When one door closes another one opens. The new Boca Brasserie is a rebrand from James Beard award wining Chef Pushkar Marathe's Stage. I was a big fan of Stage, so I couldn't wait for this to open. I tried to get a reservation for Saturday night and they were booked solid, so that's a good sign, considering it's the slowest week of the year for restaurants. I was able to get in on Sunday and was excited to see the new concept. Same great atmosphere and same great staff. The new menu features American comfort food classics with home-made pastas, steaks, flatbreads, and lower prices points. Some popular items like the Tuna Bombs are still available as well as the burgers, which were my favorites from Stage. The only thing missing which I really hoped would have been included, was the Chicken Masala. There are so many good additions to the menu, it will keep me coming back. Started with the Mussels - the sauce they were steamed in had hints of fennel, pernod, and white wine. Came with crispy hot bread that was perfect for dipping. Mediterranean Salad - cucumber, cherry tomatoes, feta, smoked olives, hat sat on top of a delicious creamy yogurt sauce. The tomatoes were flavorful and the feta made the dish special. New York Strip - This was the star of the evening. 12 ounces of a deep, robust beef flavor, cooked perfectly to get that rich exterior crust, and every bite was tender and overly satisfying. With season coming, I expect this place to be a hit. There's so much more on the menu i can't wait to try. The Spicy Rigatoni and the Prime Rib are on the top of the list.

The ambiance here is nice and very much giving grown and definitely great for adults who are looking for a nice dinner night out. The service here was immaculate and the bar area was very nice with a raw bar where they chuck oysters in front of you. They also have indoor and outdoor seating it's a very open and inviting as soon as you walk in. And the food was fresh and delicious and the Samoa sundae for dessert was by far the most delicious dessert. I wouldn't definitely come back soon. The steak frites was so fresh and cooked to perfection and I highly recommend the spicy rigatoni it's has a nice kick.

This is a beautiful restaurant with a delicious menu! Definitely make a reservation, and I highly recommend it for dinner. We started with the tuna bombs, easily a 10/10. We shared the steak frites (au poivre) and spicy rigatoni vodka. I would absolutely get the pasta again, it was probably one of the best spicy vodka sauces I've tried. The steak was just ok, but it was hangar steak, I'd try the filet next time. For dessert we had the sticky toffee date pudding and it was perfect! For drinks, I had the greenhouse cocktail, which I recommend if you love gin and cucumber, along with a glass of the Textbook Cab, which went great with the ste

We came here for our three year wedding anniversary and very excited to celebrate. Unfortunately our visit didn't go well. First there was a miscommunication who our server was and we had let the host stand know. Then a manager took our order but then the rest of the night no one checked in on us as it seemed a server was still not assigned. It took us finding different servers to get what we needed and even ordering our desserts. I got the waygu burger and it was ok as it felt very plain. The dessert made up for the night but unfortunately it was not a great experience due to lack of communication among the staff.

At the same location of the same chef-owned Stage, which was very good as well, comes this gem. It's been getting a lot of social media buzz, and did not disappoint. Nice modern and comfortable design with vacation-vibe pics on the wall and ambient house music. Friendly staff is abound and very welcoming. Enjoyed hot honey and pepperoni pizza, delicious wagyu burger with fries and the salmon dinner. The side of Parmesan garlic broccoli was really good! Chocolate soufflé for dessert was a nice ending. Solid service too - overall great experience.

Had the crab Louie salad a few days ago and it was very good. Love the menu. I was a fan of Stage but their menu wasn't the kind that I want to eat often. This menu is more interesting and I look forward to trying more items soon.

I've always loved Stage in Boca Raton, so I wasn't exactly thrilled when I heard they were closing the restaurant and changing the concept. Not completely crushing news, though... I can always head to the Stage location in Palm Beach when I need a fix of Chef Pushkar Marathe's amazing Indian chow. Well, the wait is over. Boca Brasserie opened tonight, and I was very excited to see what they've created. Happy to report... the place is great! The menu features a bunch of American brasserie classics, along with pastas, flatbreads, burgers... even Matzah Ball Soup. There's a nice selection of steaks for meat lovers, and I'm particularly interested in returning for the Prime Rib, served only on Friday and Saturday. I'm sure many Stage regulars will also be happy to see that they kept the wildly popular Tuna Bombs. The restaurant looks great... more booths, comfortable table spacing, the same terrific patio, and that fantastic bar. I grabbed a seat at the bar and immediately noticed the addition of Veuve Clicquot Champagne by the glass... even specially priced during Happy Hour. Looking over a new menu with a glass of VCP is one of my favorite things, so I was already primed for a great evening. I was particularly interested in trying Chef Marathe's take on French Onion Soup (9.5), and it turned out to be one of my favorite dishes of the night. The broth is rich and deeply flavorful, the cheese silky and abundant, and a crouton with delicious crispy edges. Great! The Prime Short Rib Pasta (9.5)... ragu, cavatelli, jus, herb gremolata, Parmesan... so safisfying. Worth a visit for this dish alone. The Meatball from the Happy Hour menu was very good (8.0). The regular menu portion includes three; Happy Hour gives you one... but they are large. The Hot Honey Pepperoni Flatbread (8.2) was another winner, perfectly cooked. I know people love this combo, but I'm not the biggest fan of honey on pizza, so next time I order this pie, I'll skip the honey. My guest loved it. Service was excellent. Sindy and Enrique behind the bar were terrific... friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. Stage was a tough act to follow, but Boca Brasserie has given me a whole new reason to come here. It's already my new favorite Restaurant Row spot... great chow, great libation, and a concept that feels like a winner. Can't wait to get back here on Fri or Sat so I can try the Prime Rib... and will report back. So many other things I also want to try. I expect this place to be a big hit. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Boca Brasserie replaced Stage Kitchen on restaurant row in Boca but by the same restaurant group. Actually they rebranded the restaurant to make it more American fare. We went during Happy Hour and had discounted drinks and oysters. All delicious! Julia was our waitress. She became very busy but really took her time to review the menu with us. Paul had the unbelievable Prime Rib. It was cooked to perfection. I had the salmon cooked with beans in a delicious broth with some spinach and other spices. I loved it and would definitely come back again for that. I also had the Israeli Couscous and the ZaAtar pita bread. We had Americana coffee to finish up. It was a lot of food but it was hard not to want to try as much a possible. Everything was enticing. The restaurant is elegant, modern and just beautiful. The bar sweeps across one side of the perimeter with TVs above. Lots of square tables packed in. Like most restaurants,it got very crowded and noisy. They are also part of the InKind application which allows you to save 20% on your check. There is self parking in the lot which is shared with the neighboring restaurants and valet as well. This was a lovely and fun place to frequent!

The restaurant is a little brighter than I recall Stage being; it was busier and louder too. The highlights of our meal were the chicken liver appetizer and mussels. The chicken livers were lightly mashed and served warm. The flavor with the carmelized onions was outstanding. The pasta with short ribs was oversauced. The broccoli was overseasoned or we just didn't like the seasoning. Our server was friendly and nice, but I'm not sure if the incompetence that made our meal less than ideal was hers or the kitchen's. We clearly indicated the order we wanted our food, but things came out willy-nilly. My friends pasta entree arrived after most of our meals were eaten and they forgot about her glass of wine. The burger came out first and not the way we ordered it. And iced tea refills had to be requested multiple times. For shared items, we had to request extra utensils, including spoons and fishforks.

There's also outdoor seating on the side of the restaurant. The restaurant is located right by the train station on Yamato Road - it would be convenient to order and take away for a train ride meal. I've driven by this place a hundred times, so my curiosity finally won. When we walked in, the dining room was almost empty, which surprised us since it was prime dinner time, but honestly it made the whole experience feel like our own private feast. The outdoor seating was a nice present from Mother Nature. The lighting was low, romantic, and inviting. The other patrons seem to be enjoying themselves immensely almost like they were celebrating something special of their own. Our server, Teagen, deserves his own shoutout. He was warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. He even told the manager it was my birthday, which led to a complimentary mint tea and a tray of pastries that felt like a little celebration all on its own. I've eaten Mediterranean food all over the world in my previous career, so hummus is a non negotiable for me. Theirs was smooth and flavorful. The signature mixed grill was the real star. Tons of variety, generous portions, and incredible value. Our entire meal came to about fifty dollars before tip, which felt like a steal. It was a magical end to an already spectacular day. Thank you to the team at Shish Grill for making a memory I'll carry with me for a long time.

The server took on the challenge and passionately assembled this pita with hummus, tahini, Israeli salad, baba ganoush, topped with schug. A to-go container of tahini to finish off this masterpiece. Absolutely phenomenal. The falafel was hydrating to go with this flavorful assembly. They are doing it right -- nothing else close in SoFlo.

Juicy, not the least bit dry, thinly sliced, marinated chicken kebab (notes of tangy za'atar) on a "platter" came with 2 warm, somewhat dry pita's and as many sides as you would like. Sides included white or red cabbage, hummus (on the thin side),well-balanced tahini, eggplant salad, spicy shug (Israeli, spicy salsa) and Israeli salad (cucumber, tomato, parsley and lemon). The platter was $28. Very tasty. Another enjoyable dish was a laffa (thin bread) warmed and slightly toasted with expertly prepared and seasoned falafel sandwiched in between all the sides mentioned above. There was so much going on that you'd think it would fall apart or mask the flavor of the falafel, but nope. The chickpea falafel really stood out and even provided a bit of unexpected crunch. The sandwich was huge, and undoubtedly shareable, but I managed to eat the whole thing. $17.99 2 canned drinks ($2.39 each) plus fries ($10.99?!) somehow came to just under $70 with tax and tip. We did not take our receipt (our bad) and after sitting down to write this review, I am perplexed how we got to that number. I peruse the online menu and see that the platter is $31.99 (or was it $20.99 in-house because one of the sides was hummus? Did we know we were adding extra?); the sandwich online says it is $14.99. I seem to recall it was the aforementioned price. I honestly don't know. I mention the prices because I realize (knowing in advance) that Chill & Grill is Glatt Kosher and for that reason prices are usually on the higher side (we accept this), however we left thinking, "Would we go back and spend $70 again in a dingy, unappealing shopping center in a place with zero, almost neglectful atmosphere and eat on uncomfortable metal chairs with our food served on styrofoam and drink out of dollar-store quality cups even if we really, really liked the food?" The answer unfortunately is no.

The restaurant itself is small, with a handful of tables inside. Ordering is done on a touchscreen kiosk, and if you're eating there, they'll bring your food to the table. There are three sauces to sample, although fair warning on the spicy sumac, which packs more of a punch than I expected. I stopped in for lunch and ordered the small Kubideh platter with half rice and half chopped salad. At $15, it was a decent amount of food for me. The Koobideh was the star of the meal, a succulent blend of ground beef and lamb cooked over an open flame that came out unbelievably tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. The decor is pretty simple, but I liked that the walls featured quotes from the Persian poet Rumi. One in particular felt especially fitting while waiting for lunch: "The heart is cooking a pot of food for you. Be patient until it is cooked."
