We decided to go back and try out Rafferty's again after the great dinner experience we had previously. We were not disappointed with the great service from Austin C and could see him leading the way in Athens, Ga. My better half tried out the catch of the day Mahi-Mahi and it was delicious. She loved the baked sweet potato. I had to give the ribs and hand cut fries a try and they were delicious. The welcoming atmosphere from the staff helped to set the tone for a great dinning experience.

If you are looking for the best salad ever to accompany your meal then you have found the perfect place. Although their salads are fantastic, it is the hot bacon dressing that puts it over the top! Fish was a little dry and steak was slight;y over cooked which was disappointing. Otherwise service was good. Still one of my favorite places to eat lunch or dinner.

A friend brought some food from Rafferty's on a picnic we did recently, and I was fairly impressed with their food. Enough so that we went there recently to share dinner. We ate family style and very much enjoyed the meal, ordering some chicken tenders, BBQ, a couple of sides and some sandwiches. Everything we tried was tasty. Service was fast and friendly and the prices were. Reasonable. I'd come back for sure!

This place brings back memories of when I was in College and lack in Knoxville. The food is was good but not as I remembered it. The drinks though- worth every zip! The server was awesome and the food was timely. Worth the stop. Being a Friday it's was busy but the wait was not bad. Come and swing by for some casual dining and good (large) drinks!

We had the best service from Colton on our visit. He was so incredibly helpful, engaging and kind! Thank you for making our visit sweet!! I had the bbq burger with loaded mashed potatoes, the food was pretty good, I enjoyed the mashed potatoEd and the burger was cooked perfectly.

The food here? Nothing special. I asked the waiter if the Kona chicken was good, he said he never tried it, but that people who order it tend to like it. I'm sure they were saying that go be nice... it was frankly just alright. It's ham and cheese with a pineapple ring on chicken. Pineapple ring was good! Even the sweet potato side with cinnamon butter was just okay. I kinda wanted it to be sweeter! What I liked about this place was the service, everyone here was very friendly! I needed to charge my phone while I was there and when I asked for a table near an outlet they were able to provide me with one. It was in a high traffic area however, so it kept getting knocked out of the wall- but the waitstaff would walk by and plug it back in! Very nice of them. Without it, I wouldn't have been able to get back to where I was staying in Nashville. I was there for a while catching up with my friend, and I never felt rushed to leave. I also liked the ambiance, it was a great place to meet a friend I hadn't seen in a while! Kinda dark, restaurant was separated into different sections so there was a sense of privacy, and clean bathrooms. There was also a big parking lot, but it was pretty busy! I probably wouldn't go back, but I enjoyed the time spent here.

Was served Cole slaw so rancid it was bubbling. Manager offered no replacement side, only took $3 off my tab.

I like the appetizers and the cheap beers. The rest of the food is nothing more than what you would find at an Applebees or O'Charleys.

100% would recommend this restaurant!!!!…read more we arrived right at 5pm when they open back up for the day. firstly the atmosphere and customer service is top tier. everyone is super attentive and welcoming. we started off with mixed drinks, with a very wide selection, each drink we tried was perfectly mixed and balanced. we definitely would recommend the french martini and vette city. as for appetizers, we tried the fried pickles and jalapeños. the batter was light but crunchy and flavorful and the house made ranch paired perfectly with them. main courses i would 1000% recommend the chicken rosa. such a delicious dish with a creamy mash potatoes side and perfectly seasoned and sautéed fresh vegetable side. the lemon caper sauce paired with the chicken was stunning. chicken was cooked perfectly and still very juicy. the basil pasta dish was al dente with a rich, herby, and creamy sauce. the crème brûlée was the most delicious dessert to end the meal with a perfectly crunchy sugar top not too charred and the crème part was flavored very nicely with a good vanilla taste. 5/5 WOULD RECOMMEND

It a hard balance when for some. The atmosphere was modern chic with farm house feel. The pour on my wine was subpar along with my dinner portion of salmon. For these reasons, I can't give them a four star or better review.

This Classy Venue, Sets A New Tone.. Pleasantly Kicked Out of Our Comfort Zone:…read more What a Gorgeous Night to be out & about, with Beau, on the night before the Full Moon, during Derby Week, in Bowling Green. We'd never been here before, thus, we were new to this scene! Even stepping in seemed an experience, following behind two ladies, donned in Derby Hats, & their two dapper gentlemen, who smiled, held open the door, & graciously waved us in!! Then, at a long table we happily joined, our extended, car fanatic family. Thus, the festivities began, as our evening flowed pleasantly.. What We Found : Service: Friendly & Attentive.. Our iced tea was refilled & our tables kept clean. And our server, steered us in the right direction, in recommending the Surf & Turf dinner, which was Delightful.. Ambiance: Lofty & Modern Aesthetic, with Rustic Elements. (But still too modern, for our liking). Nearby, seemed a nicer table: with a wooden tent like canopy, situated near a great hearth.. Food: Generous portions of entrees & sides. The hearty sides, are served family style. We ordered: Bacon Cornbread; Mac & Cheese; Roasted Brussel Sprouts; Roasted Mushrooms; & Truffle Fries. These Tasted Divine... Especially the bacon cornbread, served with a dollop of brown butter, which disappeared in no time!! Whilst our Surf & Turf Dinner, of: Shrimp & Beef, served on skewers, atop a bed of Fried Rice, Kicked Us Out of Our Comfort Zone. This was quite unlike the country cuisine of Bowling Green, for so long known!! And, the horseradish sauce, served alongside, seemed rich & robust!! Indeed, the menu seemed to convey the chef's creative touch!! However, our friend beside us, bemoaned that his elk steak dinner, was mostly burnt!! To the staff, not saying a word!! Moreover, Beau found his Strawberry Shortcake, a tad too dry. But from Beau's pretty dessert, to the Almond Cake, ordered at the table--all seemed a pastry feast for the eyes!! Overall: We Found This Classy Venue, A Welcome Change From The Familiar..Hearty Southern Fare, Fine Tuned With A Touch Of The Exotic!! So Happy To Say: We Loved It !!

I wanted to order one of the bar stool specials and was told that I absolutely could not order it while sitting in the dining room. I understand restaurants have policies, but refusing to serve an item that you are actively serving elsewhere in the same restaurant simply because I was sitting in the dining room felt unnecessarily rigid--especially when we were there celebrating a special occasion. Rather than order something I didn't want, I ended up having mac and cheese as my entire meal. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience did nothing to make up for it. Our water was never cold, the carrots and potato salad were both disappointing, and the food took far too long to arrive. For a restaurant that presents itself as a nicer dining experience, I expected much better food, service, and hospitality. Instead, my wife's birthday dinner was memorable for all the wrong reasons. I left frustrated, disappointed, and feeling like we spent our money at the wrong place. We won't be returning.

We came back to Lisa's Fifth Street Diner, and I'm happy to report our first visit wasn't a fluke!…read moreIf you're looking for good old-fashioned diner food with portions that make you wonder if they're trying to feed you for the rest of the day, this is the place. This time we put both breakfast and lunch to the test. The breakfast came loaded with eggs, crispy hash browns, a serious pile of bacon, biscuits and gravy, plus a blueberry pancake that practically needed its own ZIP code. The biscuits were fluffy, the gravy was creamy and peppered just right, and they definitely weren't stingy with the bacon. We also tried the fried fish with mashed potatoes, baked beans and coleslaw. The fish came out golden and crispy, and the sides were exactly what you'd hope for from a hometown diner simple, hearty comfort food. And here's a little insider tip worth knowing: Fridays are dessert day! If the banana pudding is available, GET IT. Seriously. It is absolutely amazing and worth saving a little room for which is easier said than done with these portions! One thing worth knowing before you go: come hungry! The portions are generous, and this isn't one of those places where you leave wondering what you're going to eat afterward. Just as important as the food, the atmosphere still has that friendly, small-town diner feel we enjoyed the first time. Good food, good portions, friendly people, and no need to dress fancy, just bring an appetite. Our original 5-star review still stands. We'll definitely be back... although next time I may need to fast beforehand!
