Yes the phone operator can be abrupt and sometimes you think she may not have understood you. But you just need to have her repeat back the information. I actually talked to two different operators... the 2nd one was friendlier and spoke fluent english. Nevertheless, they got the time and place correct and the cab drivers were on time for our pickup from JFK to Manhattan and back. Very courteous and friendly drivers. We got a van for 5 people for $60 + toll + tip. Came out to $80 each way but so worth it. When we arrived at JFK, we saw a long line of people (about 50 deep) waiting for cabs. I called the number and told them we had arrived and they told us to wait at the passenger pick up area. The driver arrived within 2 minutes and we were on our way. The van was very clean and new. It took an hour to get into the city because of the traffic but it was so much quicker than I thought, especially if we had to wait in the long cab line. The day before we left, I called for pickup from our hotel. We had an early flight and were picked up at 6:45AM and the cab driver got us to JFK in 30 minutes! No kidding! Next time I come back to NYC, I will definitely call Quick Ride. Book with them, they are worth it! read more

I found these guys thanks to Yelp and used them last weekend to get from and to EWR. I'd use them again in a heartbeat. Make sure to bring your ghetto roll since they only take cash! I called two days prior to arriving at EWR and the dispatcher took some flight info and told me to call her when we hit baggage claim. Did that and there was a comfy Acura MDX at the curb within minutes. On the return, I called the day before, she took my cell number from caller ID, and told me they'd call when the car was out front. Sure enough, 10 minutes early, I get a call telling me the Lincoln was ready for us whenever we were ready. Both drivers were safe, courteous, and helped us with our bags. Took this to LGA in the wee hours. The car was on time and very clean, the driver was pleasant, and the trip was swift and uneventful. I was given an opportunity to choose my route, thereby allowing me to avoid the toll. Oh, I forgot the price. Reasonable! Fifteen bucks cheaper than the return trip by yellow cab! AMAZING experience. I used them from JFK to my hotel in Long Island City and on the return trip back to JFK. They were on time (even ten minutes early on the return trip), clean, friendly, professional and helpful. I called around to a few car service agencies and they by far had the most reasonable rates. It was $40 bucks each way and other companies were charging well over $50 bucks. The dispatcher was incredibly professional and helpful when trying to connect us with our driver. Our driver picking us up from JFK was especially patient. Our flight was delayed flying into NY due to a medical emergency on the plane. He waited an additional 1 hour and a half for us. He never charged us any additional fees nor did the rate change because of the time. He just kept driving around the airport waiting for us until we came. Of course, I tipped him extremely well. I will say, I read in the other reviews that other people had issues with them being late. NY is a very overcrowded area with MAJOR traffic ( I can't emphasize enough how MUCH traffic there is). I'm sure there will be occasions where nothing can be helped. Please don't let that derail you from using this company. They are an overall great company and could not recommend them enough! A quick call to a number where they answer in Chinese then adjust to English when they sense your confusion. Very efficient phone call like one review described. i don't think they ever even took my name which seems really odd. They just know it's you when they see you standing where you said you were going to be i guess.So without this review, there is hardly any trace of my using this service aside from the brief phone call that took so little time, it could be misconstrued as calling a wrong number.They just wanted to know time and airline, then gave me the cost $45 + $7 tolls + tip. Pretty simple and pretty smooth. Got us to and from the airport on time and in one piece. We had varying driving styles by our two drivers. Coming into the city was a very smooth, non-taxi driver approach of driving which i liked. Returning to the airport, our driver was not afraid to toot his own car horn and was a bit more of the expected NYC aggressive driving approach, in a reasonable fashion. After reading yelp reviews, I quickly booked a car with this service. We flew in to NYC from Louisiana. They picked us up from LaGuardia and brought us to our hotel in midtown. $35! That's better than a standard taxi! They were really friendly and very punctual. Naturally, when it came time to leave, we called them for a ride to JFK airport. We asked for a car 5:30 am and he was there at 5:15! Definitely remembering them for my next trip to the city. I've used Quick Ride a few times to get to JFK, the last being on a trip to Iceland. I was delayed at work with a conference call, but Quick Ride got to my apartment efficiently enough. Shortly after getting out of the city, our van got a flat tire... I was already a bit stressed out after leaving later than planned, so obviously this didn't help. I called them during my layover in TX for pick-up in a few hours from La Guardia. Dispatcher's English was accented but easy enough to understand. Very straightforward booking process, no pre-payment etc. Was told to call again after I got my bags at the airport. I arrived at La Guardia 20 minutes ahead of schedule, called the number again, and was told by the dispatcher that "Black Toyota, number 288, already here, waiting in the middle." I head to the pick-up area, and there it was, a spanking new, clean, Prius V was waiting. Driver was helpful with bags, courteous, and very quiet. He also drove safely (by Manhattan standards) and got us exactly where we needed to be. Return trip via JFK: Dispatcher spoke much better English, was polite and helpful. I got a call from the dispatcher about 10 minutes prior to my pick-up time, saying the driver is almost arriving. I glance out the window, and sure enough, a black Lincoln towncar just pulled up. Car was clean, driver was helpful with bags, courteous, and quiet. I wish I knew about Quick Ride Corp sooner. The AirTrain is too much trouble, the shared shuttles are a horrible waste of time, and waiting for cabs just isn't worth it anymore compared to this. Used this service as my initial airport transfer. We flew into JFK and needed a ride to midtown Manhattan and I'm not a fan of cabs. Saw they had decent reviews on Yelp and seemed like fair pricing so I gave it a shot. Called the day before to book, gave them my my flight info and they told me to call them back to let them know when I arrived and had my bags. My flight ended up being delayed a few hours but when I called my ride was still there with no wait charge. The dispatch told me where to wait, what car to look for and my drivers number so the car was easy to identify when I pulled up. Took a bit over an hour to get to our destination and the price was what I had been quoted ($45 plus $8 for the toll). What I didn't like about the service was its cash only. I get that cards charge fees and stuff but it's 2016, no one carries much cash anymore. Also they don't have a website. And my final thing and the reason I only gave 3 stars was the driver was kinda reckless, weaving in and out of traffic, quick turns, etc. Felt like being in a cab and it honestly scared my mom. The driver was nice, but I wish he didn't drive so crazy. I would rather have a safe driver and a smooth ride and get to town a little later then be freaked out the whole ride. Bottom line, good price as long as your cool with crazy driving and cash only. read more

I don't know why these guys lost a star since last time I checked. I've used them several times since 2012 and they are nice, reliable, arrive early and have clean cars, oh, and fixed rates (Uber, anyone?). What else do people want? The first time I called them I told them that I needed two SUVs to pick my family and our 12 suitcases... and I gave them a foreign cell number... and still, there they were, right on time.. I had used Quick Ride car service from JFK to Rockland Co several times over the past few years while visiting family in NY. I found Quick Ride via Yelp, and while the drivers were good about showing up on time and pleasant to talk with - that's were the positives end. Each time I would request a non-smoking car and was told that all of their cars are non-smoking. However, it appears that most of their drivers smoke cigarettes outside the car while waiting for you - then enter the car smelling of cigarette smoke! So then I began asking for a non-smoking driver (in a non-smoking car) and each time was told that my needs would be accommodated; unfortunately, they consistently failed honor my health-related requests. In fact, the final time I utilized Quick Ride's services, the driver was smoking outside the car in our driveway - which I could smell through an open window in the bedroom as I gathered my things. I immediately called Quick Ride to complain (which was not the first time I did so about this same issue), and received a blanket apology. I replied by stating that I would never use their services again - and have not done so. The last time I visited, they also told me the tolls rates had increased by $5 each way, so the trip would cost more. During the course of conversation, the driver told me that was untrue and they were clearly just charging me more and blamed it on the tolls. If you don't mind the lingering smell of cigarette smoke, Quick Ride is likely a good choice. However, they were not a good choice for me. Fortunately, I have since found a much better car service who takes pride in providing excellent customer service. Needless to say, cigarette smoke is not an issue. read more

I used them for 4 rides total during my 6 days in NYC. Cash only. For reassurance purpose, I called hours in advance to confirm my car service. They seem very busy and I'd hate to miscommunicate a pickup day/time. They were always 15 minutes early waiting outside the hotel. If you're getting picked up at the airport, call them as soon as you have all your luggage's claimed and they will be right there in minutes. The drivers were very nice and always helped with my bags. Cars were clean. They are very accommodating when it comes to the exact instructions where you'd like to get dropped off or picked up. I used this service from LGA to Manhattan in the evening. The driver was at the airport in about 10 minutes, faster than our luggage from baggage claim. The dispatcher has a slight accent, but is quick and efficient at getting a car out. We had no problems with the ride, it was quick, comfortable, and easy. ($35 flat rate + $7 toll + tip) I will call them again. If the service is just as good, I will add one more star. So far, so good! read more

Zero stars for picking up from the airport... =( The first time we tried it, we waited at least half an hour chasing down every town car to ask if it was them because we were told that the car was already there, circling, and looking for us. He finally showed up and it was in a car that we had definitely not seen circling. Either it was really poor communication and he was in the wrong place even though we were constantly telling the dispatcher which door we were at or they were lying to keep us placated and he was just running late. If they can't send a car within 15 minutes, they ask you to call back later. The drivers are professional and the cars are very clean. It is cash only, but the prices are a great deal. I got a chance to talk to Alan Tam of quick ride corporation he seems very helpful and informative. After waiting at Triple-A for a long time to get a travel agent service I decided to try yelp and find ground transportation for my upcoming trip to New York City. The charges seemed reasonable (gotta pay all CASH) and was quick to respond. I guess CASH IS KING! $54 passenger car (to hold the luggages) & $69 for a larger size van to hold 7 passengers. This price included toll bridges. If we wanted to stop off in Chinatown and have our bowl of wonton noodles the driver will then have to charge us $30 for each half hour of wait time. We will decide then. I will write more next week and review the drivers and the company, so far they haven't disappointed me. It was very helpful to have spoken Cantonese with Alan. Super Easy and Reliable. Call them, give them your address, time for pick up and your phone number and you're good to go! They'll always be there on-time to pick you up and get you to your destination. We've used this service several times and they have never failed us. But few things you should know: 1) It's a Chinatown business...you may not always understand the person you're speaking to on the phone when making a reservation, but they understand you and they'll get the necessary details. No need to make extra small talk. 2) It's a Chinatown business... naturally, it'll be cheaper if you come from Chinatown/LES. We've used this when lived in that area last year and it's cheaper then than now that I live in Brooklyn much closer to LGA/JFK. Regardless, I choose them over other closer car services to my area because of the reliability. 3) It's a Chinatown business... so don't be surprised that it's CASH only. read more

I was so surprised they were not on Asian time and arrived early! I use them twice, and each time arrived EARLY and called me that they were there and for me to come down. Service was great! They drive pretty fast too if they know you are in a rush but if its traffic you really can't do much about that. Its approximately $40 bucks to the airport JFK and back to Lower East Side. So much cheaper than those 666 and 777 guys! One of my pickups was from JFK and I was SO nervous about it but I called after I landed and the driver was there before I would have even gotten a yellow cab. It was $40 something to the E vill. Called to reserve a round trip transportation service (picked this one based on the yelp reviews). from JFK to Broadway she quoted me $45 (with 3 passengers and 3 luggages). Pretty good price for one way. Airlink is $77.40 round trip but you have to share, but this one you don't have to share!!! and price is right :D They said "cash only" but that's ok. Had to fly into JFK and had very little time to get from the airport to a meeting in times square. Yelp members thank you. I spoke to the dispatcher gave her my flight info, airline, time of arrival, and she confirmed my phone number per caller ID in the morning. She never asked for my name which I thought was a little odd. She just told me to call when I land. I called her when I landed and the driver picked me up at door 3 outside in a extremely clean blue lincoln town car (the blue stands out in a sea of black cars) in about 5 minutes. Couldn't ask for anything more. The driver was extremely courtesy, knew to navigate through the city, and car was extremely clean. My fair was 45 plus 8 dollar toll fee. I also tipped on that because I couldn't ask for better service. The driver was so appreciative and gracious. I will definitely be using them again and recommending them to everyone. A couple of tips The taxi line at JFK takes forever and that is another reason to use this car service. Their prices are a little less than a cab While you are waiting you will see several black sedans and SUV trying to pick you up. They are operating illegally. We have this problem in Florida too. Licensed drivers have a sticker on their car and will waive a number in the air when they arrive. They will also have the passengers rights posted in an area for passengers to see. Do not get in unmarked cars. They will charge what they want and don't carry the proper insurance. Safety first. Uber can only pick you up at the cell phone lot or limo lot and is much more expensive plus who knows if there will be a surcharge. Tip read more

Wish I could rate more than 5 stars. I was nervous because I couldn't find a website for this company -- but I called yesterday PM for a ride I needed at 4 am today -- West Village to Newark Airport. Ride showed up early, at 3:50 AM - and before I went downstairs I got a call from the company to let me know he was here. I specifically noticed that the girl on the phone sounded miraculously chipper and positive for 3:50 AM! Driver was quiet and seemed nice/fine. Drove a little fast - but left my apt at 3:59 and got to the airport at 4:18, I think. Miraculous. $43 + $18 for tolls + a big tip, because was totally worth it. read more

Used them twice over the past week to get from Newark Airport to and from Manhattan. I think the fare varies slightly depending on where in Manhattan you are going, but for me it was $43 flat rate + $13 Holland Tunnel tolls = $56 total. Way cheaper than if you were to get a cab. They also mentioned that Manhattan to JFK is about $40, which is cheaper than Yellow Cab's $52 + tolls. Dispatcher called me when the car was ready with the car # and description. Inside the cars, they have all valid licenses displayed, etc... Definitely calling these guys again when I'm headed back to New York. Very convenient and dispatcher line is open 24/7. Very friendly drivers, no complaints whatsoever. read more

This company doesn't have a website, doesn't seem to do a lot of advertising but I found them on Yelp when looking for a car service with good ratings. This company was great and I used them twice while in NYC. The cars were fine - both times I had a minivan. The drivers both arrived prior to the planned time and the rides were good. Neither driver was easy to understand but they understood me and I don't really like chatty drivers so it was perfect. The prices were very competitive, so on top of great service, it was affordable. Said 15mins - waited more than 30min, took a taxi RIDE #3: pre booked back to airport. Car clean, nice driver. same deal ride + tolls. HOWEVER, we never went through the toll gates. I really wanted Quick Ride to come good. I've used them before with no issues but when my friend came to visit, she needed a taxi service to get to JFK and I recommended Quick Ride. Her flight was at 10:15 PM and we booked a car for 6 PM. 6:10, no car. We called and were told 10 minutes. 6:20, no car. She had plenty of margin for error, so I decided to wait another 15 minutes. 6:35, I called - couldn't get through. Called twice more, and finally got through at 6:47 PM, where we were told the car was 5-10 minutes away at Allen and Delancey. In my experience, 5-10 minutes to my place from Allen and Delancey in normal traffic is unrealistic, so we settled in for a 15-20 minute wait. At 7:07, half an hour after my previous call, I called again and was told 5-10 minutes, which I pointed out was what we had already been told twice. Finally, at 7:19, we were told that the car was a couple of minutes away, and 80 minutes after the originally scheduled appointment, my friend got into the car for JFK. She told me the car driver was very apologetic and waived tolls, but it's hard to trust Quick Ride again after this. Fortunately we were conservative with our time estimates and could afford to wait. There were no cabs and Uber's surge pricing was 3.75x to 4.0x due to bad weather and Quick Ride's egregiously bad estimates could have left my friend very, very stranded. I understand that it's hard to plan timings with bad weather but to be told three times to wait for 10 minutes when that was plainly not realistic is inexcusable, especially when their business depends on their ability to be punctual.
