I recently went with a group of friends to the Quarry Park Adventures and we had a blast! We only did the 2 hour ticket but we definitely could've spent more time there. We had so much fun doing the zip line over to the ropes course. From there our group split into the hard and medium ropes courses. We then did a portion of the via feratta course. We ended our time with some of us doing the rappel and some doing the rock climbing. My favorite things we did were probably the ropes course and the zip lining. The via feratta was cool to try but super slow when you're going through with a group. I'd definitely recommend checking out the Quarry Park Adventures and I'm sure we'll be back in the future. read more

Oh how I would have loved to give this place 5 stars but one specific employee had to ruin that. Before partaking in any activities, the staff has you prove that you can safely use your Belay clipping system. I 1000% respect this and understand if you aren't capable of doing so, then you can't climb. However the female employee that was supposed to be educating and helping us with this was on some weird power trip. Let me make something extremely clear, I have never climbed in my life and there is A-LOT of information that this facility expects you to retain in a very small amount of time. This female employee (shorter slim girl with dark hair) saw I was making mistakes and instead of showing me some patience and offering constructive criticism was just offering the criticism part. Every time I make a mistake, she would remind me I wouldn't climb with such a condescending tone. Oh and twice she threw a piece of my clipping system onto the ground, it's like why damage it to prove your point? I looked over at my sister like are you seeing this?! Keep in mind the park was dead so there was no reason for her to be so frazzled. Her behavior was so gross I told my sister I'm done and if my sister didn't want my spot I was getting a refund for us all and we take our business somewhere else. My sister politely asked this female employee to step aside for a second and my sister explained it to me in such a more simplified manner! I hope this employee and the manager sees this so others who go in the future can be treated with more dignity. It was embarrassing experience. At the end of the day we're paying this facility to have a fun time, not want to leave because they have an employee can't learn some manners. On the other hand I want to give a special shout out to the staff who was running the zip line and the rock climbing wall today! Janelle is a kickass employee with a great attitude. Wanted to do something different for my birthday this year so decided to checkout this place. Booked a reservation online for Saturday morning at 9am. 2 hours all access. If book in advance, you get 10% off. Got there before 9 and checked in at the ticket office. They weighed me and then gave me a wristband. I rented a locker for $5. After that, went to the harness/ training area. The training started at 9. The staffs helped everyone put on and secured the harnesses. Then we were walked to the area where we learn how to clip onto the robes and cables. We got a chance to practice too before we were on our own. In the beginning, it was a lot to remember but once I started, it got easier. The staffs were already if need any assistance. They wear white helmets so easy to spot. The whole training was about 20-30 minutes. First course, my friend and I did zip line. It was scary at first but once I lifted my legs up, it was totally fun. It glides so fast that I didn't want it to end yet haha! There was a bump towards the end so be prepared for that. After that, we did the easy level of the aerial adventure. It was easy but kinda scary at the same time. I went slowly because I didn't want to lose my balance. Also because I'm afraid of heights. Lastly, I tried out rock climbing for the first time ever. Since it was my first time, I wanted to try one of the shortest levels. Going up was not bad but coming back down was a challenge for me. I slipped and my whole back hit against the wall and got scraped. The staff made sure I was ok and helped me. It was funny and embarrassing at the same time lol. All the staffs there were very nice and helpful. My friend fell ill during midway and one of the staffs came to her rescue. She was so sweet. It was a nice experience overall. I'm knocking down a star because of the $4.50 charge for 'new' gloves. It is a required fee but I didn't even have to use it. Plus, the gloves are used and dirty. Quarry Park Adventures - Climbing course - Amusement Parks Near Me - Rocklin, California

I had some terrible experiences at Quarry Park but also some redeeming moments. I went with my wife and kid for my kid's 8th birthday. We got on one of the aerial adventure courses and at some point, my kid and wife were having difficulty getting the safety clip from one spot to the other. She put the ring key into his safety clip (she didn't force anything) to try to detach him from a line that seemed like it didn't have enough slack and then the clip became unattached to anything. At that point, my kid was on a tiny platform, 25 feet in the air, NOT ATTACHED TO A THING. We got him reattached quickly but needless to say, it a was a very dangerous situation and it spooked me and my kid. This is clearly a serious matter given that someone could seriously injure themselves or die. Nevertheless, we proceeded along the course and got to the end in which we would attach to cable, walk off a platform, and then have the cable slowly lower us down. But my kid was scared given the previous incident with the clip and was reluctant to walk off that platform. He took a while to muster up the courage to go, and the folks behind us were very understanding and patiently waiting. But then a Quarry Park staff member (who's name I found out later was Scotty) came over and aggressively said, "there are people waiting, if you don't jump off that platform, I'm going to push you off!" My kid jumped off right away but was pissed, scared, crying, and needed a long time to calm down. And I don't blame him for it. I was pissed too! I ask Scotty for his name and he told me it was Dave. So he not only scared the crap out of my kid, he also lied straight to my face. I told Scotty that he should never talk to kids or anyone that way and that it was not okay to scare people like that. I also ended up speaking to various other staff and managers about it, and for the most part, they were very apologetic and professional. The course manager on site was a bit dismissive and simply said, okay, I'll talk to him about it. But the operations director and other supervisors seemed quite disconcerted by Scottie's behavior and were willing to work with me to make things right. Ultimately, they gave me a full refund, gave my kid a free pass to play in the Kidz Kove (which he liked), and ensured to me that they were going to take the matter seriously. After the initial incidents, my kid did not want to go back to the quarry area but after playing in the Kidz Kove, he actually said that he wanted to go back to the quarry area and do another aerial adventure course! At that point, a staffer named Steven stayed with us the whole time and made sure everything went really smoothly. He was an exceptional presence and really helped turn the day around for us. read more

What I great way to do something fun and different with the kids. We only came to do the zip line. We had to make the reservation ahead of time and pay for it in advance. When we got there we were supposed to just get geared up but instead no one came out to get us we ended up having to wait extra 30 minutes. It was really quick. And a great way to introduce zip lining so later we can have bigger adventures. We plan on coming back next time for the two hour pass. read more

I will be reviewing the Quarry Park adventures in comparison to Tahoe aerial treetop adventures. First off, Tahoe treetop is a series of obstacles passing built at a high level (~20-30 feet above ground) spanning across the 74-acre land park vs Quarry Park adventures take place in a slightly deep and narrow valley of probably around 1-2 acre park, so much smaller and lower. With Tahoe treetop, the cost is $73 plus tax= $80 for 2.5 hours of aerial obstacle passing and zip-lining vs Quarry park cost is $85 plus tax and booking fee = $95 per person for 4 hours of 6 challenging courses, mainly 2 hours of zip line and free fall and 2 hours of real and strenuous rock climbing upward and downward. We are a group of 6 kids with age ranging from 10 to 19 years old (yo) and 2 of the 16-year old boys gave up early bc of hunger and tiredness, but the other 4 kids including one 10-yo girl, 12-yo girl and 12-yo boy finished the entire 4-hour challenging course and found it epic-ly fun and unique experiences that they would love to do again. I would mark down 1/2-1 star for customer service as they are not as good, attentive or caring as the one in Tahoe. It was worth our trip. It was our first time and had a blast! The kids were so happy for this adventure especially with the limitations of what can be done nowadays. Staff were exceptional-- very approachable, encouraging and nice! They will make sure you know what to do before heading to your first experience. There is enough parking. They give away bottled water. We ordered online for a four hour access but changed to two hour access when we got onsite. It was not a hassle. We also added a paddle boat ride. Note- maximum allowable weight is 250 lbs. Companions can just watch and not have to pay. I suggest, get there after eating a heavy meal and take the 4 hour access. We didn't get to do wall climbing and experience every corner of the adventure area. Also, they provide gloves and you'll have to wear masks. They make you feel safe and comfortable. EDIT: General Manager called me to discuss feedback. They do have ways of getting you down if absolutely necessary. They plan to add shade overhead. They will be updating their system so it's more user friendly- BUT it will not be on a roller which is still my biggest complaint. I also mentioned adding emergency ropes so a guide could help swing a stuck person to the next point which he said he would look into. I dislike giving less than 4-5 star reviews but here is why. Every year for my birthday I usually go up to Tahoe and do the Treetop Adventure courses, when I saw this one was opened in Rocklin I was really excited since it is a lot closer. However after my experience there I don't think I'll be back. For reference we booked about a month in advance and you cannot get a refund if less than 7 days from your appointment. So we didn't know it was going to be hotter than hell until closer to the reservation. Also didn't know that it is 10-15 degrees hotter in the quarry than on the street level. Started gearing up at 10am with a seemingly irritated teenager, no biggie. But the clips/carabiners situation that this park has are absolutely horrific to use. Instead of what Tahoe does where you hook your rolling zipline thingamajigger onto the metal cables above you and it's all one single track, this place has a time consuming double sided carabiner so that you're constantly having to clip in- lock- unclip from the other side, for every single transition. So you do an obstacle, then clip in & lock to the platform and unclip from obstacle 1, then do the whole process over to clip into obstacle 2. It takes forever, is tedious and irritating. Second part- which is the dangerous part. Rocklin has these carabiners going along on metal wire but NOT on rollers. Meaning, if you are physically unable to complete part of the obstacle or you fall off the obstacle, you are fighting your weight and friction in order to pull yourself to the other side. Since you are NOT on a roller it is super easy to get yourself stuck. Unlike Tahoe- this place doesn't currently have emergency ropes to swing you to the next station. They can get you down if absolutely necessary, but ideally they won't interfere, leaving you on your own unless you want an embarrassing and more risky rescue. So doing this in 105+ degrees, I got stuck, got heat sickness and almost passed out. We geared up at 10am, wasn't able to even start the course until 1045, and by 1130 when we finished the first course decided to leave- effectively wasting all our money. I do think that for the safety of people, the quarry should be shut down if over 100. They offer hot water bottles around the course, there is no shade and it's just not worth it. This might be fun in the winter but without the safety precautions and putting the carabiners on rollers- I'd 100% rather make the drive to Tahoe instead. read more

My partner took me here for my birthday and overall it was fun. We did most of the activities although it was a hot day when we went. We were the first group of the day and after about 1 hour in, the mountain climbing wall was too hot to touch/climb. They had plenty of water bottles around in tubs which was nice. The tutorial for the clips were straightforward and thorough. It was difficult at times to find a worker when needed but we managed. I will go again but I will make sure its a much cooler day. read more

Looking for the next place to plan a date or perhaps a group activity with friends? Look no further! This place is awesome with the wide range of activities/courses to try out! I got the Granite package (2hrs) and went in the early morning. There was barely anyone there so we were able to beat the odds and complete 5 out of the 6 activities instead of the estimated 2-3. We didn't rush them either because my date was stuck 40 feet in the air not wanting to ride the pulley down to the ground. The staff in white helmets were all very friendly and informative. Don't hesitate to ask them how the activity works or if you need a reminder on how to utilize the clips. One awesome tip is to try and arrive 30 minutes before your original time slot. The reason being is because the first 30 minutes of your purchased package goes straight to orientation and prepping. For example, if you booked for 8:30am, then arrive at 8:00am and attend the earlier orientation of the 8:00am class so you save yourself 30 minutes for more play time. Another tip is if you plan to record with a handheld camera stick, then it's going to be rough. Try going for a body cam or the one on the helmet. read more

This place has such potential but they are falling flat. Brought my son here for his 15th bday with his best friend. We paid for an hour of rock climbing. Took 30 minutes for anybody to bother coming over and didn't even give basic instructions to the point where my son didn't even want to do it anymore. We were going to buy a different package so they could do something else but instead of giving me the price the guy behind the counter said they only did it for 2 or 4 hrs. I would have paid maybe they would have actually gotten more than 10 minutes on something by the end of that time. This was our first time here. It's very organized and there seems to be a lot of employees with good knowledge. I really like that you can bring in a small cooler for drinks and something to eat. I would think there would be a lot more employees supervising the area. We had to flag employees down because we got stuck at one part. Also, the employees are very young; like, teenagers. However, most of them were very nice and friendly. There was one in particular that really tried to help me gain courage to try the Free Fall, but I just couldn't. I recently went to Quarry Park Adventures and had a great time! It was easy to purchase tickets and sign waivers online before arriving to my scheduled time. This place was easy to find in Rocklin and had plenty of parking. The staff at Quarry Park were friendly and provided great customer service. It does get hot down there so it was nice they provided free water bottles throughout the park. My group purchased the pick two ticket (did zip line and free fall) and was little disappointed that you only got to do the activity once. It would have been better if guests had unlimited times to do the activities within a one hour time limit. We were probably there for a total of 30 minutes after driving close to 30 minutes to just get there. Overall, looks like a great place for kids, families, and groups. I would recommend selecting the other packages to maximize your time there. read more

The park is newer and in pretty good shape, but I guess like a lot of businesses now, they were short staffed and that impacted the experience. There were a few times someone got stuck (not their fault...some folks got scared) and it took a long time for staff to help them out. There was always a wait to get someone to assist with Free Fall. And for the climb along the wall, there were a couple loose points and an area which thorny vines hanging down. With that said, we still had fun and I would recommend it if you have energy to burn. On Sunday my boyfriend and I went zip-lining side-by-side and it was truly an amazing adventure to experience as a couple together that we'll never forget! It feels like you're flying and completely clears your head, making you feel like you can do anything! I never thought I'd cross off an item off of my bucket list this early and I will definitely be back with family and friends to zip around with them, as well as try some of their other courses such as their rock climbing wall! I would definitely recommend this experience of a lifetime, great for first-timers! For about 19 seconds of zip lining it costs about 10 bucks each with a free locker to store your items and all you do is hold onto the handles, push off the platform and go! They do it all, starting by putting on your gear, attaching you to the cable and taking you off to remove your gear! So their isn't any stress of, am I doing this right?! Great deal! Some final notes.... *When landing aim your feet downward, we didn't watch the demonstration video and well we got kind of a big jolt at the end, lol but all was well! *Ask for a free locker key to store your items before a staff member puts on your gear! This will save you from scrambling to get to your reservation time like I did, but the staff were patient about it! *Wear comfortable pants or longer shorts, the harness was a bit uncomfortable on my left side as I zip-lined. read more

We came here to celebrate a birthday. It was a breeze. It was not overly crowded, there were plenty of staff members, location was easy to find and there is plenty of parking. I believe that we paid $75 per person for 4hrs. We only needed 2-3 hrs, because we were tired prior to our time being up. $5 to rent a locker and it is definitely worth it. The view is beautiful and the staff was pretty friendly and patient. When they call your time slot, you walk over to the gear that's been laid out for you. They turn on a video and as the video begins the staff starts assisting everyone with their gear. This cuts into your reservation time and it took about 30min. From there you go to a practice station and they teach you how to hook and unhook, then they have you practice. Once they've watched you complete the hooking and unhooking on your own, they sign you off. The practice session, that is required, and took 30min as you have to wait for a majority of the group to complete. The zipline was great, my family loved the free fall, and the rock climbing wall has many different options dependent on size and skill. There is also an obstacle course (high and low options - both options are very difficult, intimidating, and fun). They have water coolers placed all over the park, and the water is complimentary. They do not currently have any food or snack options, so bring snacks, drinks, and whatever else that you may need. We had a blast and now that we've experienced it once, we now know what we need to have an even better time. read more

Had a birthday party here and they rented out the kids kove which was super awesome for avoiding crowds due to Covid. The kids had a blast. They loved the maze and all the climbing apparatuses. We had such a great time here! We drove 2 hours just for Quarry Park Adventures. It was ridiculously hot, we didn't even get to do everything we wanted because of being tapped out from the heat, but we still had an amazing time and had no complaints! The staff was very friendly, helpful, and positive. It was over 100 degrees, and they worked their butts off saving different adults/kids that got scared or stuck, and were genuinely nice and encouraging about it. They also gave out free water all day to support hydration! Most big businesses and theme parks would capitalize on the weather and charge extra for water, knowing that people need it. But this place sees the importance of health and human goodness over business greed; thank you! We would go back (of course in cooler weather), and we would bring more friends and family! Oh and for Covid measures, they also provided free masks, hand sanitizers, gloves, and smaller group limits for social distancing. Every staff member wore a mask at all times, even if they were uncomfortably sweating in the heat all day. We were very impressed with these measures. We celebrated my son's 5th bday in Kids Kove. We did the 10 person package and all of the kids had a blast! The parents all also said how awesome it was. The kids ranged from 3 years old to 9 and all the parents felt their young ones were safe while the older kids still had fun and weren't bored. The staff was great and friendly. I can't remember who checked is in but she was super sweet! (We were the 11 am party on sept 18). This is a review for the Kidz Zone area only. Very disappointed. We paid $240 and we might as well as just had it at a park for free. It was hot that day, but I was not prepared for how hot it would actually be in that area. Out of their control? No because we were told by a worker that had it been 2 degrees hotter they would have just closed the park, and in fact an ambulance did come for someone in the climbing area that had heat stroke. They should put out some kind of notice or send a message stating that if it is a certain temp, be prepared that it will be hotter at the park. Our kids went on the playground for a total of 10 minutes, partly because of the heat and partly because they got bored with it. Our tables were IN the kid's zone, so we go the hottest set up in the place. Once the party behind us left, we asked to move back there which they did allow and it was at least 10 degrees cooler back there. I would not suggest coming in the heat, but if you do ask to be away from the actual play area. We did have to ask for them to change out the garbages since no one seemed to be coming to do it. They provide waters, but they were in an ice chest with no ice and so they were just "room temperature". Cold water would definitely have been nice. So yeah, the Kidz Zone was a bust, but my friend saved the day by running and getting tickets for the paddle boats. We got several boats and this was fun for the kids, although our boat broke down on the water and it took quite some time to be rescued with no offer of extra time on another boat. We were pretty much over it by then, but it would have been a nice gesture. The staff was friendly enough, but seemed to be not very proactive about making sure the experience was good, other than the "boat girl" - she was awesome at managing the boat area. Definitely not her fault our boat broke down. I did fill out their satisfaction survey when they emailed it, but I never heard back so there doesn't seem to actually be any interest on their part on making things better. One suggestion I had is adding misters to the Kidz Zone in the summer. So my final take is that it is not really worth the money to be in the Kidz Zone, and beware of going in the heat because it will be considerably hotter there than in general. read more

This was a lot of fun! We went the first day they opened after Covid. So, nobody was there and we got to do everything. The free fall was fun but scary to jump off. Really had fun rock climbing, I'm so sore lol. We did the medium height maze and that was actually quite hard lol. We then did the easy one and it was muuuuxh easier and less scary. I lived in Rocklin for majority of my childhood and I wish that Quarry Park Adventures was here when I was growing up. Quarry Park Adventures is one interesting adventure park. The first activity we did was go on the zipline which Eve couldn't do because she weighed too little but my older kids and I were able to.  We then went on the adventure course which has a lot of different paths that you can take. There are three easy paths which all end with a zipline and three harder ones which end with bungee jumping. After that we started to travel on the walls of the quarry. This was where we spent majority of our time at and for us this was the best feature in the park. We may have a bitten off more than we could chew. I took my daughter and I and we did a four hour session but we're done in about an hour and 30 minutes. I would say start off with a two hour session and see how that goes before going straight to four. This place is a great time for adventurous people. I'm definitely going back. read more
