Love the ambiance because of the jungle theme. A little dark but it was ok. The booth was spacious. Of all the food we ordered the nachos was my favorite. That was what I imagined a nacho would be like. The salad was good too but not the best but good enough. The pasta dish was like jambalaya except instead of rice it was noodles. It was a little bit spicy but good enough. They came to our table and took picture of us. $30 for one picture with picture frame or two for $50 or you can just buy the picture for $10 each. Service was pretty good.
First time here! I tried to make a reservation but it would let me on their site so I walked up and had a party of 9. I was told there was a party of 103 upstairs and there would be a 15 minute wait. Our safari guide(waitress) Lisa was a 10! She was patient sweet and excellent waitress! The food was good no complaints.
I came here not long before closing and they were still so sweet and accommodating to my kids and I. The decor I mean nothing beats it - such an experience! From the little storms throughout dinner to just the overall vibe wow. I had thought the food would be just okay bc of how overdone the decor is honestly but I was pleasantly surprised. My steak and coconut shrimp were PERFECT. My mash was great. My espresso martini was great. Everything was phenomenal. Would def go back!
One of the few remaining Rainforest Cafes. Lot of fun memories as a kid, now passing those onto mine. The decor is definitely outdated but it still works and still brings the rainforest to life. Fun atmosphere for the kids. Staff were great, food is slightly on the salty side especially for the steak. Overall great experience and would highly recommend if you have kids!
Rainforest Cafe is one of my favorite family-style restaurants to visit. The atmosphere is so unique and lively with all the animatronics and thunderstorms. The servers were so friendly and attentive, but our experience was disturbed by a group of drunk youngsters who kept shouting, standing up, and walking around the dining area, which also disturbed the other diners and workers. The food was alright, but I think this was probably the blandest burger I've ever had in my entire life. Experience and service is 5/5, but the food is 1.5/5. Regardless, I'd still come back just for the experience!
First time at the Vegas location. We had reservation for 9 and it all went well especially for a Saturday night. We arrived early and they were able to seat us earlier. Everyone enjoyed their food and the service was good. Little weak on the volcano yell but it was a Father's Day celebration and not a birthday like the new set up of the volcano but still miss the real sparklers but obviously get that they need to be cautious. The food portions are still big and filling. Some of the animals are looking worn out. We had fun and the only down side is the parking it's sort of crazy to try to find the locator walking Through the mall then back outside and up the elevator back in a door and then to the restaurant area. There is a location on Harmon across the street as well but it's a hot walk in the heat.
We stopped here to give the kids the real Rainforest Cafe experience. With all the Cafe's near us closed we found our vegas trip to be the perfect opportunity to take the kids. Listen, you come here for the experience- the food is good, not spectacular, not bad by any means. The decor, ambiance and occasional thunderstorm are what make Rainforest Cafe the fun it is. I ordered the Bimini Chicken Sandwich, which I found really enjoyable although I wouldn't be mad at more Hot Honey on the sandwich. As for service, our server Danger Dom was great, he was attentive, clear and didn't miss any of our needs. He delivered fantastic service. When it came time for the bill the manager came and explained the automatic gratuity, which I appreciated because I'm sure a lot of out-of-towners could be surprised by it. For clarity, parties of 8 or more will have an 18% gratuity added to their bill. No big deal for us and perfectly reasonable. the dining room and restrooms were clean, food was good, service was excellent. If you have small children/toddlers I would give them a heads up of the "thunderstorms" that feature darkened lights, bright flashes and sounds of thunder and animals that could be surprising for them.
Grown daughters wanted to go because of nostalgia. It's still the same inside-if not a little tired looking. Food is mediocre at best. Had a stomachache all night afterwards. I had the Bimini Chicken:(Caribbean fried chicken, hot honey sauce, island rice, seasonal vegetables, coconut curry tropical slaw) Chicken was okay, slaw didn't have much flavor. I was told the drinks were good, I had soda. Would I go back? No. But fun for a one time reminiscing thing of when we had one in Downtown Disney. Service was fine.
Family and friends visiting in town. We went to a rainforest cafe based on a concert that some of the visitors were going to see "5 seconds of summer" aka 5 sauce at PH. It took so long to get our waitress we had to ask somebody to go fetch her. Fun place but not as lush as it was when it was at the MGM. The menu is great for visitors with a free glass to take home with you and refills for 10 bucks each that all pack a punch. I went with the bbq burger with fries that was not great but solid. Once our entrees were served by some kitchen staff, the waitress did not come back at that time to make sure everything was OK and if we needed anything else. Two of the five of us were already ready for a refill and it took about 10 - 15 minutes before she showed back up... Ultimately loss to the restaurant for alcohol sales because we would've had a third round if there was someone refilling drinks. We had a birthday celebration with the staff singing happy birthday. A step down from the old space but still a fun little spot. Once you finish, they give you a receipt and you go downstairs to get your actual to go glasses brand new without residue of alcohol or wetness. They officially are just outside of the miracle mile, but you can park in the miracle mile parking lot to get there just fine. And of course, if you have young ones, they will love everything that's going on. If it wasn't for the ambience, I would've given three out of five for the big gaps in service.
We came for Easter Monday dinner with my family and in-laws after a day of walking around the strip, Circus Circus (for the games and midway), NY NY, and the Excalibur. During our multiple excursions, I had mentioned to my wife and kids on Easter night that there was a Rainforest Cafe nearby. My older ones were too young to remember the Rainforest Cafe at Downtown Disney (which has since been closed for many years), so this was a treat for them. So, when I wasn't paying attention, she booked a reservation. She quickly hurried us up at the Excalibur to get back to our car at NY NY when she told us about our reservation. We made it to the restaurant with about 30 minutes to spare, so we did some shopping at their gift shop. There were animatronic figures downstairs and when we moved upstairs to the seating area, there were even more. It was great when the "sky" turned dark and the thunder clapped and the animals all came to life! My little one was amazed. We got seated, all 8 of us, and our "guide," Safari Steve, told me that with our large party there was an automatic 18% gratuity which I had no choice but to agree to. Steve, however, was just excellent! I forgot about the gratuity and just focused on his recommendations and interactions with my kids and family. It was close to closing time but he had the same enthusiasm as if it were opening. I asked if tonight was a slow night and he emphatically said that "every night is a busy night..." Our drinks got served quickly and we ordered the Awesome Appetizer Adventure appetizer sampler. The day's activities must've taken a toll because the whole platter was demolished in about 10 minutes, which was enough to get us settled (my little one was getting hangry (just like his mom, shhhhh)) until our main entrees arrived. My wife ordered the Chile Lime Salmon and Shrimp which, by both our account and Steve's, was their best dish. It really was good and I will order this next time. I got the Taste of the Islands which came with two types of shrimp, tilapia, rice and veggies. It was a good second choice, but the Salmon was better. I debated between it and the pork chops. Luckily, my father-in-law ordered the chops, so I got to sample it. It was good and flavorful, but a little dry. Even Steve warned me that chops tend to get dry, no matter who cooks it. My mother-in-law and stepdaughter both got the fish and chips. The portions were huge so both couldn't finish their plates. In retrospect, they would've gotten something else. (My mother-in-law really wanted the ribs, so guess she should've gone with her gut (pun intended)...). My oldest boy got the club sandwich which Steve thought might be too big for him. But, being the competitive 12 year old that he is, he devoured it (was this reverse psychology???). My other boys got the cheeseburger, delish as he said, and the fettuccine Alfredo (my middle son said he wanted 3 more plates it was that good!), respectively. It was a night of fun, good food, good company, family and a wonderful server/guide named Steve. Sure, it's Vegas and you're going to spend no matter what. But when my wife asked what was the best part of our Easter vacation, I had to admit, it was the Rainforest Cafe. And I'd admit it, over and over again...
We came here on Father's Day and we had a great experience! My parents have been wanting to take our 3 year old son to Rainforest cafe for a while so we decided that going last Sunday would be the best time to take him. We were immediately greeted by the friendly host who saw our son super excited to see all of the animals come to life. He immediately seated us near the elephants which our son loved so much. He was a little taken aback when the thunderstorm occurred but still enjoyed it. Our server was Ronnee and she was nice and attentive. She always came to our table frequently to check on us and fill our glasses. Our food came out hot and delicious. I do agree with the other yelp reviews that although the food is good... our intention was more for the experience since it was our son's first time here. One of the downfalls about the location of the restaurant (which it isn't the restaurant's fault) is that this place is on the second floor and confusing to get to. It's quite a walk from the parking garage at miracle mile shops, which parking is free for the first hour and then you're charged after that. When we walked through the mall and stepped outside to the strip, we found out the escalators to the restaurant were closed off and out of service. There was no access to an elevator either. My parents have bad knees so we had to find out how to get up to the second floor. It was not ADA friendly at all. Thankfully, we came across a very nice security guard who let us use the service elevator for my parents to get to the second floor with ease. Overall, we had a great time at Rainforest cafe. It was definitely nostalgic for me since I remember going to rainforest cafe when I was a kid. I was happy to share the same experience with our son.
I would give this place 3.5 stars if I could! The ambience is obviously 10/10, its fun inside, they have a great patio looking the strip. Service was good! Our server was super nice, and very attentive. The drinks did take exceptionally long but that was not his fault. Food overall was so/so. I think the food was extremely overpriced for what it was. It did not come out super hot. The chicken was dry, lack of sauce on the pasta. Nothing really blew us away. That being said, I know people arent necessarily coming here for amazing food it is more about the experience which is why I would give it 3.5 stars.
I really enjoyed eating at this Rainforest Café. The last Rainforest Café I ate at was the one in Disney World's Animal Kingdom. After my family and I visited the Arte Museum, my daughter saw the Rainforest Café in a shopping plaza across the street from the Aria. We were hungry for dinner and decided to go eat at the Rainforest Café, a few days before New Years Eve! The Rainforest Café is located in the Harmon Retail Center. It's right near Bubba Gump Shrimp and Cocolini. When my family and I asked if there was any availability for four, the team member at the front mentioned a 40 minute wait for a table. At first we were going to not go due to the wait, but we decided to put our name on the list and look at the stores nearby. I provided my cell phone for text messaging. We first decided to explore the gift shop inside the Rainforest. The atmosphere inside the retail village included themed merchandise and souvenirs. We ended up purchasing a few small toys while waiting. Luckily, after only 10 minutes, we received a text message stating that our table was ready! We were pleasantly surprised! The table seating is upstairs. It felt like you were transported into a tropical rainforest environment. There was verdant jungle foliage to animatronic animals with periodic simulated thunderstorms. It felt like an adventure dining here. There are unique features such as Tracy the Talking Tree, Nile the Crocodile, and more! We had a seat in the middle of the restaurant which was amazing since we were able to view the entire environment. The restaurant is beautiful! Looking over the menu, the menu had a lot of options from pastas, burgers, seafood, steaks, and salads. There are signature items like the Rasta Pasta which includes coconut shrimp. There is also a bar area on the first floor, the Lava Lounge, where you can enjoy themed cocktails. We decided to order the following Appetizer: Awesome Appetizer Adventure: Chimi Cha Chas, Spinach & Artichoke Dip, fried Wisconsin cheddar cheese curds, chicken strips Kids Menu: Safari Sirloin: Steak Tips, Safari Fries and Mashed Potatoes, Milk Entree: Amazon Fajitas: Grilled onions, bell peppers, sour cream, guacamole, lettuce, cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese, pico de gallo, Jasmine rice, black beans, flour tortillas Combo (Beef and Chicken) Tuki's Turkey Club: BLT, shaved turkey breast, Swiss cheese (No Mayo) For Dessert: Sparkling Volcano: chocolate brownie and chocolate cake stacked up high, served warm, with vanilla ice cream, whipped topping, chocolate and caramel sauces, candy rocks, cookie pieces, sprinkles While waiting for the appetizer, we had a chance to look at the restaurant. It was fairly busy with a lot of other customers. After waiting about 40 minutes, we asked our waiter what happened to the Appetizer. The order was put in wrong and the appetizer ended up coming out with the entrees. It worked out, but we were hungry for awhile! By the time the entrees arrived it was about an hour later. My husband and I split the Fajitas. I really enjoyed the chicken. It was tender, juicy, and flavorful. There was a side of rice, beans, and all of the ingredients needed to make an amazing wrap! The beef was just okay. It was a little tough. It was a perfect meal to split though! My daughter liked the Kids Sirloin steak, but there wasn't much to the meal. Luckily we had the appetizer that had chicken strips and other items that came out with the entrée! The Wisconsin cheddar cheese curds were my favorite. My mom enjoyed the Turkey club. After the entrees, the Sparkling Volcano sounded like a lot of fun and we decided to order that for dessert, sharing it! The chocolate brownie and chocolate cake was huge! There was a decoration that looked like sparklers in the middle of the cake! It was perfect to split with four members as there was two scoops of ice cream, two scoops of whipped cream, and the cake! It was delicious! I had an amazing time at this Rainforest café and the price wasn't too bad either! Local discounts are not accepted. Service here was good, though our order wasn't 100% accurate, the food was still great! This restaurant was a awesome experience!

This place was a huge part of my childhood, so I was really sad to see the SF location close down. I've always wanted my kids to experience it too, so we decided to stop by for lunch during our trip. Honestly, the prices were surprisingly affordable considering it's right in the middle of the Strip, and the food was actually pretty good. The kids menu was all under $10, and our steak, BBQ ribs, and fried shrimp combo was less than $40. My kids absolutely loved the interactive moving animals and the thunderstorm effects, definitely the highlight of the visit. That being said, the service wasn't the best. When we were first greeted, a young male server seated us near the front where there really wasn't much to look at. I asked if we could sit farther back near the moving animals and sky effects, but he insisted all the seats were the same. I ended up asking again to at least sit closer to the elephant and gorilla area. The entire time, he just seemed uninterested and clueless. I asked for extra dressing for my Asian salad, and he responded by asking what kind of dressing came with it. Overall, most of the servers seemed inattentive and avoided eye contact whenever we tried to flag someone down. The one exception was one lady who was absolutely wonderful and genuinely made our experience better. I wish I got her name. She was kind, attentive, and stood out from the rest of the staff. Honestly pretty expensive for the food you get. The atmosphere is really cool. There are animal animatronics on the walls/trees. Every 20 minutes there is a thunderstorm, which we were glad they warned us before it happened the first time. The neatest part was that they take you on a "safari" as you are seated. They have a neat jungle track playing, however it plays over regular music which is kind of weird. Someone came over to our table and took our picture. Afterwards, they came back and said we had a free "gift". She gave us two blank keychains and the photos she took. Then offered to have us but bigger photos. Which felt a little lame. We said no and still got to keep the keychains. We both ordered appetizers and they were okay. The lettuce wrap was super spicy, but also had a lot of great flavor. Really disappointed with our experience at Rainforest Cafe. The service was horrible and there were multiple mistakes with our food, which already made the meal frustrating. On top of that, my margarita came out watery and packed with ice, and when I asked about having it remade, the waitress refused. That was honestly the last straw. Between the bad service, food errors, and refusal to fix a drink that was clearly not made right, this visit was not worth it at all. Very disappointing visit from the moment we stepped in, no one was at the hostess station so we had to wait around for someone to return. When we finally got upstairs, the girl leading us to our table was sweet and cheerily gave us the "tour of the rainforest" but, when I asked if we could be seated near the elephants (completely empty section) her attitude did a 180 and she seemed agitated. She sat us near the elephants, but the table we wanted next to it remained empty the entire time we were there until right before we paid and left. The drinks were ok, our waiter (Oscar) seemed to be in a rush, rushing us though our order, only checked in on us once, only turned decently civil towards the end of the meal when it came time to fork over the bill and get his tip. The food was just ok, compared to the prices, I expected better quality. I gave an additional star because the lady downstairs in the shop was really sweet when we went to get our drink cup. We paid for an experience that was just underwhelming and lackluster, very disappointing as we were there celebrating our daughter's 21st birthday. read more

Went here today for my FREE $25.00 off Landry's Select Club, lunch. I ordered the Taco SaladW/chicken. It was good. The ambiance is exciting. Very fun place for children. We had to park in the Miracle Mile parking garage, then walked quite a bit. 1st hour is free, $18.00 each hour after that. We spent 5 minutes or more looking for a parking space, then walked 10 to get to the Rainforest Cafe. I highly suggest parking at the Westgate or Sahara (free) and taking the Monorail and get off at the planet Hollywood stop, and then walk over to the Rainforest Cafe. No waiting if you sit in the bar area, staff was very friendly. Service is very good. read more
My family and I are here on our trip to Vegas. This wait wasn't long. We got seated pretty quick. The atmosphere here is so fun! Kids will love it! They have lightning and thunder storms every so often which is fun. They have a big menu with tons of different food options. Everything we ordered we liked. They portions are big and filling. Went here with our party of 10 (as it's easy to make a reservation here), and it was a decent experience. For the strip, not particular expensive, but food is "you get what you pay for". I got the trio of ribs, steak, and coconut shrimp, and would not recommend it. The steak was very tough, despite being medium rare. Ribs were good, as were the coconut shrimp though. Service was fun-staff here are trained to be fun which is nice! Great place for children if they like the animal/rainforest experience, or for a large group with varied food tastes. read more
We came here for the nostalgia. Our local rainforest cafe closed years ago and we had to go again when in Vegas. The food was ok, as the menu is mostly geared towards children. The vibes were cool but it was a little too loud with both rainforest sounds and radio songs playing. The wait was long even though we made a reservation. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. Safari Steve was very nice and helpful. Thank you! We might come here again for the experience. If you're in Vegas it's worth checking out. read more

Hes very kind and I love that he has conversations and talks to us. Should definitely give him a raise! He is lovely at talking with customers and very sweet and kind!!!! The service is really chill on a week day for lunch. The ambiance is totally great for kids and the kids burger surprisingly good for two little sliders. The pasta i had was a chicken alfredo and it was alright. Kinda like on par with a olive garden. Be sure not to shop in the gift store until after you're eating because you'll get a 15% discount! And if you talk to The right people on the strip you can get a free appetizer or kids meal! If you can, Daemon is a good server and chill "safari" guide! read more

I would like to first say a shout out to the amazing service of Ronnee! She was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed for our table. She also made sure to check in every so often to see if our baby woke up and we wanted anything for him to eat. My husband and I visited this location, located on the Vegas trip, the week before Christmas. We had a great time and really enjoyed our food. I will say, though that I didn't care for my drink so much. And I wish that I had been able to do one of the alcohol drinks, but since I breast-feed our baby, I was unable to partake. But the food is the main show I will say and is absolutely amazing. Also like all rainforest cafés, the ambience here is so much fun. Let's my son woke up at the end of our meal. He loved looking at the elephant and all the other rainforest decor. I will say there a special little thunderstorm goes off every 30 minutes or so. Also, if you buy one of their special drinks, you get to keep the cup! Well, if it's the plastic cup, you keep the one that you drink from if it's a glass one they get you a brand new one. Just don't forget to ask for it at the check-in desk downstairs. read more

There is a little toy store on the first floor while the dining area is on the second floor. They have cute little 1-use birthday hats. There are giant fake animals that move and there is fake lightning that occurs periodically. We couldn't stay for the food because we arrived for our reservation late and had to go somewhere else shortly but the staff was very nice and understanding we had to leave. read more

Graduation celebration The 5 of us embarked on this evening and it was all about the 5 yr old kindergarten boy. He is amazing. An adventure and adorable. Seated within 15 minutes of reservation. He was Leary of the gorilla at the upstairs photo op but we made it up on the way out. He enjoyed the ambiance. From the elephant heads moving and eyes opening in addition to there sounds, to the butterfly wings, money swinging and the other animals found in the kids adventure book given to all children. He ordered 2 entrees and ate off of almost everyone's plate. After waiting about 40 min and the place wasn't crowded for food. We ordered pizza, hots , 2 pastas (1 a bit dry to a newby) and a salad. We drank: water, adult juice (5 year old description), mocktails, sprite and watered down strawberry lemonade. We had a blast! This celebration was a success for the grandson and that's what was important. He took advantage of 2 photo ops on the way out . read more

The restaurant was nice. The little show they have with some of the animals moving around was fun. Employees were friendly but could be more attentive to the tables, our waitress came to our table once to check up but not as frequent mind you we had a party of 20 here tonight we need refills but haven't been asked. But she was nice though. Food was good. I only took a few pics to show on here. I had the fish tacos, it was good but only thing I didn't like the fact that my fish tacos was served with Jasmin white rice maybe some cilantro rice would have been better. Same thing with the fajitas it was serviced with plain white rice. The steak was great though! I also enjoyed the Sparkling Volcano for dessert. Rainforest cafe is what it is. We've been to a few over the past 20 or so years. They are all about the same. But since our last visit 10 years ago, it's gone way downhill. Classic drinks with souvenir cups, pictures taken at the table etc. The food was not good. Frozen, fried, tasteless, dry. The kids meal came with fruit which was just a banana. The only reason it gets 2 stars is because our waiter was wonderful. He gave us the best service we had on vacation. Ricardo was great! read more

They even have a downstairs where the gift shop is!! :D Right as when we got up it was all jungle themed and a indoor storm happened it was so cool!! Downloaded yelp and made an account just to leave a review on the service here! Family and I are Australians visiting for the rugby, and we couldn't figure out where our team was going to start their walk to the stadium. Our very friendly server Damon gave us an inside tip on the locations. He was great conversation and very welcoming, I got a frosted strawberry lemonade and it was brought out in a light up glass which I got to keep! I think if you looked up ambience in the dictionary, rainforest cafe would be the first example. They have a thunderstorm every 20 minutes and their animal animatronics all move! We ordered the chicken blue mountain caprese sandwich but forgot to take a picture because we ate it right away . It was tasty and the chicken breast was juicy too. We also shared the artichoke dip with chips and pretty good appetizer. Creamy and the tomatoes added to the overall flavor of the cream and artichoke. Very cute jungle like atmosphere.
