The cherry on top to an awful week for my family. If I could leave zero stars I wpuldI urge you not to deal with the Manager Eric Schafroth. And if possible to visit another location if not another restaurant entirely. We went there on a Friday for a late Father's Day meal. I picked because my father likes this. It was a long wait but we are used to this there. Our waiter was subpar. She brought out roll after roll basket as those are quickly made. But when we ordered fried pickles they never came. We explained we didn't want them anymore because we waited too long. And then our food was almost there. We asked that it not come and be taken off our bill. She never said sorry and just agreed to. They brought the pickles anyway halfway through our meal and we said no. They gave them anyway and said it was free so we took it. Then my grandmothers steak was not well as ordered and it was rare/pink. We sent it back because she couldn't eat it. Understandable. Then the manager, Eric, brought it out. He practically threw it at her and said here. My grandma looked conflicted almost didn't want to eat it because it had been so long and we all finished eating. So she said that. And asked please for a box. She took it and he started by saying he was waiting 4 minutes back there for it and we all noticed his attitude. She never speaks or gets upset usually. Never at all. But when this really upset her she had to say something. She responded upset, and said it was much longer. It had been. Then the waitress came by and we asked for it off of our bill. She said she'd get the manager again. Eric. So when he came back, we explained that we wanted the steak took off. He said he'd checked and it actually took nine minutes. So he was a liar. Then Eric said we could either take the steak home and pay for it or he could take it off our bill, but we couldn't take it home. Why couldn't we take it home? It was their screw up and if they took it off the bill what would they do with it? Trash it? Waste it? Probably. So we were very upset then. Pissed. He was giving us a lot of attitude and being very rude. We said someone was being rude and he said who? Uhm. You! It was you Eric! Then he said me? I'm just giving right back what I've been given. Treating you how I'm being treated. You NEVER do that in customer service. Whether the customer is awful or not. And we were not being mean. We had been very patient and asked nicely. We explained our issues. He was very rude and the one who did it all. We were just upset customers with a bad experience. My brother said respectfully that's my grandmother and you were very rude to her. Disrespectful. She was just upset with the circumstance's. My dad chimed in a few times. Then Eric said well then we're gonna take this off your bill and then leave. He said then leave almost like get out of my store. So we said fine we'll leave. We don't want to be here any longer. When my parents went to pay they took off the pickles but not the steak. After they took the steak from my grandma and said she couldn't take it home. What a jerk. It was very unprofessional and never have I ever had an experience like this. We had to end up paying for the steak. I've worked a front desk before and my family has worked with customers. No matter how upset someone is, you must smile and be nice back. You hope that they will calm down and apologize or eventually leave. But you know at the end of the day that you did all you could do and you were nice. Because if you would've spoken out you would've escalated the situation with the customer. No one should ever act the way he did. It's not the first issue we've had with the Florence location. They have messed up our food many times before. We have received free meal coupons before because they brought out the wrong food or missed items. Most of the servers had been alright if not wonderful so it is a management and kitchen problem. All in all, it was a bad experience and we will NEVER be back to the Florence location, possibly any other location. My heart truly goes out to any of the good servers who work under him. And every other server/manager at a restaurant who is exemplary. I'm so sorry one guy like that has to make everyone in your industry look bad. We have had many good experiences among many other restaurant chains. We will definitely be looking for a new place with rolls to eat at. read more

Maybe I don't get it? There is a lot of love for Texas Roadhouse and certainly, my brother and his family seem to go often. This was my first time and I wasn't impressed. We came in the late afternoon so were seated immediately. I hear that it gets very busy in the evenings with frequent waits for a table. Again - I don't get it. The much-lauded rolls and butter were really disappointing. I see endless reels about how amazing these are and I found the rolls dry and chewy and the cinnamon butter much too sweet and not a good pairing with the unappealing bread. They do offer an "early dine" menu that is a great deal, especially if you're feeding a family - a bunch of different entrees with sides are $12.99 from 3-5 pm Monday through Thursday. My mom had the BBQ chicken off this menu. It looked fine - nothing special. My brother ordered something called "Roadkill" and it truly looked like its namesake. Of course, he insists on getting his steak well done, but this dish looked deeply unappetizing. I had a cheeseburger and fries. For some inexplicable reason, they covered the fries in a layer of cheese. That definitely isn't something I asked for. Regardless, I found the fries inedible with or without the cheese. The burger was OK. The server seemed genuinely confused when I asked for it "medium rare" so I guess specifying a temp for burgers may not be a thing there. To be clear, I'm not one of those "big city snobs" who hates chain restaurants. I actually really enjoy them. But this was not a good meal and I truly fail to see what the hype is about. read more

Me and my family come here somewhere often so honestly, they should really know that I hate napkins and only will use lacrosse and they should have known by now after a crap ton of times of coming here that they shouldn't have a napkin under my mashed potatoes, but apparently they still put it under there. I want to give this place a good rating for those addicting dinner rolls but after this last subpar dining experience, I've lost my patience for it. It doesn't matter what time or day you go, there's always a crowd even on waitlist. The building is too cramped and busy for there to be so many people running around, I always feel like someone's over top of me when I'm eating my food. It's either too hot from the heat lamps over top the table or too cold if they sit you near a spot that catches a draft. This last visit was the worst one yet and it was during a weekday for a loved one's birthday which makes it even more embarrassing to experience service like this. This time they put us somewhere close to the kitchen to watch the endless plates of food sit under a heat lamp untouched for a good 20 minutes. The food was hard as a brick, a ribeye meant for someone elderly was ordered medium well but arrived well done and our server was nowhere to be found to get another one. Whoever the server actually was is still a mystery to me, we had 3 come by. Another family member ordered a basic hamburger and they couldn't even get that right, the buns were so hard that I could tap it against the plate and hear a sound. Fries were lukewarm but closer to cold than anything else and barely seasoned. When this was addressed to a random server since ours was nowhere to be found, we were told "oh sorry about that" and nothing else was done. No dessert was offered in this visit or the 2 other visits I've been here for despite it being my loved one's birthday. We had to ask for refills on drinks and bread. A busser stood by watching us out of the corner of his eye and we felt pressured to hurry up and pay on that tablet processor they have at every table. I'm not even sure my rewards account was credited. I tried to speak to management about this but they were ushering people through the walkway out the door because of a line of at least 100 people standing around waiting for a table. This is not at all a comfortable dining experience but as long as this continues to be the busiest restaurant in the area they have no incentive to do better. read more

It was a great and enjoyable environment. I would have given five stars, but there was one issue. The bill was $85. If this is the best they can cook a steak, I will never return. They brought me a gray steak on the well side of medium. And it was as thin as a breakfast steak from Waffle House. My family needed a spot to gather, and Texas Roadhouse was great for this. We were able to get a reservation, and wow, even for a Saturday afternoon, we needed it. This place was packed. Also important to note: Your whole party needs to be present to be seated. We were able to get a couple of booths that were across from each other, and our server was quick to bring drinks and food. I ordered the Chicken Critter Salad, which was a decent lunch with hot, crispy chicken on a salad. And best of all: those rolls. I could just live on those! It was a pleasant surprise to experience cleanliness, excellent service and delicious food at this restaurant because it's a hit or miss in our hometown in TN. The restaurant was very clean including the laminated menus, which oftentimes are sticky at other locations. The soft bread and cinnamon butter was so awful that we ate it all. LOL. We had country fried chicken, baked potato, country veggie plate and a tropical breeze mocktail. Not a crumb left on our plate and the mocktail was nice and refreshing. This is another one of our family favorites- always great food and great service! The location is nicely decorated in the Texas Roadhouse theme with local flavors. This was our first time to a Texas Roadhouse. Upon walking in, we checked in with the hostes. We were told that a party of 2 would be a 15-minute wait. We gave her out number and about 10 min later we were called. We had the lovely Vee. She kept our drinks flowing, and she made recommendations to the menu. We told her this was our first time eating here and where we live. We do not have a Texas Roadhouse. We live in Hawaii vacationing in Kentucky/Ohio. We went to the Ark Experience. I highly recommend this museum. Anyways my husband ordered steak and shrimp, and I ordered a full rack of rubs. The ribs were tasty. It I wish I had extra BBQ sauce to dip my ribs in. So tonight we went to Texas Roadhouse Florence location, they weren't busy, but the workers were plenty. The steak was cooked to specifications, but was so salty I couldn't eat it. My husband and I ended up switching meals because he likes salty food. I felt I had to gulp down my salad because the entrees were done, but the table wasn't big enough. I had to ask for a fork 3 times before I got 1. I had to ask for water 3 times before I got a refill.( Which was because the food was so salty). The waitress and manager both stopped by the table for literally a split second to ask how everything was. Both times I was either drinking water or was chewing something, neither waited for my answer. The last time we were there they had to recook our steaks 3 times. This was the last chance we were going there if the issues hadn't been fixed. Well we do not plan a return visit. read more

Wow what a great experience we just had at Texas Roadhouse. Our waiter was Mike and he was fabulous from start to finish. Very engaging and funny. He recommended the beef tips and boy was he right!!! They were absolutely delicious. The manager Eric stopped by to check on us as well. You could tell he cared about the experience of his customers. The food came out quickly and the presentation was beautiful. The steak was tender and made exactly how we wanted it. I will without a doubt return to this Texas Roadhouse in Florence, KY. The food is good, but many of the staff are poorly trained and seem disinterested in their job. This is my third trip and I come mainly because of the salad bar. I had to ask a random server to bring me utensils and the unsweetened tea I ordered arrived sweetened. My last visit here took 45 minutes to get our food. During our visit we were able to look at the dirty bare feet of two women in a booth across from us. No manager appeared anywhere on the floor during any of my visits. Now that this location has had 6 months to age I think it's time to update! Some went tonight to celebrate my daughter's 4.0 report card. First off service was spot on fantastic!!
