This is fun spot. I make my red sauce from scratch and this is the closest I have ever found. The staff is really nice, the food is delicious. A 4 corner is 6 slices and enough for 2, maybe 3 people. I also get the cast iron meatballs to dine in for 1/2. Pizza to go. Only slight mishap was, I ordered pizza with no bell peppers and didn't look at it until I got home. Not the end of the world as it's not an allergy situation. Overall, I love this place.
We recently made a very last-minute visit to R Town Pizza, and I'm really glad we did! I had only tried it once before, but this was my first time actually going in and ordering a full meal. We ordered the RoboCop pizza, the spinach artichoke dip with toasted rounds instead of chips, JoJo potatoes, and a single slice pizza for my daughter. Everything was honestly so good. The service was great too, and everyone there was really friendly. We ended up sitting outside because it was such a nice day, although it did feel a little stuffy inside. If you sit outside, you order inside first and then head out to your table, so anytime we needed something like napkins or ketchup, we just had to pop back in and ask. It honestly wasn't a big deal though because everyone was so nice. The atmosphere inside was fun too -- there were pinball machines and TVs everywhere. Everything felt fresh and welcoming, and I really enjoyed sitting outside. The single slice for kids is such a great idea. My daughter's slice came as a little corner piece served in its own mini skillet with the toppings she picked. It felt like the perfect little personal pizza for a kid. The RoboCop pizza was delicious. I loved the crispy toasted cheese edges, and the toppings were amazing. It had a little spicy kick to it, but not overwhelming at all -- just perfect. I also added ricotta because I love ricotta on pizza, and it made it even better. The JoJo potatoes were great too, but the real star for me was the spinach artichoke dip. I order spinach artichoke dip pretty much everywhere I go, and this one was seriously one of my favorites. Getting it with the toasted rounds instead of chips was definitely the move. Honestly, I could've just eaten that and been happy. The only downside for me was the pricing. The food is absolutely delicious, but the pizzas are definitely pricey. In my opinion, around $21 for a four-corner and $42 for an eight-corner pizza feels a little crazy. That said, the quality and flavor were really good. Overall, I would definitely go back. It's more of a splurge/treat-yourself kind of pizza spot for us rather than an every-week place, but it was super tasty and worth trying.
The pizza was delicious! My wife has a gluten issue and the gluten free crust were really tasty. I couldn't tell the difference at all. We went on a Saturday afternoon and got in just before the crowds. The service was really good and the environment was great. We brought our toddler and didn't feel embarrassed she wanted to play over on the pinball machines. Thanks to the Pokémon pinball machine, my daughter now loves Pokémon!
Literally cannot say enough about how fantastic the pizza is here. I've been getting hounded by a friend to try it for the last year or so and finally got around to trying it the other day. My millennial heart was overjoyed with the shop's musical choices and decor elements, with several references to TMNT, Jurassic Park, Pokémon, and other popular 90's kid references scattered everywhere (even in the bathroom). My wife and I will definitely be back (probably consistently now) and we're looking forward to trying their sister pizza shop in midtown.
We're in Reno for my daughter's volleyball tournament and had read so many great reviews about their gluten-free pizza that we had to give it a try. The restaurant was a little busy when we arrived. We ordered the Confit Pterosaurs Wing to start, along with two gluten-free pizzas and one regular pizza. Unfortunately, we waited quite a while for the wing, and it didn't come out before the rest of the food as expected. My husband's regular pizza arrived first, then about 20 minutes later the wing came out, then about 10 minutes later our gluten-free pizzas. It was a bit disappointing that the appetizer didn't come out first, and overall the food took quite a while. Our waitress also rarely checked in on us. I had ordered a side of arugula with my pizza, but despite asking twice, it never came. That said, the gluten-free pizza was really good, best we have had with thick crust and the wing was great! My husband said his pizza was delicious! The food was solid, but the service could have definitely been better.
They forgot our drinks......but let me just say Jayden had me forget all about it. This guy deserves a raise! Food was impeccable. Although it was a busy night and Jayden was on top of everything!
First time and I really enjoyed it my server was the best i asked her recommendations and she did not disappoint. From the salad to the pizza just awesome. The flavors and everything was great i just forgot the name of the pizza but I definitely will be back to try more Items.
R Town Pizza is hands down the best spot in Reno. Their Detroit-style pizza is legit, thick, airy crust with the super crispy cheese edges is perfection. I got the 313 and the panopoulos. Both were incredible. The staff is friendly and quick, even when it's busy. It was absolutely packed with a constant line and waitlist. They sold out of dough by 6pm on a Friday. It is good to see a local business booming.
Ordered 3 Pizzas for Super Bowl. This is some of the best pizza I have ever had, I heard on the street it's made with a focaccia bread recipe that the owner spent a lot of fine tuning and you can definitely tell the difference. I am normally a thin crust type of person and I think this is the only style I can have that is thick. My favorite was the D Sting over the Spirit of Detroit, and I unfortunately only ordered a 4 corner instead of an 8 corner with the 313, so my friends already scarfed it down before I could try. Guess I have to go back (twist my arm). But seriously though this place is legit, I think Guy Fieri even went there recently too with one of his shows - way to represent Reno!
I was told about this place and decided to come here to celebrate my birthday! The interior was smaller than it looks like it would be on the outside. With a single room of 5 booths and about 6 tables. As well as a small bar with about 10 chairs. Very small for sure! Due to the small size of the place the decoration was limited, but one really cool thing was that one entire wall was one giant very weird pizza drawing. It was so weird but so cool! Our waitress was very kinda and patient with us as we took a little while to order since this place was completely new to us! One thing that kept happening that was weird was just how often any of the waitresses bringing out food would drop something. Mostly knives, but the occasional sauce cup too. It was odd... I decided to do a 4 corner Panopoulos pizza! And wow, it was delicious! The pizza was cooked very nicely all throughout, the ingredients all went so well on it, and the provided ranch was delightful! Very delicious pizza! Only complaint I had was some of the corners were black burnt. Overall this was very delightful! The pizza was very tasty, the environment was nice, and the staff were friendly! A very delightful birthday dinner for sure! I highly recommend this place to any pizza lovers!
I just have to say Marvin is a genius!! We went in today (Sunday) and the joint was jumping!! Luckily a booth was getting cleaned as we walked in. We ordered the special for January! It's a potato vindaloo pizza. We added chicken! It was fabulous!! The minute it was delivered both my DH and I grabbed a piece. It was smoking hot but we could hardly wait to dig in!! And it did not disappoint !! We were here last month for the Xmas special and it was just as good as last year (2024). Which I did a review for. Anyway, if you're in the area it's the best pizza place I've ever been to... and the owner (Marvin) is killing it!!
R Town Pizza was so good. We ordered one 4-corner pizza split El Vaquero and Japan Style and it was seriously delicious. Super crunchy corners, fluffy crust, and the toppings were 10/10 across the board. We also got the Stoney Style potatoes and they are an absolute MUST. Crunchy on the outside, loaded with toppings, and super filling -- honestly could order those every time. Tried the OG meatball sub too. The meatballs were a little on the dry side, but they added a ton of sauce which totally made up for it, so still enjoyed it. It is more on the pricey side -- about $65 for a small pizza, one sandwich, one side of rojos, and a brownie -- but the quality and experience were there. The restaurant has plenty of seating, old-school arcade machines (which is a fun touch), and the service was top notch. Would definitely come back
We stopped by for dinner after a long day of volleyball so we were hungry. We decided to try this place because it was nearby. We got a table right away. We ordered the cheese bread and a half and half Detroit style pizza. The cheese bread came out pretty quickly. The pizzas however took a very long time, I lost track of time but I want to say we waited at least an hour or more. The staff were very nice about it and tried to make it right by bringing us drinks while we waited. The cheese bread and pizzas were delicious. We did enjoy the food. The inside had a decent amount of seating, they also had outside seating. The place seemed nice and clean.

The crust is crispy and very good on the edges, and the filling is abundant. The cheese melted in the right amount without creating an oily layer. I ordered it in advance, and everything was ready when I arrived. A great option for dinner at home. read more
Faaaaantastic! The line was out the door, which is always good to see. Come early, as they run the risk of selling out completely like they did when we came on a Friday! Staff was very communicative, friendly and overall atmosphere was upbeat. Everything was thoroughly cleaned between seated guests being given a table. The playlist was fun, and not too loud. The decor is rad. I think overall offering a walk up bar for soda, beer or cocktails helps keep the waiting guests more engaged and less likely to leave- nice idea there! Beer selection was amazing- crafts from other states included beers and ciders, so try something new for fun. Oh yeah, and they have some fun pinball machines so be sure to bring your quarters. I have been to a couple of Yelp events where R pizza was featured. The samples I had were so amazing that I knew that I had to come to the restaurant which is located across from Atlantis on South Virginia. We went before a showed in downtown Reno on a Friday night so we knew it was going to be crowded but we were fortunate enough to come early and get a table. There were tables available inside but we wanted to sit outside because the weather was so nice. A very nice young gentleman by the name of Jaden assisted us with drinks, menus and our order. He is very very pleasant and welcoming. And very enthusiastic about the restaurant. He gave me a couple of options and we decided to try them Motown pizza which had a lot of protein and the shrimp and chili appetizer. We were served the appetizer in a hot cast iron skillet with very tasty toasts on the side for dipping. The pizza came after. We ordered the four corner instead of the eight corner which was a good idea because it was eight large slices. I love this pizza because it's cooked in cast iron and the crust is crusty and cheesy but it's very soft inside and it's just loaded with toppings. There are quite a few signature pizzas and I put a picture of their menu offerings. Our drinks were strong and good and they did have alcohol-free beers as well as sodas, tea, lemonade. We didn't have any room for dessert because we also added a delicious cheesy garlic bread which was more cheese than bread I think. The service was great and our needs were immediately addressed. My first visit but I will definitely be going back because the pizza's delicious, I love the outdoor patio and the food, of course, I knew was going to be great. Another advantage is it's in a huge parking lot so there's no problem with available parking. read more
Checked out R Town Pizza with my husband for the first time last Friday night, and we were so glad we did! The restaurant had a line out the door with a busy team in the kitchen. They have an open kitchen setting which is always fun to watch the magic happen. We started with the Calabrian Shrimp with toast points. They definitely packed the heat with the Calabrian chili and a slight sweetness of the BBQ. So delicious. As for the pizza, we were so impressed with the variety that was offered. And if you scan the barcode on the menu you will find a "secret menu" with even more options. We opted for 2 4-corner pizzas, the Robocop and the Motown. Both were incredible, every piece perfect with a crunch on the crust and the sauce with a perfect tang. The portion sizes are generous we ended up taking some home after being full to the brim. We will definitely be coming back for their lunch specials and to try out some of their secret menu pizzas. read more
We had heard great feedback from friends about this pizza place. We had tried to previously stop by twice during the evening but they had a sign on the door that they had sold out. This time we stopped by earlier during the lunch hour. The cashiers told us there was a wait but we could sit outside (with no service). We took the offer. We tried the Cesar salad, Motown pizza and garlic parm potatoes. The pizza and salad were delicious. The only downside was when you went to bite the potatoes the inside falls apart and gives it an off texture. read more
We brought some family visiting from out of town to experience the magic that is R Town, and once again, they knocked it out of the park. Our guests were just as impressed as we always are! The service was amazing, as always--friendly, attentive, and on point. Your water and beer glasses are never empty here, which, let's be honest, is crucial when you're eating pizza. do love checking out the seasonal beer choices that they offer, this time I went with the Octoberfest, which paired really well with our pizza. This round we got our classic favorites: the 313 Prime and the Wayne County, we knew these would be the perfect choice for our family to enjoy. They were of course perfection, our guests could not stop raving about how perfectly crispy and tasty the crust was. We also ventured out and tried the Panopoulos for the first time. I'm not usually a fan of pineapple on pizza, but this one completely changed my mind. The pineapple jam balanced beautifully with the other toppings--we added pickled jalapeños and pepperoni, and the combo was magical.lo If you haven't tried R Town yet, do yourself a favor and go. It's easily become our go-to pizza spot, and after one visit, I bet it'll be yours too. read more

I loved the ambiance of this place, the overall setup reminded me of what I see in New York when going to a pizza joint. The servers are super welcoming and nice, they were also helpful and loved chatting with everyone. Food was good, I enjoyed the turkey wing a ton but it was a tad dry. I also was super excited for the garlic buffalo flavor but it wasn't that flavorful. I thought the buffalo flavor was not the best and it also wasn't that garlicky, just kinda muted. Pizza itself was good but I wish there was more sauce. I loved when I had a bite with a lot of sauce, it complimented the sweet pizza dough but there was a lot of bites where I felt like there wasn't enough sauce. I also wish there was more pepperoni as well. It was good but I just felt like it needed a bit more of everything. I did enjoy putting their seasoning on the pizza though! It was a fantastic little add on. Overall I enjoyed coming here and trying out this pizza. I'd totally come here again with friends to get a drink, watch some sports and enjoy some good food. read more

Boy, were we let down by R-Town Pizza. It was overdone, with very few vegetables on it. The meatballs were burned dry. There were two small streaks of sauce on top of it and a little bit of cheese. Offer 40 bucks. Buyer beware. Weisman told me you can only get taken once. read more
This place has it all. My husband and I were getting a massage at a place. I've been a few times when we stopped in to have a beer and a cider. Let me just say they have a fantastic selection of beers and cider, including an alcohol free cider. I was lamenting the fact that nobody makes a deep dish, gluten-free pizza and inquired whether they had anything gluten-free when a regular at the bar pointed at his plate, and somebody picking up an order pointed at his box. Be still in my heart because the gluten-free deep dish pizza was absolutely the bomb. Anazeballs And as good as the food and alcohol selection, the selection of people that work at this location is more like a well adjusted family than a business . They work seamlessly together and are super friendly. Absolutely will be back now that my dad lives in the area now I just wish that we had gluten-free deep dish in San Francisco. I was given an hour lunch break. I work over at 4600 kietzke lane. It is a 5 minute drive. I waited 42 minutes for a 4 corner pizza that came with a free hair on it. Then had to eat while driving. I don't like leaving negative reviews. Especially for a place like this. read more
Absolute YUM! Got regular potato wedges to start and they came out crispy and steamy. Tried the four corner "smokey Joe". First time trying black beans and corn on a pizza and it works. Their ranch is dill forward and addicting! Everyone was so friendly, checked on us periodically. Casual dining and we went on a day it was nice out-so we sat outside. Ordered delivery of the pepperoni and spicy shrimp pizzas as well as the cheesy potatoes. I'd skip the potatoes next time, but my dog loved those. I really liked the pizza. Went here to grab a bite during Hot August Nights. I had heard about this place but had yet to try it. There were four of us and we ordered the Motown, Smokey Joe, Saint Clair, and 313. The pizzas are all Detroit-style square pies. It is a pretty thick crust but it was crispy and airy light. The toppings on all our pizzas were generous and none of us went away hungry. Had leftovers to boot! The place was pretty crowded since it is so close to the Atantis during HAN but our waitress, Kayla, was great. Friendly, helpful, and patient with our day drinking brains! The restaurant has a full bar, a few TV screens and overall a pretty fun, chill, vibe. I'd definitely recommend a visit. read more

My dad has been grabbing R Town pizza for a few years now for his annual Christmas party. I'm always super impressed with them and while I haven't been to the physical location, their to-go options have always been amazing. Last night we had the Mediterranean, the BBQ chicken, the pepperoni, garlic cheese bread, and the Ceasar and Mediterranean salads. The Mediterranean pizza was out of this world. The lamb on it was crazy good. I enjoyed the balsamic glaze drizzle on the BBQ chicken and the pepperoni had a great spice to it. The salads were fresh and well dressed. I loved the olives and peppers in the Mediterranean. The order was ready pretty close to when they told us it would be. We've never had an issue with pick up. Since I've never really been in the physical location I can't fully speak to the ambiance, but the box art is very cool and the vibes always seem good during pick up. I'll have to make it to R Town to eat in one day, but whether eat in or to go, R Town is a great spot. read more
This is one of my favorite pizza places in town. Im a native NYer and can't stand most pizza from chains or that casserole called pizza from Chicago but R-Town's Detroit style hits the spot for me! My favorite from the menu is the Robocop. Capicola, soprasetts and sausage dusted with hot pepper flakes really hits the spot Good music, friendly staff and great food makes this worth the trip to Reno! read more
We are waaaay late writing this review because R Town is our FAVORITE pizza joint in town and has been since they opened. Marvin and his staff work their a**es off each and every day and are such a wonderful group of people! They go above and beyond for every customer and make each visit a wonderful experience. There is plenty of seating throughout the restaurant as well on the shared patio. We love sitting at the bar so we can chat with the staff and watch the back of the house work their magic. There is always a great selection of draft beers and carefully curated cocktails, and there isn't an item on the menu we haven't liked. Our go-to pizza is the Pepenillo Ricardo (off-menu item) and we love ordering the caprese starter. Don't forget to bring some quarters so you can play pinball!! Keep up the amazing work, team! I learned about R Town Pizza for the first time when I attended the Yelp Experience: NVDiabetes Winter Wonderland event the other day at the Atlantis Casino. The meatballs they were serving were delicious, so wanted to try their pizza and I also wanted to support them, as they supported the Yelp event, so I went there this last Saturday. My first impression was of an old school family pizzeria. It reminded me when I played Little League Baseball and every time we won, our coach would take us for pizza at a place very similar to R Town. I ordered a half portion of their Everyday Salad and a small Three One Three Pizza. The two were delicious. The pizza was Detroit Style (deep dish, in rectangular form, with square slices). Although at first, the server was a little rough, she ended up providing very good service. I guess she was rushed at the time. We're all human. I recommend you try this very different/delicious style of pizza. read more

I had several people tell me the pizza here was really good, so I was really looking forward to trying it. We told our server it was our first time as we looked through the menu, but I felt her impatience and honestly felt rushed into ordering. So yes, the service started a little rough, but it did get better. The place itself I love. Super down to earth, with that neighborhood Pizzeria feel. We ordered the Three One Three, 4 corner pizza. Well, this pizza really exceeded my expectation. The sauce was really tasty and although I usually go for thinner crust pizza, I really enjoyed the Detroit style. Also, this size with 6 slices, was the perfect size for my husband and I. I would love to come back and try some of the other items on the menu. read more

R Town Pizza is serving up some seriously creative and delicious pies in Reno. I come here often and this time I tried the Ranger Rick and the Panopoulos, and both were absolutely on point. The Ranger Rick is a flavor bomb! It comes with fennel sausage, Calabrian chili, red onion and all comes together perfectly with the pepperoncini and red sauce racing stripes. Add in the fresh basil and you've got a balanced, spicy, aromatic pie that really stands out. The Panopoulos was a sweet and savory dream. It comes with Canadian bacon, smoked bacon, pineapple jam, red sauce and parmesan. I added spicy ranch which made it perfect for my taste. The only downside? They occasionally sell out of pizza and close early. It's a bit disappointing when you're craving their pies and show up too late. Definitely call or check their Instagram and plan ahead. That said, when they're open and you get your hands on their pizza, it's 100% worth it. Great crust (even the gluten free is good), unique combinations, and bold flavors. The bright red logo caught our eye the other day so we chose tonight to give this pizza shop a test run. The first thing we noticed was how busy is was for a Tuesday, which is so nice to see. We were seated shortly after arriving and greeted immediately by our waitress. We explained it was our first time and she helped us navigate the menu and land on our choices for the night. Meatballs and garlic bread... amazing. Great flavor with the right amount of heat. The Three One Three... pepperoni, cheese and more pepperoni; how could you go wrong? Delicious. Lastly, I couldn't decide and went halfsies on Robocop and Spirit of Detroit. Both sounded amazing and surprise surprise, both WERE amazing. S.o.D. had fresh tomatoes and balsamic drizzle that was so light but so flavorful. Robocop on the other side was a meatlovers dream. Swear each bite had different flavor profiles of all the meats loaded on. All in all we were totally impressed. Even though they were busy we were checked in on numerous times and left knowing we'll be back again. Gained a few fans tonight! read more
I was suggested this pizza place by many. I ended up ordering on UberEats. This pizza was great!!!! Perfect size for me and my finance to share. The ranch is very good as well, a lot of dill flavor if you like that type of ranch. Their menu looks amazing and I definitely want to try other pizzas!!! read more
