This is a local gem. It's small and cozy and inviting inside but I can see it getting pretty busy…read moreduring the breakfast hours on weekends so plan accordingly. Bert is the baker and chef and he knows his craft. I got a fruit cake ( very moist and rum filled ) and a gingerbread house and both were phenomenal. From what I saw spying at patrons plates the breakfast and lunch food look delicious and everyone seemed very satisfied with what they had. The menu is somewhat seasonal it seems. For example , I've heard Bert does a good chicken pot pie but not during the holidays bc he concentrates on foods for that time of year. Remember that this is a mom and pop kinda place. Only one person in front and Bert in the back so don't expect fast service. But that is why you should come here to rub elbows with the locals and just enjoy life and good food.

I ordered the egg/cheese/bacon Croissant ( they do offer other breads) it was finger licking good, yummy croissant. My two friends ate the Quiche with much delight. Coffee was served, strong and pipping hot. They have many delicious deserts, cakes, pies and breads for sale. Way better than any dinner, try them and you will become a fan. Bert the owner will welcome you with a great smile.

Great food nice people…read more The meat was very good but VERY VERY expensive. Also their sandwiches are very good but very small. $16.95 got me a pulled pork but it was served on a Martin's Potato Roll, which while tasty is tiny. They're not even using the "Martin's BIG Potato Rolls" just the small regular ones. The sandwiches come with chips for free or fries for an upcharge -- But the chips are homemade and frankly way better than the fries! That said again it was good but for the price the sandwiches should be much bigger. They were dog friendly and very nice which we loved. We will be back soon!

Very welcoming service here and patient as well explaining the menu or cuts on display. Always a…read morerare treat to see a stand alone butcher shop, in this day and age. The steak sandwich was yummy, thinly sliced cuts beef, gooey cheese and well seasoned. The sandwich would been better on roll or crusty bread over a hamburger bun though. House-made potato chips were my favorite, well seasoned and cooked just to crispy, other places tend to burn chips but here just right. The filet taco, was very small, mostly a just two bites. It's meat filling was alright, tiny diced but filled the space. The taco sauce though was fire, very savory and well seasoned, almost wish the meat was cooked on the sauce rather than salt and pepper it. Have to come back and buy some of the raw stuff for home, since a very wide selection of cuts is here I can't get at supermarket for sure

Friday afternoon I was hungry and had never tried anything in the area. I stopped at what I thought…read morewas a deli, but it was closed. As I drove by the plaza, I figured someone here had to have food. It came down to a deli or takeout, and deli always wins. I walked in and immediately knew I made the right call. Counters filled with breads, sweets, bagels, and fresh food, and the smells in the air matched exactly what was in front of me. That's always a good sign. There was a menu posted with plenty to choose from. I went with the Black Forest sandwich and also grabbed three giant linzer tart hearts and an apple crumb horn. Price-wise, it felt right for what I got, and I'm always happy to support a local spot. The Black Forest was exactly what I needed on a winter afternoon. I ordered it as a hero and could only finish half. It was stuffed with hot turkey and melted Muenster cheese, and the bread had a great crunch while still keeping a nice chew. The Thousand Island dressing and coleslaw made every bite satisfying. It was definitely a wet sandwich with sauce dripping, and honestly, I loved that. I was excited for every bite. The apple crumb horn was delicious and a must-grab if you're there. It's like an apple pie but lighter and airier, with sweet, slightly crisp apples throughout. 5/5 stars. I'll absolutely be back the next time I'm in the area.

I recognize that after mentioning this particular pastry during multiple reviews, I've never really shown you the inside. Here it is. Tip: buy two. Put one in the freezer and before serving pop it into a 350° oven for about 20 minutes, serve hot.
