I saw this new location on Yelp and decided to check it out. The Hawaiian Fruit Green Tea 100% sweetness is not too sweet. I didn't even need to adjust the level and it was perfect! When I go to other boba places, I feel like majority of the time I need to adjust the sweetness level. You can taste the lemon in the tea, very delicious!! Will be coming back again and again. We saw that a new R&B had opened up in Milpitas, taking over Tea Yomi's old spot, and decided to check it out. They definitely renovated the entire place as we could barely recognize it! It seems like this location also shares a space with Sweet Box. We weren't familiar with it, but based on the menu, they serve Vietnamese style drinks and desserts. We ordered: Hawaiian Fruit Green Tea - 50% sugar, 50% ice, with agar boba Passion Fruit Green Tea w/ Aloe Vera - 70% sugar, 50% ice They apologetically told us were out of green tea after we ordered. We were fine swapping out for black tea though, so it wasn't an issue at all. The black tea wasn't too strong and actually worked just as well for our drinks. We enjoyed both our drinks! The fruit flavors were strong and bright, so the drinks felt refreshing for a hot day. One thing to note though is that they were both sweeter than we expected. Not unbearable, but we'll probably opt for at least one level lower next time. For some context, we usually order 25-50% and 75% sugar at other places, respectively. read more

I would rate it a 5 but the kiosk to order the drinks powered down half way into our order. I know they are in their soft opening phase but when we brought the attention of the kiosk to the staff and appeared to be owner / manager they shrugged the shoulders. Overall good drink. Came in the store on Sunday evening and got the worst experience ever. Even though I ordered online before picking up but they still took 45mins to prepare my food. When I opened the box, I was wondering how you guys run the business with that kind of service. The portion was crazy small. The drinks are okay - they hit the spot but nothing special. This location is kiosk-only. The reason for this poor review is the lackluster and strange customer service. The hours of operation online indicate that they close at 10 PM, so we pulled up at 8:25 PM. There are customers already inside. As we approached the shop, the lights inside shut off and the employees began waving their phone lights at us while shaking their heads. The customers inside are staring at us, and we haven't even approached the front door yet. We were extremely confused and turned to leave... I understand that businesses do have hours of operation and employees are not expected to work past their scheduled shifts. However, if the shop closes at 8:30 PM, then the hours online should be updated. We couldn't even make it to the front to double check their posted hours. Furthermore, I felt it was extremely rude and degrading that the employees did not bother to step outside and let us know they were closed. I rarely leave reviews. But, today I felt compelled to. Me and my family come to this location often for family boba nights. The drinks, food and service are standard - what any reasonable person would expect ordering from a screen then waiting for your number to be called. Today, I thought I'd try something new - the bubble waffle. I ordered the mochi waffle but was told afterwards that they don't have that flavor yet (then why is it an option on the menu?!) So I got the matcha waffle. It took a really long time and the worker making it seemed to not know what she was doing or how long it should take. I watched her and she kept opening the waffle iron and checking and poking and lifting the edges. Finally she took it out of the iron and put it on a cooling rack. Still poking it with her bare, ungloved hands!!! As an owner of a small food business and someone who is ServSafe certified, I was turned off and grossed out that someone was handling my food in an unsanitary way. I wanted to say something, but I took the waffle and left. I looked at the waffle in the car and it was flat, mushy and undercooked. I'm so happy R&B Tea is so close to my house. Definitely my go-to aside from Feng Cha which is a liiiitle but further away. I always get the Nitro Lychee Green Tea. They also add in aloe which I love and the tea taste is not overloaded with sugar. The interior is super roomy and def a great place to hang out with your friends and play games. You just order on the huge screen and pay there, so it's pretty easy and simple. I been here about maybe 5-6 times now and I always love my drink. As an out of towner I wouldn't visit here there's so much better spots within a 5 mile radius. I get my boba tea fix here often. Prefer paying up front at the register. The staff is really helpful and always have good recommendations. The POS touch screen is quite tall and it seems a little to intrusive how it broadcasts your personal info so openly. The rice plates are a bust and the popcorn chicken is so so. super glad they opened up a location in milpitas! the one i usually go to is located in Valleyfair mall in Santa Clara, so it's nice to have one closer!! we got the passion fruit green tea with boba and 50% sugar, the brown sugar boba milk tea, and the green thai tea with 70% sugar! would HIGHLY recommend trying the green thai tea! it was super refreshing and had a nice fragrant green tea taste with a milky taste to it! if you ever had the 7 leaves green thai tea, it taste VERY similar! definitely would come here again! also the interior of the location is beautiful! 10/10 experience!!! read more
