Our group of six found this place after a morning hike near Bass Harbor Lighthouse. We can all add our 5 stars to our review! Delicious! Great fries as well. I had The Traveler with their Snack Sauce. Nice and spicy. Fries were hot and tasty. Played some Badminton while we waited. It was worth the wait. We left with full stomachs and glad we searched this place out!

Sooooo yummy! I got a bacon butter smash burger and it was so good. I was very impressed at how the burger was simultaneously so juicy, but not soggy at all. They must have packaged it really well in the paper that they use. I loved the fries too. The fries had really good salt on them (the chunky kind). Prices are pretty good for Acadia. I spent a little over $20 for a big burger (two patties) and fries (generous portion) and tip. Ambiance is fun- this is a permanent food truck with outdoor seating. There was even a little shade. Service was good too! The employees seemed fun and chill.

This is actually a food truck in an airstream trailer on the side of the road. Totally cute! Picnic tables, and the road isn't very busy. We got a Classic chicken sandwich, and a hot dog and fries. Both tasted great. It took maybe 10 minutes to get our food. Really good food and enjoyable experience. And the young lady who waited on us was really a sweetheart.

An unassuming patch on the side of the road casted with the shimmering presence of an airstream trailer, ordering off the whiteboard menu at this no-frills stop, made for a really great Hot Honey Chèvre sandwich, was a mouth melting bed of sprouts pillowed with some cucumber slices lies a beautiful golden brown fried chicken thigh with a creamy chèvre on top. Drizzled in siracha honey glaze. Quite tasty and a great surprise. The smash burger was juicy and flavorful. It was eaten before I could take a photo of it.

Great spot if you need a break from the seafood. Bacon Butter Smash burger was fantastic.

You wouldn't believe that one of the best foods you can eat around Acadia national park will be at Quietside Snacks. As soon as you enter, you are immediately met with memories of childhoods past with smells of bbq and campfire smoke. Both a straight forward and "simple" menu are always a green flag for me. We ordered the spicy chicken sandwich, the classic cheeseburger, fries, and mozzarella sticks. Everything, another green flag, was not oily, rather it was packed with great flavors. The food quality is on par with, if not better than most of the well known places in Bar Harbor. Seriously if you want great food without the hassle of lines and price gauging. Go here.

What an unexpected surprise! The only food truck we've seen on the island and it's delicious! Set in a vintage Airstream, the menu is not seafood heavy like everywhere else (as a vegetarian that makes me super excited!) I had the grilled cheese with red pepper jelly and apples and it was great, hubs had the fried chicken tacos which he loved. And the French fries were some of the best I've had! And I like a good French fry... if you are in Quietside (or lucky enough to stay on this side of the island) this is a perfect lunch spot. There are even a bunch of picnic tables so you can enjoy a leisurely lunch on a nice day.

After I paid, I realized that they had not only charged me full price, they had tacked on not one, but two surcharges for the veggies. Nearly ten bucks for a grilled cheese with American cheese and a few veggies? Plus nearly 8 bucks for the onion rings. When I very politely said that I wasn't happy about the "misunderstanding" about the substitution, she said that it was OKAY to substitute the vegetables, she had never said that it would be the same PRICE. Seriously? They have the right to charge what they want, but the food was nowhere near good enough to pay that much. Not even close. Not going back.

The staff is quite friendly and customer focused and the menu is straightforward, but the real joy is in the cooking. It's REALLY good. If you read my other reviews you'll see that I'm not shy about highlighting poor food and bad service. This place was neither of those. It was a little surprised that a place with "roast beef" in its name would be out of roast beef on a Sunday afternoon until the explained that the are closed on Mondays and cook their own roasts (2 a day) and serve until sold out on Sundays so the sandwich meat is fresh when the reopen on Tuesday. Amazing. I had a Baja smash burger and my wife had an Olin smash burger both with caramelized onions. Both were excellent. Fresh - not frozen patties - and it showed. Fries were really good too. I'll be back later in the week to try their roast beef sandwich and see if it lives up to the "legend" name.

It's a fisherman-owned shack right on the bay -- informal, friendly, and exactly the kind of unpretentious Maine spot you hope to run into. Honestly, everything we ordered was excellent, so it's hard to single out just one thing. The hot-butter lobster roll was soft, fresh, and generous -- better than the other lobster rolls we'd had on the trip (I paid a little extra for hot butter over the cold/mayo version and would do it again). The lobster empanadas were a nice surprise: crispy from being fried, and while there's some filler beyond the lobster, the meat-to-filling ratio is good and the added flavor works -- I'd order those again. The clam chowder was rich and creamy without being gluey. Bonus points for the kids: a Lego play table kept ours happily occupied, and they did simple cheese quesadillas the kids actually ate. I also had a Pulp Truck IPA from Marsh Island Brewing -- which is what we would call a "Hazy IPA" or "New England IPA" on the West Coast, but here is simply an IPA. Regardless, it was quite good. We'd would definitely eat here again.
