I got this for the first time today and I was really impressed. For me, it hit that perfect spot between "rich and delicious" while still feeling light enough that I'm able to continue going about my day. I got the Doner Wrap with beef and lamb and it was delicious. I also got the fries and they were my personal favorite style where it's getting to be a steak fry size-- good fry to potato ratio. The food here is great - good portions (very filling) from what I could see and my sandwich was packed with delicious chicken. It wasn't too dry (one of my worries whenever I eat chicken out) and the sauce (original + tzatziki) was delicious. Louis was very nice and patient to recommend and suggest items based on my questions and preference. The Thai tea was a nice surprise on the menu and I ordered some. It's a nice little clean space and there are only a couple of tables indoors for dining in but we didn't have any issues. Overall based on the food and service I'd return for sure! read more

I used to be a weekly customer ( at least once a week), stopped for a while for being away, the 2 last times one online order and the 2nd on site were less than average. 3/4 days ago I order a a chicken wrap with everything in it with 2 sauces. Updating my review since I came here to eat in person. As suspected, eating here is the way to go. I have had Berlin on my list of places to try in person and it did not disappoint. Restaurant is pretty small with 2 tables inside and shared seating outside. The employees were all super friendly. I ordered the sandwich this time because I saw someone else order it and it looked very tasty with chicken and original sauce. The doner came out fairly quickly. The inside was exactly how I remembered it. The meat was generous and tender. The veggies were fresh. Everything was so much better when I ate it there. Also, the bread was nice crunchy. Definitely this doner should be eaten there for the full experience. I am definitely going to come back here next time my doner craving hits. Horrible. Absolute trash. One of the worst middle-eastern style sandwiches and the first and last time I order anything doner or Turkish style pita breaded sandwich probably ever. What a joke. I've never had hydrogenated chicken breast, but it was quite leathery and had zero flavor . No salt. No pepper. No spices . Tasted like old jerked shoe leather space hide meant for Apollo missions. I mean it tasted like imitation 'veggie' chicken meat, but it wasn't . Taste was that bizarre. Fries were no better. Over cooked, and tasted like it had been sunbathing under the lamp for hours. I come to Berlin's all the time because my barbershop is in the same plaza. Almost every time I get a haircut, I end up grabbing a sandwich here--it's become a routine. Mateas and Luis are the best. They're respectful, fast, and genuinely know how to take care of customers. I've even seen them give free sides like French fries when orders take longer than expected, which shows real appreciation and good service. I usually get the chicken wrap or the doner with house sauce, hot, and spicy. I'm not personally a fan of lamb, but a lot of people love it, so it's worth trying. Came here on a Thursday evening around 6 to grab dinner. It's impossible to find Berliner-style döner kebab in the US, so I have to try it when I see it. It's a small shop with limited seating and the folks working there were incredibly friendly. I put in an order at the counter for the beef and lamb Döner sandwich with feta and the spicy sauce as well as a side of pita and garlic aioli. The flavor was a thing of beauty, I haven't had anything as good as this since my first time having Berliner-style döner in 2014 in Europe. It tasted so good that I went back and put in an order for a chicken Döner sandwich with feta and spicy sauce. This one was also incredible. Don't quite know what to make of this place. Food is fresh and bright and tasty, but a bit above normal market prices. I ate my whole rice bowl in one sitting (chipotle usually lasts me 2). For $20 it's just not a substantial amount of food. Don't know if it was just a lacking day lol. Service staff are great, keep it clean, very prompt and professional. Also why is it named and classified German?! Maybe i'm uneducated here but it didn't taste German at all! Enjoyed it though. Haven't been here for about 10 years and the only thing which resembles the Berlins of old is the name. The energy of the staff was just awful , like they are doing you a favor taking your order and reluctant to answer questions . The food, not good either. This is about as close as one gets to an authentic Doner kebab from Germany. Flavor and spicing is on point. The meat had a terrific flavor, but was not very hot not as crispy as accustomed.The veggies on top are crispy and the tzasiki sauce was plentiful and not overly garlicky like most places. My first visit to this location . I had doner sandwich with beef and lamb. One thing it's really salty and lamb taste is dominant. Born in Turkey the mainland of doner, this is not really doner. Portions for the price is good but taste wise salty and not a good tat ate at all. If you've ever traveled to Germany or Berlin in particular you'll understand the cultural phenomenon that is Doner Kebab. I've been hard pressed to find anything that can scratch that itch. Berlins does excerpt that. Not only is it the only place where you can find an authentic Turkish/German doner Kebab it's probably one of the best places you can find it! My experience there couldn't have been better and the how fresh and delicious everything was took me back to Berlin for a delightful blast of flavor nostalgia. The store front itself isn't anything to write home about and they're a bit tucked away but the food speaks for itself. I'm glad to have found this spot and it's easily going to be a regular indulgence. I hope they're able to open more because this is a good I would want to be more accessible. read more

I really love a good beef lamb wrap and this is a pretty solid place. They also have boba here from popularity of the previous business customers i believe. Parking lot also makes it great. My only comment is when I went most recently they had my order mixed up with my partners, we both just had no onions and added fries to the wrap, but were done oppositely and then fries added on the side as well. It was confusing cause we weren't even on the same ticket. Not an issue, just an odd mixup. I would still recommend. read more

The only authentic German doner place in LA. I've been to Berlin just Germany and of course there is nothing that comes close to the street shops. Though most other Mediterranean places just serve gyros or shawarma wraps, Berlins makes actual doner sandwiches stacked with thin slices of shawarma meat and veggies, topped with a selection of sauces. Service is decent as it's a small place and seemed moderately busy and a bit understaffed. You order at the counter. There is limited seating and no bathroom inside. One of the things I miss most about Berlin is doner - especially doner sandwiches. There are many places that sell doner in Berlin, but there was one place by my flat that I grew obsessed with diner sandwiches (they were like 8€ there too).
