My most recent visit was for a routine lab draw on 12/30/2015. Let me preface by saying that phlebotomists Maria and Freddie are always more than friendly, but there is a SERIOUS management issue here. There is almost never anyone manning the front desks and phones to keep the phlebotomists free to do their jobs and keep the patient flow moving. They could have used 3 phlebotomists and a receptionist/assistant at the front to keep up with the people in this facility which services an area as large as Santa Clarita. When they were located in The Doctors Office building on Lyons, they were much more efficient. The last 3-4 times I've had to go there for simple labs, I have waited no less than 90 minutes up to over 2 hours. When I arrived on 12/30, there were less than 10 people in the waiting area, and some of them were accompanying the person in for testing. As if wasting that amount of time waiting for a lab draw wasn't bad enough, please note that everyone else was waiting that long, too. Not everyone there was healthy and getting a screening. Several were in there hacking up a lung for those 2 hours, and there is not a separate waiting area for the otherwise healthy. I had jokingly checked in on Facebook and said I'm healthy now and hope I can say the same when I leave. I should have sat outside because on New Year's Eve, I arrived at a party and within an hour of arrival started to feel tensing of the muscles in my neck and shoulders which didn't make sense, and then my face felt hot. Then the aching joints. It was like seeing a cartoon character taking ill while someone turns up the dial. I spent the rest of the party isolating myself in a chair with an ice bag while everyone celebrated. Because I went to Quest for a routine screening to make sure I'm healthy. There was also a billing issue with them last October. I made a payment and they didn't process correctly. I started getting late notices and when I called, the accounting people said it could only be fixed at the treatment center site where the payment was taken. Remember when I mentioned the only people staffing the site were phlebotomists themselves? They don't have enough password access to alter a payment and only the manager can address it. After calling Maria many times and leaving messages for the manager, I never once received a return call. I even went up to the location in Palmdale where I'm told the manager is based, but she wasn't in that office that day. I left a message with them asking that she call and still nothing. Ironically when I've gone to Palmdale for a draw it's never been a problem. Maybe they need to share some of their resources? Sorry, Maria and Freddie.. but I think I need to check with Blue Shield to see if CLA Laboratory is covered in network. I take my Mom there for her regular tests and we have never waited 10 minutes. I shouldn't have to get sick while trying to make sure I am not sick. And I just don't have that kind of time to waste. read more

If i could give this place a zero I would. This is my third time here and everytime there is a problem. My wife came here last week and waited 2 hours for her blood to be drawn! Today I am droppibg off a test for her, and there is no one at front desk to help you. (There never is anyone at the front desk.) There is no drop off slot, you have to sign in and wait your turn, so far 45 mins. now! The staff is unfrendly, and not helpful. When I asked why one has to wait to drop off a stool sample the reply was, "You have to fill out papers"! And with an attitude, too! My doctor refers to this lab for his patients, and I've told him about this crummy lab but he shrugs his shoulders and looks exasperated too. Here you are at the mercy of a very inefficietly run lab with people who aren't empathic at all. (Present state of health care, sorry to say.) read more

What a poor service with absolutely no love for customers! Myself and two kids were turned away saying the doctor gave us illegal paperwork! The middle aged lady and men were helping each other to turned down appointment made online. We are working with the corporate complain department and will post updates soon. Staff is friendly, but location is either overbooking appointments and/or short-staffed. It's really frustrating when you have an appointment, and need to sit in a full waiting room for 25 minutes past your appointment time, all the while watching them admit walk-ins. Seems like Quest is losing site of customer service. read more

Terrible customer service. I understand that appointment times aren't always on time, especially with new rules due to Covid. My Dr. faxed TWO orders- one a few days before and the other the day of my appointment after I'd already waited 15 minutes after my appointment. It was frustrating to watch other people go right in with the same appt time as me. When I asked Maribel, the rude receptionist if they always run this late, her response was "yeah, because of new regulations. You'll be lucky if you're seen in the next five minutes." Had the BEST experience here this morning. It was my first time going directly to Quest for blood work. Everyone there was so kind and helpful. The process was fast! And Ian, who took my blood, was so gentle and efficient. It was the most peaceful process! I am truly impressed and will try to have all my future labs done this way. read more

Made an appointment and was getting in my car when my son came running to me that his bike tire was flat. I checked the tire and it had a leak and so I had to take him to school. I went as fast as I could and arrived at the Quest building 10 minutes late. But the building was locked and my first time ever here I didn't know what to do. There were no signs anywhere about the Quest location. I tried all the doors and they were all locked. I stood there for a moment and wondered if perhaps the website had the address wrong. I didn't know what to do and then figured out Quest was at the back of the building. You would think that they would put a sign up or something for first-time customers, but there were no signs. I walked around and went in their rear entrance (the only entrance) and stood at the counter for a minute or two and then I saw 2 women walk in after me and walk over to a kiosk to sign in. Ah, ok, so I got in line behind them (though I actually was there before both of them) and waited about 7 or 8 minutes because one woman didn't know how to do sign in. Then a Quest worker walked out and began to help one of the women. I told him I had an appointment and he asked what time the appointment was and I told him and he said that my appointment was cancelled because I was more than 10 minutes late. I tried to explain all to him why I was late and that it was unavoidable, and that I tried to get in the front of the building and that I was there before those 2 women, but he didn't care at all and just said it didn't matter the reason, they have a policy no later than 10 minutes. He then said I had to get to the back of the line behind all of the other people there with no appointments. There were a LOT of people there. I already had activities planned for 10am and wasn't able to wait that long. I told him it wasn't fair but he was totally unsympathetic and unreasonable. I will NEVER go here again. I don't suggest anyone else go there either. I wasn't impressed with this place at all. The one on McBean (that apparently isn't there any more) was MUCH better. Returned for the tests for the annual physical exam. I really liked the new electronic sign-in and especially the list that is displayed on the TV showing the order of service and approximate wait time. Quest continues to provide efficiency using new technology. The phlebotomist was OUTSTANDING!!! Could not really feel the needle (I'm a bit squeamish) and she was fast and very professional and a real pleasure to chat with as she did her work. Something new is that they ask the patient to verify that the vials are properly labeled - this is an excellent quality control step and most welcome. I did not have an appointment, but was in and out of the clinic in under 20 minutes having arrived at 7:30 AM. read more

This location is very difficult to find. i would suggest allowing an extra 20 minutes, or a dry run before your appt. I arrived to the shopping center on time but spent 10 min trying to find the lab. ( the directions online aren't accurate, and calling Quest only gets you phone trees). I then waited almost 40 min, but but had to return to work. So... no bloodwork, a little late back to work and no lunch. The woman at the front desk was marginally polite but not helpful, and apparently didn't understand why I asked about work and time. Went in for my life insurance exam and I as late for my appointment so it turned to a walk in so had to wait longer but gotta say it was on me and they still did see me and the kindness and friendly staff made up for it! i went too urgent care on Sunday and they couldn't take out my blood because my veins aren't really good so they told me too come here and I did I waited for 1 an hour just too get my blood drawn there was probably 7 people ahead of me with appointments and only 2 doctors were working there very slow I would of waited probably other 3-4 hours read more

Front desk was helpful and fast. Darius is one of the best phlebotomist I have had take my blood. I have rolling veins and it almost always takes 3 times. 2 weeks ago I was at the ER at Henry Mayo hospital, 12 attempts & 4 nurses they finally got the IV in. I went to Quest for my lab work. Darius drew blood on the first try! I will ask for him everytime. Time to give this guy a raise before you lose him. Good people are hard to keep. 2years experience in NIC unit! Clearly he is the best if you have difficult veins. Henry Mayo should have hired this guy when they had the chance. I'm glad he is at Quest! read more

I purchased a Covid antibody test through Quest Direct for $129. My blood was drawn 5/6/20 at the Town Center site. I am a healthcare provider and really would like my results. As of 5/20/20 results are still pending per Quest direct app and it is impossible to speak to a customer service rep! read more

Since COVID-19 many mistakes with my billing (transpose amount due by patient and amount allowed by insurance). Most of the time no one answers the phone and if I get through it is after 50 minutes or more. I have forwarded information to support my claim (my actual medical explanation of benefits) and I am told it can take up to 6 weeks to receive and so now I am being threatened with collections because of their mistake. I have been using Quest for years; however, because of this (lingering since August) and them stating they will take this to collections I will request my labs from my doctor from anyone but Quest. The unnecessary emotional stress that I have been put through because of Quest is unacceptable and threatening to ruin my credit and putting me through more emotional stress because Quest lacks competent resources in their organization is unacceptable as well. What Quest is doing is cruel and should be labeled as criminal. read more

Ya know-- I think that cleanliness, organization, and professional service are very important especially when visiting a healthcare facility. Let me give you a few words to preview my more detailed review: THIS PLACE ROCKS!! Cleanliness: Listen-- Mr. Clean would've definitely approved of this place b/c it was so spic n' span clean!! The whole entire place is nice and clean and just has a calming vibe, which is important for some people especially for children and people who do not like getting poked by needles! Organization: When I entered the office, I was promptly greeted. Thought for a moment that I was at a retail store at the mall being greeted! Hah! Whether you have an appointment or not, you sign-in and honestly without an appointment the wait is not long at all-- probably between 15-30 minutes. Obviously, mornings and weekends are probably the busiest since many people are fasting overnight and wanting to get their lab tests done or weekends work since they are busy during the week. Professional Service: The phlebotomists (people who draw your blood) are great. Friendly and professional. Listen-- they are gonna use their skills to make sure that they draw your blood/collect specimens from ya as best as they can. I don't know if you won't ever feel a little poke, so hey-- give them a break. Parking: There is plenty of lots available. However, depending on your lab test (I had a three hour test)-- make sure to look at the signs. There are areas where it's limited to 45-90 min. Not sure if there are parking attendants who check but just FYI. I think the closest parking lot structure is the one off of Magic Mountain Parkway near the Buca Di Beppo restaurant. Amenities: Listen-- if you've been fasting or just want to walk around afterwards, this is the perfect place. There are restaurants and stores :O) THREE hour glucose test: SO, I had the privilege of having to do a three hour glucose test. I made an appointment online but apparently the earlier appointments were taken. However, I was still able to walk-in and they do take walk-ins. The great feature of this location (I've been to a handful before) is that they have this separate area for me to rest while I wait to get my blood drawn (requires 4 total-- 1 at the beginning, which is the fasting one; and 1 at every hour until the 3rd hour). They have RECLINERS, which is so helpful for pregnant women! Literally I think that I could've slept in there. There's a nice flat screen TV that has a dvd player in it. They had a few dvds in there including "Father of the Bride" and I think that you can bring your own too b/c the phlebotomist asked me if I brought any with me. I was literally in my own secluded room and just hanging out reading and just relaxing, which helped the time pass by. The room did get a little cold, so maybe bring a sweater or something. I don't know if you can bring kids in there, so I would call/check. Four stars? The reason for the four stars would be because I did get poked a lot more than I should have but probably because my vessels started clotting and they had to find another site. Also, the appointment system online (more of something that the company as a whole probably needs to improve on; just had a hard time finding appointments but it is straightforward to use) and contacting the specific office weren't always easy BUT these were minor hiccups! This is the worst lab as far as customer service!!!! And patient care!!! This morning I took my 17 year old who has been suffering from severe Ulcerative Colitis/Crohns disease for lab work. She's been in pain for weeks and the doctor needs labs right away. We arrived at approx 1010am. The waiting room was packed with adults and kids. I am just getting over being sick and still coughing so I told my daughter I would wait outside, not even thinking they would need me. In fact Childrens,Hospital MAKES me wait outside sometime, so I didn't see a problem. Anyway, they close at 11am. At 1105 I texted my daughter to see if she was done. She said she was still waiting but they locked the doors so I had to stay outside. At 1115 she said they didn't have her insurance card on file, although we've been here several times. So I came up to the glass doors. They were locked so I slipped the card thru to her. Then she texted me that they wouldn't help her because I wasn't inside at that time and she was only 17. My daughter explained to the lady I was standing right on the other side of the door and couldn't come in because they closed it, (i was maybe 10 feet away)I was only out there because I didn't want to get kids and people sick. The girl said, too bad. They were short staffed and didnt have time for her excuseand walked my daughter to me at the door and escorted her out. I asked to speak with her supervisor and she replied that "oh, she isn't in today. BYE!" And shut the door! So we were there for an hour, my daughter still in pain, And no labs. All for nothing, because I was on the wrong side of a glass door even tho they saw my kid After they closed because They were short staffed!! Extremely unprofessional!! Was sent to the Valencia Quest location as the Quest location on Sand Canyon that I had an appointment at could not do the the test requested by my doctor. Was told by the location on Sand Canyon that they would call over to Valencia and tell them I was coming so I would not be considered a walk in as I did have an appointment at Sand Canyon. Arrived at Town Center in Valencia to be told that they did not receive a phone call from the Quest at Sand Canyon and I would be considered a walk in as I did not have an appointment there. I explained why I was there, but the man was very rude and said I would have to wait. I inquired as to the wait time, and he said "I do not know, maybe 30 minutes to an hour". I left as did not have time to wait for an unknown amount of time. The next available appointment I can make there is 8 days. This review is also about Quest and that when making an appointment online there was no information provided that covid antibody tests could not be done at all locations as if I had know that when I made the original appointment I could have picked the right location. read more

Rudest service out of any lab I have gone to. They wouldn't take the order that my doctor gave me for blood. They said it needed a signature. I've used the same order at other labs with no issue. Then they said I had to have my insurance card in hand. I've been here before without my card and not had an issue as my info is in their system. I don't understand why it matters as I'm the one that would be billed for it anyways. read more

The staff was extremely helpful. When I had 2 doctors order the same test they found a way to contact them both and have them communicate the result so that i would not be drawn and billed twice. They also handled all of the phone calls with my doctors so I would not be stressed in having to deal with it. The staff was funny and friendly. I Waited 2 weeks to get a Saturday morning appointment. Showed up 10 mins early only to be told that I must have my confirmation number (never needed it the multiple times I'd been there previously). Without the confirmation number I was told I would have to wait my turn behind the 20+ other people in the waiting room in their drab waiting room in really uncomfortable seating. By this time, dude at the desk had already split apart my paperwork. Uh, heck no... I'm not waiting. I asked for my paperwork back. To get both copies back I had to wait for the same guy to get a key and open the cabinet he deposited the copy in... This location has been going downhill in the past few years. Arrived 3 min before 4pm and the doors were locked!! I knocked and knocked and was ignored until the man pointed to his watch and said they are closed. This was for a stat blood test because of an emergency prior to a surgery and they already sent the forms here versus ER yet again today and to avoid another $180 charge! He would not open up! I highly recommend going to the Vons Quest on Newhall Ranch Road! I usually come here to do my annual blood test. The staff is friendly and they usually go quick. Sometimes this place does get super busy, so the wait time does get long. There has been times I had to wait an hour or longer to get called in, but there has also been times when I got called in right away. read more

I went to this location on Saturday feb 9 around 1030am, The receptionist at the front office informed Me I couldn't be seen anymore because the staff wouldn't be out by 11.. I felt he was very rude and he should of respected the time this location was open 7-11am, and not turn me away because he just wanted to be out on time, when I got there before closing.. read more

The worst lab. They have terrible organization. Never enough staff. Always at least a 45 min wait. They call you up get your lab slip and insurance info and you wait another 40 min. It is better to have an appt however when you go to make it online they are always booked. And they mess up the labs and then blame the doctors They said the doctor didn't check it when they did because I saw it! Quest company is a cheap lab with terrible patient and doctors service. They get business because they are the biggest and they are just about quantity not quality. In Valencia use Henry mayo. They will take quest lab slips. read more

They are very slow , seems like only one person is working inside . They need to hire more people to do lab work. Our wait on a Tuesday 10am walk in is about 35 min, more wait inside after being called to go in . So total time when done about 1 hour. In my experience, this is the longest it took to get blood work ever! I ask front desk if I can make appt for future blood work, he said just walk in ? ? ? Also noted there's only 4 other people waiting outside and about 2 inside . The staff who works there are ok no problem there! read more

I have difficult veins to find so I've had bad experiences at other facilities, but this place is the worst. Certain individuals in the afternoon are particularly rude, arrogant, and incompetent. The wait is always long. Morning staff seems much better, but due to my schedule, it is difficult to go at that time. I wish my doctor would send me to lab corp :( read more

The service is good at quest, However the billing is the worst, I have been billed more then 5 times for the same test. They even sent me to collection and I paid it. Now again collections calling for the same test that were paid. The WORST I will have my doctor send me anywhere but there. DON'T go to Quest read more
