    Cheese bread
    Karley C.

I wanted to like it, but our frenchbread cheesy bread and sauce was "meh". I would have liked more seasoning (tasted like straight up regular butter - unsalted). The sauce was also a weird consistency where you couldn't dip your garlic bread--you had to clump it on. I'm hoping their pizza is better than the cheesy bread!

Love the location, love the atmosphere, love the whole idea! The food is your average pizza and beer spot, maybe a little subpar. Pizza and garlic bread both lacked any real flavor. But going into this food hall is always a great time and you go more for the experience than the food. Great open space, plenty of tables, fire pits outside and patio seating right in downtown carmel. Bar service is quick and food is served quickly as well. Nothing to write home about, but an awesome spot to spend with friends! Great place to watch sporting events as well.

I tried the new French Bread Pizza place located inside of the Sun King Carmel location. The pizza is all put onto french bread in a few sizes. They do a quarter, half, 3/4 and whole. They also have a few salad options and some italian style appetizers. I ordered the half Yeah-Yeah and it was good. I actually didn't finish my portion, if you're not super hungry a quarter would be a fine serving! Appetizers we tried the crispy baked cheese. It comes with a few slices of garlic bread, but there was lots of extra cheese that ended up going to waste. A cheap and quick easy lunch/ dinner option for people who are already grabbing a drink from Sun King!

I really liked my pizzas & I LOVED being able to watch them be made and cook! This place is so cool. You order and pay at the self service kiosks. Then you watch the employees roll out your dough and make your pizza. You then get to watch it cook in their giant fire burning oven! So cool! The garlic crust is amazingggggg. The pizza crust itself is thin, the sauce is amazing and it paired perfect with a cold brew! We can't wait to go back and grab a slice while we hang outside!

The pizza was a bit above average. Prices ridiculous for the quality. Service manager was a total jerk for asking simple questions.

It looked like she was the only server on shift for the whole time we were there, meaning she was running throughout not only her section inside, but going outside as well! Despite being so busy, she made sure to check in on us multiple times. Our garlic bread was cheesy and tasty, although we wished it was a little more garlicky! My salad was very refreshing and quite large for a small portion. My husband loved his turkey sub as well! My husband enjoyed his pizza flavor wise, but he prefers thicker crusts. However for me, the crust was PERFECT! I love a thinner, greasy crust. NY style, CA style, and similar are my favorite. These pizzas are great for that! The only problem we ran into was the toppings. The kitchen accidentally messed up on my pizza and put a different topping than what I ordered. When Grace quickly had them remade it, the second pizza had the correct topping.... But was now missing a topping that was originally on the first pizza! It honestly didn't matter at that point, because the pizza was absolutely delicious. The cheese was stretchy, greasy, and gooey. The sauce was pleasant , and again I love a thin crispy crust! The management was kind enough to take off my pizza from our bill as an apology for the topping fiasco, without any complaint from us urging it. I would definitely love to have their pizza again!

My kids love their cheese sauce to dip their pizza in and the ranch is great. It is a little pricey as other have mentioned but the food quality is very good. Mostly the service is good and staff is very friendly. I do feel like they probably don't have as much staff as they should have so servers get busy going between tables outside, inside, and at the bar so there's times you need something and no one is around. I still give it 5 stars though just because it really is excellent food, way better than several other pizza places around.

Also, ordered a large The Butcher pizza. Again, it was marvelous! Excellent taste and loaded with pepperoni and sausage. Cooked just right. Buttery crust too! Where King Dough failed was on the Circuses as Channel 7 food critic James Ward used to call it. There's Breads and Circuses. Breads is the quality of the food. Tastiness, balance, quality and quantity. Circuses is the presentation, service and restaurant ambiance. Server failed to bring utensils, napkins and condiments with the food. We had to go to the front desk to get them. No bid deal, minor complaint. The server also did not cut and serve the first slice to me and my date. Further, the slices were not cut through so we had difficulty transferring the slices off the serving platter onto our plates. Lucky we didn't end up with a slice in our laps. No spatula provided. Had to ask for pepper, grated cheese and hot pepper. We dined outside. Should have been indoors. South facing patio was full sun for most of the meal. And there was an old chicken bone under our table. I wasn't expecting a Michelin experience but come on! Clean up the patio. The server apologized up front for the pitcher of water having tea stains on it. Maybe buy some new pitchers and use them exclusively for water? Makes me wonder if this restaurant is circling the drain if they can't afford net water pitchers. At least King Dough does not tack on a 3% charge for paying with a credit card which has become an annoyingly common standard practice in many restaurants.

This is a hot spot for a certain kind of Carmel crowd who wants to have a lil' cheeky drink on a day that ends in Y (or two drinks ... or three. They don't judge at Pizzology.) Or so I'm told. I got boots on the ground reporting for me. But it's also a restaurant for families. And a restaurant for casual dates. And a restaurant if you just want great food. Pizzology gets wood-fired pizza right. The crust is chewy yet slightly charred and crispy in all the right places. The pizza flavor offerings are simple but also creative. They have a dozen or so chef-crafted pizzas, so you can order a pizza that has been thoughtfully created. But if you want to go rogue, then you can also create your own pizza from ingredients like peppadew peppers, corn puree (what?), smoked mozzarella, asparagus and lots more. Large pizzas feed two, maybe three people. Small pizzas will feed one person. I was with a group of people, and we ordered a variety of things. The best thing that I tasted was The Varro, which is a pizza with red sauce, pork meatballs, fresh garlic, blobs of ricotta, parmesan cheese and parsley. This is one amazing pizza! I specifically ordered this pizza for the ricotta blobs, but I left with the memory of the garlic. Woah! If you like garlic or need to ward off vampires, this is the pizza for you. Other things we got included the Margherita pizza, which was so good and simple, with lots of fresh basil. And The Bama (white Alabama barbecue sauce, chili flakes, grilled chicken, banana peppers, caramelized onions and mozzarella). The Bama is spicer than you might think, but it was very tasty. Other people at the table got salads and bread sticks, and they were very happy with them, so I feel like you can't go wrong with pretty much anything on the menu here. The wine list is decent here! You'll find some nice wines at OK prices. They also have a wide variety of cocktails, plus a small beer menu. Hours are limited, as Pizzology is only open for dinner, starting at 4 p.m. If you're visiting on a Friday or weekend, I'd call to make a reservation. This place fills up quickly!

However, I will attach a picture of their menu. The pizza's were good, with fresh ingredients, and remained hot all the way home. We order one hand tossed crust and two crispy thin pizzas. The crispy thin crusts were thin.... but not cracker thin. They were very good none the less. The food is 100% Halal so the sausage is beef rather than pork. We got a sausage and mushroom pizza and enjoyed it. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Our bill was correct as was our order. The location has very limited dine-in seating. It appears predominately a carryout location. I believe they make deliveries as well but double check, including the delivery zone. Since it is mainly a carryout / delivery establishment, it is extremely important to me that orders are correct. I was very satisfied with the accuracy... my family can be very particular and makes a lot of menu substitutions! The menu consists mostly of pizza and wings. They have limited appetizer, salad, and sandwich wrap options. Drinks include bottled water and canned soda, among other items. We will return to this restaurant. The wings appear to get good reviews so we will probably order them next time.... along with another pizza!

We also ordered the spring salad for $7. It consisted of spring mix, tomatoes, and homemade balsamic vinaigrette. The spring salad was good. The lettuce was fresh and nicely seasoned with the dressing. We really liked the homemade balsamic dressing. The pizza was very good and had a lot of toppings. As mentioned there is no variety or choice of size. The pizza only comes in a 12 inch, which was eight slices. Also, there is no choice of crust thickness. It is all a reasonably thin crust. Not a cracker thin crust, but thinner than most pizzas. We really liked it. The table next to us ordered pasta. They said it was delicious. They asked our server if the pasta was made fresh in the house. The server replied that it was. Service was very good, friendly, and prompt.
