First, consider that this place is rated 5 stars on Yelp (at the time of this posting) with 161 reviews for a place PEOPLE DON'T EVEN WANT TO GO normally. This business has made an unpleasant task into a pleasant experience. It is indeed very quick, just like the name promises. I was in and out in 15 minutes. I didn't feel upsold, disrespected, or mislead at any point. The inspection cost around $25 total. l went in here to get my car inspected and while we waited the gentleman at the counter was as nice as could be. Apparently this place has been around for years and is very well liked by many- I definitely know why - the service.!!! I read this article one time about how big tech is taking over everyones small business but the reality came down to, most small businesses stopped focusing on the customer first and therefore people would move to other companies... Quix State Inspection is a prime example of how not to lose business! They stay busy and people come back time and time again because they really do treat each person like it's their only customer and the level of service is fantastic. Good day fellow Yelpers and Yelpettes! The staff a Quix are professional and polite. (A lost art in the city jungle.) Best suggestion...GO EARLY.. Parking is a premium. Go before you inspection expires, so you an get online to renew. (Just love standing in those long DMV lines...not!) The service is quick with okay quality however the owner can be condescending and rude. It's not ethical to make customers pay for inspections if they're not going to pass. That's considered taking their money. Instead of offering me service for a tune-up, which is the main cause of misfires, one of the mechanics jokes and says I may as well just get a new car. It's very insensitive to a person on a tight budget, just trying to pay for registration. This place is nice to visit if you have the perfect 2023 car with no problems, and you have plenty of funds. If you're just trying to make it through school without parents, visit at your own risk. read more

Quick, friendly, great at what they do! I will come again and again. When they say quick... they mean quick haha! Also $7 if you pay in cash for inspection and $8 with card. I also got an oil change while I was there and they changed out some of my filters. I'm loyal, they are wonderful. read more

I got my car inspection done here and it was such an amazing customer experience! The two gentlemen were so polite, they offered me cold water while I waited. The inspection went perfectly, they even informed me that my coolant was low and offered to fill it up for an extra charge, and that isn't even on the inspection! Fantastic service, very fast. NTB wanted to charge me $1,800+ for repairs in order to pass inspection on my 4Runner, which is running perfectly. I came to Quix State instead and received great fast service. My total bill was $63 including inspection, a blinker bulb that I needed, new wipes (mine were torn) and coolant fill. Basically, you're in and then you're out, lol. I got my inspection done here. They also told me my anti-freeze fluid was running low and offered to refill it. I paid $35 and I was out of there! I went to Tom Thumb a week later and all I had to to do was give them the registration letter. I paid my $80, and I got my registration sticker. read more

I get my inspection here every year. The owner is a great guy and runs a very efficient, professional operation. 15 minutes and you're done.

I've been here 4 times now and each experience has been very consistent. This place ONLY does state inspections so I feel that they are very knowledgeable and don't try to upsell unnecessary repairs. Just for reference, I have very old cars so inspections can sometimes be nerve wracking but each time, I feel like they give very honest (aka legal) feedback on any repairs needed to pass inspection. Today, I was told that one of my windshield wipers was out but didn't need to be changed for the inspection. I went ahead and got a new one from him out out of convenience ($8) but also because the guy was honest and didn't make a deal of whether or not I changed it. It almost took me longer to request and pull up my car insurance info on my phone than it did for them to do the inspection...less than 10 minutes. Cost was about $25 which I think is average to other places (and more than worth it because of the great customer service). You can either get your sticker online (especially if you don't have your renewal form mailed to you), at the tax office, or at the nearby Kroger's (only if you have your renewal form already). The place is very clean, doesn't have any weird auto smells, and parking is great. When I left, they had parked my car facing out so I could simply drive off - it's the little things that puts this place above the rest! read more

We all wait until the last minute to get our state inspection done and usually try to squeeze it in to our busy days. This is a great place for that. I was in and out in less than 20 minutes and that was with someone in front of me. I also needed an inspection for Lyft driving and they were able to complete that as well for a very good price and took care of the paperwork for me.
