They are quick to take care of patients needs and with an appointment are definitely on time! A lot of other quests I go to do not respect your time (even with more nurses than they have here) and are usually very rude. Not this location! They have an awesome staff team here. I am terrified going in for so many blood work and voiced my concerns, it was painless and so quick! Thank you Valeria for taking care of my needs and being so gentle and patient with me. This location is the WORST of ALL the Quest locations. It's so poorly operated by incompetent people that I will never visit this location again, EVER. The young Asian phlebotomist is not capable of tying her shoe let alone take blood or work per doctors ordered. I would strongly recommend you choose another location if you want to use Quest, conversely you can always change to LabCorp. I was wondering why it was so easy to make an appointment at this location when I did so yesterday. Bright my brother for testing: ordered by his doctor. (Blood work) he insisted on walking in... but luckily for him I took it upon my self to schedule his appointment on line, just in case. As soon as we arrived he was told no walk ins.... Even tho states on the front door walk ins welcome??!! Maybe they should remove that sign.... Had a pretty good experience here! Took my father here for some lab tests and it was quick and easy. The process of booking an appointment was super simple online. I also appreciated the automated text reminders. I booked an appointment at 8:30am and arrived by 8:25. They have a sign-in kiosk that is relatively simple to use in which you scan your ID and insurance card. If you're not great with technology, you can also check in with the receptionist. As soon as I finished checking in, they called our name. They are quite speedy and on time here, so don't be late! I appreciate that we were not waiting around. The entire staff was friendly, helpful, and informative. The only difficult thing for me was reaching a staff member in-person via phone. I had a question after my dads appointment so I called multiple numbers found online, and all sent me to an autogenerated voicemail instead of a person at the office. That was a bit frustrating. Overall, I had a good experience at Quest and will make more appointments here in the future should I never need to schedule tests. read more

Been here twice with a teenage sibling. Facility is clean and when you are called, the service is quick. However, digital kiosks are the only method of check-in and there is no human receptionist. I'd recommended elderly folks who are not tech savvy have someone with them to help, as I saw many of their check-ins had issues that required re-doing. Workers will pressure you to schedule a visit at a later time even if it's not convenient for you, so make sure you choose standby if you want to wait. List times on the TV are not accurate, so you may be waiting for upwards of an hour. read more

This is my 2nd review of this place. My visit is for my annual wellness examination which I always do during September/October of the year. Things are pretty much the same - either kiosk check-in or from your phone app. Patients waiting in the lobby are also of different kinds - kiosk challenged, non-English speaking, some who talks to their phone loudly and in their own language -- every which kind. I was called at the eexact time of my appointment which has always been consistent. Likee I said, almost everything is the same - except the personnel/staff. Maybe I was just unlucky to be assigned to someone that I didn't have good vibes with. I won't mention her name and I won't go into details but she's totally the opposite of the previous staff I always interact with. And to make it worse, the way she did my annual wellness process was wrong compared to previous years. I asked her to redo it again as the results were "off" based on my daily measures. Anyway, she did her work but without that "personal touch and care" that I've had from the previous personnel. I just thought, she's just doing her job but not above and beyond. Oh well, In summary, her care quality needs to improve. Maybe next time I'll luck out. read more

I would like to update this review by appreciating the improvements of much easier checking process and highly professional tech who helped me do the blood work today(7/24/23) Compared to my previous visit, the QR code check in process was very convenient and efficient today. Why am i keep hearing complaints of one specific nurse from this lab everytime i make an appointment for my family??? My mother & my wife complained how rude the chubby latina nurse with dyed blonde hair. I only have made an appointment at this location for my family because its closer to our home. My mother & wife complained the way she treats & talks.... I'd have asked them to bring manager if i were there!!! If the job is the reason makes her frustrated get another fxxxing job! Easy to make appointment (my doctor's office gave me a list of places to choose from, called the number the night before and was able to book a morning appointment at this location). 2. Easy to find (connected to the Neighborhood Walmart parking lot, so I was able to get some grocery shopping in!) 3. Quick check in (I'll be honest, I didn't notice the kiosks off to the side so was wondering why there wasn't a receptionist ready to greet me. Omgoodness I wish I could remember the name of the tech who drew my blood. She told me! But, I can't recall lol. I had to write a review because she was the sweetest person!! Now I feel bad for not going back to ask, but that just seemed creepy lol. I had the last appt of the day. Such an easy process! I received a reminder text w a link to do my check in when I arrived. So, you can actually wait wherever you want... In The waiting area, your car, standing outside... cuz they text when it's time to come inside. I opted to wait inside but she was so quick to call me, I barely even sat down. She was friendly and just the right amount of chatty. Quick and easy stick, no pain or trying to find a vein. Good job! Third time is the last strike! I come to this quest as it is closer to my work and home but they certainly need to hire people who can do their job right! This is the third time they have to call a second lab person because the first couldn't find my vein or did something wrong. The previous times I was understanding that maybe a second option is okay, but this time the second person just messed up my vein and bruised it as she poked me almost in a vertical angle as she had no idea what she was looking for!!!! They need to hire people who are less incompetent and know how to do their job right! My arm is not only bruised but sore and hurts to bend and holding things with it! It could had been prevented if they were properly trained people doing this job! By the way: telling people that you are "sorry" but not doing anything about it won't really do much about the issue so thank you for your apology but means nothing unless you really fix your problems at your location!!! It was simply awful and I was very upset and taken back by the way I was treated today by the phlebotomist that drew my blood today she was very rude an unprofessional I believe her name was Marisol but I'm not sure if I'm pronouncing it right but her physical description is very recognizable she appeared to be Mexican she weighed about 250lbs plus I'm not sure if she was pregnant or just had a large stomach and listen folks I'm not being mean spirited because I have been going to this place for years this location and the Beverly Hills location on Robertson are the 2 I go to and the young ladies I've had care for me in the past have always been nice and kind and very respectful and we have had great interactions and they did a great job of drawing my blood and we had good communication today went totally wrong first of all when I went back there she told me the needed a urine specimen and I knew that when I got there so I said okay can I do it now because I really have to go mind you I'm 68 years old and I don't have the strongest bladder she said NO I have to take the blood first if I let you go to the bathroom first we would be here to long I wasn't aware they were on a time schedule per patient and insisted on taking my blood first so when she stuck me I flinched and she said because I flinched she had to move the needle around my veins and then she said the blood was coming out to slow and moved to my left arm with this tube and plastic line and my blood flowed with no problem!! This girl is going to hurt someone if you don't rein her in Quest Diagnostics fix this problem at your 5418 La Palma Ave La Palma CA location before she hurts someone. Terrible lab I visited in my life. The manager is ever the worst manager I've ever met. 6 months ago my dr order me to do the test, I tried to make appointment in this place but unfortunately I had to wait for 10 days. Then I just went to the lab and it had the sign "Walk-In is welcome". I signed up, waited 2 hours no progress in the waiting list. Then I asked the stuffs what's happening, they told me I had to wait till some one with appointment but no show. Then I asked if I can talked to the manager, she came and told me this was Quest's policy, and I might have to wait till end of the day. I told her it was not reasonable cause patient came for walk-in had urgent requirement reason. She said no way, and told me if I wanted to complaint, just did it. 2 weeks ago I spent 7 days to made an appointment, when I came they told me that my insurance had limits for 4 item test and if I'd like to do them, I need to pay $600+ or call my doctor to change the Dx code. I had to call my doctor to send new order, and made another appointment, that's another 7 days waste. When I came today, the lab staff told me they could only find 1 item order. I told her I had two then she asked me to provide item name. Unfortunately I thought this would be new order so I didn't brought the original order. I asked her if I can drive back home or asked my wife to deliver the order in 5 minutes? She refused and told me I need either get the order back to the lab and signed as "Walk-In" or made another appointment. Since each patient they only allow 10 minutes. I told me that she only used less 2 minutes and if she could be compromise this case, she refused. When I asked if I could talk to Lab manager, she said she was!!! I told her I'm going to complain to Quest customer, she replied "Do it"！ I had to drove back home and made another appointment in other lab. Bad Lab in this place!!! read more

I wish I had asked her name who drew the blood because she was amazing. She instructed me to hold his arm and she got a vein on the first try (I was so nervous they would miss). Came in for blood work. Luckily I made an appointment online beforehand so I was able to check in from my car and skip checking in inside on the kiosk. Only waited 10-15 minutes until I was seen by Jacque. She made me feel comfortable throughout the process. The hand sanitizer was empty outside but she was kind enough to offer me some from her desk. She let me know I could get my results by creating an account with Quest Diagnostics from the email I received after the lab tests were done. No bruising after the blood draw. To our surprise, our walk-in visit is swift and easy. Check-In: 3 kiosks that has super short step to complete. You get both an email and text notification of the upcoming appointment. Plenty of parking space as the facility is next to a Walmart Neighborhood Market. The staff checks your temperature prior to entering the facility and verifies your appointment check in. Walk-ins are acceptable. You wait for your turn and the staff will perform the tests in a private area. Overall, a positive experience and all the staffs are courteous and professional. One of the worst quest experiences I've had. I usually preregistered for my appointment and checked it 15 minutes before. I received a text that they were ready for me to go in. And then 30 minutes later they're calling in people with later appointments or people who had checked in after me. I then proceed to get helped and the lady who drew my blood told me she wasn't going to run one of the test my doctor requested because it wasn't going to be covered by my insurance. I then get my bill three months later and turns out the lady did charge me for the test that she said she wasn't going to run. I am reviewing the Quest Diagnostics right next to Walmart in La Palma. I know that the location has changed to this one so hopefully I am writing the review for the right one. After seeing my general practitioner, I was sent here to get some blood work done just for my annual checkup. I've always had great experience at this location. I've gotten my blood drawn by Maria. She is such a sweetheart. Great conversationalist. She makes you feel really comfortable. This time I had my blood drawn by somebody else who was equally pleasant. I made it just in time before they closed and I didn't feel like I was bothering them or like she was rushing the procedure. Usually I will feel the needle prick, but this time I hardly felt it. I was amazed. Can't really say anything bad about this location. Pleasant experience for a not-so-pleasant situation. I used to never mind getting my blood drawn, but now it has become such a hassle. In total time, it took over 1 hour to get my blood drawn to the time I was out of that facility. The wait was SO LONG, that the patients waiting in the waiting room, found out amongst ourselves that there were 2 other patients booked with the same appointment time! I booked mine at 11:40 a.m and so were they! Also, on top of that, there were walk-ins that is now being booked at the same time?! So, how is that possible, that when I counted the staff (which were super nice and super helpful with accomodating our complaints) there's not nearly enough time to process each patients at their designated time if you are not accounting for processing each patient's order carefully, drawing their blood, processing their payments and whatever else comes after that! After my realization of what is really happening, I felt terrible for complaining on the staff. Plus I was really hangry since I had to fast for my blood test order. Another example of failed leadership, just looking at numbers in their nice cozy chairs, who are away from front facing of the patients. It's another corporation just up for cranking out patients for more money. It's the saddest thing to see. read more

I was in and out in about 10-15 min. U can also pre register online to make it even quicker. Jocelyn was the one that took my blood. She is a breathe of fresh air. Don't go without an appointment. When I first saw the waiting room I expected a very unpleasant experience. They had an electronic kiosk for us to use to sign in. (Note: intensely I dislike electronic kiosks.) The person at the front desk was nice (and given the crowd and the electronic kiosk I was ready for a "fight".) Much to my surprise we were called in right away because we had an appointment. The phlebotomist was very professional, cheerful, and kind to my nervous daughter. We requested that she do the draw while my daughter was lying down since my daughter has fainted with a blood draw before, and we were accommodated. "Painless" Shieley got the sample in one stick. Smooth sailing if u plan ahead!! We had scheduled our yearly physicals with our primary dr right accross the street and at the same time i scheduled an appt (online) to get lab work done here at Quest Diagnostics for my husband and myself. My appt was at 10am and his was at 10:15am. We arrived at 9:50am signed in for both of us and i was in there by 10:05 and out by 10:10. Husband was called in next and came out 10:24. The lady verifying insurance and taking the lab form was very corteous and our tech was amazing. My 3yr old followed me inside and they allowed her in there and was making her giggle and gave her stickers while she was prepping. A little planning goes a long way! There is about 15 people in here waiting a turn as a walk in. It only takes 2 min to schedule an appt online . In and out in half hour! Very happy with their service. read more
