nice clean classy and more modern aesthetic take to it. There are tables and chairs inside and outside too, so that's nice. Service - good, no complaints. I had a birthday reward I wanted to redeem. Note that Viland Coffee & Yummy Bakery are under the same owner, and the $5 Birthday Reward can only be redeemed once. This coffee & tea shop is a good place to hang out and study as there are a fair amount of tables, with pretty good and reasonably priced drinks. My drink came out in good time too. I tried their new coconut matcha. It was less than $7, which is a "steal" nowadays. The coconut water was good and the matcha foam was too. I got the foam at half sweet and I think that it was a good middle between maintaining matcha's bitterness and having some sweetness. Unfortunately, my low rating is due to their sanitation. I went to use the restroom, where they were out of soap. I let a worker know . I studied here for a few more hours then went to use the restroom once more before I left. The soap dispenser was now full but barely worked and what came out did not lather. This is because they had replaced the soap dispenser with hand sanitizer. Very unsanitary for it to not be real soap and then considering some of the workers probably wash their hands here then prepare food and drink. read more

Was very rich in flavor, and has the typical boldness I absolutely love in a Vietnamese coffee. The one critique I have about their serving size is that my drink had way too much ice in it. It felt like my drink was 70% ice and 30% drink, which didn't allow me to enjoy my coffee fully since I finished it so quickly. It doesn't make or break my decision about coming back to the coffee shop though. They do have other pastries and drinks I would love to try.
