Very personable front counter. I have four star ms instead but five because the only soup they had was the tomato, but in a chicken stock base. Decided to grab a wrap from Rachel's for lunch today while running errands at The District. I've never been before and have heard decent things about it so thought it would be a great time to try them out. I pre-ordered online, but the staff member that helped me get my order was friendly. I ordered the crispy chicken wrap and chose a fruit bowl as my side. The fruit was nice and fresh and the portion was good. My wrap was good overall, but 1) I asked for ranch on the side instead of in the wrap; they left me high and dry with no ranch at all. 2) I paid $2 extra for cheddar cheese to be added - only 1/2 of the wrap had cheese and it was all stuffed into the end of that wrap 1/2; definitely not worth the $2 up charge. It was filling, but with the added charge for a tiny portion of cheese, I felt $15+ was a bit high. I'd be curious to try them again in the future, but my first impression wasn't particularly great. Unbelievable. I understand Mother's Day is busy. So I don't expect fast service but the excuses I was given was outrageous given the product they gave us. I'm so angry I can't imagine anyone else would feel anything different. I had ordered a French toast for my kid, and huevos rancheros for myself. big mistake but I'll get into it in a moment. When we were outside about 10-15 mins waiting the cashier came out to say the kitchen was backed up and our meals would be delayed. One man asked her how long, she went back to ask but a few mins later they brought his and another table's food. But after 45 mins waiting and seeing other people get their food, we decided to make it to-go. We had church in 15 mins and we weren't going to be able to attend nor eat here cuz I can tell my kid was heading towards meltdown mode. Unfortunately for me, my son dropped his beet juice at their entrance just as we were coming back in to ask to make our order To go. so now I felt bad and son felt embarrassed. The nice older lady replaced his drink probably seeing my 5 year old's look of dismay at making such a mess. We asked for our meal to-go and the cashier first said in surprise, "Still waiting?" She checked with the kitchen and told them to make our order to go. We got the replacement drink which honestly i felt bad about and thanked them for it. 15 mins later I went up to them because honestly it's now been an hour! What on earth, I wouldn't have minded if I didn't see so many people who came long after me get served their meals. The kitchen lady apologized and said they had mixed up their ingredients for the French toast. They're sorry they didn't tell the cashier sooner that they had run out of French toast batter this morning so she could warn me. Okay... I'm very confused by that because this isn't pancakes... well finally a few mins later they gave us our order and we left cuz 5 year old was still embarrassed and close to meltdown . In getting up to complain we lost our table. That's no one's fault. I just didn't want to leave my number out there when we're inside. They were going in and out taking food out. We went to a public place to eat and to say I was speechless to see what they constitute as French toast is an understatement. What on earth is this?? It's three slices of crusty bread with cinnamon powder sprinkled over it and some fruit. I can't even taste the egg nor the sugar. Also no maple syrup, I guess you have to ask for it??? Needless to say my 5 year old was not impressed. He ate the fruit cuz poor thing was hungry, but what on earth... my huevos rancheros were dry, so the pico de gallo salsa was working overtime to moisten the blue tortilla which I'm sure probably tasted good when it was fresh. But yikes, just yikes. So if i understand correctly... they BAKE THE FRENCH TOAST BREAD?? Listen, their coffee and their juice? EXCELLENT. Great spot near the Green Valley Ranch hotel. We wanted to not eat at the hotel and found this spot. My husband and I split a breakfast burrito and got coffees. Gotta say, the quality has gone downhill. The guy taking our order wouldn't even look us in the eye and our favorite meal was hot watery goop with no flavor or seasoning. I think they thought that if they burnt our tongue, then we wouldn't be able to taste how nasty it was. Also, extra money for 10 small bits of chicken?! I think they dumped way too much garlic on the garlic bread too. We couldn't even eat half of our meal before we got up and left. Couldn't stomach another bite. My family went in there at 6:30 tonight in Green Valley Ranch. The employees were in a hurry to get the place closed. They messed our order up, there were three of us and they only made a salad for my daughter and a sandwich for myself. My bacon was overcooked and stuck together on my bacon avocado club. It had no avocado on it. We ordered regular french fries for my grandson and they were greasy little pieces of burnt ends. My husband had to go back in and pay more, my daughter also had a green juice and the fries a salad a sandwich and the green juice was already over $50 with tax. My husband sandwich was OK. His fries were cold. The sandwich barely had any turkey on it. This place is terrible. It's not even worth leaving a review for. No wonder they only have 3.8 stars. They seem to stay consistently busy and I know they've been in this location for a long time, but the food continues to go downhill. Why doesn't anybody care anymore? Why can't the people in the kitchen put some love into what they're doing and treat the people they're feeding with some respect. You guys are working for a paycheck and we worked for a paycheck to pay for the food you're slopping out at us. And where is the person that owns this place? I was craving a pastrami sandwich today but was in a time crunch before work, so opted to order takeout from Rachel's kitchen since it's both close to home and work. They are consistently busy especially during breakfast and lunch hours so much so, that there really isn't anywhere to eat inside because there are maybe 10-12 tables in the restaurant, that is one reason why when I have a craving for Rachel's kitchen I end up going elsewhere. Their patio is great when it isn't mid July, I love to sit out there people watch and enjoy my salad. They offer a lot of healthy options, salads, yogurt parfait's, wraps, they also have burgers, pastas, and baked good and I good variety of smoothies My order today was quick and efficient 5/5 they actually finished my order right as I arrived to pick it up. I ordered their Chinese chicken salad 5/5 My hubby had their Turkey club 4/5, sandwich itself was great but the fries tasted old and stale. Outdoor seating so inviting on these beautiful Vegas days. I enjoyed their curry chicken salad. The baby variety of salad in it was easy to eat and the chix curry bursting with flavor. This place only got three stars because of the birds in the outdoor dining area. They are a complete nuisance and will interrupt your dining experience. These birds are loud and hang around nearby to wait for you to leave to get your food. Ugh Now, as far as the food. It was delicious! I ordered the turkey avocado sandwich on Ciabatta roll with sweet potato fries. I should have asked for the Ciabatta roll to be toasted more. I didn't know if it would be sliced turkey lunch meat. The price was a bit too high for that, but it didn't taste good. When you go in to the restaurant you go to the counter and place your order and pay first. This location also has outside seating and is a great place to eat if your shopping at The District. The Service is always efficient , today we ate inside so we got the robot to bring our food to the table. For my order I got my usual 1/2 order salad (Arugula pear with chicken) which includes goat cheese and a yummy citrus dressing. I ordered the Summer Peach Salad with grilled chicken added. The chicken was extremely dry and I removed it from my salad. The pieces of peach were hard and not ripe. I ate 5 bites and took the rest of the salad home. The servers were very polite and offered me more dry chicken as compensation. I declined and left with the rest of the greens. The food came out before my drinks (kids oj & vanilla latte) I ordered a med latte and was given a large. I didn't get a receipt, my mistake. Now I wonder what I actually paid for. Is this typical service for this establishment. I don't think I'll be back to find out. my sister comes often & has to check the order every time. Especially for to go orders. Also, my sisters order seemed to be forgotten. I finished my food before theirs arrived. (Minus the bacon, which came very late) they watched me eat and then I watched them eat. This morning after the gym I went to Rachels kitchen and had the favorite. It was 3 eggs, goat cheese, avocado ,sun dried tomatoes, and mushrooms. It was really flavorful, definitely recommend. It's pretty filling as well. It was pretty busy but that's because it's in a great location and the food and smoothies are really good . The cashiers always keep the line moving along . There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating available. It's pretty well lit as well. I also tried the beet lemonade it had a great balance. Before coming to Rachel's Kitchen, I thought it'd be another typical restaurant featuring select dishes by a local known chef. What I found was a totally different concept which I've only seen a handful of times. It's part dine-in, appears like fast-food but casual dining with quality and fresh dishes. I liked that the menu was simple and easy with lots of variety. Also liked that it felt health conscious with options like juices and salads. I had to take it all in so I ordered a bunch of stuff: juice, salad, sandwich, and pasta. Any one of these things would have been enough for an appetite. Each were so satisfying. It is saucy and the pesto creaminess just makes it so good with the mushrooms, peas, and chicken.
