Went in with a few friends, had four of us total. We were the only ones in the entire restaurant besides a few sitting outside. Our server seemed really out of it to begin with, and hardly checked on anything. We had to ask the manager for drink refills, and a chip refill because our server was constantly nowhere to be found. Food was good, but gave him my card to pay when he came with the check. He didn't give me my card back and we had to wait ten minutes just to leave to get the card back. And who did we have to ask to get the card back from? The manager. I unfortunately did not get the servers name however I do not think he cared about his job. Will not be back. read more

They really nickel and dime you at this restaurant.... I cannot eat rice because of my diet, I also cannot eat re-fried beans. So I asked for a side of salad that comes with a lot of their meals. It's iceberg lettuce, a few bits of tomatoes, and maybe a tablespoon of guacamole. Instead of my re-fried beans I was hoping they could give me that instead. $5.25 upcharge!!!! That is insane. So I turned that down and asked for a small side of sour cream. Turns out they charged me $1.25 for that. The entrees are a bit expensive already. For example $16.99 for chicken and steak fajitas. Cantina Louie gives a bigger portion for $14.99. Their food is good, but I have never been charged for that small side salad. Absolutely never charged for side of sour cream. read more

Just had a really good Sunday lunch at Que Pasa Mex along the beach in Jacksonville. The place has a really good vibe. The menu is tremendous. Lots of pictures With good explanations of what the food is going to look like. The food is very authentic. The prices are very fair. Parking was easy right out front. They have a very big patio right out front as well. The queso was delicious. I specially like the salsa. Spicy!. This is a really good place and I will come back here again. The restrooms are very clean. Lots of TV's for Sports watching. The service was quick and friendly. We all had varying versions of their Street Tacos. They were all really good. What a bummer. Been here twice and was waiting so long for this place to open! Only to be completely let down. First time we went, the bartender had no idea the difference between the margaritas, even though we showed him on the menu they look exactly the same. The food was "ok", the service was really really slow and there wasn't even anyone there. The salsa is completely bland...just tasts like tomato sauce. The 2nd time we went, again, super excited to try after they'd been open a little longer. This time it was even worse. The bartender (different one this time) had absolutely no personality and made two DIFFERENT margaritas the exact same way and when I asked the difference, she said they were both made kind of similar but one had something different -- ummm...ok? But we watched her make them the same. Salsa was terrible and the food had absolutely NO taste. My husband got two tacos and both came on two separate plates wrapped in foil...totally do NOT understand why they do that. There was hardly any meat in the taco and no toppings. I know this is the same owner as Salsas, but I was truly hoping it would be different than Salsas because I am not a fan of that place. Needless to say...will probably not be back. Here is what they call 4 hard beef tacos with lettuce, tomatoes and cheese. I called after we got home and got pretty much the blow off. On top of that we ordered a beef soft taco and they gave us chicken. Never going back as this is the 3 rd time they have gotten the order right. So excited to have a fun new restaurant in the neighborhood! Que Pasa has only been open for a week, but it ran very smoothly! They went all in on the decor and it is great! A very well done space with indoor and outdoor seating. And TVs inside and out! The food was fantastic. Tex Mex style that is more traditional than trendy. The service was great and the margaritas (2 for 1 on happy hour) were super strong and tasty. Two negatives: 1. the music was loud and kept cutting in and out. And when I went to the bathroom I heard pandora ads. That was a little annoying. 2. The hot sauce game was a little weak. We had to ask for it twice and they only had two options (Cholula and Valentina). The tacos needed a little bit of heat and were a bit dry, so the hot sauce was a must. read more

The chips come warm and fresh with a nice cool homemade salsa teeming with fresh red onions and cilantro. I'm a refried bean snob, too dry is no good, too wet is bean soup, but here it's just right. The rice has a nice little crisp on it too! We had huevos rancheros and shrimp quesadilla, again both were fresh and delicious. Instead, they charged me an additional $7.98 for NO MEAT! I didn't see this until the item was delivered by Yelp (Grub Hub). An hour later, I get an "Upcharge Notice" of $7.98 for "Special Order"! This was no special order....I just didn't want the meat in the Burrito! To make matters worse, they didn't even deliver the burrito. We had a fun family Friday here. The ambience is great and the decorations are festive and well suited for the restaurant. The food was good (I really liked the cheese enchilada) the sangria was excellent. Liked the chips and salsa. My husbands Carne asada tacos Mexican style were delicious. My daughter had fried ice cream at the end and of course thought it was "the best ice cream ever". Its pretty standard Mexican fare. I would say it's about equal to Campeche ( maybe a little better) and closer to my house. I would like to try the Fajitas next time, they looked yummy going to other tables. The service was okay, a little slow, but they were super packed. The hostess was exceptionally friendly and I can tell they are trying hard to make people happy.
