My husband and I have been coming to this place recently, i use to live in noho in 2022 ish and im a little more further out from the center valley but there food neverrrrrr fails to amaze me . Such good flavor and even my mexican husband loves eating here and hes picky !!!! Honestly way better than salsa n beer and cheaper !!i always get the taquitos plate, ive tried the mendo here before 10/10 , the elote corn is both our favorites and the ofc horchata is bomb . Too bad I can put zero stars. I went this morning for the first time to this restaurant. There is not even one customer when I calendar the music. It was like a club Cantina the food was good. I ordered Machaca, but the rice was like a fried rice it has like a half of really crunchy pieces of rice. It was so hot inside the restaurant they have AC but they don't wanna turn on the AC because I guess they don't wanna spend any electricity. They have the doors wide open. Proud to say we've been ordering here for years now. It's been an organic relationship. The bottom line: my spouse is always craving menudo or pozole and Que Ricos has been the only reliable delivery target that serves up the stew and soup at all hours of the evening. Their tacos are of the market, price-wise, but I do appreciate that they're a good dollar and some change cheaper than the competition. It's never been complicated with these guys - tacos, burritos, something for the bowl - they got you. Even if you have a favorite Que Ricos can't touch, they are worthy as a go-to spot - a distinctive category reserved for the good-enough and the convenient. Pretty sure we discovered them in '21 or '22, very much during the pandemic. They never got our order wrong. Never skimped on the asada or pastor in my tacos. I do crave them these days and weirdly, their fries! They aren't all that life changing, but I do enjoy ordering them from here. We recently set foot in the restaurant for the first time. Ya, three stars is about right: OK but not really all that special. Although the tacos are generous, the meat is undersalted and the salsas don't have much of a kick, either. At three bucks apiece at the time of this writing there are probably tastier (and possibly cheaper) choices nearby. There's outdoor and indoor seating and somebody's spent some money making the place look good, but the food isn't anything to rave about. They apparently don't take cash, either: you order from touchscreens at the counter and they bring you your order. Been coming to Que Rico's for years and finally had the worst experience. Ordered food for delivery and the beans were rotten!! The reason I noticed was because I took a bite and they tasted acidy, rotten. I'm Mexican, I know how beans and rice taste. They also smelled horrible and looked old. The rice has obviously been reheated multiple times. I ordered the 3tacos plate. The tortillas looked sad when I received them. I also ordered the asada fries and didn't eat any of it. $60 down the drain. I happened to be on Victory blvd. yesterday going to Musa Ler (Armenian super market) and I was starving... ran into this Que Ricos Fresh Mexican Kitchen and quite enjoyed my lunch experience very much. I ordered their California Burrito and nice ice cold Pepsi and I liked it. However, it was a bit oily and salty for my taste and palate. I ate inside and it was cozy, pretty, quaint, and clean. I liked the vibe of the restaurant. They also have a nice long patio.They were playing some great Latin music which I liked and complimented my dining experience. It was also quiet. Nobody was inside at the time that I went. They had a lot of phone and online orders. So people were coming and going. So I had the entire restaurant all to myself. Which was very much needed. Nice service. The only downfall was their restroom. You have to exit the restaurant go around the building and they had to open the door from inside to let me into their bathroom which was kind of odd. It seemed like a gas station bathroom. Date: May 11, 2023 Was craving late night burritos and decided to Yelp a place. Saw this place was kinda close by but not close enough so decided to DoorDash it. This review will be solely based on the taste and presentation of the food. At first glance, I was already super excited! The burrito was big and felt like it was filled with lots of yummyness. I ordered the California Burrito (11.99$) and got the Wet Burrito (12.99$) for hubby. They pride themselves for having the same prices in store as they do on DoorDash which is a big bonus! Cut open my California burrito and I was in heaven! It was beautiful! Took one bite and had the sauce drip down my face and it was just a perfect moment. Whatever sauce they use in there made it so good. Hubby also said the Wet Burrito was amazing. The only downside is that there is no salsa on the house. All salsa you have to purchase for 60 cents. I ignored the reviews on yelp cause it was so highly rated on Uber Eats but I wish I hadn't. I got the asada nacho delivered and nothing irritates me more than when an order isn't the same as the image/info they provide. Not only were the chips broken and already soggy (and the delivery guy was prompt so it wasn't on him), but there weren't any beans on it and they used nacho cheese on top of dry seasonless meat. I'm sad & disgusted and never coming here again. It's also making me question everywhere I order food to go. (Unless I can see how the food is prepped). I went to order a burrito tonight and when they gave it to me at the pickup window I could see the employee/chef inside putting together another burrito with his bare hands. He then was scraping, with his finger, a sauce that he just flung from his nail to the burrito. He saw me looking at him and it felt like he knew he should be wearing gloves. It's mandatory in LA now as of January 2024, for food workers to wear food prep gloves, so this is super gross and disappointing to see. All I can think about is, it's his bare hands! I know a lot of people don't care to wash their hands, even employees at food joints, which is gross. I mean, why is there a sign in most restaurant food bathrooms saying "employees must wash hands before returning to work".... Because most restaurants know people are gross and employees don't wash their hands! Haha I will never be able to eat here again unless I'm watching my burrito get made and that they're wearing gloves. It's sad because the food here is yummy and open really late. So anyway, in a perfect world I'd LOVE for this place to be inspected and get measures put in place, that they employees actually follow, that keep us customers safe from germs & pathogens in our food. Ordered delivery last night. I was craving Mexican food so I thought I'd try it. To my extreme disappointment it was disgusting. The steak tasted old and over cooked with zero favor. I did not even finish it. Not even 6 hours later, I had to take a trip to the urgent care. I could not sleep all night I was met with extreme nausea, vomiting and number 2. I had an appointment next door at the medical center and my mom had dropped me off in the parking lot and was going to order herself food while she waits for me to be done with my appointment. 2 minutes after I get out of my car, the old guy, whom I assume might be the manager, comes speeding out and yells at me to turn around. I could hardly hear with the traffic from the Main Street next to us and he starts telling me "you can't park here, you need to leave." I told him that my Mom dropped me off and is going to get out and eat right now while she waits for me. He didn't believe me and said "people lie and tell me that all the time." I told him, don't worry about it she's going to go in. After a few more seconds of arguing, I told him to forget it, she'll just eat elsewhere. I called my Mom and told her to leave. She doesn't need that type of service. I don't appreciate the way he came at me, especially since my Mom was going to be a paying customer. It's not right to come running out to yell at a potential customer who was literally only parked for 2 minutes.
