Great customer service! I brought in a 15 year old Thule roof carrier, purchased from REI, that I somehow managed to get all out of whack. REI could not help so I went to Rack Attack. Rack Specialist Cesar Hernandez met me at the door, unloaded the 'out of whack rack' and carried it into his work area. A few minutes later he came back with the good news that the carrier was fine and the problem was instead "operator error" i.e. Me! He patiently showed me the correct procedure for opening and closing this carrier and then carried it back and loaded it into my suv. Rack Attack is not in the business of repairing this type of equipment but Caesar explained that because they were a distributor of Thule products he wanted to assist me by diagnosing the problem and then pointing me in the right direction if repairs needed to be made. The store was busy at that time and he didn't have to do this. But, he graciously focused on me and my issue and ensured I was satisfied when I walked out the door. If you are looking for roof carriers, bike racks, or car racks of any type, this is the place to go. The dude behind the counter could barely tear his eyes away from Instagram while another employee, Peter, who was so helpful last time, brought out the rack I ordered. In addition to the rack arriving late (mysteriously only showing up once I called to complain) they left it up to me to discover that it was the WRONG RACK. Peter at first refused to admit that he'd ordered the wrong rack, telling me he'd done me a favor because I'd be able to use it if I ever got a different trailer hitch on my car, and then, when I did get him to admit it, did emphatically NOT apologize for lying to me and wasting a few hours of my day. All Rack Attacks are not created equal. Santa Monica Rack Attack installed a a Thule Hullavator kayak carrier but the roof rack whistled very loudly. I returned one time to the store for adjustments to the rack and mentioned the whistle. I'm not even sure they did anything about the whistle since it didn't change at all. Cut to about 2 months later and I decided to order an 8' Thule awning. I tried the Pasadena store. They were helpful with figuring out the awning. Oscar and the entire team at the Pasadena store got involved and tried some rubber seals on the rack to try and stop the whistle to no avail. But they did try! A week later when I returned for the awning instillation the Rack Attack team realized the S.M. store had not used proper Thule cross bars. The Pasadena store had a Thule crossbar set which I happily purchased. Peter, the manager of the Pasadena store, got on top of my van and personally dialed in the re-install!) Once the new cross bars were swapped out with the reinstalled Hullavotor and the new awning I took my van on a test run and the whistle was gone. So to sum it up they were more patient and better problem solvers at Pasadena. They did a great job. read more

I own a Black Mercedes Benz Metris Van. I needed a rack to carry plywood for business - LACPP.COM. I was calling around for the rack and everyone wanted to sell me a white rack. They would tell me that I could purchase the white rack, have it powder coated black, take it back to them for installation. This seemed over complicated for me. I wanted simple. This COVID thing has been really hard with orders and deliveries. This put me in a real bind with another seller so I tried RackAttack. The COVID crisis caused problems with deliveries still but unlike the other retailer the RackAttack crew went above and beyond to help me out. Their team was excellent I worked with Matt in Boston and Bailey in the Pasadena store and even though they were across the country and super busy they were able to work together and come up with a solution within an hour where I had been working for months with the other retailer on this same thing. They both put in extra leg work with Bailey even driving to pick up a part that I needed on his own time. They even exceeded expectations for the installation time and it looks so good. my I am beyond impressed, customer for life and will only work with RackAttack in the future and all my recommendations will go to them. These guys are awesome. I had several issues related to a rack I have on my truck shell. Long story short, the staff helped me out a ton, even splitting up a pair of support bars as I only needed one. The bar slot/groove for the foot ended up being to short, so they somehow lengthened it..for free!. They then gave me a free key for the locks as I couldn't find mine. I was looking for the Thule T2 X Pro straps for my fat tire ebike. The Thule website indicates they're out of stocks. So I called Rack Attack yesterday and spoke to Bailey, he said they're also out of them. But Bailey was nice enough to do more search for me and found out the straps actually has 2 configurations to it. Not only did he tell me but also emailed me the diagram. I was so thrilled because Thule didn't answer my question about the straps for over a month. Bailey helped me out to solve my fat tire headache. Looking for a tow hitch attachment as well as a bike rack I figured I'd hit a one stop shop and try my luck at this location. Starting out speaking over the phone requesting a quote was simple and painless. I set an appointment to save time. I arrived early informed them I was going to come back around the time they said they'd take. (less than an hour) to my disappointment I returned and they still hadn't even glanced at my vehicle. I stayed patient walked about the store even checked out big five. Returned again to see several people walk in get helped and served install and all BEFORE my vehicle with an appointment. That's when I asked a second time how much longer on my vehicle to the manager who then asked the crew members in the working area that had clearly forgotten all about the task. It was done well and is what I wanted but the service was trash. No apology nothing both men that helped me on the phone and in person were nowhere on sight after they realized how upset I was. So if you want anything done stay in front so they can see you. Unless you're a model or an enforcer they won't stay on task in a timely fashion. My experience was disappointing and I will never recommend or return again which I had planned to do originally. Good luck read more
