Say no more - busting a U to look for parking! Around the block are some metered parking options (or drive a little further on Main Street and find a big ol' parking lot with paid kiosk option). When I waltzed into Rabano, the first two things I was struck by were the clean, aesthetic feel, and a packed restaurant (despite the fact it was past 2pm)?! When I glanced at the menu, I was pleasantly surprised to see the amount of interesting foods available. That plus I was starving..? Woof. This restaurant opened 3 months ago. You order at the counter and you will be given a number. The server will bring the food to you. The service process was a bit mix and confusing. I ordered the Southwestern Salad. When the salad arrived, I was given a fork. My friend ordered a hamburger. She wasn't given any utensils. We had to flag the server down a couple of times because I wanted a knife and she wanted a fork. I think it would have been so much easier if they just have the utensils out next to where the paper water cups were next to the water station. Since, it is a self-service concept, then just carry it all the way through so the customers can get their own water, utensils and napkins. The ambiance was great. There is high ceiling and plenty of seating inside and outside. The space is really cute and modern. The food was good, but not exceptional enough for me to want to go back. My salad came with chicken and the salad dressing was a cilantro cream dressing. Again, good but I have had it elsewhere. Also, I got the espresso + mocha frosty latte (I was really looking forward to this), and at first it wasn't sweet enough and then it was too sweet after I requested for more syrup. I couldn't taste the coffee flavor at all and that's what I really wanted. The people who took my order and serviced us were nice. The bathroom is really cool too; ,modern, new, clean and spacious. Found this spot here on Yelp, walked over for lunch and was very pleasantly surprised! Super robust menu with all kinds of healthy and fast casual offerings spanning tons of flavor profiles. The prices are reasonable for the portion size and I thought the food was absolutely delicious. My cuban pulled pork bowl was cooked to perfection and came out of the kitchen in under five minutes. I also thought the cold brew was some of the best I've had in a long time with a rich, smooth flavor. The restaurant is super clean, modern and welcoming. The staff were extremely friendly. My dog even enjoyed the visit as the whole place seemed pretty pet friendly. Looking forward to coming back here and trying more things on the menu. Finally had lunch today; tried the KABOBS MEDITERRANEO BOWL (Free-range chicken skewers were moist and plenty of chicken for me, hummus, toum (vegan garlic sauce), side salad of: greens, cucumber, olives, tomato, red onion. This place is great. I've had their food twice, once as takeout and the other for delivery via postmates. I really appreciate how they opt for sustainable and grass-fed/pasture raised meats and locally sourced greens, and it's not even heavily reflected in the prices. A really good go-to and the food is delicious. Some things I like have been the chicken pesto sandwich and the fish and vegetarian tacos. How have we never tried this place before?! If you're like us, you've been missing out. We found Robano when we were looking for a place to eat lunch that was close to Holey Grail because we needed to pick up some donuts. (Yes, I realize need is a strong word, but I was invited to a Yelp Community event, and would you pass up the chance for free donuts?) Extensive menu including kids options, interesting sounding good, almost 5 stars on Yelp, and outdoor seating - this place checked all the boxes. It took us quite a while to order because there were so many options to choose from, including drinks. There was a 20% off Yelp check-in offer, so don't pass that up if it's your first time there. I can't comment on the fish and shrimp tacos because my husband ate them all, but he said they were good. My daughter ate all the chicken and most of the corn and black beans from her Little Bamba plate, but she was most excited about her strawberry glitz drink, which was quite tasty. I ordered the Lechon Cubano over greens, and it was soooo good. The pork was fall-apart tender, juicy, and flavorful, and went so well with the pickled onions and black beans. I tried to get a little bit of everything in every bite. The plantains were sweet and delicious, though I only got to eat one because my daughter stole the other one. I've been trying to incorporate more protein and more greens into my diet lately, so this dish was perfect. The only thing I didn't love was the Zingy, which I was hoping would have a sweet and hot profile, but it was mostly just sour. The Passionable fizzy, however, was perfect - refreshing, good flavor, and not overly sweet. All of the food coming out of the kitchen looked delicious. We've eater here several times and enjoyed it. Not so much tonight. My husband ordered a chicken bowl and I ordered a burger. The bowl was brought out to our table very quickly. Probably within 5 minutes after we sat down. My husband did not want to start eating his dinner before mine arrived. We waited. And waited. His dinner is now getting cold so after about 10 minutes I went up to the counter thinking that they somehow forgot about my burger. When I asked about the burger on our order, the young lady told me that the burgers take about 15 minutes to prepare. Okay. Then I asked her why would they start preparing and serve the bowl first knowing that the burger takes longer. Her reply "We have no control over the kitchen". Common sense would dictate that you don't prepare and serve one entree 12 minutes before you bring out the other entree. Needless to say, my husband did not enjoy his cold dinner. My favorite is the Kebab Mediterraneo, it's a pretty big portion, and absolutely delicious. I have also gotten the Lechon Cubano and Thai Chicken Bowl. Cubano is full of flavor. I got the Lechon Cubano ($17) and strawberry glitz ($6) and tried the espresso matcha ($7). The entree I got was delicious and a large serving size. The pork juice mixed into the rice to give it the perfect flavor and texture. Before trying this dish, I didn't even realize this simple combination of ingredients could come together so well! I don't think I would get the strawberry glitz (a strawberry lemonade with mint, though I couldn't really taste the mint) again, but I would get the espresso matcha every time I come. It was so creamy while still being light, and the espresso flavor was just the right balance to feel refreshing without being too mild or overpowering. The space is roomy, offering a variety of seating options--from a cozy couch table and single window seats to outdoor seating, perfect for any night. Parking is convenient, with two spots available on the lot or ample street parking that's always accessible. Stay cool with a wide selection of drinks, teas, and coffees, catering to all tastes. Although we're vegan, our friends aren't, yet everyone found something delightful to enjoy. We started early with some selections from the Cravables section of the menu which were simply outstanding. The daily soup was a revelation in taste, perfectly seasoned. The Papas Fritas were fried to perfection, neither oily nor overcooked, just perfect crispy fries. The Edamame Wontons were another hit, with their super crispy texture and a light spicy-sweet sauce that was the perfect complement to the creamy edamame filling. When our friends arrived, they dove into the Meilings Chinese salad from the Sustainable Greens section, proclaiming it the best meal of their 17-day trip. Her husband chose the vegan Green Earth Burger from the Burgers section and was very impressed by its size and flavor--a real win with the foodies! My own choice was the vegan Peruvian Saltado from the Super Bowls menu, which was absolutely divine. Meanwhile, my partner, always on the hunt for a good Bahn Mi, found exactly what he was looking for in the Wich Say You section of the menu. Originally from China, they moved to Cuba and eventually venturing to Peru, bringing with them a unique culinary fusion of Chinese and Japanese techniques with Latin Peruvian and Cuban flavors. What a beautiful family owned restaurant. They offer a large variety of gluten-free, vegetarian and vegand options. The best part is that they offer different types of Latin dishes. I noticed they offered Peruvian dishes, and as a Peruvian, I was curious and had to try. OMG!!! When I say they got the spices and flavor down, I mean it!!!! Their modern take on saltado reminded me of my grandma's dishes. I honestly was surprised. I had to get to know the owner better because they also offered noodles or fried rice or chaufa. Their had to be a Chinese connection. I had to ask where the owner came from and dug deeper. I spoke with one of the servers, Nathan, who is a hard-working and gentle soul. He shared their story. The owners are from China, fled to Cuba, eventually making it to Peru. I knew it! The flavors were so authentic that there had to be some sort of connection. Peruvian food also has Chinese and Japanese fusion dishes, which Rabano does an amazing job at recreating. As a Peruvian, I am so proud of Rabano representing Latin dishes and DESSERTS!!!
