I would recommend trying to bring cash for tip, they really did an amazing job because I went to go to a pottery wheel throwing class for making/shaping clay and I was expecting for my nails to be destroyed but the quality of the nails was so good that everything was fine and I was just making sure to clean my nails well and not to put my hands directly in the clay so it went fine for me. I totally recommend this place 10 out of 10 experience , only thing I would say is it took a bit longer than expected, but it was totally fine and they made sure I was comfortable! I'm also thinking about going to this place for their barber class because of how good of an experience I got and how well they seemed to communicate with the students, they all seem to have a wonderful relationship with each other! Cleaned & washed my hands after the clay class I had and they still looked brand new/ had amazing quality.

Even if it forces you to drop out of the school, as long as this dirty cheap-scathing school can keep getting more money in their pockets then they will do whatever they can to do it. It is low class and frankly -- embarrassing. They do not care about the students and teaching them how to do hair/nails. They care about getting your money. If you can go anywhere else PLEASE do it unless you just don't care about funding a bunch of low class degenerates who are scamming you.

She did a great job of making neurotoxins easy to understand. I do appreciate her time when I actually received it. She was on her phone 65% of the time. Again I was 1 person. I literally had to wait for her to stop eating or talking to others to ask questions. I thought I paid for that time. ?? I think she has a lot to offer but it was very frustrating paying $2k for her to be on her phone the majority of the time. Just FYI class was posted for 10-6 class is 10:30 to? With lots of down time. I think she's great at what she does but I wouldn't take a class again purely Bc of the lack of respect. I do think she's an expert I also believe she is maybe burned out. I don't want this to be all bad. She was a great teacher with good intentions but I think the classes are a secondary or tertiary focus. If you want great training and can give all day to walking around and wondering when she'll notice you then Go! Following up I think she is an expert and doesn't realize what she's doing as far as time management goes the texting and talking on the phone every 5 minutes. So great review for nursing intelligence, experience, education. I am definitely disappointed in the time she spent on her phone and meal prepping for her fitness comp than what I thought I was paying for. I felt like an afterthought. I would have paid $500-1k more for her to put her damn phone down. Still she is great so I won't discount her work. I expected more from my experience.

The same thing happened the second time. The third time, I was given an iPad to fill out a form. I have a disability that makes it very difficult for me to type on an iPad or phone, so I asked for help with the form. The manager complained (in a very confrontational manner) that I did not fill out the form myself. I have never been treated that badly before or since. That manager is the only service person who has ever complained about my need for disability accommodations. When I suggested that all forms be sent to clients before the first visit, so problems could be noted and solved before clients had to drive to the studio, he became quite defensive. He showed no empathy. I have never been treated so badly by any service provider. I find it ironic that a manager at a school that teaches people to perform a service career would be so callous. My advice is that you consider driving up north to Austin's other laser school, where service is impeccable.

I have to unfortunately update my review to 2 stars because my recent experience turned out…read morehorrible and I will not be returning. I am not going to name the individual who worked on me to be respectful to her, but I will say the girl who colored and styled my hair needs a lot more training before she is ready to really work on hair. I left with hair dye all over my forehead, my sideburns were soaked with dye and behind my neck by that wasn't the worst of it. I didn't notice how much dye was left in my hair until I got to my car and started running my fingers through my hair. But I was wondering how the hair stylist working on me didn't notice the dye all over my face? Also, my curls, if you can call them that - turned out horrible with tons of frizz on the top of my head, I absolutely hated the way my hair turned out, total waste of money and time. I walked out spending $125 on a single color process, deep conditioning, styling and a hair product - way too much if you ask me for how things turned out. I understand these people are in training and I get that. The prior hair stylist who worked on my hair at this salon did a great job, but she graduated and suggested this newer gal. I trusted the process, but the process didn't turn out well at all. I will say the new gal who worked on me was kind. I am sure she was trying to do her best, but when dealing with someone's hair the basics like being removing all the dye out of someone's hair so it doesn't stick to their face and remain gooey in their hair is imperative - I needed to really wash my hair when I got home, also knowing how to do basic curls in someone's hair should be fundamental - the gal who worked in me had no idea how to curl hair at all. For those wondering why I didn't say anything during my visit, when I looked in the mirror and saw what a mess my hair was, I just wanted to get out and leave and just never come back, which I won't. Then when I went to the register to get rung up it took forever as I was standing their waiting because they were training another lady how to use the register. I believe I realized while I appreciate the lower price point on service at the salon academy, and understand most of the people working their are in training, it's simply not worth it to me to work with people in training who don't really know what they are doing yet, with the risk of messing up my hair and then walking out unhappy. I would rather pay a higher premium working with an experienced stylist knowing I am walking out feeling good with nice hair. I will not be returning to the salon Acedemy in Georgetown.

Came back here today to get a pedicure (by someone else - can't remember her name). It was awful. She literally told me she's into doing hair and not pedicures. Also said she lost her scrubber thing so didn't even use a foot file or anything on my feet?? That's the main thing I wanted when getting a pedicure. The water was barely even "warm". I had like 4 colors to choose from. And the polish was all over my skin ‍. She was a nice girl so I didn't complain to her about it but just kept thinking in the back of my head once the "educator" comes to check her work she will at least have her clean up the polish. But nope she said "looks good" and left. Oh, the girl who did my pedicure told me it was $15; I go to the counter to pay and this lady says it's $25? I still tipped her anyway.. so $30 wasted bc I had to go home and take the polish off and repaint myself. Would not recommend coming here for pedis.

Guess what, my lashes didn't perm at all, not even a curve. I lay down and basically the student put on the perm solution too early or did it poorly, no worries the instructor comes in and fixes it because they don't want to overprocess my lashes they don't leave it on that long that's fine. The student proceeds to do a poor hand massage and poor neck massage, that's fine, again learning. She then takes forever to clean up my eyes why because she applied the dye very poorly which required so much clean up that when I got up I still looked like a raccoon, that's fine, learning. I get up, my lashes didn't even curve. Not even a little bit. I'm upset obviously because I just spent 1.5 hours on this table to look EXACTLY THE SAME. The instructor comes in too explain what happened and again I get it but you didn't give me this explanation before I laid down? No disclaimers no nothing. She said okay my advisor isn't here but we want to make this right we want you to come in again and fix this. So NICOLE calls me this morning and is like I'm so sorry blah blah blah I was like okay I'll schedule my next appt, the instructor had mentioned complimentary.
