If I could give 0 stars I would. Ordered egg roll, crab Rangoons, dumplings, miso soup, egg drop soup, & combo fried rice. Rainbow has never been GOOD but tonight was absolutely horrible. Order Was 90 minutes late. Egg roll and Rangoon's were obviously soggy. Everything was luke warm, at best. Soups even had no flavor. Nothing had flavor. I think they gave us an extra crappy orange chicken as an apology? But it was crappy. Not ordering again. Reply: We order from you because we normally order some type of fried rice and just add spices to it and it's fine. It's not bad, just not great. The added spices can curb a craving for Chinese food. I normally love your crab ragoons and egg rolls, boyfriend loves your dumplings. We ate the food that night because we ordered food at 715pm after just arriving home from a week long vacation. We were exhausted, didn't have any food at home, and we're hungry at 715. Your delivery normally takes 40-45 if that, our food arrived at around 9:15. So we ate it because we were STARVING. If you're running slow, maybe let customers know beforehand. I tried called your restaurant first, but for some reason it wouldn't go through. Grubhub also told me during my first phone call, around 8:45pm, that you had stated my food was "delivered 30 minutes ago". When grubhub called you is when you said you were running behind. I never asked for a full refund, I asked my sauces be refunded, which normally wouldn't have been an issue, but with everything else I was a little irritated. thank you for 10%. read more

I recently went back to Rainbow King just a few days after my initial visit to check out their lunch specials. The sushi deal is quite affordable at $9.95 for 2 rolls or $12.95 for 3 rolls with a side of soup or salad. While the selection was limited, I opted for the miso soup and decided to try the panda roll, california roll, and spicy tuna roll. We also got the shrimp tempura roll and spicy crab roll. The miso soup lacked the savory, umami with a hint of saltiness taste that you'd expect, so I didn't finish it. The sushi was decent for the price, but nothing extraordinary. The panda roll was interesting, however, I've noticed that this spot goes heavy on the cream cheese because that's mainly all I can taste in the rolls with cream cheese inside. The california and spicy tuna roll were both standard. The shrimp tempura roll was crispy and the lettuce inside was an interesting choice but refreshing addition. The spicy crab roll was flavorful, but overall, the experience was just average. Rainbow King is still an okay spot in my book, earning a solid 3.5/5. The lunch special is a good value, but the overall quality and selection leave a bit to be desired. It's a decent place if you're looking for an affordable sushi lunch, but don't expect anything too remarkable. read more

We eat sushi every weekend and this is by far the best we've had in years. The service was outstanding! Our server was patient, informative, polite and very friendly. He visited our table before our drinks ever got to the bottom and brought our food out extremely fast. The prices were very reasonable. Most special rolls will end up costing you around $13-$14 while here at Rainbow king they were only $10-$11 without compromising any quality. Overall, this is my new favorite sushi spot in bel-air. Just ordered delivery using the yelp app. Made some specific special requests for multiple dishes that we've ordered and every request was fulfilled completely. The delivery driver arrived ahead of the expected delivery time so the service was great! He was very polite. The food is absolutely delicious! They even custom made a sushi roll to order. I would consider myself a regular here. Whenever we are in the mood for sushi, we always pick Rainbow King. We do carry out and dine in once in a while. I'm always happy with the sushi and love that they have such a wide menu from Hibachi to Gyoza, Ramen, and entrees like orange chicken. Had dinner here last night with a party of seven people and all raved about the food and service. The Roll Boat was fantastic and prepared with attention to detail. Some had curry and teriyaki which was also delicious as were the seaweed salad and edamame. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and we will be back on a regular basis.
