Just recently had the popcorn chicken here. Very nice. They give you a good size amount ...like the squid balls. The milk tea boba is cheaper than the Dolphin Bay boba down the street. However, the Dolphin boba tastes better. But Dolphin Bay also gives you less squid balls. But this place will definitely do. Not crowded. They have a small steady stream of regulars. You can't beat $1 milk tea with boba. BUT, today I went in & the cashier took our order. One other worker was behind her & i could tell she didn't want to do anything because all she did was eat & talk to someone else next to them. The cashier then sneezed THREE TIMES IN HER HANDS. then, proceeded to make our drink. After, she also gives us a straw. I so did not want to use that straw because I am also a nurse and that's just disgusting. Her germs are now contaminated. I just decided to leave that straw and get one my own. I like that they have boba milk tea for $1.19 all day every day. We go for the fried squid rings. I haven't tried much else on the menu but if you're looking for a quick snack, this is a good go to spot. Downside is, they only accept cash. One time I ordered all my snacks over the phone and when I arrived I realized I didn't have my wallet in my purse so I gathered up a bunch of quarters. Lol. I must say in the days of being a broke college student, this place is perfect remedy for those fiscal problems. I've never had anything else from here, but the boba. Someone might ask why only the boba? It's only a whooping 99 CENTS! That's cheaper than crack prices in Compton. I must say though, what you pay is what you get because the boba isn't the must succulent boba I've had in my life. It's not like the boba melts in your mouth, but for 99 cents, it definitely does the trick for any given day. I constantly find myself driving here from Long Beach just for the cheap boba! Back in high school I use to love this place. 10 dollars could feed four hungry high school kids no problem. A few years later, they seem to be slightly hit by the recession as well. The quantity of the food they serve has diminished (but the servings are still pretty decently sized!). The quality however is still the same. Quicklys is a great place to come and snack on some popcorn chicken. Not to mention, they have 99 cent boba milk teas, strawberry and mango slushes! this quickly compared to the one in rowland heights sucks donkey balls. they dont make good boba, it's always lacking taste, one time we got the jasmine milk tea... Came here last night and the cashier took our orders wrong, he kept adding boba to drinks we didn't want to come with. My drink was the usual almond milk tea with boba and this time, it tasted way too diluted! As if I'm drinking water with a splash of almond flavor. I was more happy the time before that where the girl who made my drink, made it perfect. But my boyfriend was still thinking of what he wanted.. The girl was like "SO is that it?" My boyfriend and I looked at it each other like wtf? She didn't even ask if we were ready to order and your hurrying us up? Lol.. A couple came through the door and were behind us.. AWESOME PAWSOME!! I love their mango slush and milk boba!! Their Taiwanese owned and I think that pretty awesome since I have not eaten some of their food, which was SOOO GOOD! I had their beef and rice. My El Salvadorian BF loved it! I didn't get to ask how was the beef noodles as they were gone right after I put the to go bag on the table. back in the day this spot used to be lollicup. then lollicup opened down the street and this placed opened up. i came to come here because of the price. it is cheaper than lollicup and dolphin bay who are down the street. out of the 3 it is the least tastiest but i come regardless because it cost like 1.09 for a milk tea boba. the popcorn chicken is like 2.95 and well i seem to think all popcorn chicken at boba places are the same although i should test that because i don't get it too often. i also like to come here to just change it up so i dont have dolphin bay or lollicup all the time. i've also had the thai tea and it was good one time and another it wasn't. i always used to ask for that but they didn't have it and then one day they did! i know this because i got a boba card there and everyday after driving from school at around 5:35 i would get thai tea until i got a free one lol. as with the milk tea the reason i give it a 3 star is the inconsistency. the drinks i get over and over seem to taste different all the time. the lady is very nice, she reminds me of my mom and how she runs her place. last time i came with 2 or 3 friends. all but 1 ordered something and we say down and drank. the lady came and gave my friend who didn't order anything a slushee!! although i would avoid those lol. i think its just me but i get an upset stomach and after usually getting that for like a 1.09 too i learned and started to get milk tea and now love it. this place doesn't get too poppin or crowded as the other two boba spots down the street. its more chill and i see a lot of older people coming here. one time the lady and the husband i presumed were yelling at each other in chinese. it was kind of disturbing so we left. lol! anyways if you liked to change things up like me and like the cheap 1.09$ for a milk tea boba, by all means this is the place to go! it doesn't get a 2 star because of the price! read more

omg, i was working here years ago. I remember they have the best beef stew noodle soup in town, just back to get it after two years because I miss their beef noodle. However, the taste now is so bad. Tasteless and super oily! And they changed the thick noodle to thin noodle, and it was over cooked. The cook is the boss's wife, so if you the boss see this review don't blame on the cook which you usually did. The boss is still the same, but the food quality is so bad now. The boba is just like water. Even the previous employee and your beef noodle fans like me, won't come back again. read more

The past 3 years living in Long Beach, I have always tried to make it a point to come here whenever I could. Friday afternoons were the best after my friends and I finished a great morning of various sports before we headed off to our usual hang out spot. Ordering was simple, we always got the popcorn chicken, along with french fries and sometimes a side of their Beef Noodle Soup. Since they knew us they would always give us extra as we came in on a regular weekly basis. Along with that it was chill just to be able to put a couple tables together and to play cards while having a nice and relaxing afternoon. I always enjoy getting their special deals on drinks that seemingly lasts forever. The strawberry slush is my personal favorite but they have a mango version as well. The place isn't the biggest of places maybe being able to fit a dozen people at most, but it's nice to have a good tapioca shop not too far from where I live. I may not know about other people's experiences but come here if you want something cheap, affordable and tasty. read more

I love this place! 99 cent milk tea with boba! It tastes decent too! I also really like the fried tofu. I normally don't like fried tofu because of the outside texture but the fried tofu here is delicious (it's a little different than regular fried tofu because it's breaded I think??)! Minus one star for very slow service though. Every time I've ordered the fried tofu it's taken at least 15 minutes to come out (and there were barely any other customers there). But if you're just getting drinks, it's not a problem. read more

Horrible service. They were like chicken heads running around with their heads cut off. Seem unorganized. And the only person who understood enough to take the order is the older lady there. It was very aggravating. Besides theh service issue, I had the taro milk tea which wasn't bad. Bf had coffee milk tea both lrg. And my sis had the milk tea. For all three was about 7.50. This is usually the place where I stop by to get boba and popcorn chicken (they call it fried chicken nuggets here but it's the same thing) for basically just $1 you can get a boba milk tea! Most places charges you $2.50 or $3 for it! I really like the boba milk tea here because the tea doesn't seem to be too sweet which is too my liking. The popcorn chicken is also pretty amazing here, they give you a lot of chicken for just $3.50 but unfortunately it's pretty darn obvious it's frozen chicken but I didn't really mind. The store is fairly clean but the store is also pretty small. Overall I usually have a nice experience when I go here! read more
