If I could give negative I would They took forever to remodel the bathroom. Very rude and unprofessional Used the kitchen sink to mix dry wall mix to mix and obviously pour it down the drain (because the sink backed up after and a plumber had to be called). Have picture of of compound stuck to side of sink that I had to scrap off. The patch job on the dry wall is horrible. Would only come for about a couple hours a day. Never told me when they were starting. Used out ladder without asking. Would never recommend ever read more

LONG RANT Long story long, I hired Contractor who owns the company R3Modeling Innovation in new Lenox to renovate a new house I just bought. WOW what a DISASTER this guy and his company is. I hired this man to knock down two walls and re work duct work inside those walls. Very big job to do but this man assured me he can do it no problem. This guy apparently just wanted our money and had absolutely no idea what he was doing. He was delayed and delayed and delayed the entire process and caused me to push other projects and companies back, which can happen so I dealt with it. What I couldn't deal with was him and his workers constantly changing the contract and project we agreed to in the beginning. I went out of town for two days and everything became messed up. The owner and his workers would constantly change the floor plan, length of the wall (defeating the entire purpose of an open concept), areas new soffits would be built and much more, all without telling me one word about it, just doing it. R3MODELING wrote in their contract how they would not be removing any vents and would be tying them into the unit already existing so we wouldn't lose airflow. This was a flat out lie as u can see by the pictures. The owner and his workers completely cut out atleast 3 Vents leaving us with no airflow to the upstairs on over 90 degree summer days. This man didn't care. I called him to tell him numerous times there was no air flow going to the upstairs and he said quote "Jon I dk what to tell you but we are done there. You might have to sacrifice airflow up there now." Is this dude insane? Who in there right mind would ever agree to losing airflow and losing any existing hvac work upstairs to accomplish this. This was also never discussed, written, or talked about whatsoever the entire process until he realized he couldn't complete the task. The owner made every excuse there was to make, whether telling me we didn't know how to work a thermostat , our vents are broken, or the system needed time to run. Finally, he admitted to me in an email that HE DIDNT HAVE TIME TO CHECK ANY OF THE WORK. How do you go one week telling me you are done and everything is ok to telling me YOU DIDNT EVEN CHECK YOUR WORK TO SEE IF IT FUNCTIONS CORRECTLY! What kind of contractor are you? We gave this man so much time to make this right but his ego wouldn't let him. We were supposed to have a final walkthrough and that never happened. Him and his company never even cleaned up all the garbage, tin, and debris left behind from the shitty ass work performed as u can also see in these pictures. We had two independent REPUTABLE hvac companies come out here to take a look at what was done and both said how awful of a job this man and his company did and a good portion of it wasn't even up to code! They used the wrong sizing on all ducts, leaks in all airflows and eliminated multiple ducts when he lied to me saying he wouldn't. Both companies gave me a laundry list of errors and half ass work this company made and did. This company is TRASH . I dk how he can live with himself doing business this way. The worst part of all this is we were good friends with his wife and why he was even recommended. Shame on me for not checking the reviews (and MY GOD THEY ARE BRUTAL, check them out for yourselves I encourage it) bc who would think your "friend" would rip u off this bad and do such a shitty job on literally everything you touch? Way to ruin friendships buddy You should be ashamed of yourself in every way possible. Now we are welcoming a new born into our lives from separate homes bc this place isn't livaeble and will be spending double the amount of $ we already paid this company for someone else to come fix every single mistake. they were late for the appointment I had and when I called, he said he would be there by 3:00. He showed up after 3:30. No big deal I thought. He was very nice and looked at the work I needed done. He told me I would get the estimate in about a week. Two weeks later I called because I didn't get the estimate, so I called to find out when I could expect it. A different gentleman told me he was sorry and that they were busy so I could expect it on Monday or Tuesday. I didn't think much of it. I figured they were busy because they did good work. Tuesday came and went, so I decided to look at their reviews on line and noticed that everyone who had a complaint experienced the same problem, so I'll be looking for a new contractor. read more

Can not believe Patrick would insult us by calling us GHETTO and mock us for doing business with him. I will be honest, through the construction phase things were fine, but post-construction R3 and Patrick were very slow to respond, would not answer calls, and would only text us. When he asked for a post-construction punch-list, he claimed existing conditions were to the reason for damages. I think he forgot that we have contractors that live in this house and know general practice. The insulting text messages he sent us reflect the way Patrick does business and truly shows how unprofessional he is and the lack of integrity and values his company has. It is sad it came to this and is embarrassing to see how Patrick handles customer service. The damages needed to be fixed are only a couple hundred dollars of the 50k+ total for the project. We have never seen a business owner act so immature to customers. Bad practice = bad business partner. read more

We have had Remodeling Innovations do several jobs for us. They tore down an addition and put in a new deck; put in a granite kitchen countertop; and put in a new dining room ceiling. We have found that they show up when promised and meet the terms of their contracts. We have not had any hidden charges. For the most part, their work is of high quality. I am waiting to talk to the owner, Pat, two weeks now, to talk to me about the , in my opinion, poor and incomplete service. I had a mold problem on my window frames. They came and worked on them and one of the workers said after they "completed" the job that they at least got 90% of it. I called they came back, sanded a little more and told me that there was no need to reapply a finish coat because the original was still alright. This is a poorly ran company that does not like to return phone calls. My wife went into the shop first and left her number so that they could get back to her and schedule a date to come see our bathroom we wanted remodeled, they never called her. She called them and left messages twice with no return call. We should have stopped there but... I stopped in and setup a date to have them come look at the work we wanted done. One guy showed up to take measurements and the guy was rude, red flag number two. He said they would get us a quote it would take a couple of days. Two weeks went by, my wife called and left a messages a couple of times with no call back. She stopped in to talk with them and they decided that they were too busy and didn't want to do the work. I was looking for new countertops and a backsplash. I shopped a couple other contractors and visited a granite warehouse, prior to contacting R3MODELING Innovation. I had never looked into any kind of renovation, and had no idea what the process was, or what to expect. I felt rushed, and as though my job was not big enough, with the people I met with, before I met with Pat, from R3MODELING. He was incredibly helpful and patient. He worked with me on design and took time to sit with me and go through various tile and granite combinations. He was easy to work with, punctual, and very responsive to emails, texts, and phone calls. He took care of old countertop removal, new counter top installation, new sink, new faucet installation, garbage disposal reconnect, and backsplash. I am very tied up with family obligations and driving my kids around, and it was fabulous that Pat and his crew were always on time and great at communicating the work schedule. When I first met with Pat, I let him know I wanted all work completed by the time I went on vacation, and he had no problem meeting that deadline. I was very pleased with all of the work done, and I would definitely recommend R3MODELING Innovation to anyone looking for quality work and an honest contractor. read more
