I had only been to Quickway in DC before so was excited to learn I am close to a location once we moved to Woodbridge. My go to order is always the chicken hibachi with extra teriyaki and yum yum sauce. The portion sizes are nice, especially for the price and we eat here more often than I'd like to admit. I got 3 meals for $20 bucks using promotions. A "buy 1 get 1 free" chicken hibachi with noodles, and a combo shrimp and beef/noodles and rice. For the price the portion sizes were perfect. I would much prefer just a tad more meat and less of the sides, just to balance out the ratio better, although it was still filling with enough to snack on later. But to be honest it wasn't that good. The food is EXTREMELY bland and disappointing. The sauce makes it way better though. It went from like a 3/10 to a 6/10. It's...definitely a meal. I have tried the Quickway locations in Sterling several times, the one in Fredericksburg once, and this Woodbridge location twice. I like this location a lot. I always get the chicken combo with fried rice and vegetables. One Yum-Yum sauce comes with it, but for an extra buck, I get two more. Really kicks it up several notches!! They all seem to have a slight issue with including some inedible pieces of gristle or fat, but the portion is good, so it's not a big deal. The rice was sub-par, which if you know anything about japanese culture, should be the one thing that a place prides themselves on... I got the beef and chicken hIbachi over white rice and veggies. I always catch them when the rush is gone so they are super speedy and friendly every time I visit. I always add two spicy Mayo sauces because it really takes the flavor up a notch! For a "fast food" version of hibachi they nail it every time. Great portion size for your dollar. Walk in and you'll feel the atmosphere of a cattle chute; there are booths but no padding on them (?); had a hard time finding a trash can to throw my food into after I found it was pretty tasteless. I got two "sushi" rolls- California (hard to mess up) and their hibachi chicken roll... first bite of the latter crunched (there was only chicken (not fried) wrapped in rice. I asked for hibachi sause to put on the roll and they actually opened a new ticket to charge me 50¢ (plus tax lol)... needlessly though, it didn't help. I come here more than I'd like to admit when I'm in the area. This place is consistently good and portion size is too. Only come for the teriyaki beef or chicken. That's it. Don't get the sushi. Don't get the egg roll. Don't get the tempura. You get the teriyaki beef or chicken or both. That's it. Rice or noodles and veggies. Do this at this location and you're good. They make it easy to grab hibachi to go or stay and dine in. Ordering is easy as they have menus right by the door right when you walk in and well as upfront spanning from the register to the pick up area. The wait is minimal as the orders are completed in an assembly line fashion. While waiting, you can see your food come together as they drop the rice, noodles, veggies and then the meat of your choice. I like that when you walk up to grab your food, the young lady asks upfront if you want extra sauce, that's a plus! For the meat eater you might be a little dismayed depending on how heavy the hand is for the person making your dish. Tonight's portion had more noodles and rice, than meat. Think 65/35 ratio.
