    Banh cuon trung thap cam
    Brianna C.

Great experience ordering to-go from this restaurant. Service was so good, the lady helping me was very patient as I had no clue what to order and I asked her what the most popular dish is. The menu has stars next to what's recommended. I decided on the banh cuon trung thap cam, and it came with quite a lot! Rice rolls filled with shrimp, rice rolls filled with ground pork (I believe it was pork), rice rolls filled with egg, mushroom, and ground pork, one egg roll, fried sweet potatoes, some type of bread-like item, some ham/spam-like meats, some veggies (bean sprouts, mint, etc.), and of course the fish sauce! The place was busy when I came, which is always a good sign. Would recommend you check it out. And the lady gave me a drink on the house! It tasted like chrysanthemum tea. And I got a discount for paying with cash! Always a bonus!

First time trying banh cuon and it's so good! The egg banh cuon is not as good as the regular one. I like the sides it comes with more than the banh cuon itself. When you get a bite of each item together, it works wonders. My favorite Vietnamese breakfast spot!

I grabbed a quick bite here before my flight back home. The staff are super friendly and sweet. They are all so efficient in ensuring a fast table turnover. The portions and price point here are great. A wide array of dishes (Bánh Cuon, Banh uot, bún noodle soup, bun Bo hue, banh canh, bún kho). I ordered the Bánh bèo Chen $9.99 and Bánh Cuon dac biet $14.99 and left full & satisfied. Honestly loved my visit and food. No complaints!

Stopped by Banh Cuon Thanh Tri and had a great experience. I believe this location is the original and recently expanded a couple miles away on Bolsa, as well. The banh cuon (steamed rice sheets) was fresh, delicate, and packed with flavor. The rice rolls could be plain or stuffed with ground pork. You could also choose to have the rice rolls fried in egg. I highly recommend this preparation. It's often topped with steamed meat, fried sweet potatoes with shrimp and garnished with lots of veggies (e.g, julienne style of cucumber, carrots, lettuce and mints). The dipping sauce complements the dish perfectly. What I also like is dine-in all gets a cup of sweet herbal tea. It's so good and refreshing! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The tables are tightly packed together so you're very close, like an elbow away, from the next table.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was friendly and the food came out quickly. If you're looking for authentic Vietnamese comfort food, this spot is definitely worth a visit. I'll be back to try more items on the menu!

Banh ut was fresh and it had a good texture too. Not too thick or thin. We added the toppings we liked and they were able to accommodate. Egg rolls were good too with a full plate of lettuce and pickled veggies for wrapping. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They were busy for a midday weekday.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Food is served quickly.

    Don't think twice.

If I had one dish, it would be banh cuon!" (Inspired by Ray J) Seriously if you have one Vietnamese dish outside of spring rolls and pho. Have it be this please. This restaurant here by far has the best presentation for Banh cuon (rice paper rolls). Let me tell you what you are getting if you order the combo. 1) Rice Roll with eggs and ground pork 2) Fried sweet potato 3) Eggrolls 4) Vietnamese ham 5) Bean sprouts and cucumber 6) Eggroll It is so much food and so delicious. Also the service is so great all the servers are very attentive and have a positive attitude. [[HIGHLIGHT]]In addition the restaurant is very clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Did i mention you get a complimentary chrysanthemum tea with free refills. I highly recommend.

This is my go to banh cuon and banh canh spot. It's always packed during the brunch hours, so make sure you go early. Might have to wait for a table because there's only about 10 tables in total. Food comes out fast and the staff is fast and attentive. The nuoc mat is a nice touch to your morning meal. I always get the banh cuon dac biet and a banh canh cua tom. Both servings are huge and the price is decent less than $20. The banh canh has a lot of crab and shrimp in it.

This restaurant has delicious banh cuon with generous portions!! I love the variety of toppings including fried yam, eggrolls, pork, veggies. I came on Sunday around lunch time and it was packed with a line outside - ordered to go which took about 20 minutes to prep my order and they also added in an herbal jelly drink. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It can feel a bit chaotic inside because there's so many people and it's a smaller walkway through but the food is so good!![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

My favorite place to get bánh cuốn! Go early because there will always be a wait on the weekend. Parking is a hit or miss in this plaza. My go to order is the bánh cuốn đặc biệt with the mixed rice rolls and all the fixings. I recently tried the egg bánh cuốn and it was very tasty! And they were always give free herbal tea, which pairs well with the meal. The servers are quick and always friendly.

This was our first time trying this place, and we were very impressed. The portions were generous, and everything we ordered was delicious. The bánh bèo was excellent, and the gỏi cuốn tôm thịt chả cá was fun and unique to try. My favorite dish was the bánh cuốn thịt, it was absolutely delicious. The customer service was outstanding. If I could give the ladies who served us 10 stars, I would! They were friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant quickly filled up shortly after we arrived, which says a lot about its popularity.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Next time, I plan to come back and try their Bún bò Huế.

I was craving some Banh cuon and saw this pop up as a yelp recommendation. I choose it since it was close by to where I was running errands. I ended up putting an order on yelp since I wanted to be productive. But my was I wrong the wait time for Friday lunch time it was packed! I was wondering well this better be worth the 30-40min extra wait time. After waiting for a bit I took my order straight home to eat and WOW. Such a soft Banh cuon everything was well balanced from the fried mung bean cake, sweet potato fritter, steam pork roll, & fish cake. One of the most softest and yummy Banh cuon I've ever had! I recommend ordering wayyy ahead if you're in stone crunch. This place is now on my list to visit whenever I'm in OC again.

The chicken was crispy and the dipping sauce gave it that extra yummy goodness. The dish also came with a side of broth that had chicken bits in it, was nice to help digest your dish. I also loved that they gave you pickled veggies & fresh veggies. We also ordered the Loi's Fusion Saltado, upgraded the rice to garlic egg fried rice. The beef was soft and tender, the fries were nice and crispy and the fried rice was fresh. You 100% need to get the Thai Tea. A lot of place add too much cream/half and half diluting the tea flavor, they do not skimp on the actual tea in their drink. The color speaks for itself on the dark orange hue!

I'm a bit late getting around to writing this, and unfortunately, they are already closed, but I still felt like I had to share my experience. I'm not completely surprised that they closed, especially after trying their bò né. I've had this dish many times at different places around Orange County, and unfortunately, this was probably the weakest version I've come across. The first thing that stood out was the presentation. As you can see in the picture, there was this purple-colored sauce on the meat itself, which honestly did not look very appetizing. To make things worse, the sauce was cold and did not heat in time with the skillet, which really took away from the experience. The flavor itself wasn't terrible, but it also wasn't anything memorable. It was just okay, and when you factor in the cold food and the presentation, it made the whole dish disappointing. With so many places around Orange County serving bò né at a much higher level, I would probably recommend spending your money elsewhere. If you were wondering whether you missed out on some hidden gem, don't worry, you didn't. This one felt more like a piece of coal than a diamond. That being said, every restaurant has its journey, and with more time, maybe they could have found their footing. Hopefully, they can take this experience as a lesson, refine their recipes, and bring something better in their next venture. I am rooting for you Loi!

Be prepared: this place is incredibly popular, especially during peak hours. Parking can definitely be challenging because of how busy it is. The last time I visited on a Monday, the lot was completely full, and I ended up parking on the street. The restaurant is also primarily cash only, so come prepared. They open early, making it a perfect breakfast spot for an early bowl of pho. The pho broth is exactly what I want when I'm craving comfort food--clean, flavorful, and incredibly soothing. However, the star of the meal for me was the chả giò. Wow. Although they arrived after our pho, they came out at the perfect temperature. I was hesitant to take a bite right away because freshly fried food usually burns my mouth, but these were just right. Crispy, airy, savory, and absolutely delicious. Paired with their fish sauce, it was perfection. I enjoyed the egg rolls so much that next time I'm definitely ordering the egg roll vermicelli bowl. Service was friendly and prompt despite how busy it was, and it's clear the staff works hard to keep things moving. One thing I love is seeing all of the awards and accolades displayed on the walls. Phở 79 received the prestigious James Beard America's Classics Award, and it's easy to understand why after one meal here. This restaurant is truly an Orange County icon. The restaurant will soon be moving to a new location, as signs throughout the restaurant announce the upcoming move.
