I have to give this restaurant 1 star because there are only a few friendly employees there. Firstly, John Renfrow is hilarious and friendly. He cracked the last joke that made me actually laugh. (The GM) Shout out to Troy and Kylee for being so supportive. Casey should stop being so abrupt with new people. You don't have to be loud or mean in order to get your point across. Sarah is always asking someone to do a job while she is texting on her phone. She should set a better example. Shannon is the best person in the building. She has compassion for the employees she oversees. Ultimately, my experience at Rafferty's stressed me out and gave me more anxiety than I've had in years. I ordered a St Croix rum punch and it tasted like the fruit was bad, terrible. I ordered the ribeye marinated in pineapple and soy medium rare. I got medium well and my French fries tasted burnt. They offered to remake it and I said please just give me the unmarinated one. I tried eating my Cesar salad again but the dressing wasn't Cesar and it had some piece of sweet fruit in it. My plate came back again, this time the steak was rare and very chewy. The French fries were still nasty. The only thing I could eat was the fried mushrooms and the one piece of bread I got. And the horseradish sauce was so strong that every time I ate it my nostrils got cleared out. We asked for ranch dressing instead and that was just blah. The staff were very nice but the chef was horrible. I've eaten there before and really enjoyed my meal, a few years back. Most disappointing dinner. Food was fantastic. Haven't had prime rib in years. Ordered it tonight and it was heavenly with the horsey sauce. My son had the Buffalo Mac n cheese. He is a Mac and cheese aficionado and LOVED it! Our server was Allyson K. Absolutely the sweetest. Attentive, fun and sweet. Ken's came and asked us how our dinner was. I thought he was the manager. He said it was his 4th day. Wow! Stopped here this evening for dinner once arriving in BG. The place is a more upscale bar-staurant with a variety of meals, drinks and seating areas. Buds ordered a couple of tall boy beers and food. ATMOSPHERE: The place is clean, staff is friendly, and the seating is vast- from a bar scene to family seats. It definitely offers an upscale feel but still holding true to a steakhouse with a down home atmosphere. GRADE 5/5 FOOD: I ordered a sirloin with bleu butter, a sweet potato, and a salad. The salad was a little runny, steak was a little on the dry side, but it was a great meal overall. I also enjoy the addition of a small croissant to the salad. Haven't seen that before but appreciate it. GRADE 4/5 SERVICE: Our waiter was Tyrone- great guy and very accommodating, easy to talk to ", friendly, and quick to help. Appetizer came out fast, salads came out right after, and food shortly after. He also got us going when we order a couple "LIT"s or Long Islands- lord have mercy. Not impressed! We went here a year ago and loved it but on Wednesday we went for my birthday and it was a unfriendly atmosphere, food was eh, and I felt like it looked unkempt! I had the cajun salmon and much to my surprise, it was acctually good (remember, it's a chain restaurant). I did have the center salad and found it to be a bit salty. I would simply not recommend this place. I never write reviews but could not pass this one up. Service was non existent from the start. We had to clean our own table and get our own menus and silverware. Questioned leaving after that but decided to still give it a chance (first mistake). Ordered the soup of the day and it contained raw sausage. After changing soups, the new plate and spoon were completely unwashed and spotty, still containing pieces of dried on food and lipstick! Really disappointed in this location. We stopped for lunch yesterday 9/21/19 and the service, Jeffery, was horrible. We ordered two salads and soup. After about 30 minutes after we placed our orders, I asked him to check on it because other people who came in after us was already eating. He said the kitchen forgot our order and not sure what happened but they were working on our order. He just forgot to put our order in. The salads and soup was very good. After reading positive reviews on yelp, We ate dinner there on the 21st, after returning exhausted from viewing the eclipse. My wife ordered the chicken breast BBQ, she said the sauce tasted funny. I had a taste and thought it tasted bad as well. I ordered the rib chicken combo, and the ribs were dry and burnt. My daughter ordered a the lemon cocktail in a mason jar(don't remember the name), she drank it and then saw a label on one of the lemon slices. We also ordered the banana cream pie which tasted great, but was half frozen. We brought these issues up to our server who got the manager. We explained and showed her the issues we had with our experience. She looked like she was going to cry. She said the lemons were washed, and the cook took the wrong pie. She asked if we lived in the area. We said we didn't. She said that was too bad, since she could offer us a discount on a future visit. She said she was sorry. I went with a group of ppl today to celebrate my brother's birthday. He's special needs and so is his girlfriend who is wheel chair bound. She accompanied us also for the celebration. We were a group of 10 and understood that we would have to wait an hour and be seated at separate tables. When I approached the host after our hour was up he directed me to another host that directed our group to 3 different tables. We didn't complain, but when the two managers, Mike and Teresa, so rudely barked at us about the table we were sitting down at that's when the problem occurred! The host told us to go "down" to a table but never said which one. Also we were trying to position my brother's girlfriend in a good spot for her wheelchair. Mike rudely told her assistant that he did tell them to sit at the table they sat at. After that Teresa comes up and start "lou​d talking" at us that we'll have to go back to the lobby! We saw this restaurant on yelp and it was close to our hotel so we decided to try it. We are from central California and didn't know what type of service to expect. We were seated right away and before we even had a chance to pull out our IPhone Leah was there to assist us. She took our drink order and we received them right away. We ordered a soup and salad and a ribeye for dinner. Both our meals were tasty.. Leah kept my ice tea filled without having to ask her. The only complaint I had was the croissants. I am supposed to control the bread we eat and ended up eating quite a few. These were the best croissants we ever ate! The cactus chili was nothing more than tasteless vegetable soup with white beans. The potato soup was ok, but nothing special. I'm still looking for the bacon and the cheese! I was in Bowling Green for business when my vendor took me out for lunch and we ended up at Rafferty's Restaurant and Bar. The place is pretty big and when got here very popular. It has a nice home feel to it. We were lucky and didn't have to wait and found a spot right away. Menu here is more or less your basic bar foods with lot of sandwiches and meats to choose from. Prices here are reasonable, you're looking between $8 - $12 for most items. My vendor ordered a prime rib sandwich and I got the BBQ Chicken Sandwich and Salad. The waitress I could tell was very busy but friendly. I got my salad and though I was impressed with it's size (probably the size of most dinner salad's) she made a mistake, it came with dressing when I asked for it on the side. I didn't want to make a stink over it, so I ate it. Besides having too much dressing for my tastes, the salad was quite good. After the salad the sandwiches came out. Holy mounds of meat. I must have had a half of chicken on my sandwich. The thing was STACKED. Taste wise, very good. Nice juicy and tender. The BBQ sauce was definitely good. There was no way I could eat the whole thing, I ended up taking half with me for the plane trip home later that evening. My vendor's sandwich, he got what must have been a inch thick slice of prime rib, these guys don't mess around. From the sounds my vendor was making, he enjoyed his meal a lot. Overall, probably a 4 star place. Food was good but the waitress was just a bit rude and having salad dressing on my salad when I asked for it on the side gets them knocked down 1 star. Our Bartender was Great! She was very Friendly and took Excellent care of us. It didn't just stop with our bartender. The manager and other staff members also assisted in ensuring we had a great dining experience as well. The food came out quickly and cooked perfectly! I used to love going to this place and found my favorite the Ultimate club. I live by myself so i always do takeout. This last time I was left with LONG pieces of hair in my sandwich. I was disgusted because I had ate half of the other sandwich. I took the food back to the store and the manager only offered a new sandwich at the time and a free sandwich for next time. I was still disgusted at the time and only wanted my money back, but he said he could not do that. I do not feel confident of their cleanliness after this mishap. Although the restaurant was packed when me and my sister walked in, we didn't have to wait long to be seated. We ordered two steaks and it was very good, well-seasoned and not over-cooked. The sides were delicious as well, I especially loved the baked potato & coleslaw, although the fries were a bit underwhelming because they weren't crunchy and a bit dark outside. At curbside pick-up, I asked, at least twice, if all three orders were in the bags and was assured every time they were all in there. Then when we finally get our food, which was less stellar than usual, what I assume was a manager, Sara(h?)l, sits 2 seats down and proceeds to yell across the bar at her workers. I understand the points she was making but as a manager you shouldn't yell across the bar reprimanding your workers, get up and go over to them.
