Pedro Perez was an absolute nightmare. I tell him that I'm there for the oil change special that comes with a tire rotation and that I also wanted to check out one of the sensors that flickered randomly. I explained to him that this problem happened the last time right before my car cut off in the middle of the freeway and I was afraid it was going to happen again. Guess what this guy tells me... He asks me about my mileage and I tell him 38 thousand miles. He said "You need the 30k second maintenance for your car. It will fix that issue." It takes everything in me not to laugh in this guy's face. So I say " You're telling me that the maintenance package that is made to maintenance the vehicle that is two years old is going to fix an ELECTRICAL PROBLEM?" So I just decline the service and he then tells me to pop my hood.. I'm confused. He goes right for my air filter :/ I'm looking at him looking at the air filter that really doesn't look to be dirty at all. He places it back and I'm assuming he's thinking the same thing because he didn't say a word. Otherwise that probably would have been his "IN" to reiterate that I needed 30k maintenance on the car. After that I ask him if he has a shuttle service so I can get a ride home. He says "We don't give rides for oil changes." In my head I'm thinking..uh you just quoted me 2 hours, so I'm just stuck here in hot as hell riverside for 2 hours instead of my AC filled living room. Cool. So I just say forget it. I went there with my first new Nissan (Sentra SV) in February of 2016 because my gear shifter was locked in park and would not move! They tried very hard to tell me that it was probably MY FAULT BECAUSE I PROBABLY SPILLED SODA OR SOMETHING ON THE GEARSHIFT! When I didn't fall for that Bullshit they tried using scare tactics and saying that if they found ANYTHING like soda that I would have to pay for all of the work: Parts & Labor! I told them that I was 100% positive that it was a mechanical error and so he made me sign a paper saying that I understand it won't be covered if it was liquid (coffee/soda). Long story short, this was a factory recall that they were denying so they wouldn't lose money! I then made the stupid mistake of listening to the sales Mgr who told me she felt bad and wanted to try and make it up to me by giving me a "great deal " on a new car. I decided to give them a second chance...BIG MISTAKE!!!! Long story short, the brand new Altima HAD THE SAME PROBLEM!!! Not only that but another BOZO tried all of the same tactics AGAIN!! When I got my car back the electrical started going crazy! I took it in and they said it was my fault! After they did their diagnostic they had to admit that they were at fault. So I scheduled an appointment for 4 weeks later. I arrived but was told that someone forgot to order the parts! Three weeks later I show up but someone had sent the parts back to Japan! I returned again four weeks later and guess what/THEY HADN'T ORDERED THE PARTS YET...AGAIN!!! Six months later the car was finally fixed BUT I WAS IN SHOCK AT HOW THEY GAVE IT BACK TO ME!!! BUYER BEWARE. They advertise a car below market value, then they add an unneeded package of features to get you to the price they really intend to sell the car for, once you are there. It's a dishonest, click-bait advertising system to get people to drive to Riverside to try to force features no one asked for, in efforts to equal the true value of the car. The SUV we were interested in has THREE accidents (2 minor & and 1 moderate). The accidents obviously were not listed anywhere when you check the listing. It made sense that the car was priced 2.5K below value, given the accidents! Despite that, we were willing to take a look as some accidents are cosmetic and if fixed well, don't matter IF the car runs wells and price is FAIR. The sales person, Mark, is very professional and kind. They then get you to the point of test driving and during the ride, they casually throw in the fact that they have a "package" that comes included at a cost; an anti-theft system, nitro in the tires and seat treatment protection. AKA - the con is on. The salesperson then hands you over to the "manager" who is polite & smooth talking, and asks if he can make the numbers work, will you drive out with the car. We had a trade-in, our answer was - if the numbers work, yes. The Manager goes back and forth a few times talking to who knows who, then comes back talking about being "honest" about the package and how it comes standard and will try to get it reduced in price.... then at one points returns with a print out of the the bluebook of the car they are selling - assuming it has ZERO accidents.... low and behold the value is around $2.500. more than what they are selling it for. How much is their "package" which was all of a sudden was non-negotiable?? $2,300. Go figure. If I am going to buy a car at market value, I will buy one with ZERO accidents. To top it off they low balled the trade-in claiming cars over 100k are higher risk - I wondered if they really thought we don't get the fact that blue book value INCLUDES and considers the mileage in it's estimated trade in value (you think people are fools and it looks bad on you). He asked us to increase our ability to pay or extend the loan to 7 years to make it work. As they saw we weren't buying the BS they kindly told us to kick rocks and were pretty much done with us. I found this dealer by putting my car information into CarGurus and this dealer reached out. I spoke with David over the phone multiple times in regard to an offer on my vehicle and set an appointment to come in this morning. He assured me that they could give me at least $23,500 for it (via text). I told him I had another dealer willing to go $24,500 and he said they could be competitive. I sent them photos of the car and felt good about coming in and getting close to what I wanted. I got there this morning (with the car completely cleaned out and ready to sell) and David was not there. Not only was he not there, but he wasn't even scheduled to work Sunday or Monday, so not sure why he would set an appointment for 11am and tell me to ask for him when we arrived. We worked with some other guy who couldn't figure out what trim level my vehicle was and basically fudged the KBB value to say my car was only worth $16k. Our car was burning oil. Raceway was suppose to fix the problem. A few weeks have gone by, check the oil and there was barely any oil. My husband checked the oil after it was serviced and topped the oil off. The car is definitely still burning oil. They either didn't do the work or diagnosed the car incorrectly. I have been calling for the service manager and the general manager neither one returns calls. I get the run around when I call in letting the person answering the phone know I need to speak with one of them. We paid quite a bit of money for the repairs. Anyone who deals with the dealer knows they are expensive. It pitiful we can not trust Raceway to be a honest reputable company. We have been dealing with Nissan for many years. I told her I'm getting better quotes from other makes and asked if she want to give me a best offer on a particular truck on their website. She said that she can't make offers unless it's in person and insisted that I come in. She said that by coming in it shows that I'm a serious buyer and "will" negotiate on the price. She also told me to bring the other offer which I did. So I took valuable time off work to "come in". She remained in contact with me all the way until the time I arrived, but she wasn't there. So I went online to start searching for a car. I contacted Raceway Nissan and after some time arranging, I got a follow up call with some interesting news. Apparently the list price on the internet is wrong. Apparently there were added accessories to the car that weren't accounted for and the Rep sent me the "Strutured" price of the car. So the security system was about 2500 more and he added an extended warranty, not my request, for another $3500! Since when is a warranty not optional. I read other reviews here and found that this is a common practice here. They claim there was a mistake with pricing and try to talk you into a new price. My last Nissan Dealer said the same thing and when we held him to the advertised price, he honored it! Which is what you should do! Or post the honest price you're looking for! I recently purchased a used Tacoma from this dealership. Pete Acevedo was very kind and patient with me, which I really appreciated. After months of searching for a vehicle, I was able to purchase the truck that I had been looking for. I completed the deal at the dealership the day of my test drive and was told I would receive financial information in the mail after signing the paperwork. I also approved purchasing a service plan that would give me 3 years of oil changes covered by the dealership. In return, I would get a slightly lower interest rate. Weeks after the purchase, I had received nothing in the mail from the credit union I was supposed to be financed through. I then called the credit union and they had no history of purchase in my name. The dealership called me and informed me that I was now being financed through a different credit union and that I would have to come back in to sign more paperwork. I went in to sign the paperwork for what I thought was a different credit union. I was told then that it's actually through the original credit union but for a higher interest rate. The next day I received a letter at my home that the deal for the vehicle wasn't complete and that I needed to return the vehicle in as bought condition. I called the dealership asking for a manager to discuss this letter and they told me they would have someone reach out to me. After a couple days, I never received a call so I called again asking to speak to the financial department or anyone that can assist me with the notice I received. My call was never transferred to the financial department but the man on the phone told me to ignore the letter and that it's an automated notice that the dealership sends out. My assumption was the credit union rejected the original terms of our deal made by the dealership. Somehow, I was still allowed to drive the vehicle off the lot as my own. After being rejected by the credit union, I believe the dealership then searched for other credit unions to finance my vehicle, without informing me of doing so. After the dealership searched for other credit unions, I believe the original credit union countered the original offer with a higher interest rate and that's why I had to go back in to to the dealership to sign new paperwork. After the phone call I had with the man that told me to ignore the return notice, I called the dealership once more to get confirmation that the vehicle is mine and I would receive confirmation in the mail from the credit union. I was told I would. Finally, I received information in the mail from the credit union and I was happy to set up my payments. Shortly after, the dealership's service department texted me to set up an oil change. I responded saying that an oil change isn't necessary yet as I had just purchased the vehicle, but I'd like to confirm that I have 3 years of covered oil changes. After a week, no one texted me back. I texted again and someone texted back saying they would transfer our conversation to someone that can assist me with my service contract details. After another couple days of no response, I texted again saying that no one has contacted me. I finally received a phone call and was told that my oil changes aren't covered and the service package I purchased was void. When I went in to the dealership to sign off on the new updated interest rate, it was never brought to my attention through the finance department that the service plan was no longer included. So now I don't have the covered oil changes that I thought I did when I first purchased the vehicle. I'd like to say that Pete Acevedo and Luis Lopez were great and the reason I'm giving 2 stars. Other than that I can't believe the lack of communication and back and forth it took to purchase my truck. Recently we decided to take our car to raceway Nissan for service due to some issues and Patrick jones in the service dept helped my husband out with the service price and he was so open and honest with us and didn't try and screw ya over like the other dealership .on Friday 3/25 my husbands back brake light went out and he tried to change it himself but didn't wanna break the light as he was taking it off .i decided to take the car to raceway and when I arrived I asked for Patrick he took care of me in a timely manner and even washed our car which empire Nissan never did .if your in the market for a car I would definately give this place a call everyone there is so nice and again the service dept is amazing read more
