We stopped here after a 6 hour drive while passing through town and were very pleased! We came in around 12pm on a Saturday and they were busy, but we had no issues getting sat. Our server was very nice and helpful, even with having at least 5 or 6 other tables. I got the crusted French toast and my girlfriend ordered the pancakes, both of which were delicious. Even with a full restaurant, the wait for food wasn't long at all and my coffee was consistently filled for me. Not sure when I'll next be in the area, but I will definitely be stopping here again if I'm ever in town. read more

Best French toast I've ever had. Order it with the fruit cup, they make a homemade blue berry whip cream topping for the fruit. It's so delicious. I've also tried their breakfast burritos, they are a great value. The burritos are huge. Sometimes it can get pretty busy if you come on Saturday or Sunday morning. Went in for Breakfast. Friend wanted to go there instead of the usual place over on Slide. Used to go to Rain Cafe a lot but after similar experiences, doubt I stopped going. Had the Chicken Fried Chicken with eggs. Chicken wasn't cooked all the way through. Ordered eggs over easy. Came out "snotty" and raw. The Chicken was raw as well. Rubbery. They have updated the place since the last visit which is a plus. I will not go back as anyone that allows raw chicken to go out of the kitchen hasn't got good food safety procedures in place. read more

We're transplants into Texas (Dallas) and wanted to take a spontaneous Texas road trip outside of the big city, for small town features and flavor and no chains. We found this little cafe, and saw all the stars, but were a little suspect when we drove up to the humble establishment. We were not disappointed. If you want excellent flavor that is championed by a kitchen staff that hustles and servers that keep it together with a smile and great attitude, check this place out. Wow! I can tell you that for the first time I had sex today. This place was absolutely amazing. Great service and the food...the food my guy. It was one of the best if not the BEST brunch place I've ever had. I had the philly steak omelet and a pancake. There was absolutely nothing on the plate after I tried it. Even ate the damn toast and I don't eat toast. I promise I was not hungover or drunk. It's just hands down one of the best quality brunch places I've been to. Everything just tasted so fresh. The best surprise was the fried zucchini which is not your average frozen fare. It is fresh zucchini & yellow squash very lightly breaded if at all & flash fried. My bf didn't have quite as good of an experience as his chopped steak ordered well done was pretty pink in spots. To their credit they apologized profusely & voided the charge from our ticket. This great locally owned breakfast and lunch place just moved to the top of my list for weekend breakfast with the family. My kids had the pancakes and Crusted French Toast. They both were awesome. The crusted French toast was REALLY GOOD! I might get it next time. My wife had the chicken fried chicken and I had the chicken fried steak. Both were served with great portion of eggs and hashbrowns. The service was awesome and super friendly. Their fresh squeezed orange was amazing but a little pricey.
