The loud "call outs" made us feel as if the employees knew what they were doing. I would like to mention that a consumer would like to hear more about the process. Step by step, would be appreciated. We asked for the "oil change" notice, on the dashboard, to be cleared. It was not. We had to ask, again, at the end. The oil change notice has appeared, again. The fluids were topped off and the staff was really kind! This was a great experience! A few flaws. Overall, we will come back to this location. Thank you! It's hard to find a trustworthy oil change.

He scanned the inside of my door and pulled up my info instantly. He informed Rudy of my oil change and he started on it right away. Rudy showed me my filter and stated it was good could probably go 2 or 3 more oil changes before replacing. Once completed, they had me start my car twice before pulling off. Michael reset my oil light for me. I got a full synthetic oil change which cost me $114 but I had a coupon from their website for $15 off. Overall Michael and Rudy were very nice and explained the whole process as they worked. Would definitely return. Forgot to mention, you stay in your car the whole time too.

They are very honest about what is or is not needed (spoiler: something your other mechanic told you might not be necessary yet or needed at all). Example: my other place told me that I needed to get rotors replaced (over $1000). This place told me that (1) I could wait until my next oil change in 6000 miles, (2) that they have a machine to resurface rotors instead of replacing them entirely, (3) that it would only cost me about one-third what the other place quoted. They are highly knowledgeable and they are also really good at finding deals. I referred a friend here who needed a part replacing and they called up different car yards to find the part to save her money (of course you can always get the more expensive versions of things too if you want). My friend just really appreciated that they were trying to help her save money. So yeah five out of five. I drive an hour out of my way just to come to these guys here.

Can't say enough kind things about Tony and Mauricio at Mechanics Near Me. Helpful, professional…read moreand above all, honest. I had a Mazda CX5 that wouldn't start in the morning. Once jumped, it was good for the rest of the day. I would have thought bad battery but the battery was six month's old and had been working perfectly until a week prior. So, I get it started and go see the nice guys at my neighborhood AutoZone (University, in RR). They kindly ran their diagnostic module on my car and it pronounced the battery good and that my charging current failed. They pronounced it 'bad alternator' and I accepted their diagnosis and began looking for a mobile mechanic to replace the alternator. Anyway, after numerous nebulous texts to a litany of mobile mechanics and unable to nail one down on either time/price or both, I contacted Tony at MnM. I dropped the car off and within an hour he called me and said my alternator's fine but your battery's cracked. So, picked up the battery and swapped it out at Costco and took the new one back to MnM and shortly they had me up and running. Paid them a pittance for the diagnostic and battery R&R and went on my way. The headline here is; Honest Mechanic found in Georgetown!. They're my guys now.

But this was fluid service, (the nasty stuff) trans fluid flush and fill, brake fluid flush, rear differential drain and fill, + my AC wasn't cooling as well. I did my homework and gathered about 5 estimates for this service from local shops and Toyota dealerships. Prices were coming in anywhere from $1000 - $1500. I stopped in at Christian Brothers in Leander on Sonny Drive and spoke to Brandon. He text me a written quote, which came out about half of what the other shops were asking. They also give a "Veterans/First responders" discount. Their work was professional, and they communicated with me all the time. They sent a video of a free service inspection of my truck, pointing out any areas of concern. I think I've found my back up mechanic for anything I can't do or just don't want to. Thanks Brandon and the team at Christian Brothers in Leander. My truck drives straight and the AC works like new. Michael C. - Georgetown, Tx.

UPDATE to owners response (Check Photos):…read more I strongly dispute the claim that my vehicle had "years of neglect." I have documentation showing I received consistent oil changes and maintained the vehicle. If Christian Brothers is going to make that public statement, I am requesting that you provide the specific records, dates, inspection findings, and supporting documentation you are relying on to claim neglect. My concern remains the same: I paid for major repairs, the vehicle failed shortly after, and my concerns were not meaningfully investigated. I am not asking for assumptions -- I am asking for documentation, accountability, and a fair resolution. The central issue is the timing. I drove my vehicle without engine failure for months before bringing it to your shop. After relying on your diagnostics and authorizing nearly $4,000 in repairs, I picked the vehicle up and the engine failed within a day. Given that timeline, attributing the failure to "years of neglect" without supporting documentation is an overreaching conclusion that appears designed to shift blame rather than address my concerns. I repeatedly informed the shop that I was preparing for a long trip and wanted everything thoroughly checked before approving repairs. I was told further diagnosis could not be completed until the turbo work was done. After the repairs, I was told the vehicle was good to go, which led me to believe all necessary inspections had been completed. The engine failed within a day of pickup, which is why I continue to question whether everything was properly diagnosed before the vehicle was returned to me. _____________________ My experience with Christian Brothers Automotive Leander has been extremely frustrating. I brought my Hyundai Tucson in for major repairs totaling nearly $4,000. Before authorizing the work, I specifically asked that the vehicle be thoroughly diagnosed and that any known issues or potential issues be identified so I could make informed decisions. Shortly after the repairs were completed, the vehicle developed severe engine knocking and became inoperable. The timing alone was alarming. I expected the shop to take my concerns seriously and work collaboratively toward answers. Instead, I was largely left to manage the situation myself while dealing with towing expenses, rental costs, missed work concerns, and the stress of being stranded with my child. The biggest issue for me has been customer service after the failure occurred. Communication became difficult, and I felt that my concerns were dismissed rather than investigated

It was impressed on me that these repairs were critical for safety. The person on the phone even made comments about how glad they were that we were safe as the brakes were metal on metal, etc.The written estimate that arrived was much higher and still had these things listed as critical along with a few smaller issues. When I requested an itemized breakdown and compared parts prices to AutoZone retail, I found parts were marked up over 2x retail across the board. When I called to ask about this, prices dropped immediately without any additional information from me. It took them over night to send the original estimate but the new one arrived within minutes of my texting. I ultimately approved only the wheel bearing and lug stud repair and negotiated the price down. The actual safety critical item, one lug nut holding the wheel on, was buried after the full upsell menu was presented. Several items were listed as critical on that quote that they later said were not actually critical. I posted anonymously in a local group asking for honest mechanic recommendations. The owner identified me by my comments, I guess, and referenced my vehicle publicly to signal he knew who I was. I feel as if this might have been an attempt to get me to remove my anonymous post. Multiple other folks in the comments described identical experiences including false "metal on metal" urgency that softened the moment they pushed back. The work was done and we picked up the car this morning. The process to get to that point was frustrating. Since I only see good reviews I wanted to offer another perspective. The staff is very nice and the banter when we came in was fun. But nice is not the same as honest. I would advise anyone using this place to check retail prices of parts. And since they always offer better prices with push back, everyone who deals with them should question their prices. Some labor costs were good and some were listed at the high end for the area but not ridiculously so. The biggest price "padding" was in the parts themselves. The work seems good at this time, if you want to pay extra for parts in order to be treated nice in a fancy waiting room, I suppose it's worth it to pay more for that service but it's a nah from us. Thanks.

I've never had to return a car to Jerry's because they got it wrong. They understand the problem and work through the options with you before they start the repair; then the result comes out perfect every time! This is what you would expect from any shop that wants your business, but that is definitely not the case. Many other mechanics hide how confounded they are with your car's issue, or they perform a repair that fails or has to be redone soon after. I've never had that hassle with Jerry's. Never. PRICE. Jerry's prices do not raise your suspicions. And, they will help you with 'get by' repairs if that is all you need at the time. HUMANITARIANS. More than a great price for a repair you can trust, the folks at Jerry's care about you. Todd and Charlie (maybe others in the staff) are veterans with good educations and superb mechanic skills who are running a family-owned shop that intends to keep customers coming back for generations.
