Been eating here for a while since I started working across the street. First thing ms first, the food is AMAZING. Everything I've eaten here I have loved. First thing I ever got was an Italian sandwich which was incredible. But then.... I tried the breakfast sandwiches. Oh. My. Gawd! Untouchable. Their in house lemonades are also incredible. Potato salad. Clutch. But what keeps me coming here aside from the food is the INCREDIBLE staff they have working there. The tall skinny dude at the front. Always greets me with a handshake, a hug, and makes me feel like I'm truly appreciated there. He is the embodiment of the difference between service and hospitality. We went to Uncle Paulie's today for the first time and... WOW! We even got to meet Paulie James, and he was beyond kind and so down-to-earth. You can tell he genuinely cares about the people who walk through his doors. The food was absolutely amazing, and we'll definitely be back! But the real standout was our cashier. He was a 10/10 in every way. He didn't make us feel like just customers--he made us feel like family. That kind of hospitality is rare these days, and it truly made our experience unforgettable. Their breakfast sandwiches are so fire~! I've grabbed sandwiches a few times from here and they always hit just right. The sausage egg & cheese ($13) has scrambled Eggs, a sausage patty & American Cheese on a Poppy Seed Kaiser Roll and it's just so darn good. The Bacon Egg & Cheese ($15.50) is equally as good with the same ingredients except Applewood Smoked Bacon as the protein. They've served me really well for breakfast sandwiches. I don't have kids but their cute menu item of making whatever your kids are into for $7.50 is adorable and considerate. A big fan of Uncle Paulie's Deli and can't wait to try more of their menu! I got 2 cold & 1 hot sandwich to bring back to the South Bay. - Chicken Pesto. The chicken was breaded perfectly. Not too much. The pesto was fantastic. Again, not too much. The mozzarella, I am guessing, was made in house because it was to die for fresh and delicious. This may be my favorite sandwich EVER. -The Joey. (For the hubby) I took a quick bite before he immediately devoured it. Everything tastes so unbelievably fresh. Just the right amount of ingredients, so you can taste everything. -Chicken Parm. My son inhaled it before I could try a bite, but he said it was incredible and could not stop eating it. Wow! The deli is small (as most deli's are). But you can eat inside and a few small tables outside. They have two refrigerators for fresh lemonades and teas made in house as well as your standard canned beverages. I love a good sandwich, and Uncle Paulie's absolutely delivers. Parking is limited and a bit of a pain, but it's worth dealing with. They have over 30 different sandwiches. I also noticed that they serve breakfast all day. I was there for a sandwich, and I went with my go-to: the Italian. I originally planned to take it to go, but the décor changed my mind. Someone clearly put real thought into the space--warm, vintage, and packed with memorabilia that gives the place personality. I stayed. The staff was friendly and efficient, and the sandwich came out quickly. When I unwrapped it, the first thing that stood out was the meat-to-bread ratio--finally, a sandwich that isn't all bread and lettuce. Was in the area recently and decided to check out this local sandwich shop. I was extremely impressed by the huge variety of sandwiches they have. From hot to cold and even cold sides (salads, pasta salads) to choose from. I had a hard time choosing what to order but the cashier was so friendly and helpful. He gave me lots of good recommendations! I ordered the Paulie's Beef and Pepps and The Uncle. I was really impressed by the quality of the meats and the breads was crispy but soft. They are on the pricey side but honestly so worth it. The sandwiches are 10 inches so it is easy to share between 2 people. Given that they're in a mini mall on a side street (though still visible from said street), it's easy to forget this sandwich place exists. Don't. They make good sandwiches. Today I got the Chicken Vodka Parm, which is a chicken parm sandwich, but with vodka sauce instead of marinara. And it was super good. Not only was the chicken tender, and bountiful, but the sauce was flavorful. Also, the bread was nice and soft. Granted, it was a bit messy, but they gave me plenty of napkins, so we're all good. I also got fries, which were the skinny kind. They were not super crispy, which was okay, since they were also flavorful. And, again, bountiful. In fact, because the sandwich was so big, I don't know that I needed the fries. As for the place itself, it's small, small, and only has a couple tables inside, and even fewer outside. But most people seemed to getting their sandwiches to go, so I had no trouble finding a seat. Also, the staff are friendly, and the food came out within a reasonable amount of time. That said, all of the parking nearby is metered, save for the super small parking lot out front, where I've never ever seen an open spot. My point being that because the sandwiches are made fresh, you need to make sure you put extra money in the meter. I thought a quarter would be fine, and it wasn't. That's a tip from your Uncle Paul. I gotta bump this review up a star. After visiting Uncle Paulie's several more times, I continue to get more impressed and more inspired to come back to try more items on the menu. And yes, the menu is pretty extensive so check out the menu before coming in or check out the sandwiches I have tried. Bacon Egg and Cheese: These are a dressed up version of the East Coast cousins you get at bodegas (oh i wish we had them here.) For $12, you get smoked bacon, cheese and the eggs that are super fluffy in a poppy seed bun. I add a hash brown to it because why the heck not? Super filling and I am pretty much done for the rest of the day after eating this. 8/10 Sausage, Egg and Cheese: the sausage patty is solid and tasty. I have had it with a fried egg instead of the scrambled and i must admit, i like the fluffy scrambled egg over the runny yolk. 7.5/10 Uncle Ronny: That English muffin is hefty and solid and with the hash brown, you are basically have a full breakfast plate on the go. 8/10 Gina: mortadella, pistachio spread onion and arugula. Co-worker asked for something that was light and refreshing and was recommended this. It was lacking something and was more bread ratio to the sandwich filling. 5/10 The Franny: This is pretty unique. Fried eggplant, cheese and broccoli rabe. never had broccoli rabe and it is a cruciferous leafy veggie that is a tinge bitter. I feel healthy eating it and would get this if i am wanting a salad but not want a salad, if you feel me. 7.5/10 The Bodega and The Carly: 8/10 Italian, Cousin Bobby, Linda: 9/10 Chicken parm and Eggplant parm: 9/10 Meatball parm: 10/10!!
