These are my peeps, Cantonese speaking drivers that provide quick and efficient shuttle service for us to and back to JFK. Their service is $20-25 cheaper than taking the Taxi or calling other shuttle services, while still providing just as good as the service. At the pick up trip I called them about 2 week ahead to reserve a car for pick up from JFK, got picked up at Passenger Pick Up Zone C by a new Toyota Highlander. The driver was waving a sign "Quick Ride" you won't missed them. On our return trip, we were picked up from Park Hyatt Hotel near Central park by a older Lincoln Towncar, and due to traffic in the city, the driver took all these alternate route to get to JFK asap. $45 + toll + tip, so very good deal. I would call them again if I needed pick up in NY. read more

Sorry, the driver was very nice but... 1. The car seat for our daughter was flimsy and uncomfortable. 2. In the tunnel, the driver kept bumping into the divider poles. She wasn't driving very safely during the ride. 3. We waited for 10 minutes at the airport because she couldn't find where we were. 4. We thought she would use some kind of gps navigation app to avoid traffic, but we stood in traffic for a very long time. 5. She held her phone during the entire ride because her phone stand broke. That is very unsafe, we were petrified. She was very nice and tried to put songs for our daughter on YouTube but that meant searching her phone for videos while she was driving!!! She was so nice so I felt bad and wasn't going to write anything. But since there were safety issues I felt like I had to. We won't be using Quickride again. read more

After using uber (which works well but charges 20-30% more and they take 10% off the top from the drivers!), decided to put my trust in yelp and called these guys. For the cynical East coaster in me its hard to believe a company without a website could really work. But they do. Called late for an o-dark-thirty pickup and a nice town car arrived 15 minutes early for our trip. Never been to New York but, based on the feedback I received from friends/family who have traveled to NY. We flew out from SFO to Newark and arrived closer to midnight. Not familiar with the fact that there are 2 tolls to cross, a friend of mine recommended Uber but, be prepared that it might be limited since we were arriving late or some drivers who wouldn't travel to NY. So of course I went on yelp and looked up a car service that would pick us up from Newark and drive us to the East Village. I saw on yelp that people were really happy with this service so figured why not try it out. Scheduling: Called in a week before our travel date to get a quote. We were quoted $43 + $16 for toll/bridges (without tip) and to make sure we have CASH ON HAND. I provided our Airline and arrival time and was instructed to call when we land. Pick up: We arrived to Newark on time but, we didn't get out of the place until 15 minutes after. The call center/dispatcher left me a message and asked I call her when we land. Once I called she let me know that our driver would be picking us up and she told us where to go, what color and type of car, and what # car he is. Within 5 minutes, our driver was picked us up. I wish I got his name, but, he was very friendly and his car (Honda CR-V) was very clean and free of any debris/odor. Despite the NJ/NYC traffic due to construction, he got us to our location quickly and safely. We paid our driver, tipped him as he helped us with our bags and thanked him! We had such a great experience when we arrived that we called Quick Ride Corp for our ride to the airport heading home and it was a great experience as well. Our 2nd driver was just as friendly, town car very clean, and got us to the airport safely. After my normal New Day Dispatch car service went wonky (phone disconnected?) before a recent early morning flight I yelped up a new place to try out, and ended up finding my new go-to airport transportation. Considering that a cab runs $45 to JFK flat-rate, taking a car solo that shows up 10 minutes before the scheduled pick-up that's driven by a friendly face is a thing of beauty. Reliable, dependable transporation to/from JFK to Manhattan for under $40 (cabs are $45). Just give them a call before your flight and tell them you need a ride and they'll take care of the rest. Our flight was delayed a little more than an hour when we flew into NY, and our driver told us he had been waiting for us near the airport for 2 hours. It's a Chinese company, so you may have to fight through the accents if you're not used to them, but they are always on the ball and on time so you won't miss your flight. read more

Drinking & Driving = NO GOOD! I own a car. Doesn't mean I should drive it during an evening of boozing. As we all know, drunk driving is BAD! With the subway systems in disarraying during the weekends, I was forced to look for an alternative means of transportation home without having to go through 7 transfers via the MTA. Luckily, Yelp in all its glory, revealed a result for Quick Ride Corporation. I quickly entered the number into the Blackberry and headed out for the evening endeavors. After about 5 hours of dining and boozing, I called Quick Ride Corporation and revealed the location for which I was station. A Lincoln Town Car was sent to pick me up in just 5 minutes after hanging up. Upon entry into the car, the friendly driver confirmed that I was going to Brooklyn. I should emphasize, the interior of the livery car itself was surprisingly clean. There was little clutter or debris and the leather seating was free of scratches or tears. The lack of reinforced bullet proof glass divider allowed for a smooth dialogue with the driver. Damages? A mere $23! To put that in perspective, a cab ride from the Lower East Side to the Upper East Side would cost $16 before tip! For $23, I could get to SOUTH BROOKLYN! That's freakin cheap. 35 minutes later, I arrived home. The ride itself was smooth and easy, as the driver didn't undergo reckless abandonment to get me from point A to point B. The best car service in the city. $40 flat rate to/from JFK, $30 to/from LGA via East Village. How I came to find Quick Ride was a little like the story of Goldilocks & the three bears. I tried other methods of transportation to and from the airports around NYC, from Uber, to Carmel, Super Shuttle, and some other rando car services I can't even name...I was never satisfied. Either the rates were too high, the time it took to get me places took too long, they were LATE with pickups, or the automobile I was in reeked of cigarettes & B.O. (All true stories, by the way.) Then I found Quick Ride through this trusty website and haven't looked back since. For starters, I don't care that they don't have a website. They don't need one because whatever they're doing works. If you hate talking to people on the phone, there's really nothing to worry about. Whoever is on the other line at Quick Ride is literally 'quick' at taking down your pickup or drop off info and locking it in the system. I ALWAYS get picked up on time (or even earlier for that matter) and have never been late to the airport coming from my apartment in the East Village - which takes about 45-1 hour at most. They've also been consistent with airport pickups, and if anything are just 10 minutes behind schedule, which I don't mind. Reasonably priced, on time, and cash only! If you are looking for a sweet disposition you should probably call a higher priced car service that will give you the sweetness you pay for. I found the operator to be knowledgeable and clear, and honestly I don't need much else, you can be as quick or curt as you want! Process (for those that are new like I was): 1. Call day before your flight 2. Give them time and airline and flight number 3. Efficient operator will tell you to call when you get off plane, tell you 45.00 plus toll, cash only, thank you and hang up 4. Call when you're off plane 5. Operation will tell you driver is in cell lot and about 10 mins away, will ask if you checked a bag and then tell you to head out to the car pick up in middle island go to letter C look for (specific type) of car with a (specific) number 6. Follow directions 7. Get in car (the guy will be driving holding a number in the window, just flag him down) 8. Sit back and enjoy the car ride in which you saved moolah and didn't have to wait in the taxi line like a shmuck! 9. You win at life! 10. Repeat for your next trip Don't forget to bring cash, and don't forget to tip your driver, you saved on the car ride and your driver was probably pretty good too! Used them twice over the last few days, CASH ONLY, both trips were great. The lady that picks up the phone is sharp...doesn't need your name, just gets your tel # from the caller ID, need the date/time for pick-up and gives you a price; end of deal. The whole conversation is a minute or less, some may think it's rather abrupt but to me that's efficiency. The driver will have a white "QUICK RIDE CORP # _ _ _" displayed on the passenger side window allowing you to quickly identify the car (and 5-10 minutes prior to pick up, the operator will tell you what car to expect... "black lincoln #138"). EWR to Midtown manhattan, i think it was about $50-55 plus tolls ($17.50?); slightly cheaper than a cab, but it was a clean Prius V. Upper east manhattan to JFK, $45 + toll ($7.50) doing rush hour; driver showed up exactly on time, super clean Lincoln Town car. Both times the drivers were courteous and quiet (which is nice after a long 6-7 hour flight) and they drove like normal human beings (aka not like taxi drivers). I will use them again in the future. Tip: You may want to let the operator know how many people are in your party and if you have a ton of luggage so they send a car big enough for your party. In my case, it was just me, but i can imagine if you come with 5 people and 10 bags, some of their cars won't exactly cut it right... read more

BEST airport transportation ever. I was hesitant to call them last night because I don't like splurging for transportation when I can take a train or bus to the airport for much less... but I needed to catch a 6am flight. I called them up and a really nice, helpful dispatcher gave me a quote and told me it's cash only, and that the quote does not include tolls. WOW Moment #1: They're telling me the quote and the fine print up front instead of shocking me at the end with ridiculous extra fees? Thank you! :) When I told him I'd like a 4am pick-up, he advised that traffic is usually very light this early in the day and suggested that with a 4:30am pick-up, I could still be at the airport by 5am. WOW Moment #2: They're resourceful without making me feel like an idiot for thinking it's gonna take me an hour to get to the airport. After making the reservation, he confirmed my pick-up and drop-off locations, then told me that they would call me prior to my pick-up the next day. WOW Moment #3: They're clear, concise and they give me just enough information. Normally, when I call dispatchers, I always feel like I have to repeat myself several times because there's always a lot of background noise or they don't speak English. ("I SAID BETWEEN JOHN AND WILLIAM, DAMMIT... How many other ways can you spell JOHN and WILLIAM?" At 4:22am exactly the following morning, (the same?) dispatcher called to inform me that a silver lexus with the number 338 is waiting for me whenever I'm ready. WOW Moment #4: They picked me up 5 minutes early! Unlike riding in a cab or an airport shuttle/bus, my car ride did not leave me feeling nauseous, annoyed or fearing for my life. And best of all, the price was EXACTLY as quoted... which was cheap! I'm very happy with my Quick Ride and would recommend it to everyone and their grandma. read more

I'm thoroughly impressed with these guys - on time, clean car, and a very professional demeanor. I'd highly recommend them if you're looking for car service in the NYC area. We booked a car to take us from SoHo to Long Beach, and for $60 we were very happy with the ease and comfort of dealing with Quick Ride. As I mentioned, the driver was waiting for us in front of our hotel at the designated pick-up time, and even sent us a text to let us know he had arrived, albeit a bit early. He told us no rush, and as we approached the car he got out to take our baggage and introduce himself. Another thing I appreciated: he waited for us to initiate conversation, rather than launching into some jabber to fill the quiet. It's a little thing, but it certainly goes along with the whole 'comfort' thing as sometimes, you just need a little peace and quiet and want to enjoy the ride. The driver took great care to select the route with the least amount of traffic, getting us there in record time without speeding or being at all aggressive, which is a rarity in NY. Upon arrival, he quickly got our luggage for us, and with a quick handshake and smile, he was off. We had paid for the service via cc upon booking, so no money was discussed and we gladly handed him a tip. I had a 6:30am flight out of JFK and wasn't sure what the best option was to get out of Manhattan at 4am, until my friend recommended Quick Ride Corp. Her and her husband have been using them for a while now, both for pickups at home and at the airport, and have been pleased with the service. They're able to schedule a car at ANY hour of the day! I called on Monday afternoon, to schedule a car to pick me up on Tuesday at 4am. It was easy to schedule, and immediately, they were able to quote me the fare. Then they provided a courtesy call as soon as the driver arrived, which was 10 minutes earlier than scheduled. It was great that they were prompt. While the dispatcher wasn't able to tell me the name of the driver who was picking me up, she was able to tell me the color of the van and the vehicle number, which was nice. From the Financial District to JFK at 4am on a Tuesday morning, I was able to get there in about 30 minutes, for $40 cash. This is definitely a great option for airport shuttle services! I've talked to a few others who have fewer drivers and either book up early or are unwilling to take passengers at odd hours of the day. read more

Quick Ride has been slacking off. I'm finding another car company. I had trusted Quick Ride to take my parents to the airport; they were not pleased. When my mom went to the airport, she was quoted a $45 fare, plus $9 for toll. That came down to $60. Why? Because the driver claimed "the bags were heavy" and he would charge extra for them. That's unreasonable, and left a sour taste in my mouth. Still cheaper than a taxi, but I'm pretty sure they're not the only car service around. read more

After doing loads of research for a car service vs Uber for an upcoming trip to NYC where we arrive to LaGuardia late at night and head towards Jersey City I read these reviews about Quick Ride. I phoned them and they explained exactly what I need to do, how to pay the driver and where to wait upon arrival. The price was at least 25% lower than any other quote and that includes tolls. There are a handful of places I don't want to review because I want them to stay mine. This is one of those places. I recently had to start traveling for work a lot, so I've used them to get to and from LGA, JFK, and EWR multiple times. I have never had any problems, whether it's for a car at the crack of dawn (5 am, LGA, to Miami) or a rush hour international arrival (7 pm, EWR, Beijing). It is a little weird how you just tell them when your flight is due to arrive and you call them when you're really there, but I've never had any problems with it. The cars are always early, in the right place, and cleaner than most cars I've owned. The only small bummer is cash only, but I'll happily take this over trying to grab a cab on the street. Traveling is stressful enough, why add to the possibilities for things going wrong? General fares to/from UWS: $35 to LGA (plus any tolls you might incur - you can tell 'em which bridge you want to take), $48 to EWR (def plus about $15 of tolls). read more

I had a 6 AM flight at JFK and, wanting to avoid the early SuperShuttle pickups, I decided to give Quick Ride Corp a call. I was only on the phone with the lady for about thirty seconds, in which she took my address and scheduled a 4:30 AM pick up time -- really straightforward. I got a call at 4:25 AM that my car was waiting for me downstairs. From the East Village, I was at my terminal by 4:55 AM! Cash only ($40), super reasonably priced. This is the best and cheapest car service in the city! I used it for the first time last week and will continue to use them. Much cheaper and just as good as Dial7 and Carmel. There is a lot of chatter about the dispatchers accent when you call. Let me put an end to this right now. She has a slight accent but is 100% understandable and easy to communicate with. I ordered a car from Manhattan (Chelsea) to JFK airport. It cost $45 plus toll and tip. Total trip came out to $50 (when using e-zpass, the midtown tunnel is discounted to $4.80). The car was 10 minutes early and had no problem getting to the airport. What more can you ask for? I would highly recommend Quick Ride Corp for all future trips. read more

I was hesitant to use Quick Ride because they don't have a website where I can see rates in black and white, but after having a bad experience with Carmel, I was willing to give them a shot. After all, $43+tolls+tip to and from Newark is way cheaper than the competitors. It really worked out well, and I didn't have any problems. The driver who dropped us off in Manhattan was grumbling about having to wait for our delayed flights, but he didn't ask for any extra money. Honestly, I couldn't understand much of what he was saying anyways. The ride to the airport was great. Our driver got to our building early, and we arrived with plenty of time to spare. I used this in to get from JFK to NYC last weekend when I was in NYC. I chose them because their reviews on yelp! I completely agree with all the positive reviews for this company. The price is higher than a shuttle but they pick you up whenever you want and drop you off at your desired location. I booked my first ride from JFK to NYC during rush hour and the driver was only a few minutes late, which was to be expected. He got me to my desired location in a good amount of time. My trip from NYC to JFK was at 4:30AM and the driver arrived early and ready to go. I appreciated that they would take reservations the day before and keep to the scheduled time. The driver was on time (10 minutes early), showed up with a clean Town Car and got me to my destination quickly. I got exactly what I paid for and I'm incredibly satisfied. *The dispatch person actually quoted me $35 over the phone (which in itself was pretty good) and I was pleasantly surprised when the driver only asked for $30. read more

I landed at JFK around 2:30am and called GOLDEN HORSE but they did not pick up. I tried again 5mins later and the rep who answered hello in a very sleepy voice informed me there's no cars available. Yeah. Okay. I tried UBER and the driver called me. He was said his GPS/app was not working so it will take him 15-20mins even though the app said 6mins. Then he said I can go ahead and cancel and try another uber if I wanted in a snarky tone of voice. Great. The third time is a charm with QUICK RIDE CORP. The woman who picked up my call was incredibly professional and efficient. And this is at 2:45am. She put me on hold for a few seconds before informing me my ride will be there in 10mins and $40 to get to Brooklyn Heights which was about $15-$20 cheaper than UBER's fare estimate. The lady at the call center calls again right before the driver arrives to confirm that he just pulled into the terminal and reiterated the car information. Got home safely without issues and the driver didn't even have to put my address in the GPS - a lost art nowadays. All in all will def use this service again. read more

Back seat was spotless, no peculiar odors and my Jeeves-for-the-morning was polite in his silence. This is the kind of business Yelp is essential for - with nary a whisper online to prove it exists, I'd have spent an extra 20% on a lesser ride in a potentially reckless taxi. Very reliable, very punctual! I was recommended by a NY friend and I could not have been happier with their service. From JFK to Gramercy Park area was $40 and back to JFK was $45 (because of toll). Not bad for a single passenger and EVEN BETTER when split between 4 people! Yes the phone operator can be abrupt and sometimes you think she may not have understood you. But you just need to have her repeat back the information. I actually talked to two different operators... the 2nd one was friendlier and spoke fluent english. Nevertheless, they got the time and place correct and the cab drivers were on time for our pickup from JFK to Manhattan and back. Very courteous and friendly drivers. We got a van for 5 people for $60 + toll + tip. Came out to $80 each way but so worth it. When we arrived at JFK, we saw a long line of people (about 50 deep) waiting for cabs. I called the number and told them we had arrived and they told us to wait at the passenger pick up area. The driver arrived within 2 minutes and we were on our way. The van was very clean and new. It took an hour to get into the city because of the traffic but it was so much quicker than I thought, especially if we had to wait in the long cab line. The day before we left, I called for pickup from our hotel. We had an early flight and were picked up at 6:45AM and the cab driver got us to JFK in 30 minutes! No kidding!
