It's ok....I was hoping for better. We came in for drink and some snacks. Super quiet in the bar area. Happy hour looks as though it is everyday. Bartner was very friendly and accommodating. Food came out fast. We tried the CHILI PONZU YELLOWTAIL ROLL - Just ok Roll was Spicy yellowtail mix, cucumber, avocado, jalapeños and cilantro; topped with yellowtail I think it was $17-$18 for 8 pieces - not worth more than $10 to me. There was enough sauce in the middle for 10 rolls. Pot stickers were nice and hot, nothing special. Drinks were ok. I tried their Lychee martini and it was good. We will come back again another time.

I had a coupon for my birthday, so I decided to swing by this place. There is a pretty extensive menu, and lots of options for you to choose from. Some of the other menu items, like the hibachi, were a bit on the pricier side to my surprise. There were a lot of creative sushi options; and it took me a minute to narrow it down to two rolls. The sushi was enjoyable and was surprisingly extremely filling. My waitress, Andrea, was very friendly, attentive, and did a great job holding down the lunch crowd at and around the bar.

Great food and great service! Had an amazing old fashioned with Japanese whiskey - highly recommend it! Special shout out to bartenders Brandon and Kayla who are always amazing and take care of me when I sit at the bar. And of course thanks to Andrea - the place wouldn't run smoothly without her. Do yourself a favor and check this gem out!

First time diners here and the service was spot on. We were given a welcome gift of free edamame, and the server went so far as to print out a recipe with all ingredients listed in concern for my allergy. The area where the restaurant was located has lovely shopping and a lawn space where kids could play. I look forward to coming back to Happy Hour again-Huge portions and good value!

I've been dreaming of their calamari for close to ten years (since it's been so long that I've been in Plano area). Brought my boyfriend here and he was just as amazed as I was. So glad we had an amazing server, Blake. He was so kind and helpful with his suggestions & making sure we ordered a well rounded meal, flavor wise. His suggestion for the naughty toro roll and garlic dipping sauce for edamame were spot on. I drink a LOT of water and he made sure my cup never even got close to empty. Blake was thorough and consistent in checking in on us. Great guy. The manager even stopped by to make sure everything was great and of course it was. This location is the closest to us even though it's still quite far, we will definitely be back. There's also a really cool open bar area that leads outside which was really nice on a day like this. DO NOT SKIP THE TEMPURA CALAMARI APPETIZER!!

I stopped by with a friend after work for happy hour and was not dissapointed! Their happy hour menu has many items that can cover your whole meal, plus a drink. My favorite dishes were the avacado salmon sashimi and the naughty toro roll. Our server Kat was super friendly and attentive, and the restaurant had a modern vibe. It's in a great location with other things to do, I def recommend stopping by if you're craving sushi!

We came here for Christmas dinner. The service and food are always excellent. The ambiance is cool and stylish. We'll be back for sure, can't wait!

Worth every penny! I would recommend coming during happy hour for the pork gyoza, TAKOYAKI, and viva Las Vegas roll. We never had Takoyki before and this one was filled with squid which was a nice surprise. The sauce really makes the dish as well. It complimented the takoyki perfectly. The Viva Las Vegas roll was fried but had a chilled centered. The piece of shrimp were HUGE. And very filling. The shrimp chili roll also has LARGE shrimp on top along with a very spicy jalapeño. I was so full when I left. The kitchen service was a little slow. We got items a little out of order but it was a Friday night and I'm sure they were busy!

I recently had a incredible dining experience @ Ra Sushi in Southlake, from the moment I walked in I was greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. For starter I got the garlic ponzu, pork gyoza, sashimi & fried rice with steak with side of melted butter. Sashimi was incredible fresh & melted in my mouth. The fried rice was perfectly cooked, pack with flavor and the tender steak added an extra touch of indulgence. If you're a Sushi lover like me, I highly recommend giving this place a try during happy hour .

We've been looking for a good sushi place since moving to the area. My husband thought it would be great to start with a well established business as a framework for finding our sushi sweet spot. He ordered a California roll (that's his gauge of a sushi restaurant because... How could you mess that up?). I ordered a rainbow roll. My rainbow roll is smaller than my hand (so authentic Japanese roll sized?) and cost $17. The fish was extra fishy and slimy, didn't smell fresh, and tasted frozen. The tuna was the closest to fresh and still left me disappointed.

So this place has a late night happy hour. We drove all the way from forthworth to try it out. I know this is a chain sushi restaurant, and they have one here in dfw. Was excited to spend some time with my sis since I don't live in Texas. The restaurant was dark and chill, just like a bar life vibe. We got in, and these host or waitress give us a look and just keep walking around like 3 times when they aren't even busy at all. The guy at the sushi bar was making food and had to yell out and greeted us. Like a good 7 minutes wait, got seated down. Our waitress came and greeted us and passed out the menu. We were looking thru for about 8-10 minutes. She came back and checked on us, and I said it our first time here, and we wanted to do happy hour. She says we get a complimentary Edamame for the first time, so she lets us look at the menu again while she puts the order in the kitchen. We finally picked out what we like to try in the Happy Hour menu. She came back and started asking what we wanted. I pointed out most of the happy hour food items, and she also acknowledged it was HH Menu. I think it was like another 8-10 minutes before the Happy Hour start. She doesn't even give us a heads up that we can't order beforehand. She should have let us know that we can wait for another 8 minutes and she will order it for us. The food came out, and most of it is ok! We finally got our bills, and I was so curious why the price is different than the Happy Hour price list. I got the manager to come, and he was saying sorry and went to check. The conclusion was that our waitress put in the order before the happy hour started, so their pos didn't change. I mean, we specifically said Happy Hour????? What a bad service. She went along with us, pointing what was good in the Happy Hour menu. What a joke. The manager didn't want to override the price for us or do anything. Customers are always right, and I don't know what to say about this situation. Couldn't satisfy me at all. I was pissed off and still paid for the bill. Never again with this business.

Both the Tavern and Tycoon are in Flower Mound, and I have not visited, but I have made stops at both Jane and now Volstead. And I have to say, I wanted to be impressed, and I just wasn't. When I went to Jane, the cocktails were not up to snuff. My visit to Volstead, the cocktail was fantastic but the ambiance and food disappointed. I came into Volstead to check out the happy hour. They have a discount on wine, and half off their signature cocktails and martinis. They make craft cocktails, which were impressive, but only have one bartender. It takes time, but they could use another. I ordered a Volstead Vesper. It is a bold martini. Josh made it well. It was well balanced. Boozy yet balanced. And I love a lemon curl. A garnish can really elevate a cocktail. Five stars for the drink. I will come back and order another one. I also ordered their spicy tuna crispy rice. It was rather a disappointment. The serving size was generous, the crunch on the rice was there, and then it fell short. The texture of the rice was on the mushier side. The tuna was NOT spicy. It had been dressed in something, but it brought absolutely NO flavor or anything to the tuna. There was a wasabi cream and a sauce (maybe eel sauce) that dressed the plate, but the tuna was bland. A little soy, citrus, yuzu, sriracha or SOMETHING to elevate and brighten the tuna would have been EVERYTHING. So it just ended up being bland tuna, on undressed avocado, on fried mushy rice with some tasty sauces. It absolutely was not spicy. And with a little something something it could have been rather tasty. Even with mushy rice. When I walked in and sat down, there was no music playing so you were just hearing conversations bouncing off the walls. After about a half hour someone decided they needed some tunes, but then it was too loud and it was hard to hear the bar tenders. I loved the decor, and again, my cocktail was really rather good. The overall feel just felt kind of sloppy. It could have been awesome, and fell short. They claim to have Southlakes best burger, and maybe that is a better choice than the tuna. I may give it a shot. It got rather popular as I was leaving, the crowd a bit more mature. And maybe that is their bag. They have great reviews and high stars, I just didn't feel it.
