I'll have to also mention the terrible parking situation, but that's always the case on bolsa in little Saigon. -value, at $16-17 a bowl I expected more. It was very packed on a Tuesday at 11am but service was still top notch and the food came out quickly. We ended up ordering the chicken glass noodles (mien ga) and chicken pho (pho ga) both with soup and shredded chicken salad. The soup broths were both delicious (and different!) clear and seasoned to perfection. The glass noodles were on the thicker side a slightly chewy while the pho came with fresh wide rice noodles. The chicken salad was some of the best I've had in a restaurant; the chicken was so tasty marinated in the vinegary white onions, culantro, tarragon and topped with a mountain of friend shallots. It didn't even need the extra fish sauce/ginger dipping sauce that traditionally comes with the dish. This restaurant is very brave to open next to Bún Vịt Thanh Đa. The wait process was very poorly managed. You have to put your name on a waitlist, but because the restaurant is new, the management was chaotic. There was no staff controlling the waiting list, so you basically had to stand there, watch for an open table, and grab it yourself. I waited about 30 minutes and then noticed that people who arrived after me were already seated, so I went in and realized it was more of a first come, first served situation. Overall, the service experience and portion size were disappointing, so I will not be coming back. I ordered xôi with gỏi gà, and both were pretty good. When you order, they ask whether you want bone in or boneless, and I chose boneless. However, I noticed there was not much meat with the boneless option, which made me feel a bit scammed for the price they are charging. I read some of the reviews complained they were still hungry after eating. Did they review the wrong restaurant? Because I was already full half way into the meal and was having a hard time trying to finish all the food. The noodles didn't look a lot when it first came out but it was A LOT. I guess there's also option if you want thin or thick noodles for more chewy texture. They didn't ask me but mine was the chewy glass noodles. First time trying Ghien mien ga. It's a small cozy little restaurant. We came around lunch time and was seated right away. Hubby ordered the mien ga with broth and I ordered the Dry mien ga. Both were very flavorful. Chicken was fresh and moist. We ordered a side dish of the chicken innards too but forgot to snap a pic of it. That dish was decent, but not on my have to order again menu. These days it's hard to find a place that serves a good meal at a decent price like here. So we will definitely be coming back for more:) read more

This place sells chicken pho and vermicelli, but when I arrived at 7:30 p.m., they told me they were already out of chicken. That makes no sense. Chicken is one of the most basic ingredients for a restaurant like this, so running out that early shows poor planning and bad management. I honestly do not understand how they stay in business if they cannot even keep the basics in stock. read more
