Tried restaurant for the first time at the recommendation of a foodie friend. This restaurant is known for their chicken glass noodles. It comes with an accompanying salad, which was refreshing and tasty. Don't forget to dip the chicken in their delish ginger fish sauce! You can have the chicken chopped (w/bone) or shredded (boneless). The soup broth was flavorful but I didn't care for the texture of the noodle, was a bit too thick for my liking. My husband had their chicken rice. He thought it was ok, nothing too spectacular.

Was looking for a goi ga and found this on Yelp! Came for a late dinner, it wasnt too crowded. It was located in the Hanoi plaza They gave us a small bowl of fish sauce right when we sat. They have sliced garlic, fresh chili paste, and pickled onions on the table. I only tasted the fish sauce and garlic while I was waiting and that was so good. Their fish sauce was sweet. We ordered the chicken salad (goi ga) with rice and sticky rice and a size of gizzard. The salad with rice/sticky rice was about $15.75 each. The gizzard came in a soup broth ($2) We had choice of white, dark, or mixed meat. You can pick chopped or shredded. I went with dark and shredded. The veggies were fresh and it was a good portion. A bit too much fish sauce and on the sweeter side but still delicious. Would def come back
Came here for dinner and had such a great experience. I ordered the miến gà khô and it was so yummy! The noodles were perfectly chewy and the chicken broth that came with it was warm, flavorful, and super comforting. The chicken was also really good quality; tender, flavorful, and didn't feel dry at all. You can tell they use good ingredients and care about the food. Service was excellent too. Everything came out quickly, and the manager was incredibly friendly. He stopped by a couple of times to check on us and make sure everything tasted good, which made the experience feel extra welcoming. If you're craving miến gà done right, this place is a must. I was skeptical but my friend loves this place. I was blown away by how much I enjoyed it! The broth was light and clean. The side of cabbage, onions, with the chicken on the plate, the dressing over it, sooooooo frigging good and refreshing. It's rare when an establishment deserves a perfect score. Great service and casual vibes. I will be back!

Unlimited porridge!! Why not? The service here was really friendly. They talked to us like we're family or friends lol don't get it wrong tho, they were nice. Not rude at all. We ordered the porridge with chicken, rice noodles soup with chicken, and a rice chicken plate. The total was about $50ish with tips- complimentary Nuoc Sam (Vietnamese herbal tea). The porridge was yummy. It was on the saltier side. I believe it was $12 or so. It came with a small plate of chicken with some pickled greens. We requested for no onions. The portion of chicken was pretty small. However, if it was $12 a bowl then, i guess it wasn't that bad. It wasn't the regular kind of chickens we normally get. It was marinated with the sauce from the greens. So the chicken was a bit sweet. Some may not like it this way. I thought it was pretty good. I just didnt like the fact that the chicken plate was more bones than meats. They did allow us to choose how we wanted our chicken. Like chopped, shredded or etc. I guess we should have ordered shredded chicken (no bones). The staff came by and asked us if we wanted more porridge. It was a pretty big bowl so I didnt get more. Actually, i couldn't even finish mine lol it wasn't a lie tho...they do offer unlimited porridge. NOT unlimited chicken ok! Lol The chicken noodle soup had a good amount of noodles. However, the portion of chicken was very little as well. I didnt try the chicken noodle soup, but there was no complaint. So it must be good or alright. The chicken rice plate portion was small as well. I tried a bit of the rice and the flavor of rice was good. It was cooked perfectly. When I crave some porridge, I would drop by here.
I came next door for dinner but they only had duck and no chicken left for the day. Looked up on Yelp and found this restaurant literally next door. Great, I'm coming over! Ordered the glass noodles soup with bamboo shoots and lean chicken breast. It comes with a side of salad. But the salad doesn't have any cabbage like other places. Only pickled sliced onions (which I opted out) with some chopped herbs. I requested shredded chicken breast with no skin and they followed instructions exactly as ordered. The glass noodles soup was piping hot and delicious, so was the chicken breast. Just need a bit more meat. I got like 3 ounces of protein most. Service was excellent. They are all very nice there, from servers to owner. The owner was very pleasant and quick at bringing what the kitchen missed.
One of my go to's now! The restaurant is spacious and the staff are attentive. The owner/manager (?) is very friendly making the experience each time we come great. My family and I go here almost once every week. I get the Mien Ga Kho with shredded chicken (thigh) and salad. They have pho, com, and xoi too. The flavor of their gỏi is different from other chicken shops in OC and it's reminiscent of the one I had in Viet Nam. It's refreshing and has kind of almost an addictive taste to it. The amount of chicken kind of varies every time we come, but I'm always full so it's okay! They used to have free sam drinks, but now it's $2 ): If you love Vietnamese style chicken, I recommend trying this place out!
The owner is one of a kind. He is the most attentive owner I've ever met so even if they messed up your order or forgot something, the way the owner solved it would definitely make it better for you. The portion size of every order here is impressive. I tried all of the dishes they offer and ended up picking sticky rice and rice to be the best. Not that their noodles aren't good but their sticky rice and rice are one of the best in town. The only downside of the restaurant is it might get ramped up easily but they always have the AC on so it's not that big of a problem. The parking isn't fun if you come in during lunch time or weekend
The best Mien Ga in town from service to the food itself! - Food: It is delicious, though Gỏi gà missing some cabbages ( hopefully it'd improve) but they have dry option which this the only place that I know that has it! I'm mad at myself for forgetting to take photos of the dish - Service: The owner's hospitality is the reason why my mom wanted to try out, we were in between this restaurant and the other one near the area but we chose this one to try out because the owner was sitting in front and having bright smile welcome us so why not try? The waiters are a bit down energy but it's okay maybe the weather just hot - Ambiance: Cozy, nice and clean inside! I like the decoration gives it calm and luxury feeling. I will come back here again for some more!
Hands down the best pho ga I have had for a while! Both dried and wet are great! I love that I don't feel thirsty after drinking up all their soup, so I assume they don't put much or there is no MSG in their soup. The chicken salad is a must have when you order your noodle dish! Made me feel like I was back eating in Vietnam here. Can't wait to come back!

The sticky rice is cooked with a delicious hint of coconut milk! Each grain was nice and chewy and went really well with the salad, resulting in an almost a sweet and salty combination with the fish sauce dressing (not the one on the side). Dined here after getting back from a trip! I ordered the mien ga, my mom ordered the bun vit, and my sister ordered the pho ga. I love hot soup, so the broth was very comforting. Each entree came with goi ga, and it was so much! We ended up having two of them packed for takeout. First time here and I enjoyed it. I'm a huge pho ga and goi ga fan so when my friend wanted to try this place since we are in OC, sure, let's. Upon sitting down with the menu, they provide a small dish with sliced wedges of orange. We had to ask if that was palette cleanser and it was. Never seen such but sure. My friend did the dry mien with fried chicken. This dish had l kinds of flavors. It was good to me. The bowl of broth on the side is needed as the sauces are pretty thick and rich. I had the pho ga with goi ga. Goi ga was amazing. A side plate of chopped dark meat chicken in a Vietnamese vinaigrette dressing. I enjoyed it. The pho ga was not flavorful to me. I had better. Like most Vietnamese restaurants, Ghien Mien Ga has a limited menu as it specializes in a few house special dishes. As the name suggests, this restaurant's focus is Vietnamese chicken glass noodles soup (mien ga). They also serve chicken pho (pho ga) as well as chicken with sticky rice or regular rice. The menu seems intimating but it's quite simple: 1. you choose your dish (glass noodles dry or soup, pho dry or soup, rice) 2. decide if you want your chicken shredded or chopped 3. then you either have your chicken plain or in salad form which is marinated in herbs, onions and vinegar The inside is small but still clean and bright. It was very packed on a Tuesday at 11am but service was still top notch and the food came out quickly. We ended up ordering the chicken glass noodles (mien ga) and chicken pho (pho ga) both with soup and shredded chicken salad. The soup broths were both delicious (and different!) clear and seasoned to perfection. The glass noodles were on the thicker side a slightly chewy while the pho came with fresh wide rice noodles. The chicken salad was some of the best I've had in a restaurant; the chicken was so tasty marinated in the vinegary white onions, culantro, tarragon and topped with a mountain of friend shallots. It didn't even need the extra fish sauce/ginger dipping sauce that traditionally comes with the dish. I urge you to give this place a try as I think mien ga is truly an underrated and lesser known Vietnamese dish! read more

First time trying this restaurant. It's somewhat new. We heard good things from word of mouth and decided to give it a try. Popular for the mien ga, chicken glass soup. What made me really wanted try this spot was they had a dry version of the mien ga. It turned out to be really good. You have the option to get it with only chicken or chicken salad. Definitely recommend the chicken salad version. It was refreshing. You can also pick from shredded chicken or chopped chicken. Also comes with a ginger dipping sauce. They have other condiments on the side. No need to add since it's flavorful already. The pickled garlic was good. They also have pho ga, rice and xoi. Free nuoc sam - herbal ice tea read more
The menu is really simple and the food is yummy. I got the number 1. Glass noodle and soupy, with shredded chicken (they offer shredded or chopped). I think this is the best one. The soup is nourishing without being too salty. My baby liked it so it's a plus in my book. My friend got the number 2. It's basically the same but with dry noodle. She told me this is what they're famous for. I liked it, but I liked the soupy one better. The hubby got number 3. It's flavored rice with fried chicken. Well he finished it all without sharing, so I guess it was good. He also finished the soda chanh (lime soda) without sharing, so I guess it was really good. I saw the che (some grass jelly dessert) on display, so we got that too. It was something nice and sweet to end my meal. Not too heavy. Place was clean and staffs were really nice. read more
Takeout review! Sooo good flavor bomb.com. its on the salty side of vietnamese food but very hearty and would be great to replenish electrolytes. Order came out to around $18 with tax n all. They're known for a DRY glass noodle dish with chicken (soup on side), if you like hainan chicken think of a more umami vietnamese cousin of it. They specialize specifically in these so don't expect anything else. I got the sticky rice chicken salad (6. Xoi ga xe phay). All of the entrees come with a little package of onion + herbs and dressing so I'd highly recommend 7. Instead which is bone in chicken. Its like the small bone cornish game hen tender chicken. But the fried chicken looked beautifully crispy and brown (not breaded). My chicken was tight and tender w/chew, boneless (like salt/hainan chicken/cold dish texture) It isn't a value portion, but enough to make a pretty plate. The sauce it comes with is a garlic fish sauce vinegrette, super pungent, salty, sweet, umami, w/ a citrus aftertaste Perfect. They also give a side of birds eye chili. The salad dressing has a medicinal fruit taste and is more on the sweet and sour side, and the onions were cut fresh and nicely. The side soup is a huge punch of salty clear broth, its more refreshing/hydrating and flavorful than depth/ creamy like bone broth. The sticky rice has a slight coconut flavor and is oiled well. I love vietnamese like sweet and salty flavors so the combination of everything was a banger for me, just so many flavor profiles in my mouth that mix well. They have numbers on the menu so its easy to order! Order number 2 house special if you are unsure. Our food was made fast too. read more
For it being next to another spot that has mien ga, this spot is doing well. Broth needs to be worked on a tad bit , but if you like the broth sweeter than you would like this place. It's part of the "Ghien" chain. The staff is friendly and very accommodating. The setup of is your typical, nothing fancy, very basic what you'd expect from your typical hole in the wall traditional style. Food-decent but it's not "wow" like their other establishments. We ordered the sticky rice, steamed chicken, pho, and "mien". All was decent but the flavoring/taste was just alright. Maybe it's because they just opened a couple days when we came and they did tell us they are still perfecting their recipe. read more

This restaurant is very brave to open next to Bún Vịt Thanh Đa. The wait process was very poorly managed. You have to put your name on a waitlist, but because the restaurant is new, the management was chaotic. There was no staff controlling the waiting list, so you basically had to stand there, watch for an open table, and grab it yourself. I waited about 30 minutes and then noticed that people who arrived after me were already seated, so I went in and realized it was more of a first come, first served situation. Overall, the service experience and portion size were disappointing, so I will not be coming back. I ordered xôi with gỏi gà, and both were pretty good. When you order, they ask whether you want bone in or boneless, and I chose boneless. However, I noticed there was not much meat with the boneless option, which made me feel a bit scammed for the price they are charging. It was $32 per person before tip, and when I paid with a credit card they added a fee, bringing it to around $35. I would say it is not worth it. Even though the flavors were unique and good, tasting more like Northern Vietnamese cuisine, which is different from places like Bún Vịt Thanh Đa, I still did not really like this restaurant. read more
Dined here with my mom for lunch Parking might be difficult as located in small strip lot. There are other areas you can park and walk on over. I ordered the mien ga and while my had the pho ga. Mien Ga with up charge of 1.50 for gizzards, liver , and heart. You do get copious amount of chicken and innards. The broth is good and noodles were cooked perfectly. No broth left after devouring the bowl. I sampled my mom's pho ga broth which was quite different in taste from the norm. Condiment station is well stocked. Host at cashier station mentioned new menu offerings next week. I'm hoping fried chicken can be substituted with broth entrees. read more

Foods is fine, something hot for the winter. Service is ok, ambiance is fine. One big problem is the service fee for using credit card. See receipt for more details. I found a service fee called (non-cash adjustment) on my receipt so I ask the cashier what is the fees for and she replied its for not using cash as a payment (motherflower!) This is very unacceptable business practices. Will not come back. read more

Service is super fast. Small but nice and clean. Staff are friendly. Noodle soup is hot to the end. To my taste the soup is little salty but I added some lemon so it's good. Love the jar of garlic pickle on the table. read more

Probably one of my top favorite places to go for mien ga or pho ga. The chicken is very tender and soft. I ordered the thigh with bone tossed in the goi ga dressing. Very aromatic and delicious. It's a small hole in wall restaurant with great service. They served me right away with no wait. I went here twice. Ordered both the mien or pho option. Broth is very clean and aromatic. I love the pickled garlic and fresh chili condiments on the side. read more
First time trying mien ga kho (dry glass noodles with chicken) with soup on the side. It was good and interesting. I always go for the glass noodles soup but I'm glad I gave the dry version a try. You have the option of getting it with a salad or no salad (why would you not right?) and whether you want the chicken chopped or shredded. I read some of the reviews complained they were still hungry after eating. Did they review the wrong restaurant? Because I was already full half way into the meal and was having a hard time trying to finish all the food. The noodles didn't look a lot when it first came out but it was A LOT. I guess there's also option if you want thin or thick noodles for more chewy texture. They didn't ask me but mine was the chewy glass noodles. I thought they were good but needed a little more flavor so I added garlic and chili and a little bit of the soup to separate the noodles since they were kind of stuck together. I'm so glad they have shredded chicken option so I didn't have to use my hands to eat the chicken. The salad was probably the best part of the meal. It came with a lot of onions and herbs. They also give free herbal drink that is very refreshing. If you're not hungry, I think this meal can be shared. It was a lot for me. I did manage to finish it all though, but then I was so full to walk to my car and so full I couldn't get out of the car when I got home! Hahaha read more
Newly Opened on April 1st 2025. They have been super Duper busy every day ever since especially during lunch time rush. Fresh delicious healthy free range chicken with either mung beans noodles or rice noodles but ultimately it's their flavorful chicken bone broth and house salad with onions that keep customers coming here again and again. Family owned and friendly staff make this chicken noodles bar the top winner in town for fresh flavorful chicken. Small restaurant but definitely worth the wait and delicious food made to order daily with many people take home orders for dinner tonight. Since we had Ghiền Mì Gõ the night before, we decided to try Ghiền Miến Gà for brunch -- and we're so glad we did! We ordered a variety of dishes, and every single one was delicious. The flavors were spot on, and everything tasted fresh and well-prepared. The owner was incredibly friendly, and we even had a nice little chat with her. That's when we learned that all the "Ghiền" restaurants are part of the same chain -- which makes sense, given the consistent quality. It's a small place, but it's neat and nicely set up, with a cozy and welcoming vibe. We truly enjoyed our experience and will definitely be back! read more

When we visited for dinner, they were still in their soft opening so we ran into a few issues with being seated. That was quickly resolved, but the main highlight of the experience was definitely the food! We ordered the dry noodles with the chicken salad which also came with a bowl of side soup and a dipping sauce for the chicken. We also ordered the sticky rice with the steamed chicken as well. The dry noodles were deliciously dressed in sauce and the chicken salad was really refreshing. We ended up full from the noodles so had to take the sticky rice to go. This is definitely more of your mom and pop type of place, but you really can't beat the prices here these days too. A bowl of noodles with chicken was only 13.99! read more
